I was given this book to read in turn for an honest review!!!
Morrigan and Cuhullian discover their feelings for each other run deep, the war between Ulster and Connacht is truly testing their relationship. Morrigan has seen how manipulative Queen Meba can be; little did she know the true power that Queen Meba held over people. As Morrigan and Cuhullian fight for their love, the battle will bring heart break and question the past they know.
In a time of war, with a cunning Queen, what lengths are you willing to go to, to fight for the person you love? Can you forgive actions of others and fight to save them?
This debut release from Adana Presley truly blew me away. From the very first chapter she has you captivated. The passion that Morrigan and Cuhullian share is clear from the moment they meet. I love the fight they both have for their beliefs and how open and honest they speak about their feelings. Two scenes had my heart racing; Adana pulls you into the book and has you living the moment right along with them. A story of passion, romance and war you are sent on a rollercoaster ride of emotions!
If you love romances with a dark paranormal twist you are going to love The Morrigan: Raven Heart by Adana Presley.
I honestly didnt know what to expect when i started this book im not normally one to read paranormal romance books. I therefore am very surprised that i couldnt put this book down and enjoyed every page. The storylines are so catching that you find yourself entwined within the pages. There was just the right amount of romance to make this paranormal book an amazing read for me.
the main characters in this book Morrigan and Cuhullian have a passion for each other that breaches the norm and has an intensity that only a demi god and a goddess could possess im sure.
Anyone who likes paranormal romance with love war and true emotions will love this book because the journey is truly amazing. Fantastic debut novel by Adana Presley.
This is a retold Celtic story from the Ulster cycle narrating a love between Cúchulainn, Culann's Hound and Morrígu. Two thing that I would reproach to this book is first the sex scene at the start. I mean she is a queen or a godess of Death as told in this book and he is a hero. It would have been appropriate to have a sex scene a bit more tasteful and a bit less descriptive. I really considered dropping the book in the middle of it. The other sex scenes are at least shorter which is weird seeing that the one on the escape day should have been a lot more significant. The second reproach is that the spelling on the character name tends to varie. Once it's Cuhullian, then suddenly once Cuchulain. And Morrigu is The Morrigan, Morrigan, Morrigu, Morrgui. It didn't confused me but it felt a bit weird. The rest of the story was nicely developed even if a bit short. A better interaction between the characters and a lot more developing details character wise would have been nice.
I loved this book, such a well written story. It may have been a quick read but it has a bit over everything: adventure, mythology, romance and so much more! It took me a second to get used to the names – you won’t find any Tom, Dick or Harry’s here! – but once I did they added to the mythical magic of the story! I didn’t know what to expect with this book, having been told to read it by a friend but I am so glad I did! This was such a refreshing read in today’s book world of bikers, rock stars, CEOs etc. there is none of that here, instead there is war and battles of the heart and mind as well as land! I connect with the characters immediately and found myself really rooting for the Morrigan! A truly fantastic debut from Adana Presley!
I loved this book 5 stars.. And some... What a fantastic albeit quick read, I love mythology and this tale of Morrigan and Cuhullian was a wonderfully written story.. With a mixture of adventure, war, romance and even a little steamy at times. No spoilers just an awesome read.. Can Love overcome death. Or does evil prevail.... I was pulled right into the story and I found it very hard to put this book down.. Well done Ms Presley an awesome Debut novel. Added to my favourites an will be re-Reading this one.. If your a fan of Paranormal romance or mythology give this book a read.. It won't disappoint.
This story of Gods, Goddesses and Demigods shows that everyone is vulnerable to love. The story of Cuhulainn and Morrigan was heart wrenching at times.
The characters were very well written and described. I found myself connecting with them all and could easily relate to the heart ache and joy that they were experiencing.
The story was not predictable and I had a hard time putting it down because I couldn't wait to find out what happened next. The story grabbed my attention from the beginning and held it until the end.
I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys paranormal romance.
I downloaded The Morrigan as a free book from Amazon. I'm not really sure why this was written. Parts made no sense, there was contemporary slang, which felt totally out of place. And I never got caught up in the characters and dialog. Not terrible, but I wasn't captivated by the plot
