When Shavonda Jefferson's husband is murdered by a thug, she never thinks she'll recover from such a loss. She moves the family to New Orleans to give her and her two daughters a fresh start. Once there, both Shavonda and her daughters start getting attention from the local single men at the church. Can they open their hearts up and find true love, or will the scars of the past be too much to overcome? Also check out "Back Together," "Back To Good," "Back To You," and "No Going Back."
This book is a reminder that we all need to wait on God to send us a mate. I loved all the characters in the book, they each had different paths to travel and it all ended in love. I truly felt sorry for Marvin, he was a very good man! I really wanted him & Jasmine to get together. If you're looking for a great read on a rainy day this would be the book.
It took me awhile to get into this book, but once I did it ended quickly. Sometimes it was confusing. I enjoyed that it was about family values and faith based.
Great read I highly recommend. I can relate because I am a mother of 4 daughters and there is rarely a drama free moment. Ms. Washington did a superior job of bringing out the personality of all the individuals. Sorry, I waited so ling to check her out.
