Claire was found abandoned in a church as a child after a hurricane. No one ever claimed her and she grew up mistrusting people and keeping them at a distance. Desperate to help his wife heal her past to secure their future, Matt ended up driving her away... 6 months later, she survives an attack which causes memory loss and gives them a second chance at happiness- if only those ghosts from her past hadnt been stirred by her beloved. Unable to remember shes in danger, its up to Matt to protect the woman he loves. It was very cliched and not heavy on the romance aspect but it was a fun read.

It was okay, but not enough to it. The story doesn't tell you about what the h did when she got out of foster care, how she started her wholesale pastry business and made it a success (without money or connections), and it doesn't explain why it took the villain in the story 25 years to find her when he was determined from the start to (putting it politely) get rid of her.

And despite her understandably being worried about her background when she married a man from a wealthy prominent family, she still should have given the H more credit than to think he'd regret marrying her if he learned the truth, so she leaves him to give him chance to be free of her. That was just DUMB!

And all that hurricane stuff was supposed to be atmospheric, but it just got annoying.

No big deal if you skip this one.

Love the H, seriously after reading about the so called alpha heroes who are so cowardly they are afraid to love, its nice to come across a H who really is worth falling in love with. The H and h grow into this story and work out their relationship and don't lie and betray to each other and deserve their HEA.

Sorry but I stopped in the middle of chapter 5 and I can't go on anymore.. at first it hooked me but it stopped. Idk why bcs I usually love the idea of a guy that liked the girl first but this just bore me :( sad.. the hero seems likeable and heroine is nice too but.. I can't go on.. sorry

I didn't like it. I did not like the FMC, the MMC was a great guy and (before amnesia) FMC was cruel to him and left him. He clearly loved her and tried to do something nice for her and she thanks him by leaving him and asking for a divorce. Np.

"Jangan nilai buku dr sinopsisnya..." kadang bener juga loh..wkt baca sinopsisnya gw gak mood bgt baca bukunya, kesannya biasa bgt tp karna dah kelamaan dicuekin tuh buku akhirnya baca juga..

Pertama baca langsung penuh teka teki yg bikin gregetan pengen cepet2 tau sebenernya apa sih masalah antara Claire ma Matt, hubby-nya.

Cerita dimulai dr Claire yg amnesia krn dicelakai ma org yg punya hubungan ma masa lalu Claire, kemunculan org ini dipicu ma penyelidikan Matt yg mencari tahu siapa ibu Claire. Walau sebenernya berniat baik, tp sayangnya Claire yg sebenernya malu krn akhirnya Matt tahu kalo ibunya bukan wanita baik2 mutusin ninggalin Matt.
Hebatnya nih, Matt ini diceritain sosok suami yg baiiiikkkk banget sampe rasanya hampir sempurna malah sempurna kaleee ya..Matt ngambil resiko dgn manfaatin amnesia Claire utk bikin mrk bersatu lagi. Wah salut deh buat Matt yg super sabar, baik hati belum lagi kaya, duh kisahnya tuh romantis banget sampe Claire tuh bertanya2 sendiri, kok bisa ya dia lupain suami spt Matt, n Claire yg amnesia ini ngerasa selalu aman ma Matt padahal kalo dulu nih, dia tuh paling gak mau bersandar ma Matt, walo aslinya takut badai tp kalo Matt berusaha menenangkan dia, pasti dia dengan mandirinya gak mau Matt deketin, hiks..kasihan deh Matt nya malahan nih Matt sampe rela gak punya anak kalo mang Claire gak mau, tp tenang dulu...alasan Claire gak mau punya anak adalah karna dia takut kalo dia bawa gen gak bener di darahnya tp semua berubah ktk Claire amnesia, malah yg bikin hepi nih, saat mrk mau make love, Matt dgn berat hati bilang klo aslinya mrk dah berpisah, n saat gw duga Claire bakalan ngamuk n else spt cerita2 lain ternyata tidak, malahan Claire blg apa semua kebaikan Matt stlh mrk pisah itu hanya krn kasihan, otomatis langsung dong Matt dapet harapan n nyatain kalo dia cinta ma Claire..uughhh pokonya banya bgt saat2 mengharukan di novel ini n romantis kalee...
dah menjelang akhir cerita, ada adegan tegangnya nih karna kemunculan tokoh misterius yg berusha ngebunuh Claire lagi, siapa dia..? Dia itu Carl, pacar sekaligus pembunuh ibunya Claire, n Claire adalah saksi matanya, tp karna masih kecil Claire yg gak ngerti hny inget kata2 ibunya kalo dia harus ngumpet n krn trauma dia jd gak inget kejadian itu sampe akhirnya Carl muncul kembali utk nyoba bunuh Claire yg ke-2 kali..Matt yg pny firasat gak enak buru2 pulang k rumah n untungnya sempet nolong Claire n berhasil ngelumpuhin tuh penjahat..fiuhhh..yg seru nih, wkt ingetan Claire kembali, dia kan berhadap2an ma Carl tuh ma Carl yg dgn liciknya blg klo gak mungkin Matt mau terima dia kalo tau siapa ibu Claire, tp Claire yakin n blg klo Matt cinta dia apa adanya sambil ngelirik ke Matt yg saat itu diam2 ada dibelakang Carl n saat itu spt nya Claire juga mo blg ke Matt klo Claire mencintai dia n gak bakal berpisah lagi ma Matt =)
