Make Them Bleed

Rate this book
He’s secretly stalking her inbox. She’s secretly hiring masked killers. Love’s never been this twisted—or this deadly.

Mega influencer Arby Kate’s murder shocked the world when five masked men ended her livestream… and her life. Now, months later, her sister Juno Kate is obsessed with revenge, turning to the dark web for vigilante justice. Arrow Finn, Juno’s best friend and hopelessly devoted secret admirer, panics when he discovers her dangerous plan—thanks to the spy software he’s secretly installed on her computer.

Determined to protect her, Arrow poses as an online masked vigilante expert to help Juno track down the killers. But as they chase shadows through the neon-lit streets of Saint Pierce, the lines between friendship, obsession, and love blur dangerously.

Can Arrow keep his identity hidden while Juno’s quest for justice spirals hilariously, chaotically out of control? Or will their twisted game of masks finally expose the truth they’re both too scared to admit?

Darkly comedic, outrageously romantic, and deliciously suspenseful. This masked-stalker romcom will steal your heart…if it doesn’t kill you first.

Arrow & Juno edition

💻🎙️ System Update: Saint Pierce Files – Arrow & Juno Edition 🎙️💻

Breaking news from the neon streets of Saint Pierce: Logan Chance has officially fried my circuits with Make Them Bleed. Part dark suspense, part rom-com chaos, and all the best-friends-to-lovers tension my heart could handle.

Arrow Finn—tech wizard, secret stalker (the sweet kind, promise), and employee of THE Dean Maddox—finds himself way over his head when Juno dives into vigilante justice🫣. Spyware, masks, and hacked feelings😳 Yeah, it’s a mess, but the kind of mess that kept me glued to every page.

And because no Saint Pierce book is complete without a few familiar faces, keep your eyes peeled—this one has some surprise appearances that make the city feel alive and buzzing with connections.…let’s just say I was Greedy for more😜

The vibe? Imagine if your favorite true crime podcast got hijacked by hackers, streamed live from the back alleys of Saint Pierce, and somehow ended with a swoony love confession. Dark, funny, suspenseful, and surprisingly tender all at once.

Also—bonus points to Logan for that killer cover art. Perfectly unhinged. Perfectly Saint Pierce.

This was an exciting read. The first book in a new series. It has suspense, humor, thrills and chemistry. Best friends Juno and Arrow solves a mystery that keeps you hanging on. Never a dull moment. I like that he brings characters from previous books in it. Great Job Logan

Make them Bleed by Logan Chance is the story of Arrow and Juno. She promised her sister that she would discover the person responsible for her demise. She would bring him to justice. Her methods for doing so are not the safest. So, Arrow (her best friend) puts himself into the picture…in disguise. Now, they are both in immense danger as they try to determine who is responsible.

Loved, loved, LOVED this story!!! I’m always in for a good ‘figure out who done it’ read!! This one was fantastic!! Lots of twists and turns. Wondering who the culprit is…and how long it will take to find him/her. Plus, there are the secrets, lies, surprises, and romance that will keep you deeply invested in this story!!!!

What a phenomenal start to a new standalone series! This story pulled me in fast and deep. When I wasn’t reading I was thinking about Arrow and Juno, dying to get my hands on another chapter. This story is dark, comedic and sexy all rolled into one package. The twists and turns keep you thinking and wanting more throughout the entire story. I adored each character in this book, the “Dead Presidents” had me laughing at times where I didn’t expect to be. I’m so ready to Gage’s story next.

it's nerdy and techy and witty with some romance and heat. don't go into this looking for a cutesy romance because you're not gonna find that here (in case the title didn't clue you in haha) if you love procedurals with heart and heat this is for you.

Dark Rom-com

Make Them Bleed by Logan Chance takes readers to the dark side of St Pierce. Or more the dark web side. The side where people are not afraid to extinguish a life on a livestream. The side where people hide behind masks and keep their intentions close to the vest.

Juno is on a destructive path ever since she lost her sister determined to find out the people and reasons behind her death since the cops have shuffled the case to the side. While her best friend, Arrow, is doing everything to keep her alive, even if that means he has to keep secrets. This techy, crime-driven, rom-com will surprise readers as they go along for the ride with characters you may have seen before and unexpected twists along the way.

The best type of chaos
I loved Juno and Arrow. Their best friends to lovers romance was sweet, steamy and romantic. But they are diving into a mysterious, dangerous, twisted, dark and suspenseful world as they try to solve her sister’s death.
With vengeance as Juno’s driving force and protecting her as Arrow’s reason for living these two have secrets galore, mutual longing and growing chemistry only two of them.
Arrow’s friends add lightness and humour, there’s plenty of witty banter and sassy texts, tension and emotion.
High class tech that ties this to the Maddox Security series, video games, sweet-stalking, past Presidents, drama, action and so many twists and turns.
I couldn’t put this down and I’m looking forward to the next instalment to this new series.

Logan Chance gave me everything I could ask for in a suspense filled romance. It had drama, action, sizzling passion, secrets with thrills and chills-making a wild ride I couldn’t put down. Balanced against the danger was humor that gave me a breather from the intensity. Juno and Arrow’s friends to lovers journey was perfect. Glimpses of past characters was wonderful for me as a fan but anyone could follow the storyline connections with ease. Arrow’s dominant side had me fanning myself. Looking forward to the next in this series. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I rarely give five-star reviews. This novel isn't the perfect I think I have to have for a 5-star, but is pretty darn close. It sucked me in and held me tight for the better part of two days. It has most of what I want -- sweet romance, intelligent protagonists in a close-knit gang of intelligent side kicks. It gave humor (I mean, president masks?), angst, disappointment, love, serious crime work that would normally belong to law enforcement but with the kind of footwork the cops just don't have time for. Yeah, it was a pretty great effort. I can no longer say my favorite Logan Chance novels are the rom com. This sets a high bar for the rest of the Pretty Deadly Things series

If I could I would give it 10 🌟🌟🌟🌟

O.M.G.!!! 😱😱🤯🤯

Legit, my favorite so far of Logan's books!

Arrow and Juno are amazing. The story keeps you guessing throughout the entire book and their connection and love for each other is prominent. Arrow would literally burn (or bleed 😉) the world for her. The rest of the gang is awesome too. Not to mention we have some old fav characters as well.

I was mad that I couldn't sit and read this all in one shot because I just had to know what happened!

So, so good!!

I received this as an arc from the author and I’m voluntarily leaving my honest review.

This was an amazing story. It was well written and had me completely hooked from the beginning. It was so unlike any other story I’ve read before and I really enjoyed that. It was a bit dark but still had romance and lots of steam but what kept me hooked was the mystery. I can’t wait to read more about these characters as the series progress.

And the twists had me gasping in surprise a couple times….

I read this as a free arc from the author after having found another of his books, Make Them Beg. Thank you to Logan for the opportunity to read and review them both.

I loved this book for the same reasons it made it a bit hard to follow sometimes; the characters speak in half way completed thoughts with vivid descriptions. Arrow and Juno are human in their feelings and processes but sometimes they’re too lost in what the forest (storyline) looks like to see the trees (the events happening in real time).

Without giving too many details away Arrow and Juno are childhood best friends who are navigating the recent death of Juno’s sister and Juno’s subsequent grief over the tragedy and the inadequacies that the local PD has made on the case. Juno takes matters into her own hands and hires someone from the dark web to help her track down and close the case herself. Arrow knowing his best friend better than he knows the back of his eyelids figured she would do something possibly reckless and steps in to be that person… without actually telling her it’s him. Naturally confusing feelings develop rather fast for Juno and Arrow.

The storyline is fresh and interesting and like I mentioned before it’s beautifully descriptive but sometimes overwhelming in losing the movement of the scene overall. I will take a moment here however to say that the scene where these two actually share a bed for the first time is knockout of the park spicy! Whew!

Overall I gave this one 4 out of 5 stars because sometimes it felt like overload with dialogue but I still ended up not knowing what was going on and ultimately it felt a little like Gotham-esque where the police sat back and let others do the work and pretended certain things either didn’t happen or just flat out had no consequences. It felt discombobulated somehow and I really wish it didn’t. I will read the second book in this series because I already read the third but I will say that reading out of order didn’t hinder either story in case you’re considering picking up not with this first book.

Read this for:

Independent reviewer for BookSirens, I was gifted my copy of this book.

THis is book 1 in a new series by Logan Chance, and it spins off Men of MAddox Security (I think, since I read that series and Dean Maddox pops up here!) But you don't need to have read those for this to make sense. Arrow popped up at some point in the other series, is all.

Juno's sister was murdered, while she live streamed. And Juno sets about finding her killers and getting some justice, somehow. She resorts to the dark web, and meets a masked man who offers to help. Said masked man is none other than her best friend, Arrow, who puts trackers on her computer, so he could keeps a eye on what she was doing in the dark web. CAn he keep his identity a secret, while helping Juno??

Ohhhh! I liked this, a lot!

Juno and Arrow are perfect for each other, even if they have been friends for years!

What I loved most about this, was when Juno finds out who the masked man is, and what he has done, she's not mad, or angry. She understands WHY Arrow does what he does. What she does feel, though, is a whoosh (almost, since it's been brewing a while!) of attraction to Arrow and she forces the issue. Loved the way she does that.

It's dark, Arby, Juno's sister is murdered live streaming. There are some darker forces at work here but I did NOT see where they were coming from. So well played on that front, Mr Chance!

It's steamy, once Juno and Arrow get their act together!

It has some funnier moments, but I wouldn't call this a romantic comedy. Emotional in places, very much so.

A character, right at the beginning, has a say and I wasn't sure why he did for a long time. But it does become clear, in the end.

A huge supporting cast, who I believe will get their own stories. Looking forward to that.

But heads up about this one. The murder is live streamed, and on page, from a viewer's POV. Harrowing reading, but I do think it is needed.

4 VERY good stars

Absolutely un-put-downable! Make Them Bleed is a non-stop thrill ride and an addictive first book in the Pretty Deadly Things series. Logan Chance delivers an explosive series opener that is impossible to put down!

From pulse-pounding suspense and a delicious whodunit mystery to slow-burn angst and jaw-dropping action, this book truly has it all. The witty banter and sizzling chemistry will keep you hooked, while the writing is so vivid, you’ll feel like you’re there in the middle of the drama!

Adding to the excitement are the location choice and appearances from beloved characters in Logan Chance’s other novels. For fans, these cameos are a real treat!

Juno and Arrow are the heart of the story. Juno’s fierce determination to uncover her sister’s killers makes her a bold and unforgettable heroine, while Arrow’s loyalty and protective nature are the perfect balance. Their dynamic is magnetic, and Arrow’s crew adds both support and humor to the adventure. I’m already dying to read more about these characters in future installments!

Just when you think you know what’s coming, the plot twists knock you off your feet and have you shouting, “WHAT?!” at every turn. It’s a wild, unpredictable journey from start to finish.

Romantic suspense fans will devour this novel! Make Them Bleed is an absolute must-read—you’ll be desperate for the next book as soon as you finish the last page!

Make Them Bleed is the first book in a new series, and it follows Arrow and Juno. At first, I couldn’t quite place who these characters were or if they connected to other Logan Chance books—until Dean Maddox and Maddox Security were mentioned. Then it all started coming back to me!

Arrow works on the cyber security side of things and often rides the line between legal and illegal. Juno, his best friend, is consumed by the need to find out who brutally murdered her sister, Arby—a famous influencer—while she was livestreaming. Determined to get answers and make someone pay, Juno turns to the dark web, where she plans to meet up with a vigilante. Little does she know, that vigilante is actually Arrow, thanks to spyware he secretly installed on her computer.

What follows is a mix of suspense, humor, and romance. I loved the addition of the masks and the set of presidents. Arrow’s friends are absolute standouts—they prove time and again just how much they have each other’s backs. Juno is tough as nails, and I wasn’t prepared for all the secrets she was able to uncover. Plus, Arrow and Juno are either incredibly unlucky or just happen to show up at the worst possible times—because let’s just say, they definitely make more than a few people bleed.

I loved it, and it had me wondering…could something like this actually happen in real life? Probably not. But either way, I can’t wait for the next book!

Arrow and Juno

This is book 1 of the series, so a good time to jump in. Juno and Arrow have been best friends for many years. But Arrow is keeping a secret..he’s been in love with Juno since the age of 10. Arrow does some work with Dean Maddox and Juno has a podcast.

When a tragedy happens, Juno goes searching for answers. She goes to the dark web to hire a vigilante to help her. Juno doesn’t dare tell Arrow but doesn’t like keeping secrets from him. As she meets up with the masked vigilante, there is something so familiar about him. Little does she know, Arrow is keeping another secret, he is the man behind the mask.

Arrow enlists his roommate and several of his friends to help with the investigation. As they get closer to answers, things become more dangerous. But this also pushes Arrow and Juno closer together..their true feelings revealed.

As far as the story line, it was good. Liked the concept and how everything played out for the most part. But..there are some issues. There are a few missing elements or loose ends. Also the flow; The romance side threw off the flow in a few locations. Going straight from crime searching to bed had an odd feel to the read. That being said, the book is still worth a read. It was quite entertaining throughout.

Pretty deadly things is a brand new series from Logan Chance and Make them Bleed is my new all-time favorite book! I absolutely adored Arrow and Juno and how well they fit together.

I’ve had an unusually busy week when I started this one. One where I couldn’t binge read but every chance I could, I was opening my kindle and diving back into the pages. All I wanted to do was to read and find out what was going to happen next.

This book has all the fun things: suspense, action, humor, mystery, spice, romance….
We open to a murder-not your generic romance here! There is vigilantes justice going on, tech wizardry, masked protectors, some “good” stalking and a whole bundle of feelings and emotions.

The secondary characters are unique and intriguing (can’t wait for their stories!) and I love the tie-in’s to characters we have loved form the past. (Maddox Securities and Saint Pierce)

This was a roller coaster ride with so many twists and turns, ups and downs, you have GOT to read this! It’s a little dark, a little humor, and a whole lot of suspense. It is gripping, riveting, captivating and bewitching all in one story! I can recommend this enough and if I could leave more than 5 stars I would.

Readers we have a new series by Logan Chance and have to say it is one rollercoaster of so many ups and downs yet it is the an end worth going through the ride. One thing for sure when you think you know who it is Logan Chance throws in a twist you never saw coming. I loved that once again the setting is in St. Pierce meaning we see Detective Huxley, Deveraux and yes Club Greed in a way that actually fits into the book. We see a daughter, sister and a friend grieving yet determined to find the real killers even if it means putting her own life in danger. Then there is Arrow Finn, who has always been in love with Juno yet knowing that she will hate him once his secret is revealed her still fights for her. This is more than the death of an influencer but more of one woman just trying to do the right thing but in a way that Logan Chance makes it so much more. This is the first in the Pretty Deadly Things series and boy we still have Arrows friends coming soon can't wait for their stories. Once again this is a Logan Chance story you don't want to miss full of action, suspense, friendship and a love that is well quite surprising.

Received as an ARC and leaving my honest review voluntarily. Note that the book starts with a murder, it's not very descriptive but the violence and brutality of it is implied, so sensitive readers to read with caution. I always love a book that can keep me guessing and this one had a twist I didn't see coming and a bit of a 'karma' message woven in... LOVED it! Arrow and Juno are best friends and whilst he has always loved her, she has only seen him as her best friend. This all changes when she needs help finding her sister's killers and he is there, always a constant presence and support and a safe place for her to just be. I loved the pacing of the story, both the chasing for clues and reveal of the truth, and how Arrow and Juno's relationship develops (emotionally, sweetly and steamily) and of course the rest of the 'vigilante gang' added to the humour and depth of the story. There are quite a bit of technical bits (podcasts and such) in the story that were interesting but did confuse me a little (cos I'm just not techie enough). A really great read you don't want to miss and I for one, can't wait for the next one!

Scooby and the Gang.
I enjoyed the young adults who go ‘Scooby and the Gang’ solving a murder mystery surrounding Arby Kate, Juno’s sister, online murder. The way it starts is intentional. The way the characters collaborate and work on solving the murder of who ‘The Five’ were and who hired them is well thought out. Easy process to follow along with some tension breaker comedy. A comedy needed to break the intensity of cracking down the evil. It becomes a guessing game of who did it. Juno Kate and best friend Arrow Finn make quite the pair and toss in some couples-feelings - beautiful. Their sexy scenes are TNT. The fact it was a long process to solve the murder without the vigilantes getting arrested and having all their efforts hand-delivered to the detective was clever. And that detective being married to Club Greed’s owner circles back to another series. The fact that this entire world is connected. I’ve enjoyed reading the different dynamics of this St Pierce world.

Make Them Bleed is the 1st book in Pretty Deadly Things and follows
Juno Kate and Arrow Flynn.
The book begins with the brutal murder of Juno sister by five masked men during her
livestream. Juno is determined to figure out the identity of the five assailants even turning to the dark web looking for vigilante justice. That's when Arrow her best friend and secret admirer who has been in love with her since they were kids steps in pretending to be the vigilante in order to protect her. He's not the typical dominant alpha MMC like Logan's other leading men instead he's the quite computer nerd who uses his knowledge, connections and close friendships to be the hero Juno needs when things get dicey.

Their storyline has a little of everything murder, suspense, danger, secrets, humor and romance. It was a nice surprise to see characters from previous books like Dean Maddox, Devereaux from Club Greed and his wife Detective Huxley. I'm looking forward to seeing where this series leads.

I received a free ARC through Booksprout an I'm voluntarily leaving my review.

I did not expect this incredibly creative suspense romance. It is a darker, edgier story that is excellent.

I love the main characters, Juno and Arrow. They are friends who are hunting down Juno's sister, Arby's killers while becoming lovers in a unique and interesting way. Their small circle of friends round out their task force looking for answers in a military precise-like way.

Some of the tech/hacker aspects were unfamiliar to me and following the clues with the various suspects got tricky keeping up, but it did not diminish the book's addictive plot.

It is a spellbinding story with laughter, pain, surprises (some not good), hot sex and love. This is a must read for anyone who enjoys excellent writing and great storytelling. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

Poetic Justice

An interesting “Who Done It” murder/mystery novel. Juno needs closure to her sister’s murder. Initially working on her own, Arrow steps in to protect her from dangerous situations, helping her solve who killed her sister with the help of his team’s expertise.

I wouldn’t consider this story as a Romcom as indicated on my ARC cover title, “Make Them Bleed: A Dark Masked Romcom”. The romance is light & I didn’t read anything that I found humorous or comedic over a scene. Trying to follow the flow of the conversations & not understanding their lingo, if this is the way the characters spoke (newer younger generation) or if there were words missing in the sentence, I finally gave up on understanding them. This novel’s HEA is getting the truth on who killed her sister so she can close this sad chapter in her life (in my opinion).

I didn’t expect this book to be such a wild mix of dark comedy, romance, and thriller vibes, but it absolutely worked. The premise alone hooked me: a grieving sister diving into the dark web for revenge, a best friend secretly stalking her inbox while pretending to be someone else online, and a love story that’s equal parts twisted and heartfelt.

The setting of neon-lit Saint Pierce felt so cinematic, and the whole “masked vigilantes + stalker romance” angle gave me something fresh and unpredictable. I loved how the tension balanced between laugh-out-loud chaos and genuinely suspenseful moments.

Arrow and Juno’s dynamic was messy, obsessive, and surprisingly sweet underneath it all — exactly the kind of morally complicated romance I enjoy. If you like your romcoms with a dangerous edge, secrets, and a lot of dark humor, this is one you shouldn’t miss.

Wow!! Make Them Bleed is a mystery/suspense story with friends to lovers romance. This is Juno and Arrow’s story, and what a story it is!! Juno’s is a podcaster who loves to talk about horror and gore stories. Arrow is her best friend and security/math nerd that will do anything for her. Their story starts off when Juno’s sister was murdered during her live stream. I love how she is determined to find out who did it and why. I also love how protective Arrow is in helping Juno, in secret, so he can let her be in control of the investigations. I also love how we get to see a whole new group of security team that Arrow trust. I can’t wait to see if they have a story too. I really enjoy their story and can’t wait to read more.

Standalone romance Book 1 of Pretty Deadly Things

A deliciously twisted romcom that had me legit laughing out loud and swooning with the romance. I was glued to this book from the first chapter. It had all the right ingredients for a great story action, romance, humor, suspense, and fantastic characters. The side characters are also worth mentioning adding to the plot and hopefully getting their own books.

If there's such a thing as a wholesome cinnamon roll stalker then Arrow is the perfect example. The way he cares for Juno had me melting. Juno is simply a BA FMC. She is relentless in her pursuit of justice for her sister no matter the cost.

Tropes:
Stalker
Mask
Vigilante
Spicy

Dual POV
Juno
Arrow

I was invested till the end to solve the mystery of who did it and I was not disappointed.

This page-turner has a little bit of everything, action, suspense, romance, spice, mystery, and humour. Arrow has loved his best friend Juno for years, but can't bring himself to tell her. He is a tech wizard, and he's determined to help her find her sister Arby's killers, if only to keep Juno safe. Juno feels the cops are not going to catch the killers, so she takes on some vigilante justice, not just with Arrow's help, but also with the help of his wonderful friend group. I love the jokes about the masks and so many other things. We get to revisit Saint Pierce and the people and places we know and love there. There are some great twists in this unpredictable plot. I highly recommend the book, and I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.
