“You may regret us, but you’ll sure as hell remember us too.”

Jeremy Hart has always been with me since I was a kid, even when he didn’t know it. But he was just a nameless ghost in my periphery until one drunken night that changed everything, and when I think I can finally move on, so-called fate has other plans.

When my professional life is thrown into chaos, it turns out Jeremy is the key to keeping my investors, who happen to be my narcissistic father and his unhinged partner, off my back. But working with Jeremy somehow unleashes the beast in me and the brat in him, and forces us to confront a lot of truths about ourselves that we’re not ready to accept.

When the lines of hate and love start to blur, I don’t know that either of us will come out unscathed.

So I’ll Know is an adult dark MM romance with tons of open-door spice, 90s throwbacks, mental health rep, and LGBTQIA+ rep. It features a grumpy x sunshine dynamic with a bratty switch.

This book is a standalone in an interconnected series; however, it takes place three years after Someday Away and overlaps with the timeline of Someone Like Me, so some twists and turns may be spoiled. It ends with a HEA. See the preface or author website for content warnings.

This review is for So I'll Know, but it could be for the entire Pacific Northwest Series.

While each book could be read as a standalone, you'd miss the banter and 90s references that make this series so much fun. The first two are poly romance MFM with overlapping characters into the third book, an MM romance between Marcus and Jeremy.

So I’ll Know explores Marcus learning to understand his sexuality as he falls for Jeremy, and the challenges of being out (Jeremy) but with someone still figuring out their own sexuality. Throughout the book (and the series), characters are exploring what their orientations mean and learning to define themselves outwardly. As in the first two books, the characters are supportive of each other as they learn more about their own sexual identity and Sara delivers this with so much care to explain to the characters and the readers what that orientation means. She gives these characters space to understand who they are, while delivering a sexy, vibrant romance that pulls you in. I firmly believe sexuality is fluid and it’s important to show characters who need that time and opportunity to understand what they are feeling.

The banter in So I'll Know absolutely SLAYED. Jeremy is supposedly the 'bratty' one, but the two of them together deliver that delicious push and pull and sexy banter that kept me laughing throughout the book. The other two books pull this off as well too (eg Link & Trey, and Seb & Brantley IYKYK). Each of the characters from Someday Away and Someone Like Me appear in So I’ll Know and there’s an overarching story that connects all three books.

So if you’re looking for some fun banter, moody PNW vibes, all the 90s references, and beautiful queer love, start with Someday Away and buckle up!
