Dear Reader,

While expecting my first child (more years back than I care to count), I read my very first romance novel, and I've been in love with them ever since. I grew up in the ranch country of western Nebraska, and it was inevitable I’d eventually write lots of books about cowboys. I still live in Nebraska with my husband (who is not a cowboy), four married daughters and a whole slew of perfect grandchildren.

I'm a long-time member of RWA and RAH, my local chapter. I'm also one of the founders of Petticoats & Pistols, a popular blogsite for western romance. I love to cook, hang out at my lake cabin, and decorate birthday cakes for anyone who will let me.

Often we do wrong and find that the only way out is to pay for what we've done and make restitution. This is the situation Lark finds herself. At an early age, she rode with the Reno Gang and committed crimes with them. Now she's respectable and working in a bank. Her greatest fear comes to pass when she's confronted by one of the old gang and she must choose between running and facing more prison time. It doesn't help that she's fallen in love with a bounty hunter--the same one who shot her years earlier. I loved this story not only for the strong message, but for the wounded characters that are so torn. Ms Crooks has a wonderful talent for storytelling and delivered an excellent one in Wanted. I urge you to try it as well as others by her.

New Author to me... Great story line, well developed plot and characters. This story moves fast and I finished it quickly.
I know you will love it as much as I did! Secrets and danger. What more can you ask? A happy ending!
