Now that rugged alpha shifter Alex has finally found his mate, Max, there's some things he has to get used to. Max lives in the woods, a far cry from the city life that Alex is used to.
As Alex and Max explore the first days of their mated life together, Alex has to look inside his heart: can he live alone with Max, without a pack? And can Max, always a lone wolf, live life with someone always by his side?
But as the mating urge comes over them again, instinct shows them the way. An alpha's urge to claim his mate is deep-seated, impossible to ignore. All Alex has to do is to let his inner wolf show him the way as Max offers his tough alpha body to him...
This short story contains a pair of alphas mating, claiming, knotting, and letting their instincts sweep them away. For adult readers only!
Not quite as good as the first incident. Max attitude and Jake's take on it, his reaction to being taken like a bitch, I didn't quite understand it. Perhaps it is the way that THEY perceive it that bothers me. The sex was still hot.
This the second of a two-part story--actually one story that flows from one to the other like it just picked up with the next paragraph of the story.
I had a number of problems with this story but they may just be my own tastes. In this part it becomes clear that this is a gay-for-you pairing. Obviously Jake thought that his mate was going to be a female. He accepts a male mate with nary a push-back or expression of surprise. This would have been a prime area to explore and seems unrealistic that he just rolls with it. Maybe this is because he is the top in the relationship. Unfortunately a lot of the story talks about Max being a "bitch": "he wasn't supposed to be a bitch but he became one for me". The way he proceeds with that is offensive to me. He even refers to Max's "pussy". The overtones are very misogynistic and sort of dom/sub both of which really turn me off. It that kind of thing one of your fav scenes then this may be just the romp you are looking for.
