One wrong number. One billion-dollar complication.LAYLA I never meant to give him my mother's phone number. But when a jaw-droppingly gorgeous stranger asks for my digits at a street festival, my sweaty fingers transpose the last two numbers. Now he's accidentally texting my recently-separated mom instead of me. My bad. I figure I've blown my chance with Chicago's hottest mystery man. Until I walk into my father's boardroom and discover that same man is Bennett Mercer—billionaire CEO and the corporate raider about to dismantle my family's company. The same man who's looking at me like I deliberately played him. The same man I still can't stop thinking about.
BENNETT I don't get played. I'm the one who makes the rules, closes the deals, and walks away with exactly what I want. So when I text the captivating woman from the festival and end up exchanging messages with someone completely different, I know I've been given a fake number. When that woman turns out to be the daughter of my latest acquisition target, my suspicions are confirmed. What I don't expect is for her fierce defense of her father's legacy to make me question everything I've built. She's a complication I never saw coming. A temptation I can't afford. And possibly the one thing I can't live without.

Don’t judge me okay- the title and cover 🤢 is embarrassing and I would never read in public 😆 thank goodness for an e-reader 😉 another hot mess express I found myself reading and I couldn’t stop. The girl squad is great, the banter is fun, the groveling and spoiling, even better - the dads outburst in the boardroom 😳!!! Even I was shocked! Was this a great written story, no, but it was fun and I enjoy easy reads after a long day of corporate BS myself.
Layla doesn't know anything about Bennet when she first sees him at the festival but she feels an instant connection. He asks for her number but then never comtacts her. When a beautiful woman approaches him at the festival, she's adorably flustered but doesn't seem to know who he is. After getting her number, he can't wait to text her, only to reach a completely different woman. But when she turns up again unexpectedly in the boardroom of a company he's trying to acquire, he's hurt and angry that she gave him the wrong number until he learns it was an honest mistake. Now getting involved with Layla would cause too many complications with the merger, but he can't seem to keep her off his mind. This was a sweet office romance with a man who's controlled in the boardroom, but wild in the bedroom. Despite his wealth, he and Layla have so much in common and are so great together. He's an unexpected golden retriever character and their story was fun to read. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This starts off with a mistake/misunderstanding that equals one fantastic meet cute. I really like both Bennett and Layla and how they navigate their relationship with everything else they are going through in business. I couldn’t put this book down - it had amazing banter, was very steamy, had great romance. It just had everything I was looking for.

Layla Carmichael just became the Chief Operations Officer of Carmichael Innovations. Serena Morgan has been her best friend since they met at Northwestern. Layla has been running the company for the last three months while her father has been tinkering away in the R&D lab. Layla, Serena and their friend Audrey, who works in the lab at the company, are at a street festival. Serena sees a good-looking man staring at Layla. Serena basically dares Layla to go talk to him.
Layla goes up to him and they chat for a few moments. Then a friend of his comes up and tells him that he has to leave to take care of a problem with the Tokyo merger. He thrust his phone at Layla and asks for her number. She thinks she put in the right number but does not put a name. He tries texting the number that night, but it turns out Layla gave him the wrong number. He thinks it was on purpose.
In the meantime, Layla is upset that festival guy never contacted her. It is a month later and all Layla has been doing is work. The company is slowly bleeding money. Her father has called an emergency board meeting. Her father has decided to consider an acquisition offer. The interested company will be arriving any minute to present their pitch. Layla can not believe her father blind sided her about this.
Bennett Mercer is the CEO of Mercer Capital. He walks into the board room with his council, Caleb Kingsley. Both Bennett and Layla are confused at seeing each other. They both feel betrayed by the other. Layla thinks Bennett knew who she was all along. Bennett is still upset because he thinks Layla gave him the wrong number on purpose.
What a mess this was between Bennett and Layla. Good story.

"Dial B for Billionaire" is the first book in the Curves & Capital series. While at a street festival with her friends, Layla sees a hot guy and bravely approaches him to strike up a conversation. However, when it comes time to give him her number, she accidentally provides the wrong one. After calling an unknown number, Bennett is upset, thinking that Layla deliberately gave him the wrong number.
As fate would have it, Bennett is the man who is taking over Layla's father's company, which will lead to the layoff of most employees, including Layla and her father. Despite both trying to deny their attraction to each other, they eventually give in to their feelings, and the workplace gossip surrounding them only adds to the tension. Their chemistry is incredibly intense, making the office dynamic even more complicated. Bennett realizes there is more to life than simply stripping down a company for a merger, and he begins to work on a way to save Layla's father's business.
The characters are well-developed, with the supporting cast adding depth to this intricately crafted world. The witty banter between the characters will have you laughing, and the fast-paced storyline will keep you glued to the pages. With its spicy moments and workplace drama, you'll find yourself reading this book in one sitting. I look forward to the next installment in the series!

Dial B for Billionaire is the first book of the Curves and Capital series.
Layla meets a mysterious man but instead of inputting her number in his phone she swaps the last 2 digits round. Feeling rejected by the beautiful stranger imagine her surprise when he walks into their acquisition meeting and is actually the man buying her fathers company. Bennett reaches out to Layla the evening they meet at the street festival, only the number he's been given isn't Layla's. Feeling led on he's just as surprised as Layla when their eyes meet in the board room. Thinking was a ruse by Layla to get close to him he deep dives into her history and plans on replacing her.
Another chance meeting at a rooftop bar however answers both their questions when it turns out Lalya gave Bennett the wrong number, and she knows he messaged because the number he had was her mother's (I laughed so hard at this).
The chemistry between Layla and Bennett is off the charts, and watching it unfold was great. Seeing the protective side come out of Bennett was a nice character break from his cool and calm boardroom personality. I enjoyed the build up, and the steamy scenes but ultimately I loved how they were as a couple. I also enjoyed the Wright Media Easter egg.
5 star read, great start to the series, and can't wait for more.
Hang on you won’t want to put this one you will be reading it until the last page mad at yourself for staying up to read it to the very last page because that darn Megan Wade gets you every single time! Layla is really a shy girl rarely steps out to do something out of the norm but when she is out with friends, she sees a sexy guy gives him her number but accidently mix up the last two number which to be her mother’s phone number, and it leaves her wondering why he never called her second guessing herself. Bennett sexy as all get out billionaire is a man who rarely hears the word no, wonder who the beautiful girl is that gave him the wrong number a little peeved with her but in town to rip her father’s company apart and sell it of course he didn’t know it was her father’s company but his goal none the less. The magnetic pull is there from the beginning both ignoring it especially with her knowing why he is there but the more they ignore it the stronger it grows everyone around them can feel it until they give in but one misunderstanding bring them closer or tear them apart, will they learn each other a little better, will he continue his goal of demolishing her father’s company, and will there happiness somewhere along the way?
“You’re not a villain.” I prop myself up to look at him. “Complicated? Yes. Frustrating? Absolutely. But not a villain.” ・❥・⋆.ೃ࿔*:・・❥・

I don’t dislike the insta-love trope- I know it’s a heated debate for book lovers- but dear mother earth… you gotta give me some heat/spark/magic to back it up & make me believe it. Unfortunately, I felt nothing magical when these 2 first met. Yes, shortly thereafter it was present & believable. But not at first.
Otherwise I did enjoy this novel. Give me inclusion of any type and m on board. Love a curvy big woman that’s strong and powerful. Layla is a great example. Now our dear MMC Bennett is dreamy and all things that spark a love in the reader’s heart.
Did I love this book? Maybe not “love”. I did enjoy it. There were some really good things scattered throughout. I never felt the tension or excitement that I needed to fall headfirst into the story. Good but not great.
Willing to try another book by the author later on. ・❥・⋆.ೃ࿔*:・・❥・
“Touch me. Like you wanted to last night. Like you’ve been thinking about all day.”
Layla is a shy, brilliant woman who is out with her friends when she sees the most gorgeous stranger at a street festival. Feeling brave she goes up to him and she gives him her number. One problem she transpose the last two numbers. Her mother’s number. The handsome man is Bennett, who is used of getting his own way and is angry/hurt when he believes the gorgeous woman that he met give him the wrong number on purpose. Fate has her plans when Bennett is the man who is taking over Layla’s father’s company to strip it. Oh the fun begins. The attraction is strong and everyone can feel it. With a a spreadsheet going around and the two of them first fighting the feeling. Slowly working together the two give in and become very hot and heavy. I loved how these two are truthful about their feelings but with a misunderstanding that can derail their budding relationship both must learn to listen and but hurts behind them.
The chemistry is off the charts, so is the spice. Brilliant plot and great sub characters. Dare you not to fall in love with them all.

Dial B for Billionaire is Book 1 of the Curves & Capital series. It's a steamy, instalove, OTT, age-gap, opposites-attract, curvy girl gets her billionaire office romance. Layla is a smart and sassy COO for her father's tech company. Bennett is a hunky, slightly grumpy, intense, billionaire businessman all about the bottom line. He and Layla meet at a street festival and their attraction is instant. She gives him her phone number when he has to rush off, not realizing she has transposed 2 digits as her and her mother's numbers are almost identical. Bennett thinks she gave him the wrong number, and Layla thinks he ghosted her. Fast forward weeks later and he is acquiring her father's company and is cold to her, thinking he was played. Wow, I loved this book so much. The chemistry between these two was pure fire. They had communication issues at times and there was some serious angst before we got our HEA, but it was so good. Watching Layla fight for her people and Bennett fighting for her was everything. I can't wait for Serena and Caleb's story next!! Please tell me Audrey and Logan will get a story too! And Dominic and Jenna!! Please!
A wonderfully written story that was so good and engaging it was difficult to put down. Layla first met Bennett at a fair, and she was so nervous when she gave him her number she transposed two of the numbers by accident giving him her mother's phone number. When he tried the number he discovered it was the wrong number. He thought she was playing him. A couple of weeks later, they ended up together in a buy out meeting, where his company was buying her dad's company. Bennett was really mad, because he thought Layla was playing games with him. Layla was furious with her father for not telling her about the buy out. She knew the company was in trouble, but he could have given her a heads up. Now as COO she needed to see how many jobs of their people she would be able to save. Bennett and Layla had an electrifying chemistry. They both thought about the other one continuously. Bennett was hardly able to do his job, he day dreamed so much about Layla.

This was like an insta love and a slow burn at the same time and I loved it! The character development for emotionally stunted corporate shark Bennett was so fascinating to watch. I really enjoyed about much he adjusted not only himself to be a better man, but also how he did business because of Layla. Layla was fearless and fought for those who worked for her as well as her fathers legacy. I loved their banter between themselves and with their friends, and I adored how much he loved and respected her because of her mind as well. Their wrong number/forbidden love story was adorable with so much romance and steam. It was perfect! No cheating or OM/OW drama, birth control but no condom use, dual POV, third act break up for about a week, grand gesture, HEA and an epilogue in the future. Can’t wait to see how Caleb finally gets his girl! Their legal flirting has been so funny already and I can’t wait for more.
This was such a good story. It had the best Main characters in Layla and Bennett. Layla is not one to back down, especially when it involves people she loves or cares about. She understands that business has to be about more than money. It has to be about people... But she is now in the fight of her life because Bennett doesn't see it that way. Bennett hasn't made it as one of the hardest working billionaire's without sacrifices... Mainly his social life and definitely his love life. He's shocked when he sees Layla across a room. But at the end of the night, she accidentally gives him the wrong phone number... She doesn't realize at first and he thinks she didn't really want anything to do with him. Can they both realize that it was an honest mistake? Will they be able to work together? Will the big bad billionaire grovel to get back the one person who has truly seen him for who he is? Will Layla be able to forgive Bennett when secrets come out? 4⭐ 3🌶
Dial B for Billionaire by Megan Wade is a fantastic read. This workplace, wrong number, opposites attract is the perfect billionaire story. It is entertaining from start to finish with its wealth of good writing, wonderful characters and friendships, splashes of humor, and heartfelt emotions. I loved Layla & Bennett from their first meet. Layla is independent, strong, smart, and has a kind heart. Bennett is more gruff, smart, determined, and self-assured… until he meets Layla. They make a dynamic couple that grow as individuals and as a couple as their story and spicy interactions progress. I also love their friendship connections which, I feel, makes the story even more engaging. This is my first time reading from this author and it won’t be my last. Dial B for Billionaire is part of the Curves & Capital series.

They both fall for each other but she is so nervous she mixes up the last two numbers of her phone number so she is hurt he never calls and he does text her, only he realized it's not her at all. He feels played, given the wrong number. Then he shows up in her boardroom as the man buying out her father's company for less than it's worth, saving them from bankruptcy. He's icy cold to her, she's hurt and returns it. They have to spend the next year working together and although they're both hurt and angry they both still have insane chemistry and can't keep their thoughts pure. When they finally give in Boom hot, sexy and he definitely falls harder because she's angry he's trying to dismantle her father's company. She cares about the employees, he's hiding the fact they will cut 90% of her people when she finds out...uh oh. Must read, best friends who are fun additions and have their own chemistry. No cheating, no other person or ex. HEA guaranteed.
Oh my, what a story this was, once I started I just couldn't put it down, and I am so eager to read book 2 now. The dance that Layla and Bennett did was one full of connection, chemistry, passion, wants, desires, secrets, misunderstandings, gossip, family drama, doubts and some really good friends. I really enjoyed the development Bennett's character went through and the support he had during this. I have smiled, chuckled, sighed, cried and gasped reading this, my attention never waived. I hope to see more of these two during this series, to see how things turn out for Serena and Caleb, if anything happens with Audrey and Logan, and also if there is a story to be told between Jenna and Dominic.

Dial B for Billionaire is a sweet and funny romance that’s equal parts adorable and spicy.
I loved the instant chemistry between Layla and Bennett — it had that insta-love energy with just enough depth and tension to keep me invested. The supporting cast (Layla’s best friends Serena and Audrey, and Bennett’s friend Caleb) added warmth and humor throughout.
Their meet-cute at the fair leads to a hilarious misunderstanding when Layla accidentally gives Bennett the wrong phone number, causing miscommunication and mistrust. When fate brings them back together through her father’s company, the sparks reignite — but will they choose professionalism or love?
A charming, feel-good read that’s perfect for romance lovers looking for something light, flirty, and heartwarming.
I received this book from BookSprout in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
This is the story of Bennett and Layla and my first by this author. It was okay, but I DNF at page 358 after their misunderstanding and getting back together. I just didn’t have enough interest to get to the finish line. This book was insta-love after meeting initially at a bar and then later when Bennetts company seeks a takeover of Layla’s father mismanaged company. It seemed just all too familiar and really this plot is overdone imo.
As I said, it was okay. It’s very vanilla, very monotone… not really much happening other than her working for him during his takeover and then later discovering a secret. No banter really, no angst and the writing was awkward in places. Bennett was a little too nice which gave off effeminate feelers to me rather than masculine. It’s not a book I would want to ever read again.
Billionaire romance. Layla is a young woman fighting with her father to help him save the family business. However, she didn't expect the person who wants to buy the company to be the gorgeous stranger she met at a festival. Bennett was born a wealthy businessman who met a beautiful young woman at a festival; unfortunately, the young woman dialed the wrong number and gave him her mother's number. So when he sees her again at the company he wants to buy, he thinks he's seen through her. Will Bennett and Layla have a happy ending, or will their business and their misunderstanding tear them apart…
Layla, a fierce advocate for people over profit, clashes with billionaire Bennett, who prioritizes business success over personal relationships. Sparks fly when they meet, but Layla accidentally gives him the wrong phone number, leading to misunderstandings. Bennett, unused to rejection, believes she’s uninterested, while Layla is unaware of the mistake. As they navigate their differences and secrets unravel, they must decide if they can work together, if Bennett will fight for Layla’s forgiveness, and if she can accept him for who he truly is.

I really enjoyed Layla and Bennett's story. There were parts that dragged on a little for me, but it didn't take away from the plot. I loved Layla. She's strong, independent, fierce, loyal, and so much more. She's the friend you need in your life and the boss you want who has your back. Bennett was good too. I love that he easily fell for Layla. There was no hesitation when it came to his showing feelings for her, although he did have some issues with words and a few actions when it came to work. But he overcame those, and it made him a stronger character. The secondary characters were great as well, especially Serena and Caleb. I can't wait to read their story next.
Bennett and Layla met at a festival, and when he asked for her number, she accidentally gave him her mother's number. Needless to say, Bennett was not happy that he was getting played. When they see each other again, she realizes he's there to take over her father's company, and things take an enemies to lovers turn. This is a wonderful romance filled with misunderstandings, humor, steam, and a great ending. Dial B for Billionaire is book one and a fabulous start to the Curves & Capital series. I loved it and I can't wait to read the next book in the series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
I loved Bennett's and Layla's meet cute where she accidently gives Bennett her mother's phone number. When they finally meet their chemistry is off the pages. But Bennett is taking over Layla's father's company and that will put a huge strain on their relationship. Will they be able to get past this. This is an excellent story, well written, in depth characters that you feel for throughout the book. I loved it.

This is the first book in a new series called Curves & Capital series. A full length novel with humor, romance, and miscommunication. Layla and Bennett meets At a street festival where Layla accidentally switched the last numbers of her phone number giving Bennett her mother's phone number. Bennett thought Layla had given him a fake number. I enjoyed this story and how Layla and Bennett worked through miscommunication and business drama. Bennett 's best friend Caleb was hilarious. Can't wait for his book .
Bennet and Layla meet at a festival and she accidently gives him the wrong number. When they meet again they are both angry and disappointed in each other. This begins a relationship surrounded by stumbling blocks from his taking her company, corporate secrets and difficult family members. They go through some tough issues but can't stay away from each other. It is a great love story that I found myself rooting for them and not wanting to put the book down. I can't wait for the next installment.
Readable rom-com. I really liked this story of corporate raider, Bennett and company COO, Layla. There are amusing sections throughout from their meet-cute (where she accidentally gives him her mother’s phone number) to him falling first, fast and hard! I loved how Bennett is focussed on pursuing sassy Layla, despite her not wanting to give him the time of day as he ‘asset strips’ her father’s company. I really enjoyed how they both can’t fight the chemistry sizzling between them and find things in each other that neither expected. A seriously good read from the first page to their HEA.
This is probably my favorite book by this author. The character development and emotional pull draw you in from the beginning. The book has depth with the right amount of angst and grovelling. Bennett and Layla have instant attraction but there is more going on between them than even they are aware of. Layla is a strong woman with a heart of gold. They have wonderful friends who support and make great side characters. I can't wait for the next book to come out.
This workplace romance had me laughing and all caught up in Bennet and Layla. She has taken over her father's company and Bennet plans on dismantling it after taking over. When they first connect, she gives him the wrong number having him texting the wrong woman and when they meet again that is when the drama begins. Will they finally get their chance to explore their relationship and land on the path to happiness.

Megan Wade kicks off a brand new series, Curves & Capital, with the steamy Dial B for Billionaire. An instant attraction, a miscommunication, an adversarial relationship...oh, Bennett and Layla's journey has it all. Megan Wade can write quick and steamy as well as anyone, but nobody writes the slow-burn spicy journey as well as her! From first page to last, you won't be able to put down this roller coaster of a romance!.
