We fight, we lose, everyone dies anyway, I know. However, I don’t see why, if we're going to fight anyway, we shouldn't believe we're going to win.

My thought process before starting this series:

- I do not ship Destiel.
- But it’s Seperis..
- I do not even know the fandom that well..
- But it’s Seperis!

What can I say, it is Seperis, at her very finest..

I am continually amazed at how good this series is and how thoroughly it stands on its own, to the point I often forget it is fanfic. The worldbuilding is amazing and I love how the world of Chitaqua is fleshed out in this book. We get to know all the camp members and they’re so lovable; it instantly makes the stakes the story that much more real. We also learn a lot more about Chitaqua’s founding and history here and how that all plays into the present-day problems Dean and Cas are facing.

This is just really really good, okay? If you like Supernatural, if you like dystopian apocalypse stories, if you like stories of cosmic beings affecting change in mortal planes and how the tiny humans decided to fight back and take control of their own destiny, if you like Henry IV, read this and have fun!

"Did you know you can get used to someone breathing and miss it?"

This second book is much more engaging and convincing. Know it's the third one's turn!

10/2020 - I literally read this series last month and I just had to read it again because it's so well written and also I just missed Dean and Cas (and everyone else) and what they were getting up to. Since I have to wait for book 4 to be finished this was the only way to get my fix.
