D.I.R.E. double agent Jaydan Rose is determined to prove himself. Now that he’s made the elite, super agent team, he has one more thing to do – pay back his best friend.
Hellbent on making a name for herself, Hope Powers knows her new software application is exactly what the D.I.R.E. agency needs—if only she can get them to take her seriously. When her software picks up a lead on a missing woman, she and Jaydan reluctantly work together to follow the trail.
The last thing Jaydan wants to do is sleep with his best friend’s sister. However, when danger and close quarters prove too much for their passion, his priorities – and his heart — shift to Hope.
After they uncover scandalous secrets and decades-old peril, Jaydan and Hope realize they’ve stumbled onto something bigger than themselves.
With their lives on the line and a vile maniac closing in, will D.I.R.E.’s strongest man prove too weak to save the woman he loves?
Wow. This didn’t start off as my favorite D.I.R.E. series book, but it quickly turned into my top two. I loved Jayden and grew to love Hope. I won’t give any spoilers, but their relationship has so much more depth as the book progresses that you have to keep reading just to know what’s going to happen next. Yes, Jayden’s super power in the book is strength, but that’s not his innate super power. That is unwavering loyalty and a heart that just cannot be stopped. We caught a glimpse of this in Riordan’s book, but now it’s so evident. And just when you think the twists are over, guess again. The ending has left me with questions that I really don’t want to wait and have answered in the next book.
And there will be a next book. How can there not be a next book after meeting some of the new people here? As you can guess, Mitchell seems to have a way of coming up with people that really mesh well and have a vested interest in each other. Yes, more familial relations will be revealed. No, I will not tell you who they are.
I think my one and only complaint with this book is that I did want to see more of the previous characters. We get only brief interactions with the other operatives, and I would have liked to see more of them. I understand that Jayden and Riordan are the closest to each other, but I wanted to see more than just a brief glimpse of Tristan, Aiden and Dar.
In summary, go out and get this book. You need to read it. I promise that Jayden will grab a piece of your heart and not let go. And you really will not want him to.
I am in awe of Joni Hahn, her D.I.R.E Series just keeps getting better and better. More intense, if possible, more passionate and more just more..
Agent S5: Jaydan is book 5 in this fabulous series. The first three books were something of a trilogy and Ms. Hahn could have left it at that but nope, she has so much more to share with us.
In the D.I.R.E. Agency it's a case of Sci-Fi meets superspy. A James Bond for the nerds.. only these guys are more than just sexy nerds. They are smart, gorgeous and have been physically altered. Jayden has been given Strength (which is why his designation is S)
Hope Powers wants to make a name for herself, which is hard to do when your father is one of the most renown entrepreneurs out there. But she has a brain and a spectacular concept oh and a plan. She wants to work with D.I.R.E., get to know her brother and help save the world. What she doesn't want to do is work with Jaydan Rose, he is just too much for her libido.
Jaydan Rose is the latest enhanced agent for D.I.R.E. and he has something to prove. Way too hard on himself he takes too much responsibility for things that go wrong. But now, he's determined to be the hero. To put his friends and family first. To not fall for the next pretty face and to always be on hand. Of course he's being too hard on himself. But that's guilt for you.
Jaydan is a master juggler.. he needs to be at his brother's wedding, he needs to help rescue a girl who was kidnapped years ago... and now he's agreed to allow Hope Powers to accompany him. What do you want to bet he's gonna drop the balls?
This book was the first of the series to start off slow.. at first I had to think, who are these people. But as the story progressed I realized that they had been minor, very minor, characters in previous books.. And one thing Joni Hahn is spectacular at, is family connections. Connect the dots and you will find an amazing picture!
Another Hit for Ms. Hahn!

This review is based on the ARC of Agent S5: Jaydan, provided by the author for an honest review.
This was such a fun read I loved how Hope and Jaydan buttheads they just can’t seem to be able to get along. When they take a trip together things really get very interesting as they fight each other every step of the way. When he has to get to his brother’s wedding the turnout is amazing.
I thought Fred Filbrich did a wonderful job of narration. The only issue I found was I could hear him swallow. I thought he brought the characters to life giving them wonderful voices with lots of action. His tones where right on the money you were never left guessing as to how the character was feeling. You could hear the pain, smiles and excitement with each one. I heard no background noise and I could not tell if he ever took a break. The volume stayed the same throughout the audio what you hear is a very clean and clear audio. It was even flow throughout the whole narration. His normal voice is very pleasant and very easy to listen to. It was easy to tell if the character was male or female as he changed back and forward, I had no trouble knowing who was talking and what they were feeling. I really enjoyed his narration and do look forward to listening to him some more.
Jaydan has supernatural strength that at times he has trouble handling and does get him into hot water when others get a first hand view of it. But Hope seems to get herself into trouble more times than a cat has lives. Hope is more than a pretty face with lots of money she has special powers of her own
With Hope feeling like she must prove herself and Jaydan trying to keep her out of trouble these two take off on a trip to find one of the agents soon to be sister in law that has been missing for years. Things take a fast turn for the worse as new characters are bought into the story and old ones come back causing trouble. The chemistry between these two are off the chart with makes for some fun listening. So far this story is my favorite out of the series. It is fun, humorous and exciting as these two fight the attraction between them.

Enhancement, agency, secrets, dangers?!
HELL YEAH! THIS IS MY KIND OF BOOK!
This is my first D.I.R.E Agency novel and I’m just sitting here, the wheels whirring in my mind, wondering…WHY IN THE WORLD HAVE I NOT FOUND THIS SERIES SOONER! All this enhancement stuff sounds like the Avengers or Nikita’s Division at work here!
(Probably part of the reason why I was so excited for this book!)
Meet Jaydan Rose, an enemy-agent-turned-good and now a D.I.R.E agent with muscle strength enhancement. He avoid high-maintenance women, trouble and Hope Powers.
Meet Hope Powers, the daughter of one of the richest men in the world, who wants to be taken seriously by others and is willing to go to great lengths to prove she is not an airhead.
I like how stubborn and resilient Hope is, which is also why Jaydan is attracted to her! She is a living spitfire and has a little special power on her own. She’s stubborn and it must have been one hell of a job for Jaydan to keep Hope safe when they went on the mission!
I love the interaction between the characters, especially for Jaydan and Hope! It’s like one moment they are making snide remarks about each other, the next its BAM, extremely hot tension! I would say the tension is flowing, but it feels more like them electrocuting each other with passion!
You know, like…*ELECTRICITY CRACKLING AGGRESSIVELY*
Can I just say that…THIS NOVEL IS FILLED WITH PLOT TWISTS THAT WILL KEEP YOU SQUIRMING, WAILING AND MAKING WHALE NOISES?! One second its happiness, the next sadness and anger and lots of emotions.
Just when you think everything is fine and KABOOM! The author throws a surprise bomb and blinds your emotional mind! Reading this novel has introduce me to the author, Joni Hahn and now, I want to read her D.I.R.E. Agency novels!
(TIME FOR BOOK HUNTING!)
Highly recommended for mature readers and those who would love their characters stubborn and sizzling with hotness!
Action packed with a side of romance, sprinkled with just a dab of drama.
Well I have to say Jaydan has easily slid to the top as my favorite agent of the D.I.R.E series. As man who came into the series as a double agent. I wasn't to sure about him when Jaydan was introduced. I kept thinking to myself 'he's still a bad guy'. Boy was I wrong! I'm so thrilled that I was!
When Jaydan is given a chance to recover his best friends (Riordan) soon to be sister-in-law, Jaydan sees it as a chance to help redeem himself. Keegan, who was kidnapped as a child and never heard from again. Is discovered on a small island in Hawaii. Jaydan doesn't hesitate. His enhancements never fully tested, he plunges in with both feet. Little does he know that Hope Powers, Riordan's new-found sister, has the same idea. Both wanting to make up for the "past" mistakes and lost time. They make it their mission to bring Keegan Meeks back home to her family. Mitchell Jacobs, head of D.I.R.E. approves Jaydan's mission to recover Keegan. Hope sees the opportunity and gives Jaydan an ultimatum, she'll go with or without him. Reluctantly Jaydan agrees to take Hope with him. Flying off to an island, with a firm order to avoid his feelings for the one woman who drives him crazy. (in more ways than one.) Jaydan and Hope are bound by a mission. A mission that brings them closer than they both could ever imagine.
As in all D.I.R.E. books the chemistry between Jaydan and Hope is off the charts. Both are in maddening denial. Turning to the past for every excuse, rhyme, or reason to not pursue one another. As events unfold. Forces beyond their control pull them together. When Jaydan reveals the guilt he's carried all these years. It makes him one pretty awesome, down home super hero, if you ask me. Nothing does it like seeing a strong man with vulnerabilities. :) The razzing between Agents and their significant others is so fun and endearing. Oh, and yes once again some deep dark family secrets rear their ugly heads. But nothing stops this family. D.I.R.E may have brought them all together but the love for each other shines through.
Jaydan Rose continues his avoidance of and love/hate feelings toward Hope Powers' relentless high maintenance woman attentions, Jaydan's determined to prove his loyalty and value to DIRE now that he's been given strength enhancements and joined the team
New to his powers, Jaydan is scheduled for down time when he finds out they may have located Natalie's sister, Keegan, a still missing childhood kidnap victim. Jaydan's anxious to take the case in an effort to make amends with fellow agent Riordan and easily convinces Mitchell the rescue should be his inaugural case.
Powers is trying to tempt Mitchell into merging DIRE with Powers Industries to advance both agencies. Meanwhile Jaydan's tasked Keegan's cse and Hope insists on putting her remote viewing skills and her new DNA toy in the pot as assets for a merger between the companies.
Reluctantly Jaydan and Hope agree to work together on the case and steam from both insta-love and annoyance seep from their every pore. They easily locate Keegan but find more than they were looking for when they stumble into a diabolical plot guaranteed to simultaneously undermine DIRE and have a far reaching impact.
This couple had good chemistry in this fast paced series that usually gives the reader just enough. A bit convenient, familiar and incestuous the way things keep circling back to the agents of D.I.R.E. and its purpose, it's a fun read on the way that could easily become boring due to lack of variety. Rating: 3.5stars
I have read the other books in this series and just loved them. But with this one, I have mixed feelings about it.
I do like the different twists that Ms. Hahn adds to the different abilities of the men in the books. I really haven’t read anything like this in the past, (of course minus her other books) and I love the originality that she has. The missions that she has them on are heart-pumping-edge of my seat-exciting, and I love how they are able to draw that emotion from me. And I really loved the AWESOME twist that she added to the villain in the story.
What I didn’t like about this book? Is how almost predictable it was. Don’t get me wrong, I did love the twist that was added, but besides that, I felt like it was a story line that I had read before.
Overall, I’m really glad that I read this book and I do love this series. I can’t wait for the next book in the series to be released, because I do see myself reading more of it in the future.

Doppelgängers/clones and a mad scientist?! Opposites attract, yada, yada, yada...My favorite redneck is Jayden Rose! Kinda knew from the moment Hope laid eyes on Jayden in Agent M4: Riordan, there was a story coming with these two. A little hanky-panky, a lot of flirting and loads of action and adventure. In quick succession there's a rescue, a wedding and a kidnapping. No time to be bored with this over the top caper. Even the bad guy is out of breath trying to keep up!
What a wonderful book! I honestly wasn't sure what to expect, but instantly fell in love with Jaydan and his bad boy/not caring attitude. He wasn't going to take any attitude from anyone, especially Hope. You can truly feel the love between them as the danger level increases. What an exhilarating read! I cannot wait to read more in this series.
Excellent as always, Hope is a lucky girl. Jaydan and Hope's story is full of mischief, power and love. I love this series, it's well written, exciting, dangerous and sexy. Joni Hhan tells a great story of futuristic super men and the ladies that capture their hearts. Looking forward to Dylan's story
Joni does it again. I swear every book is better than the one before. I won't give any spoilers but you have to read this book! jayden is a cowboy that was a former double agent turned super hero. The action is edge of your seat, the suspense keeps you guessing, and the romance is believable and has depth. One click this now!
DIRE has given Jaydan superhuman strength. But all the strength in the world couldn't prepare him for Hope Powers. Hope has the gift of sight. The visions she's had of Jaydan are smokin'
I love the characters of this book. I felt the 4th book was a little rushed and under developed, but this one is back on track. It's creative, funny, and romantic.
Jayden and Hope mix like oil and water however their sexual tension is off the charts. This was a great story that was full of sexiness, love, angst and plenty of action. I have not read the rest of the books in the series but was not lost with this one. I will definitely be reading all of the D.I.R.E. agents story if they are as great as this one.
