Ivy Jones is the baddest female in Detroit--or at least that's what she thinks. High maintenance and all about a come up, Ivy cares about no one but herself. Only messing with ballers and guys willing to do whatever for her, Ivy is a high class gold digger and figures she can pull any guy she wants...until she meets the infamous Hakeem Miller.
A New York native with a swag to die for, Hakeem is a hustler to the core who stands firmly by the motto M.O.B. The women love him and the men fear him. But all Ivy wants is a little bit of his time...and income, of course. However, what she gains instead may be more than what she bargained for. Playing with fire, someone is bound to get burned. Will love and loyalty prevail in the end? Or will a set of hidden agendas cause heartache and turmoil?
For as long as Miss Candice could remember, writing has been her passion. In the beginning, she wrote poetry. Later on in life, when she was about thirteen years old, she was introduced to fanfiction.
The Coldest Winter Ever was the first urban fiction book she read. It wast then when she took Fanfiction to another level. She perfected her writing skills, and began to write Urban fanfiction. At first, writing was something she did in her spare time. Something that was therapeutic to her. Never in a million years, did she think she would become a published author, although it has always been a dream of hers.
Now, at the age of twenty-eight, she's penned over ten bestselling novels with many more to come.
In addition to writing, She's also CEO and founder of Miss Candice Presents.
I can read this series over and over. It is always my go to series when I can't find anything to read. I love Hakeem and always enjoy reading about him and Ivy. I love that Ivy isn't the average good girl. Love the bond that they build.
This one didn't quite do it for me. I felt no kind of connection to the characters. I love Miss Candice's work and will continue to read her work, but this one was just flat.
Yes 5***** plus more--thank you for this book! Not only was the book very enlightening, but it sparked my curiosity as I read it from the first page to the last page. Um huh, from cover to cover. Miss Candice you are a true writer and storyteller. Seemed as if I came to know Keem and The Hustle Hard crew. Then reading about Ivy, the love she had for her sisters and her family is truly relatable.
I absolutely need part 2 now I hope Miss Candice doesn't draw out the release my only issue is the way part one ended without warning signs don't like that drawn out soap opera ish but other than that this book is a must read
Very good work I would have wanted it to be longer, however,it's still good I've already pre-order part 2...I hope that this couple will still be back as a a strong team and make it through their past mistakes...Avery good read
"If Not for Love" is the first book I've read by author Miss Candice and I was in no way, form, or fashion disappointed! It goes without saying that I love Keem! The entire series is good! Do not delay in reading this! 5 stars!
I loved Ivy & Keem story but everything else was too much for me. I found myself skipping parts. But overall this was a okay read. It had a weird ending though.
I gave this book five stars because it was well deserved. I love Ivy. She is real and doesn't bite her tongue for nobody. I am so looking forward to part two.
Good read couldn't put it down Ivy & Hakeem can't seem to stay together, and when they is they are fighting. But one thing remains they Love each other. Hakeem squad can't be trusted. Need more!!
