With Akim threatening the Demon World, territory bosses Wolf and Staz must put their heads together with the local authorities to find a way to stop the piecemeal madman. Even working together, they're as short on ideas as they are on time! Akim's minions, cobbled together from the most dangerous bits and pieces of defeated demons, are proving to be more than a match for any who dare stand against them. Saving Fuyumi may have to wait on the backburner for a while--Staz has to save the Demon World first!
Y'know, I'd normally dislike characters like Fuyumi because they don't have a lot of personality or much purpose other than to move a certain plot point along, but I really like her for whatever reason. She's so cute and polite while surrounded by all of these demons, and just goes with the flow. She gets embarrassed and nervous and is easily thrown into danger, but looks out for her friends even though she's weak power-wise. I guess she's just the "normal" person in the group, and it actually works well in her favor in this case.
This time around, we learn a bit more about Akim and his plans for demon world domination, and we also get a training sequence, which is something I'd been expecting earlier. Crazy strong old man training the young heroes and such. We see more development in the characters and their relationships with each other, and a few revelations are starting to come to light.
I just like this series more and more as it goes along. It's predominantly action and humor, but the touching parts, while not occurring often, serve to give the characters depth. It's hard not to like the majority of the cast, both major and minor.
We all really need to be more like Fuyumi and be our cool, calm, and collected selves in the face of so much uncertainty and fear. Props to her for that this entire run! But you had me at evil Elvis singer here LMAO
This wasn't the best volume of the series but it carried the story forward and competently introduced some new characters. The story seems well planned out and the author is not padding it.
Fuyumi and Beru are sisters, also the story about the doppelänger is interesting, I feel bad for Fuyumi's father and finally will see how Staz really cares for Fuyumi, Braz is jerk I hope someone defeat him already.
