She hid her omega status for years. Now she's been claimed by the one predator who owns the skies.
For eight years, Amelia Miller has survived as the head nurse of a human settlement, using black market suppressants to hide her omega biology. One failed dose destroys everything when a routine inspection reveals her secret, marking her as valuable breeding stock for the central facilities.
When her transport crashes in the treacherous Convergence Peaks during a violent storm, Amelia's suppressants wash away in the rain. As heat symptoms surge through her body, something massive circles overhead—Vex, a territorial Chimeric Dominator whose powerful wings and predatory instincts make him the apex hunter of the mountains.
Captured and claimed against her will, Amelia discovers the terrifying truth of Chimeric anatomy—a primary shaft with a pronounced knot and a secondary suction organ designed specifically for omega pleasure. Her body betrays her completely as Vex claims her in flight, hundreds of feet above the jagged peaks, creating a bond she cannot escape.
When Captain Kain of the Feline Enforcers tracks her to Vex's territory, Amelia faces a choice worse than death—return to the breeding facilities or accept protection from the winged predator whose bite marks now decorate her neck and collarbone. As her pregnancy reveals itself, the stakes climb higher, with Council forces hunting the valuable medical omega now carrying a Chimeric heir.
Against all expectations, Vex teaches her to survive in his harsh domain, showing glimpses of intelligence and honor that contradict everything she's been taught about Primes. When specialized Gargoyle binders arrive to permanently ground Vex and reclaim her for breeding, Amelia must decide—fight for the freedom she's always wanted, or defend the winged alpha whose savage claiming has somehow evolved into something neither of them expected.
Chimera’s Prisoner is the sixth book in the scorching hot Prime Omegaverse Series! Contains explicit scenes with unique Chimeric anatomy, aerial claiming, dubious consent evolving to mutual surrender, and a dark romance where captivity transforms into a partnership forged by choice rather than force. HEA guaranteed!
Sweet and steamy is my thing! I just love when a hero is gentle, passionate, and protective with his heroine. It makes me melt inside. As a reader, I’ve especially come to love monster romance novels, but I couldn’t find enough that scratched that itch. So I decided to start writing!
If you love my books, please let me know by emailing allegrarosebooks@gmail.com. And be sure to leave me some reviews! I’d love to have your support. Thank you so much for reading.
I really loved this book. It started out exciting from the start as Amelia is being taken away after discovered to be omega. The story was suspenseful and fast paced. I loved both Amelia and Vex and how they first discovered each other.
'The rain has transformed me from simple injured prey into something far more dangerous— a broadcast beacon announcing to every predator in these mountains that vulnerable, unclaimed omega flesh waits below, ready for the taking.'
'My pupils contract to razor slits as I process this impossibility. An unregistered omega, in my territory, during a storm that would challenge a Prime's survival instincts. The combination sends something predatory and territorial surging through my blood— a claiming hunger I haven't felt in years.'
Her rebound heat will kill her if she refuses Vex's offer. Her mind rebels, but even that won't survive much longer. A painful death or submission to a powerful chimera alpha? Amelia is smart, rational, and resourceful as a nurse. She chooses to live.
The chemistry between them was scorching, and the knotting scene midflight was hot. (Mid-flight friskiness isn't as common as I would like in romance novels where it's possible, unfortunately.)
"This is what your heat truly needed," Vex growls against my ear, wings maintaining steady rhythm while the knot locks us together in biological inevitability. "Complete claiming. Total surrender. Perfect bonding." "Now you're truly claimed... Your heat will answer only to me."
I liked the way their relationship developed and grew. More suspense from threat of the Council not willing to give up something that has now exponentially increased in value- Amelia and her unborn half chimera baby.
The scene when Amelia confirms she's pregnant and Vex's reaction was my favorite in the story. A layer of connection and vulnerability. I loved it.
I did discover a minor oopsie where Vex asked Amelia for her name twice- at the end of chapter 4 and again at the end of chapter 5:
"Amelia." He tastes my name like he's planning to devour it. "I'm going to enjoy breaking you in." (Kindle Locations 429-430)
"You have a name?" he asks, the question absurdly normal given our circumstances. I consider refusing, but information can be a weapon too. "Amelia," I answer, voice hoarse from sounds I couldn't suppress. "Amelia Miller." "Vex," he offers in return, settling beside me on the platform with casual possession. "Welcome to my territory, Amelia Miller." (Kindle Locations 608-610)
i really loved this book because vex doesn't have an entire stronghold of ppl he lives along in his cave and holds his mountain territory alone. He is the first prime who lives completely alone without human settlements or other chimera's in a fortress. Amelia has been captured and is being transported to a breeding facility when the transport crashes and she escapes. badly hurt and bleeding and in heat she is found by vex who actually gives her a choice, be claimed and bred by him or be left to die slowly from her unclaimed heat. again first prime to actually give her a choice in her own life even if both choices were bad. amelia chooses to live and be claimed so she can fight to someday escape but during and after being claimed and spending time with vex things slowly start to change. he teaches her survival skills in the mountains, combat skills and she is a nurse so has healing skills. this is not the way of a prime who normally keep their omega's locked up and close to prevent escape but vex knows the council will be looking for their escaped omega and he can't trust his claim will be enough. sure enough danger and trouble come as the council and another prime the councils general want amelia regardless that shes been claimed and bloodbonded and is now pregnant. and they will stop at nothing to have her even if they have to kill to do so. amelia must choose stay and fight with vex being his claimed omega in free will or likely be captured by the council and taken to a breeding facility where she will be separated from her child and used by multiple primes. a gripping, thrilling story of determination, capture turned choice, fighting for freedom, loyalty, heart, strength, passion, refusal to give up and more. and emotional read this has highs and lows but u won't stop cheering for vex and amelia to save themselves and their bond. i highly recommend.

He claimed her body. She refused to give him her will.
In a world shattered by rifts and ruled by biological alphas, Amelia (h) has hidden her omega identity for eight long years. But when a scan outs her in the worst possible place, she’s hauled toward a breeding center with no chance of escape. Until the storm hits. Until the crash. Until Vex (H).
He’s a winged Chimeric alpha with instincts built for domination and a brutal code of survival. When he finds her injured and entering heat, the choice is stark: submit or die. What begins as captivity becomes something darker, deeper, and far more dangerous.
Amelia refuses to break. Even as her body betrays her, even as Vex knots her again and again, she clings to who she is. But the world outside doesn’t care. The Council wants her back. Pregnant, bonded, and valuable, she becomes the center of a war she never asked to fight.
Enemies are closing in, and Amelia’s no longer just running for herself. With forces that want to control her body and erase her will, survival means more than escape, it means taking a stand. Whether Vex is her captor or her ally may not matter if the world decides she’s a weapon instead of a person.
Amelia evolves from a strategic, guarded fugitive into a resilient and adaptive survivor who learns to balance vulnerability with control. Vex transforms from a dominant, instinct-driven alpha into a protector who gradually respects Amelia’s autonomy. Their relationship shifts from one built on coercion to a bond marked by trust, growth, and choice.
A steamy, dark, enemies to lovers omegaverse monster romance exploring survival, captivity, power dynamics, transformation, consent, resistance, identity, autonomy, adaptation, chosen family, control, freedom.
CHIMERA'S PRISONER is the sixth book in the Prime Omegaverse series, and if you haven't figured it out yet, the trigger warnings are there for a reason. This is a dark monster romance with dub-con. If that's not your thing, move along.
Amelia is a nurse who has been captured by the felines for transportation to a breeding centre. Funnily enough, she's none too keen on the idea. When Mother Nature sends a storm to help out, she is quick to take advantage. Unfortunately for her, Vex is flying overhead, patrolling his territory, when he spots her and scents her.
I loved Vex! Yes, he was an Alpha, but he also had a heart. And although he knew from the beginning that Amelia was his, he wasn't obnoxious about it either, unlike some of the others I've read.
With some high heat, this story also had emotions, connections, and action. The Council are none too pleased with Vex claiming Amelia and will do anything to retrieve her.
I wasn't too keen on the last book, but I did enjoy this one a lot more. Chapter 16 was repeated in my copy, but on the whole, there were fewer repetitions than in previous stories. I am hoping for all the stories to connect at some point, but am enjoying the different scenarios as they each conclude.

Vex and Amelia. The deminsions are merging with it came the monsters mingeling with the humans. With this came the alpha/omega system. Meaning you are my mate. To keep peace between the species the alpha demanded that the omegas be brought forward. Thus began the new world order. She is being bound and transported after a scan revealed shes an omega and after three escape attempts. Captain Kain keeps his eye on her. They keep her drugged. Shes a medical omega. Rare, valuable. Shes bound for experiments. But the chaotic weather seems to be what shes waiting for. They crash. Her suppresents that shes had for eight years being washed away. Shes going into heat. OMG it could kill her. She needs shelter before Kain can track her heat. Shes injured. In her hiding place she becomes an unmated omega, injured, entering heat. Fair game. Above her theres a winged preditor. Circling, hunting. A Prime Chimeric Dominator and he has her scent. Love their POV thoughts. They are so hot and passionate. A dark passionate chimera alpha and an omega in heat .. so hot. Well written with passion and intrigue and tension that crackels like lightening. Couldnt put it down.

Chimera's Prisoner by Allegra Rose is the sixth book of the Prime Omegaverse series. This can be easily read as a standalone, as there are only a few connection to other books in the series.
In a world that has been transformed by the humanoid monsters that crossed over from a parallel universe, even human biology has adapted. And that is how we find ourselves in an omegaverse, complete with many alpha/omega pairings.
Amelia is a nurse and an omega. The oppressive human government dictates everything in an omega's life - even confining them to government run facilities and playing with the genetics of their children. For this reason, Amelia has been on the run, until she was found and now she is in danger. The Chimeric that she encounters, Vex, is equally as dangerous as the government agents (many of which are feline shifters). However, Vex also seems to be the lesser of two evils.
This is a sexually explicit, fast-paced and action packed story. The first quarter of book features sex scenes of dubious consent. This is a dark monster romance for those feeling a bit dangerous.

Continuation of the Prime Omega verse Saga where every species has its own features and its own great story. This is the Chimeras. Amelia has been caught, again and is being transported to a breeding facility. She has been hiding for 8 years her true identity as an Omega. Unfortunately, she doesn’t carry her suppressants with her and now that they’re wearing off, they have a shot they give her while during transport. It’s not as good as the one she was using, plus, it’s not a great thing to mix with what she was using for so long. Great read, absolutely felt invested in what happens with the two main characters and rooted for them to succeed. The descriptions of the different sceneries was very well done the book was immersive and you felt like you were there with them the whole time. There is a lot of spice and some tw and cw, so pay attention if those things bother you and skip, but if they don’t, enjoy this book! I know I did and can’t wait to read another in this series!.

4.25 stars. This story is primarily female lead, well written, and a dark, fantasy, chimera alpha (Vex)/human omega nurse (Amelia), captor/captive to more, dystopian omegaverse erotic romance. I enjoyed that Vex identified that he felt more than possession towards Amelia first. I enjoyed the way he carefully prepared for her safety as much as possible. I enjoyed Amelia’s resilience and her determination to continue to be independent, even after being claimed. I enjoyed her fighting capacity. I enjoyed the building emotional intimacy wound through the erotic physical intimacy. I enjoyed the resolution, though I admit I’m struggling a little with the ongoing darkness of the world the characters inhabit (not because it’s unreasonable, just personal preference). I’m still reading though, because the author’s writing is good!

I gave this series another try because everyone seems to love it but I ended up DNFing. I liked that he actually gave her a choice so there wasn't that horrible rape vibe the other books had. That aside I could not get over the inconsistencies?!?
First off he knows all about her, that she's a nurse etc. without any lead up to how he would know that. Then she knows his name without being told it. Then we have THE LEG WOUND?? we're told her leg is slashed from over the knee to the shins... so bad she can barely walk and her insides are basically busting outside... except two mins later in his lair she's on her hands and knees presenting for him with no pain or issues??? also .. the smaller second appendage? we're told it's smaller and has a mouth like front.... except when he's taking her from behind it can reach around to reach her clit?? what? then after they do it there's no mention of him taking care of her and then needing to do surgery?? what?
In the world of the world of the Omegas, sought for breeding purposes in order to protect the species as the females of the Prime species are less and less fertile, the author creates a story where the Chimera Lord, Vex, is called upon by his own natural instincts, to seek and find his Omega. Never would he have Imagined finding her in his own den hiding from a captain of the Feline army who's captive transport vehicle has crashed and freed the coveted Omega, while killing his own troops.
Amelia is a nurse specialized in Trauma. She has. Een called to operate on patients when doctors were overwhelmed or simply absent while masking her Omega sent with a powerful suppressant tagging her as a Beta.
Now, following her capture by the Feline captain, she is to be taken to a breeding facility, run by the Council where she will be used by any Alpha, as a human incubator and sex machine.
The accident happens and she now, finds herself in a Chimeric cave. Then, with a roar, the Chimera appears and let's her know that her only solution to survive is to be claimed and mated by him, the mighty Vex.
The author explores the relationship curve of these two beings, one Human and one Chimera in this period where Omegas are sought and captured and where Prime Lords must do everything for their species to survive. A great read that turns into a page turner that I highly recommend and rate with 5 Stars.
Chimera’s Prisoner is the sixth book in the dynamic prime omegaverse and adds yet another darkly entertaining story to this alpha/omega romance series. MFC Amelia Miller has hidden her true omega biology for years by the use of suppressants. When those suppressants fail her she is taken into custody to be transported to a breeding facility. After her transport crashes en route the scent of her oncoming heat brings prime chimera predator MMC Vex to her location, and to his breeding claim. Enjoyed this newest steamy adventure with it’s engaging writing, drama, surprises, suspense, and political intrigue that flowed through an intense, exciting read.

This is book six in the series and focuses on an apex predator who finds an omega whilst flying around his territory. The omega Amelia is a super smart female human medic. Amelia had been successfully hiding in plain sight, but an unplanned scan had the council find out her true omega nature. They were transporting Amelia to a medical center for processing when the weather changed causing an accident. Amelia escaped but was found by the Chimera. This is where the fun begins. There is violence and fighting in the storyline, so mind your triggers. Read On!
“Chimera’s Prisoner” by Allegra Rose -A dark omegaverse romance not for the faint hearted. I received a free copy and am voluntarily sharing my honest thoughts.
Amelia must choose survival with Vex, a lone Prime or death at the hands of her captors. Vex defies the norms—offering choice, teaching strength, and falling hard for his claimed mate.
High-stakes action, emotional heat, and fierce loyalty drive this intense, twisty monster romance.
A rewarding for fans of gritty, dystopian love stories. Be prepared for more stories to come as the fight for survival continues.
This is the sixth book in the Prime Omegaverse series. I devoured the first 5 books and I consumed this book with equal zeal. This story was between a suppressed omega named Amelia and the prime alpha chimera that finds her. Lucky for Amelia, this prime alpha has, hands down, the best organs you can possibly imagine. The storyline is robust and engaging and when you add delicious spices to it, it makes for one addicting book. Very Highly recommended.

his Book 6 in The Prime Omegaverse Book Series has an interesting, short, paranormal, insta-love, Monster romance. It has a well-crafted world, unique characters and interesting interactions. This book is full of action and kept me hooked until the end. Amelia is captured when her space transport crashes and is discovered by Vex while he is patrolling. He knows instantly that she is his mate. This story is quite intense, with several twists that will keep you guessing. This is a fantastic book. Best of all, Vex and Amelia get their happy ending.

This is the sixth story in the "Prime Omegaverse" series. This story is set in the omega world, where the alpha takes what he wants, the omega, no matter what. With that said the reader should know what kind of world this is. This one follows the journey of Amelia and Vex. It is intriguing and interesting with some challenging decisions, ups, downs and suspense along the way. It is a dark story that pushes the limits.
This was intense for me but I did like it. Vex is that over the top dominant alpha. He is a prime and he doesn’t care how he comes across. He has Amelia and will do anything to protect her. Amelia is smart and sassy. She gives me life. She wants to be free but she has this alpha so she has to make that work. It was good.

I feel like it's a serious hit and miss with the series. The first couple books were really good then the next couple bucks were like a repeat of the first book just different characters. Then you got another good book and now it's back to subpar. There were major plot errors that were grammar errors it was just a lot.

Every book has a different species and adds to the world making it come more to life. This one is no exception with a chimera and his omega finding something more than conquest. A great story with a lot of heat.

These books just get better and better as the world is built. I’m ready to see this council taken down. Every book makes me hate the council more and more.
I can’t wait to read the next book and continue this journey.
