As the sizzling summer sun sets, a darker pleasure awaits... From the moonlit streets of Paris to a decadent, darkened beach, or the sinful streets of Manhattan, five deadly immortal heroes are looking for mortal flesh. Yet as the summer heat smoulders, it’s not blood lust driving these gorgeous vampires, but an intense desire for seduction – and that perfect summer kiss.
Michele has been writing romance, action-adventure and fantasy stories for over twenty years. Her first published novel was DARK RAPTURE.
France, musketeers, vampires and faeries populate her stories. And if she followed the adage 'write what you know', all her stories would have snow in them. Fortunately, she steps beyond her comfort zone and writes about countries she has never visited and of creatures she has never seen.
Michele also writes as Michele Renae, and you can find her erotica, chick lit, and Harlequin Romance titles at your favorite online retailer.
This is one of the cheesiest books I’ve ever read. Pretty sure this is aimed at horney teenagers who have decided they want an erotic version of Twilight.
I’m not a massive fan of short stories and all of these, with the exception of ‘In The Service Of The King’ felt rushed. The main characters have literally met 5mins ago and they are already madly in love and someone’s nub is getting rubbed.
Honestly sick of the word nub, keep seeing it written in every sex scene I've read recently. It’s not a sexy word, just write clit!
Apart from the last story, already mentioned above, all of these are instantly forgettable. ‘Island Vacation’ was the worst. The book is saved from a terrible rating by the last story in the book, which made more of an effort.
This is actually 5 stories in one and they are all Mills & Boon stories so very very samey.
Story 1 is about a woman on holiday who falls in love with a vampire. Story 2 is about a woman on holiday who falls in love with a vampire but she is actually Fae. Story 3 is about a woman sent on a mystery holiday to a vampire who wants to kill her but they end up falling in love and it turns out she was a vampire anyway and didn't know it. Story 4 is about a man falling in love with a vampire (a bit different to the rest!). Story 5 is a woman falling in love with a vampire in a weird ritual thing.
Lots of romance scenes obviously but it gets very boring reading the same thing over and over.
The stories themselves weren't too bad but I don't think putting them together in one book works well.
