I never rooted for a couple harder than I did for Caleb and Serena - okay, maybe that’s not true, but I was swooning over these two!!! I was here for this couple from day 1, when we met them in the first book.
This book started out stronger than I anticipated and then it fell flat for me, I got a little bored at times and Serena‘s internal dialogue became exhausting.
However, I did not go into this book expecting some amazing best story of the year. I knew this is definitely a cheesy book. I mean the title and cover gives that away, but I love a solid book that’s entertaining and doesn’t leave me in a hangover, which has been what I’ve been after lately.
Serena is on administrative leave unpaid - blamed for selling company, secrets, and going to the competitor. She needs the best Lawyer in town and it happens to be Caleb, the man she ghosted six months ago because their connection was just too real and that scared her.
Caleb hasn’t stopped thinking about her and jumps at the chance to help her….the cost of doing business, some good ol’ quality time, his chance to prove how good they could be together, Serena puts up a small fight, but these two find their chemistry is too strong to resist.
We get their love story and we find out who set up Serena, although that was an easy puzzle piece to put together. I mentally called it out from the beginning, no surprise there.
It’s a short, easy, fun…and at times it gets a little repetitive which causes it to be a little boring but if you’re looking for an easy read with some fun characters, this series is just that!

3.75 ⭐️ 3 🌶️ (but lots of scenes)
It was good, the writing was good the story was good but I was a bit bored. Dunno maybe my mood.
Knew who the problem was instantly, very easy to read between the lines which is good if you just need a cruisy read.
I daaaare you not to fall in love with Caleb though. What a teddy bear !!
Serena has just lost her job after being framed, who better to help her than the best lawyer Chicago has that she's been ignoring for 6 months.

He tells her that he can’t help her but that she should contact his brother Caleb to be her lawyer. Serena calls Layla and heads to her penthouse. After Serena tells Layla, Bennett and their friend Audrey everything that happened, Bennett tells her that she needs to call Caleb. Bennett reminds Serena that he trusts Caleb to take care of all of his legal matters. She says no. They all know that Serena ghosted Caleb. Audrey says that he is probably over it by now since that was six months ago. Bennett grunts and says that Caleb is definitely not over it. Bennett texts Caleb because this is business not personal. Caleb says that he will meet with Serena in the morning. The next morning, Serena tells Caleb the whole story and gives him a folder of the so-called evidence against her. Caleb agrees to be Serena’s lawyer.
I felt bad for Serena. Since she was young, she has been told that she had to change to be good enough. I’m glad that Caleb took her case and wants to help her. I wanted them to find who framed Serena. I wanted Caleb and Serena to end up together romantically too.

Serena knows it is hard in the skincare and make up industry that she works in. She and her team just finished everything for a new line, they are about to release, when another company posts it, in its entirety. Her bosses believe that she has released it and she is under a lot of scrutiny and she is freaking out. So she calls on her besties: Audrey & Layla. Layla calls upon her boyfriend’s peeps and Bennett tells her that she should get Caleb Kingsley, a lawyer, that she had flirted with at a gala and then ghosted on the date they were going to have. His brother, David is her company’s in house lawyer. As you read, you just get angrier as someone has betrayed Serena for everything that they had done. Serena doesn’t want to go to Caleb because she is afraid- that he won’t help her, and the fact that there is so much to be resolved between them. The friends group that Serena and Caleb belong to are hilarious. I love them and can’t wait for all of them to have books. I love Serena and Caleb, but there is just something about Logan and his nerd hotness. Plus, the fact that he is totally oblivious to Audrey and the signals she is sending. lol. It’s really bad and hilarious. I’m glad that they will be up next. I laughed a lot during this book. I also cried a bit too. It broke my heart to see how a company that Serena had worked at for five years could do what they did. It was just so wrong.
But, the character that I fell in love with the most- Michaela, who is David’s young daughter and who seems like she is a lawyer prodigy. Every time that little girl is there, I am just grinning and laughing at her antics and her arguments that are pretty well thought out, and semi outrageous. She is going to be a terror. lol. I can’t wait to see her grow up and for David to have a book. Layla is also a bit of a terror too. lol. I feel like I should’ve warned Bennett’s crew to be very afraid of her. lol. Plus, Audrey is no slouch either. Learning about Caleb and Serena’s pasts and what they want out of life was fascinating.

Dial L for Lawyer is brilliant it's the second installment of Megan's Curves & Capital Series.
We get to follow Caleb and Serena (who we meet in Dial B for Billionaire). We've jumped forward a year and we're picking up after a naughty act of ghosting performed by Serena has occurred for the last 6months.
An incident at work puts Serena back into Caleb's orbit and he's the only one who can help. However in the journey to ensure Serena is supported and receives justice he finds himself in a sticky situation.
I was hooked from the first chapter, sucked in so much I didn't want to put it down. I loved how Caleb and Serena were written, how they bounced off one another, while maintaining their own identities.
It was a brilliant read and I loved being back with them.

I am so in love with Serena and Caleb, I wanted there story after reading book one and I have not been disappointed, they are so amazing, to see them 100% themselves with each other (trauma, insecurities, anxiety, worlds exploding...) was so beautiful to read. I loved that Caleb had such patience, that he recognised what Serena needed and didn't need, that he was not opposed to making the most out of a situation, and that he would burn down the whole world just for her.
The journey these two have been on was not an easy one, but seeing them open up, to trust, to be brave and honest, it made their story so much more. Once I started I just had to read right to the end, and then I wanted more as I just love them together.
I love, love, love the people they have surrounded themselves with, they are crazy, unapologetic, loyal, funny, supportive, wonderful and they love with all that they are. I cannot wait for Audrey and Logan's story, that man has a lot of work to do! I am still holding out for something to happened between Jenna and Dominic and hope that this series continues being so, so, so good as I am really enjoying it.

Caleb fell hard for her sassy, hardcore fire and quick wit, he has no clue that his confident strong woman is so broken by how other men have treated her, reacted to her body and a childhood of being bullied by kids and her own mother over her weight.
When she is set up to take the fall at work he offers to take her case for free, well if she will have dinner with him.
Dinner turns into sex with clothing on, this book touches on body image issues, damage from others judging, fears and it's touching and real.
His job is put into jeopardy as well for this violations since he's dating her a client.

I love Megan Wade’s writing style and how it feels like I’m inside a romance movie while reading. This one was a big hit for me and checked all the boxes. Emotional, inspiring, loving and oh so steamy. No one does pinning like Caleb and I adored how he loved her completely. Serena was molded by her trauma and her character arc was fascinating to read. I enjoyed their slow burn and the building of their relationship before the physical. I usually hate when characters talk about past sexual experiences, but the way they were written in this one was very well done and added to the story instead. A bit repetitive at times, but needed I think, and a few editing issues but nothing that took me out of the story. I also LOVE Michaela and really hope David gets his HEA too. No cheating or OM/OW drama, dual POV, kind of second chance/enemies to lovers like, HEA and an adorable epilogue in the future. That was a heart wrenching first look at Logan and Audrey’s story, but I’m so looking forward to them!!

An outstanding read with Serena being framed for selling out the company she worked for by selling their marketing ad to a rival company. She had to hire an attorney, Caleb Kingsley, which she had ghosted on a date six months previously. For his fee, he requested she spend time with him. They had an undeniable chemistry, but Serena refused to acknowledge it due to her poor self-esteem of her body image. This image was brought on by her mother and past men in her life. She was afraid to give Caleb a chance to reject her if he actually saw her body without clothes. Professionally, Serena worked until everything was perfect. Caleb was one of highest earning attorneys in Chicago. I greatly enjoyed the mystery and intrigue of whom framed Serena, along with Caleb and Serena's romance.

I loved this story of BBW Serena & lawyer, Caleb. I enjoyed the opening of the tale where marketing whizz, Serena is framed for selling her beauty company’s secrets to a rival. Caleb is the handsome lawyer with whom she crossed paths months before and ghosted when she became scared of his single-minded pursuit! I loved that Caleb has been captivated with this insecure beauty for eight months and definitely falls first & fast. Serena has no alternative but to go to Caleb for help to restore her good name and get to the bottom of the conspiracy against her, as he is the best man for the job. A really enjoyable read as Caleb fights Serena’s poor body image and pushes his way through her armour to capture her heart whilst clearing her name. Some surprises along the way to the unmasking of her saboteur. Great follow-up to ‘Dial B for Billionaire’.

Dial L for Lawyer is a wonderful read that had me invested from page one. This well-written story was great story telling with likeable, in-depth characters. I loved Serena and Caleb. Some common threads of personalities but also some unique varying qualities that made them a perfect fit. This dynamic couple had a connection from the start filled with sexy & funny bantering. However, past feelings, life experiences, and current circumstances complicated their relationship. Both Serena and Caleb are determined and intelligent and really connected on an emotional level as well as a personal level as they moved forward in their relationship. I also loved this story’s heart, emotion, friendships, and family. Dial L for Lawyer is Book 2 of the Curves & Capital series and worth the read!.

I knew Serena and Caleb's story would be good from the first book in the series. Their back and forth banter was funny to read. The chemistry between them is red hot from beginning to end. Serena is a strong, independent woman who's great at what she does but struggles internally. As a plus sized woman myself, I can completely empathize with her. The self doubt and negative thoughts can very loud at times, but I'm glad that Caleb and her friends were there to constantly combat them for her until she was strong enough to do it for herself. Caleb is my new book boyfriend. He's funny, charming, caring, supportive, and everything Serena needs in her corner. His refusal to let her run again proved to be exactly what she needed. I was entertained from beginning to end. I can't wait for the next book in the serious.

Serena's inner voice is her mother telling her she isn't thin enough for a man to want her standing by his side. When Caleb had made it very clear to her he wanted to date Serena six months ago, she got scared and ghosted him. Now she's being accused of corporate espionage and the best attorney to represent her, Caleb. He just said he wants something in return and it's not money because she couldn't afford the billionaire lawyer.

I absolutely loved this book. Caleb and Serena both had to fight battles together and on their own. Caleb is a hot shot lawyer who has been crushing on Serena since they met.
She stood him up for their date and 6 months have passed. Now Serena is in need of a lawyer and even though she doesn’t want to have Caleb help because she knows he will ask her why she stood him up and she doesn’t know if she’s ready to tell him the truth.
Serena grows a lot during the book. It’s not just a romance novel, it’s a story about self discovery and learning sometimes the things we see about ourselves as ugly aren’t when it’s the right person. They see beauty where we see ugly.
Will Caleb be able to help Serena? Will Serena take the leap with Caleb and trust he may just love her as she is.

I’m totally in love with this series so far!! Caleb had been after Serena for a looong while. She ghosted him and kept on keeping on, until shady stuff happened at work and she needed his services. He didn’t hesitate to step up, make sure she came out on top and made her his in the process. Serena was someone that was used to sacrificing everything for everyone all the time, this was no different. To help save Caleb’s career she put their relationship first.
Great story! I can’t wait for Logan’s story next! 5 stars!

Caleb & Serena's story kicked off strong but eventually lost some steam. Serena’s internal monologue got repetitive at times.
That said, it's a cheesy, fun read. Serena needs a lawyer after being blamed for selling company secrets, and Caleb, the lawyer she ghosted, steps in. Their connection is undeniable, though the mystery of who set her up was pretty predictable.
A quick, entertaining read with fun characters, even if it doesn’t pack the biggest punch plot-wise.

Caleb and Serena's story is book two in the Curves and Capital series, and it's a fun read. She ghosted Caleb months before, but she needed an attorney, and he was the one who could help her, and the more time they spent together, the closer they got. I loved these two and their crazy, fun journey of love. From the fun banter, romance, steam, and likable characters to the happily ever after, this is a great read. Dial L for Lawyer is a wonderful addition to the Curves and Capital series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

Great characters
I found this to be very entertaining. Not only were the main characters likeable and connected well, the friends were very entertaining. The niece was funny without being 7 going on 30 inappropriate. I really don't like that. This is a newer author for me, but I am looking forward to the series.

This was such a great book. Serena was all of us who struggle with body image insecurity. I loved how Caleb was determined to make her see herself they way he did, perfect! They are definitely a power couple!.

I liked the chemistry between Caleb and Serena and I'm glad they got together after she made the mistake of ghosting him. I'm glad they were able to admit they love each other and are together in the end despite problems that came up.

This was an amazing romantic comedy. It was a well written story that had a good flow. The romance was of the slow burn variety which isn’t always my favorite but it really worked for the story. Serena and Caleb had fantastic chemistry and I loved them together.
