Teramo Italy 1993 For generations, the Puglia family's sun-drenched vineyard in the heart of Italy has stood as a testament to passion, tradition, and unbreakable family bonds. However, when the family patriarch, Lorenzo, passes away, the legacy he leaves behind becomes a battleground.
At the heart of the story is Nonna Sarah, a British-born woman and Lorenzo's widow. Now in her nineties, she remains full of grit and grace, determined to keep her husband's dream alive. But with her only son Leonardo, an acclaimed landscape painter who wants nothing to do with the wine business and refuses to step in, the future of the estate rests on the shoulders of two very different grandsons.
Giovanni is loyal and hardworking, and knows the vines like the back of his hand. From a small boy, he learned from his Nonno Lorenzo about the vines and how to make them grow; he is an expert at what he does. Raphael is ambitious and analytical, but he prefers ledgers to soil.
When Lorenzo's will puts them both in charge, long-simmering tensions bubble over into full-blown conflict. As the fate of the vineyard hangs in the balance, so too do their personal lives. Both are pressured to find love and carry on the family name. To do so, they must confront the past, their rivalry, and what it truly means to honour their heritage.;
Set against the rolling hills and rustic charm of northern Italy, Tales of Brush and Vine is a heartwarming saga of family, tradition, and the ties that bind, sometimes too tightly. With romance, humour, and a touch of heartbreak, this sweeping story will leave you craving one more sip.
Hello, everyone, and welcome to my author's profile. I'd like to take a moment to introduce myself to you.
I am the author of a Historical Fiction series titled The Bentley Family Adventures. Included in this series: Where Are You Mary? The Return Of Mary, Simon, Where Are You? The Story Of Ms. Gertie King, Let Me Paint Away Your Scars, The Bent Kings, The Yellow Feather Ranch, The Lives Of My Kin and Lost Forever In Broken Memories.
I have also created a second series in 2024 that includes The Secret Life of Katherine Duckworth and Stepping Forward into the Past. With this new series, I am branching away from historical fiction into a more modern era and challenging myself to tackle tougher subjects. I hope you will give them a read, and please leave a review to give me your feedback.
These novels can be found on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Walmart. I hope you will take the time to read them. I do believe they will take you on an amazing journey through the lives of the Bentley Family and just how each of them deals with extenuating circumstances beyond their control. ABOUT ME: The love of reading and writing has followed me since I was a young girl. Stories of far-off places and characters have always filled my imagination. Now, at this stage of my life, I have found the confidence and the desire to bring those stories to the world. It is my hope that meeting the characters in my books will cause you to grow to love them just as I did while writing about them.
I am a proud mother of three adult children, for whom I write these books. Why? To show them that no matter your age, you should always pursue your dreams and never leave them in the dark.
Most of all, I must say that my stories are 'wholesome' and revolve around the love of family and the dedication we must take to preserve that entity.
Thank you for taking the time to read, and may God bless you all.
Sarah has worked hard to keep her husband's dream a live and the vineyards going. Her two grandsons are at the helm...one who is the office type and one who loves working the land. There is several areas of sadness that will definitely bring tears to your eyes. The overall story was good and I didn't mind the virtual voice. I did enjoy the story and I would recommend listening to the complete series so you will know the background of the families.
