Sumanto Aslam ( Bengali: সুমন্ত আসলাম) is a Bangladeshi journalist and novelist. He was the sectional editor of Alpin, the weekly satirical supplement of Prothom Alo and wrote his editorial under the banner "Boundule". Now he is the sectional editor of Pachal.

সুমন্ত আসলাম, আমার অত্যন্ত পছন্দের একজন লেখক। যার প্রতিটা লিখাই আমি খুব মজা করে পড়ি। ভালো লাগে খুব, পড়ে তৃপ্তি পাই।

ঠিক তেমনি এই লিখটাও ব্যতিক্রম নয়, ভালো লেগেছে বইটা।

I didn't read Sumanto Aslam other than his Bounduley series and one or two other novels.But this novel is a different kind of novel.It is a 'Himu' type novel, but it focuses more on hard reality instead of humor. The finishing is touchy indeed.I wouldn't strongly recommend it to all book lovers , but it's a must read one for all 'Himu' lovers. To me, it is more classy but less humorous than any of the 'Himu' books.Overall , it's not a masterpiece , but a good read.
