My rebound after my ex cheated on me with the barista that works at my favorite coffee shop.
I mean, I deserved one night of fun, right?
Only I should have chosen anyone other than Sebastian Jack Heathcliff.
Otherwise known as the King of Trouble.
He’s going to hell fast and trying to take me with him.
You see, he’s my ex's older brother.
My first crush.
My sworn enemy.
The one that told me my ex was cheating.
But it was all a lie.
My ex, who didn’t know he was my ex, who was also never really my boyfriend (long story for a different time) was actually planning a surprise engagement...not for me.
And you wanna know where I was when I found out the truth?
In Sebastian’s bed, right after my second night mistake.
All he could do was laugh.
Then the doorbell rang...and it was my ex and his parents.
All I could think as I hid under Seb’s bed was that my life as sweet innocent Izzie Jenkins was officially over.

Everything started when Katherine and her best friends tried to have a good time in a club where they shouldn't have been present because they were still underage. In that place Katherine had first met charming Jack, with whom she had an instant chemistry, but that spell broke pretty fast when he found out her age. Katherine ended up dating his little brother, Zac, for a while but it wasn't the same thing she felt for his older brother. Unfortunately, when Katherine decided to break up with Zac, Jack was a little too harsh with Katherine and that made her hate both brothers.
After a couple of years from that event, Katherine and her friends ended up pinching their idea to no other than Jack and some of his friends. That didn't land well for Katherine, still being pissed on him. But that closeness will make them play cat and mouse, that loathing towards Jack being still very much present, accompanied by that intense lust for him. How will things work out for them in the end?
I have such mixed up feelings about the whole connection between Katherine and Jack🤔. I liked a lot that tension between them, but what I didn't like that much was the fact that everyone, including Jack, saw Katherine only as a beautiful woman who didn't have that much brain. But Katherine was smart and knew how to improvise when she needed to and I liked that about her. Also, I appreciated how determined she was to accomplish her dreams, being the only way she could help her sisters. Jack was that kind of successful, cocky billionaire who thought that every woman wants him for his money and good looks, but that didn't apply to Katherine. She always confronted him and that was so much fun!
If you're a fan of enemies to lovers, age gap romance, then you should give this book a chance. There were many fun parts, but most of this story was focused on that insane sexual tension between our main characters, which made things get really hot at one point.🔥.
Thank you J.S Cooper for offering me this e-ARC. Glad to be part of your ARC team for this book.

Fast forward years later Jack and Katherine meet again in a situation that pushed her to walk away making her own way but that magnetic pull is something that can’t be ignored and working at his company isn’t helping and ready to laugh because the back and forth between these two is too funny (they say it is a thin line between love and hate these two prove it) but will one of the eventually tip their hand showing how they feel, how they have felt about one another from the moment they met or will they continue to dance around their feeling for one another, and can they find happiness somewhere along their journey?
The Enemy Contract was such a fun, entertaining read that I couldn't put down. I was invested in the storyline and characters alike. The enemies-to-lovers trope, banter, and tension made this a five-star read!
I loved how fierce, loyal, and hardworking Katherine is. She isn't afraid to challenge Jack, which only made their dynamic more fun! Jack is a swoon-worthy billionaire, and while he has some flaws, he still treats Katherine with respect. There is undeniable chemistry and attraction between them.
This is book two in the Billionaire Contract series, and while I feel it could be read as a standalone, it's more fun to start with book one! It's definitely worth the read, especially if you are looking for a quick, fun, and steamy billionaire romance! I am so invested in this series and can't wait to see where book three takes us.
The Enemy Contract is the second book in The Billionaire Contracts series and this is the story of Jack and Katherine. They first meet when Katherine is a sexy and very very forward young, almost eighteen year old along with her two best friends, Willow and Brielle, dressed up and with extremely dodgy fake IDs talk their way into a high profile club. Just after they got in, Katherine is drawn to the dance floor by the sexiest man she is getting hot and heavy on the dance floor with him when their real ages became clear, her sexy banter is immediately gone and he introduces her to his brother, Zac and friends! Katherine and Zac go out together for a short while but he is obsessed with getting her into bed and she is not at all interested, she is just about to breakup with him, when in swoops his jackass brother Jack and convinces him to break up with her gggrrr! Fast forward many years later and Katherine and her two friends are ready to pitch their business plan for their B & B in New York in front of a group of Billionaire investors who are friends of Willow’s husband Sebastian, as Katherine looks around the room just as she gets started she is horrified to see Jack Heathcliff, she stomps out of the meeting vowing Hell No! back to the apartment they all share, telling them who he is and they can’t believe he is the same person! Knowing she can’t let her friends down, the agreement is that the friends don’t have enough business experience, Katherine goes to work in Jack’s marketing department in his company. The interactions that Katherine has with Jack are hilarious, she is such a feisty and loveable character who has fit in so well in the odd ball basement marketing department at Jack’s company. The chemistry between Jack and Katherine is off the charts but Katherine is determined not to fall for Jack even though it seems he has already fallen. I loved watching the relationship develop. I devoured this quick read and I cannot wait to read the next story in the series. I received an advanced reader’s copy of this book via BookFunnel and I am writing this review voluntarily
This age-gap, enemies-to-lovers billionaire rom-com is addictive, sexy fun and a standout Book 2 in the Billionaire Contract series.
Katherine isn’t heartbroken—she’s ambitious, determined, and extremely aware of how badly she wants Jack. The attraction between them started before she ever dated his brother (awkward), sparked by a heated moment neither of them forgot. She’s still miffed that Jack interfered in her relationship… which only makes the tension sharper and the lust louder.
When Katherine realizes Jack is part of the investor group she needs and agrees to work for him to prove she’s serious…things spiral fast. He’s controlling in the office, dominant in every interaction, and she absolutely refuses to make it easy for him. The banter is wildly entertaining . The chemistry is outrageous.
When all that tension finally explodes into a scorching one-night stand fueled by desire and need, it’s meant to be simple. Reader spoiler: it is absolutely not simple.
And just when you think it’s all heat and chaos, the friendships steal the show. Katherine’s ride-or-die best friends are everything, and Jack’s loyalty and deep bond with his friends adds heart, humor, and major bonus points.
Sexy, funny, ridiculously intoxicating !! This series keeps leveling up and this book is impossible to put down😉
J. S. Cooper writes with confidence, wit, and fearless sensuality. The chemistry is intentional, the pacing flawless and the characters leap off the page. She knows exactly how to hook readers and keep them begging for more. A standout romcom voice with serious heat, Jaimie is a one click, add to directly to your TBR favourites.
Their Fated Connection - Katherine was attracted to Jack from the moment they met, but he swiftly dismissed her and subsequently did something that made him her nemesis. However, fate brought Katherine and Jack back together again years later, where she somehow ended up enjoying a truly passionate encounter with him. Even though Katherine vowed to never repeat their steamy time together, Jack wasn’t prepared to let her go, so he did everything possible to spend time with her professionally and personally.
Unfortunately, just as Jack managed to convince Katherine to restart their sexual relationship, her ex-boyfriend decided he wanted to rekindle their relationship. However, Jack wasn’t ready to lose Katherine, so he took steps to ensure there was no chance ever of them getting back together. Jack finally managed to convince Katherine to give them a chance by confessing his true feelings, which she ultimately agreed to, as she had finally acknowledged her feelings for him too.
I devoured this absolutely refreshing, funny and sexy story, that had me totally engrossed from the first page until the end. I loved the way the author started with the characters backstory and then went on to bring them back together in an explosive fashion, where their back and forth continued and made the story really interesting. I can say without a shadow of doubt, that this is a definite must read book, that deserves a place at the top of your TBR list.
I received an advanced review copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is book two in The Billionaire Contracts series and it is Jack and Katherine’s story and omg it is definitely a must read. Jack and Katherine met at a nightclub and there attraction and chemistry was instant but then Jack introduced her to his brother Zac and they ended up going out but then Zac cheated on her which ended that relationship and also made Jack and Katherine enemy’s. Years later and Jack and Katherine meet again in a situation that was not in her favour so she waked away determined to make her own way somehow but the biggest problem was that she was still attracted to him but she will not do anything about it. The attraction and chemistry between Jack and Katherine is still as strong and intense even after so many years and now she is working at Jack’s company which is making it even more difficult as she can’t seem to avoid him no matter how hard she tries and there backwards and forwards banter will make it harder but will they eventually make a move on each other and give into how they feel or will they remain enemy’s and miss out on something so special. I absolutely love this book so much and I couldn’t put it down as it was so addictive and kept my attention throughout. I can’t wait to read the next book in this amazing series.
Jack meets Katherine when they were younger, but much to young for him so she introduces her to his brother Zac.Nothing really happens and they break up after Jack tells Zac that Katherine is a lying. So years later has the girls get really for a presentation to get money to back their plans for a bed and breakfast, she runs into Jack. She still hates him eight years later,of course the girls get turned down for the money, but the investment team come up with a plan, each of girls go with the different investor and gain experience that way and in six months revisit the investment team again.Jack chose Katherine and she still hates him and even more when she finds out that she is placed with a team of the forgotten misfits where their team is in the basement. She makes the most of it and makes fast friends too.The basement team get in hot water with the board and the boss Jack, but instead of getting fired that day changed their lives.Jack and Katherine bitter and get closer,Zac even tries to step back in Katherine 's life but Jack shut it down. This story is weirdly funny and I was even going to give up on it but I'm glad I didnt!Like I said it's weirdly funny but enjoy!
Katherine met Jack at the club when she was there but there is was a big issue keeping them apart from having a night they would remember forever. Fast Forward almost ten years, she goes into a board meeting about getting backing for a bed and breakfast her and her friends want to open and the enemy of the century is around the conference table. Jack is the older brother of her ex boyfriend. Jack has a lot to do with the break up between her and Zac and ever since then she has always thought Jack was enemy number one.
The guys around the table tell the girls they need more experience in their fields and each one take a job with a certain guy. In this story you follow Katherine as she works in the marketing department of Jack’s company reviewing hotels and also helping him by being a fake girlfriend when needed. Their banter throughout this book is the perfect “ I hate you, I want you” vibe and boy, there is nothing hotter. The moments together behind clothes doors will make you hot and ready to mingle. I am literally obsessed with this story and I will scream it from the rooftops that this book is a 2026 must read. Top tier story telling!!
OH IF ENEMIES TO LOVERS IS ONE OF YOUR FAVORITES THEN YOU NEED THIS ONE!!
I'm a sucker for a good enemies-to-lovers with the drama of an ex boyfriend's older brother thrown in the mix as well. The author does a fabulous job of bringing out Katherine & Jack's undeniable chemistry throughout the story.
This was a fun and flirty banter filled read with tons of tension between the main characters. I mean you have Katherine who wants to open a B&B with her best friend's but their hopes are dashed as they pitch their ideas to her friend's husband and a group of his investor friends where she finds herself in front of a man she can't stand and is her number one enemy. Jack is her ex's older brother who ruined her relationship and now her dreams when she has to be forced to work with him to gain more business experience. They have past drama and loads of tension that spills over into something more than either were prepared for. It is a fun and steamy read you can't put down.
I definitely recommend this one for any reader who loves a good banter filled enemies-to-lovers story!!
ARC Review: J.S. Cooper The Enemy Contract (The Billionaire Contracts Series #2) - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ / 🌶
This is the second book in the series, and it follows Katherine and Jake, who we met in the first book. Some of the tropes for this book include:
💓 Billionaire MMC 💓 Age Gap 💓 Enemies to Lovers
I enjoyed reading this book, the banter between Katherine and Jake was instant and I couldn't help laughing at times. The book was a bit rushed at the end because, it was detailed in the beginning, but it was a good read overall though.
Katherine is an ambitious, young and determined person who wants to start a business with her two best friends. Jake is a sexy billionaire, who is attracted to Katherine, but his hesitant to pursue her because, she's 10 years younger than him. The attraction, chemistry and the banter between them developed from when they first saw one another for the first time, when Katherine spots him in a nightclub when she was 18 years old. Years passed and those feelings are still there.
Thank you J.S. Cooper for giving me the opportunity to read this amazing ARC, and to give my honest review, I just loved it.
This is series has automatically became one of my favorite series and gets my attention right away where its hard to put the book down. Katherine and her friends want to have their own Bed and Breakfast but they need the money, in order to get that money to need more experience. Katherine got hired to work for Jack who she had a history with him from the past. She absolutely hates him and she is the one he has always thought about years later. One thing they love to do is flirt but also argue with each other. He falls first which is one thing I love the most. She ends up saving him from that something that could have been a huge mistake. This is book #2 in this series and loved both Jack and Katherine, the history between the two got me hooked right away. It did slow down a little bit in the middle of the book but then picked right back up on the last half of the book. I really am excited what help happens with them in the future books.
The Enemy Contract brings author J.S. Coopers intimate and scintillating romance to life with a story that follows main characters Jack Heathcliff and Katherine Jenkins in a contemporary treatise on relationships that brings out all the emotions and spice resulting from old and new hurts. Katherine wanted Jack way back when she was an eighteen year old to his twenty-seven, and he decided she’d be better off with his younger brother. Years later and their relationship has become one of enemies who may become lovers, but only after those few drinks that lets her guard down. So much water not under the bridge that reignites a fire which never really went out in a passionate, dramatic, sometimes humorous, wonderfully written adventure of the heart where one night becomes two then three then…? Dive in to become immersed in an entertaining and pleasure of a read!
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
What a fun read! This is definitely not your typical billionaire romance. It has all the elements you expect from the trope—and then surprises you with even more. We get the hot, self‑centered billionaire, Alex, and Katherine, the younger woman who’s been harboring a crush on him for years. But Katherine isn’t your standard heroine. She’s hilarious, a total firecracker, someone who speaks her mind, works hard, and stays true to herself.
The entire marketing‑department cast adds a comedic layer we rarely see in romance, and it makes the story even more entertaining. Their dynamic brings so much charm and personality to the book.
My only wish? A little less banter and a little more heat between Alex and Katherine, because when they’re together, they’re absolutely explosive.
If you haven’t read the first book in the series, you can still jump right in without feeling lost—but I highly recommend starting from the beginning to get the full experience.
When Katherine and her friends need investors for the business they are building the last person she expected to see there was Jack, the brother of her ex who she holds responsible for the demise of that relationship. Even though its been a decade the contempt she feels for him is stronger than ever and she now finds herself working for him.
Jack is a successful businessman who had feelings for Katherine years earlier but because of their age gap wasn’t about to act on them. Working with her brings up all the feelings from the past but this time he isn’t about to make the same mistake however that means not only convincing her but dealing with their complicated past.
The interactions between them are humorous as they both know exactly what to say to get a reaction from each other as the more time they spend together the more they might just realize that they make the perfect team both when it comes to business and love.
Will she ever forgive him? This is book 2 in The Billionaire Contracts and features Jack and Katherine. They have history and after their initial electric attraction when they met years ago Katherine despises Jack and his brother Zac. Little did she know that many years later she would be presenting her bed and breakfast pitch with her best friends to would be investors and that Jack would be one of them. Katherine berates him and storms out and later finds herself taking a temporary job with his company to gain experience in the field the girls want to work in. There is plenty of angst, berating and of course, some highly charged sensual moments between the two. I enjoyed the to and fro banter, the storyline and all of the characters and I’m looking forward to Brielle’s story. Ratings 4.5 Stars ⭐️ 2.5 🌶️
This is book two in The Billionaire Contracts series and follows Katherine and Jack who featured in book one, although this book can be read as a standalone. Katherine is horrified that she might have to go into business with longtime enemy Jack who rejected and humiliated her eight years ago. The real problem though is that she fell for him back then, and the feeling is pretty mutual, so when she goes to work for his company to build her marketing skills, the closer proximity brings more temptation. Cue sizzling banter and hot and heavy whispers and late-night phone calls and texts which are definitely not professional and this contract is breached! This is a fun and spicy read with a great supporting cast of warm, eccentric and witty characters.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Jack and Katherine have an undeniable attraction to one another, but their age difference sets them apart. When a series of mishaps happen and Katherine's life takes a turn she doesn't expect, well, what does she do? She gets up, dusts herself off, and takes it by the horns. Though she never realizes it, with her two best friends and herself going to pitch the ultimate sale where Jack is present. Katherine is not at all happy and will tell it like it is. But she won't let her friends down, no matter what. Now, she and Jack work together, and the chemistry is still off the charts. Jack can't help but smirk at Katherine, knowing he's getting under her skin, but can he do more than just get under her skin? Find out how these two go from a hate relationship to love, only to rip each other apart again. Love it.
This was a great second book in the Billionaire Contracts Series. Katherine was a very complex character that I really loved. She was loyal to her best friends and her sisters. I felt bad for her father was a jerk with money and her mother was just as bad for going along with it. As a teen in high school she seemed to sow her wild oats but she was smart and was working hard to make her dreams come true. I had respect for Jack when he first met Katherine and found out her age. Their later interactions became steamy and steamier. Even though he was a billionaire he does quite a few generous things throughout the book. The two of them were perfect for each other and felt that attraction from their first meet. Read this book for lots of fun, friends and sexy times with a HEA. I received a copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
Jack and Katherine have history and after their initial electric attraction when they met years ago Katherine despises Jack and his brother Zac.
Little did Katherine know that many years later she would be presenting her bed and breakfast pitch with her best friends to would-be investors and that Jack would be one of them.
Katherine berates him and storms out and later finds herself taking a temporary job with his company to gain experience in the field the girls want to work in.
There is plenty of angst, berating and of course, some highly charged sensual moments between the two. You won’t be disappointed reading The Enemy Contract because Jaimie has written another deliciously beautiful romance with a sweet HEA.
Terrible storyline! In the beginning, the FMC, Katherine, was 17 and tried to act 27. Jump ahead eight years, and the same FMC was now 25 and acted like she was 14. Katherine constantly “hated” Jack throughout the whole book, which made no sense and she was way over the top with hate and negativity. Jack was nothing but kind, and no human would have ever invested time getting to know, or turned on by, someone who was so negative and immature all the time. Then, Katherine instantly loved Jack. Bam, just like that! Let’s not get started on her co-worker friends. They did absolutely nothing, and they would never be employed in a billionaire-dollar company. Just don’t waste your time on this one. Sheesh, this one could end fast enough.
The MMC is butthole with good intentions and very persistent. He is always calm, cool, and collected in every situation. I admired how much respect he has for the FMC.
The FMC is feisty, independent and knows what she wants. Her end goal is to prove that she can be successful on her own. She is also an amazing and loving sister that aims to ensure that her sisters get the schooling they want, no thanks to their parents.
They both have great character growth throughout the book and the MMC is soft for her.
The spice level is 2.5. There is a lot of tension between the two and the banter between them plays into the build up and makes it steamy, but the scenes were super quick for me.
Fate seems to have brought Katherine back into Jacks orbit 8years after originally meeting in a club. Jack is best friends with Sebastian (The Husband Contact) who is married to Katherine’s best friend Willow. They have a real enemies to lovers vibe, where Katherine, despite crushing hard on Jack, hates him after how he treated her in the past and Jack can’t seem to get her out of his head - man obsessed! Full of flirty banter as we catch up with the hot billionaires of Manhattan!
I voluntarily reviewed a free advance copy of this book provided by the author. The opinions expressed are my own
Jack is the older brother to her boyfriend, a jerk of an older brother. Katherine just wants to move forward with her plans to open and run a B&B with her best friends, but funding is tight so they need to make a presentation to a group of business billionaires….and this is where the story goes sideways for Katherine.
He’s still acting like a jerk…but you’ll find out his reasons for being this way as you read the book. She just wants to get it over with…the contact she signed so she can get her money and move forward with her life..away from Jack.
Angst ✅ Misunderstandings ✅ Family Drama ✅ Corporate Drama ✅ Smexy 🔥🔥 HEA ❤️❤️
This is the second book in the Billionaire Contracts Series but can be read as a standalone. What a cute book and it won't take you long to fall in love with Katherine and Jack. An enemy to lovers, age gap romance with plenty of twists and turns. What about the competition between brothers? What happens when she and her friends need Jack's financial backing? What happens when a one night stand turns into more? Their banter is hilarious and fun. Great characters and story line that will grab your attention right away. Lots of drama and angst but eventually an HEA and no cliffhanger. I read a free arc via the author and voluntarily chose to review it.
Absolutely loved this book. It draws you in from the beginning. This story is about Miss Katherine Jenkins and Mr Jack Heathcliff. They meet when she uses false id to get into a club. She flirts with Jack and Jack sees her fake id and pushes her towards his younger brother Zac. Things go from bad to worse when Jack tells Zac to break up with her. She's furious. Years later Katherine and her friends have a proposal to ask prospective donors. When Katherine and her friends enter the office she looks her nemesis in the eyes and storms out. Great storyline. With Great characters. You will have to read it to find out what happens. Thanks Jaimie xx

Give me a good enemies to lovers story any day of the week. Add in that he's the brother of her ex, and she ends up working for him and things get wildly entertaining. Jack and Katherine have off the charts chemistry that she tries to fight to no avail. Their banter was one of my favorite parts of this story. You'll laugh, swoon, and get hot under the collar at this fun and sexy couple. Their connection started years prior, but comes full circle when they finally give in to the will they or won't they and explore what's brewing between them. I was hooked on Jack & Katherine from start to finish and definitely recommend you meet them for yourself!
The Enemy Contract was terrible; don't waste your time! The FMC, Katherine, was immature and negative throughout the whole book. In the beginning, the FMC was 17 and tried acting 27. Jump ahead eight years, and the FMC is now 25, and she acted like she's 14 for the rest of the book. Jack, the MMC, was nothing but kind and nice. Never would anyone put up with the FMC constant, childish behavior. It just got to be too much; it was literally the whole book. Then, just like that, bam, they're madly in love!! Ridiculous, especially since the reason for her constant hate towards Jack stemmed from her and her lies, eight years earlier. Just terrible storyline. Don't waste your time.
This is Jack and Katherine’s story, Katherine meets Jack in a club and sparks fly until he finds out that she’s underage and introduces her to his brother, they begin dating but Jack gets jealous and breaks them up. Skip forward a few years and their paths cross again and this time she’s fair game and he isn’t taking no for an answer. This is such a good story and I really enjoyed it. I highly recommend you read this book. I was lucky enough to score an ARC and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Jack and Katherine had a lot of tension and banter in this book. I absolutely loved how they riled one another up and fed off of one another for flirty insults.
I enjoyed this book, but it felt like it was missing a lot of chemistry. Sure Jack and Katherine had great banter, but the whole book felt like Jack begging her to notice him and her ignoring him until the last 20%. And even then, she did not admit her feelings until the last chapter.
Wish this one was more of a hit for me. Thank you to J.S. Cooper for the ARC!
