There's not so much violence in this one, but the degradation is worse.
If Noel wasn't getting so much pleasure, I may consider rape.
But the bond between him and the other vampires is getting strong.
He doesn't know what kind of vampire Theoden is, but the connection between them is by blood and cum.
Again, I'm warning, this may have a lot of triggers for some people.

Holy shit this book took a turn from the last episode! This one was hot as hell! It was so interesting seeing how Noel's thoughts when from one end of the spectrum to the other as he accepted his situation (finally). I wanted to yell at the fuck nut and tell him to quit rebelling so he wouldn't get tortured any more!

I am definitely hooked on this deliciously dark little series. There isn’t any fluff here, no romance, though I suppose you never know. Perhaps Theoden will eventually soften a bit towards Noel? If so, it doesn’t seem like it is going to happen any time soon.
Theoden is pretty set in his ways. He seems content with his station in life and with his “relationships.” I mean, what more could he need? His “children” provide everything he could want. Noel is his latest addition, or project, if you will. He is deep into Noel’s training – teaching him his place and what is expected of him.
Noel is still fighting, though his is giving in more and more. He is finally understanding or coming to grips with the fact that the consequences are not worth the fight and things will be over much quicker and with much less pain if he just gives in. He is still having some trouble accepting that he is having to do all of these things with other men, as well as his reactions to the activities. His bond through Theoden and his “brothers” is not helping matters any.
While this was my least favorite of the installments so far, it seems a necessary step in the scheme of things, as Theoden takes his time initiating Noel in how things are going to be. He doesn’t ever rush things, no matter how much begging Noel does. This segment is mostly about teaching Noel oral skills, and all the “brothers” participate, much to Noel’s disgust. Theoden is pretty much covering every base in these trainings, using reminders of what disobeying means to quickly snap Noel into submission.
As with the others, this is a super fast read, and it feels as though once these basic instructions are through, the story will be ready to really take off. Getting there is a really enjoyable ride, even though Noel is paying the price. Again, I can’t wait for the next one.

So awesome seeing these horny bastards in the beginning. Highlights were Bruce's ass, Ryu's sexy ear whispers and that fucker Donovan (who I honestly forgot was such a dick here). Now I was a little taken back at the first reading but after reading the next 13 episodes this really is quite tame. Yes, tame for these bastards for sure. Gawd I love them and knowing how their relationships develop makes this segment all the better.

There is only one lesson that Noel is required to learn and that is obedience. The consequences for disobedience are vast and painful as he has already found out.
This short story revolves entirely around blowjobs and oral sex. Noel must service not only his Master but his ‘brothers’ and he must do it whilst having his own cock caged. At the first sign of rebellion Noel learns about rimming whilst being beaten bloody with a crop. Where Theoden is concerned there is no compromise and any slight to his brothers or infraction of the rules and his behaviour will be dealt with viciously and quickly.
Although not much happens in this installment there is a change in behaviour where Noel is concerned. He is still fighting for his own beliefs but he is always realising that he enjoys a lot of what is asked of him. His will is being bent towards Theoden’s power and orders more easily and he is almost fighting against himself internally. When he learns that he not only needs blood to survive but also semen it both thrills and disgusts him.
The biggest thing to draw me to this series is that I have no idea where it is going and although I have my hopes for the characters I am pretty sure what I would like to happen is not going to! I am now waiting (im) patiently for the next chapter!

This series is dark, cruel, and sizzling hot. I love a great dark read, and Nicholas Bella knows how to deliver that. Throw in the paranormal thrill of vampires, and you have a short story full of sexiness. There is no limit to Theoden's twisted punishments, no line he will not cross to demand obedience. Noel is finally beginning to realize that his life will never be his. The despair and desire are warring within him. The more he demands that he is heterosexual, the harder it is for him to wrap his brain around the fact that the things he is forced to do are turning him on. The lessons he is taught in this book go a long way to help him realize how tied to each other he and his brothers are, along with his Master, Theoden. He is unsettled by how much he enjoys what they are doing to him. But Theoden is a cruel Master, and Noel is not coming away from this night with the satisfaction he desires. I am looking forward to the next installment to see what other cruel lessons he will be taught and to see how long it is before Noel's humanity is left at the wayside. If you like a tale that takes you to that dark place, this may just be the series for you!

You know its something to be said about fighters, its a show of tenacity and valor in fighting for one's own sense of honor. But when is it time to give up the fight and accept that the situation you are in...is just that. I even tried to feel sorry for Noel...then time after time he f'd something up and get punished...severely I might add. His Sire a Master Vampire in his own right, a sadist extraordinaire, a male that revels in the pain he gives. Lessons is just that...Noel being taught what is expected and how he will act.
You'd think after the "punishment" the eve before he'd be more willing to leave his attitude and wants at the "door". '
Lord Teoden wants his boys to meet his new "toy" all seven he calls to him. When Noel refused to show his appreciation for his meal it sets in an event he may think he will hate.
Noel is quick to blame his new response to the erotic stimuli on the fact that he was turned, but is it really because of that? That he finds himself responding to his Lessons? His Sire/Master mentioned to him earlier that pain didn't have to be punishment, the choice was his.
Now I adore Theoden (yeah Im a bit touched maybe. Smiles) Noel I just want him to realize his life is forever changed. Out of all the brothers I can say I like Bruce and maybe Ryu, though Donovan I'd love to stake him in the sun.
This series has caught and intrigued me, each book short sweet and two the point but still manages to give you the personalities of the characters. I can't say its fun, (smirks) but dark and intense. Its not butterflies and rainbows... but if you like dark and Vampires, A sexy god like saddist, grab this read it. Read the others first though... lol .... Enjoy

This book is an OMG you have to keep reading the story /series of Chained on Darkness. Mr Bella knows how to keep your attention and and gives you a real ertic and dark side of our vampires. I must say that each book is a very short read and you are left with wanting more of the story. Now this series is about gay vampires -( hmm never thought of that ) But you are drawn into Noel's life of having been turned into one that he hates.
In Lessons -Noel has a series of hard lessons that he has to learn. We all have lessons that are taught to us by our parent(s). While this is the case of Theodus (his Sire/master/ Lord) Noel doesn't want to learn them and is finding it a very hard time of believing what he has become.
You the reader is left with wanting to know exactly how Noel will respond to his lessons and what his Sire has in store for him next. I found this book very interesting-fantastic-dark- and erotic. One that you can not put down till the very last page. It is a edge of your seat nail biter.

So hot, yet so violent! This series is just wow... It is both horrifying and highly erotic. It's a good thing Noel is a vampire, as there would be no way that he would be able to survive all of the lessons that he is put through throughout the series. This book is so incredibly violent, I wouldn't recommend it for a squeamish reader! I still need to Google his piercings...what I'm picturing just doesn't seem right, lol.
I've said it before, I really don't like serial novels...this would've been much better as a full novel. Sure, it would've been 5 or 600 pages, but still. It's hard enough to wait for the next book in a series, even more so when the author stops an episode in the middle of a scene. This author DOES do that, so I recommend that if you're going to get one, get them all, or at least be prepared to. You're going to want them.
I've been offered the chance to review the first book of the next season. I had to read these before I filled out the form, I definitely want to see where this series goes. However, I'm reluctant, since I know that it's only the one book that's available and it will be torture waiting for the rest of the series... As the title says it's time for Noel to learn some new lessons. He has to have sex with the master and all his other "vampire brothers". Each time he tries to fight Theoden punishes him, and the punishments are severe. He learns that they are a different type of vampire, they not only live off blood but sperm too. He has to learn to accept the fact that not only is he now a vampire but he is a gay vampire and as each day passes he loses more and more of the humanity he's trying so hard to hold on to. This is a really hot and twisted series with some sadistic tones and a lot of M/M sex so definitely not for anyone under 18 or the faint of heart. Diving right into book 4 I've got to know more about this twisted world.

I’m completely hooked now, I can’t stop reading and wondering how much more Noel can fight against the torture and his own building desires. Book 3 is dark erotic m/m that will probably offend or excite readers as Noel discovers that Master Theoden and his “brothers” don’t survive only on blood. They also need to feed on the “ecstasy of climax.”

This is the third book in the series and boy was it hot! This one steps away a little from the darker side that the series began with and ramps up the heat! Noel begins to learn how to please the other vampires of the house and even begins to like it himself. Some very scorching scenes in the book. This series is so addictive you'll be rushing for the next book as soon as you finish the one you're reading. Definitely a fun dark read.

Extremely erotic, the Chained In Darkness series is graphically and impressively written. The books are very aptly named, and each book flows directly into the next, make sure that you read them in order.

Ok I skipped a book, they are short, will get to it at another time. This series reminds me of another that I read before, just a different scenario but hey, I am easy (when it comes to reading smut). I still like it.

Ok so I've quickly learned that this is NOT a romance. At least not yet, but It's dirty as hell and is definitely taking me out of my comfort zone. I'm a mixed bag on what I'm feeling while reading. I need more. Serial stories are the worst thing to ever happen to me. I have no patience for waiting until the end to start, but do wish that I could just kick back and read it as one long story, all in one go. This series is unbelievably bizarre, raunchy and erotic but I find I can't stop reading each and every word!!! This new vampire Noel is totally getting tortured and sexually abused by the head vampire Theoden and his other made vamps in the house and I'm not sure if I should like and respect Theoden or not. There are definitely some parts in here that are not my cup of tea, but regardless, it was still well written and hot. Theoden is certainly fucking Noel up mentally.

Lessons, the third episode in the Chained in Darkness series, picks up where Punishment left off. Our poor "hero" Noel is starting to figure out his place in the House of Theoden, and where he stands with his "brothers". Once again, things get hot and heavy, a bit less twisted this episode, but still no actual sex.
The storyline is still flowing smoothly, and things are still interesting enough to keep the reader turning the pages; if only barely. I found some of the characters to be a bit repetitive of the one before them, almost as though the author has run out of personalities. I personally almost found this episode to be a bit of a bore; and if it wasn't for the fact that there were eight more chances to wow me, I would have probably given up here.
This episode doesn't end with a near as bad cliffhanger pause as the previous two had, which was another disappointment concerning this book.
I'll keep reading simply because I'm curious to know how this all plays out in the end, and I'm hoping episode 4, Submission, is a better read.

This is book 3 in the series. Noel breaks a bit more and accepts his life has changed forever. That does not mean he's happy about it, but he's powerless. He is subjected to humiliating lessons with his "brothers." He serves each one under threat of losing a body part if he fails to comply. For me, it was over the top. But, we're dealing with vampires who need more than blood to survive. This was least favorite book of the series. Way too gratuitous and extreme, I found myself skimming and this is a very short book.

This book was a bit less engaging for me. Noel's training with his brothers felt like it went on for too long. I would have preferred to see a group of more intense sessions with one, or two, others rather than what felt like a single, interminable scene where everyone had to be sated.
