A Year in the Life of Some Guy

Rate this book
A Year in the Life of Some Guy is an enjoyable, witty and well-observed novel about the everyday trials and tribulations of life as a thirty-something single male.

The characters are well-rounded individuals with real personalities, annoying habits and foibles, providing the reader with a stark dose of realism and some wonderful laugh out loud moments. Tim Calgon's next twelve months take various twists and turns, as we follow his quest for tantric happiness, job satisfaction and sexual enlightenment.

Tim's ordinary humdrum life takes an unusual twist with the chance meeting of an old schoolfriend; a meeting that has the potential to change his life forever. The interview process, however, is far from conventional. Will Tim rise to the challenge?

Together with Garth, Tim's desperately homosexual Glaswegian flatmate, A Year In The Life Of Some Guy depicts the ecstatic highs and suicidal lows of their next twelve months. A hilarious concoction of Bridget Jones, Adrian Mole and The InBetweeners.
