Jo… I’m only 25 years old, too young to have already been married and divorced—hard to believe it’s been a year since my piece of shit ex-husband left me, my soul broken, my bank account empty…at least his family’s lawyers let me keep my beat up old Corolla. Just when it seems like my life can’t get any worse, and my heart can’t possibly take another ounce of pain, fate comes crashing down on my head. The last thing I need is to get involved with another dangerous man…
The wrong place at the wrong time is an understatement. I just witnessed two men get shot in the face—for no reason—and I can’t go to the cops because they’re in on it. I’ve never been more scared in my life, I have no money to run away, no family that can help. I’m the sole witness to a double murder, and I’m all alone except for him…
Holt… One of my psycho brothers just executed a member of a rival MC and an innocent shopkeep in plain sight, and didn’t even bother to check the place for witnesses. At least he was smart enough to grab the security tapes, problem is there was a smokin’ hot little thing huddled at the end of the aisle, and I’m sure she saw everything.
This girl may be the most beautiful woman I’ve ever laid eyes on, and her body…fuck me. But there’s one problem, she can bury me and my club, and I can’t let that happen. Women are a dime a dozen, and I’ll never let a good lay get between me and everything that I live for. So I’ll do what I do best—make her beg for it, make her need it…
And then I’ll put a bullet between her eyes.
This contemporary romance novel contains adult themes, violence, and sexual content. Fifth book in the Vegas Titans biker romance series.
Celia Loren is an author of gritty Contemporary Romance. She’s always been an avid reader and growing up she devoured books by the truckload. Now she spends her time working toward finishing her MFA and penning the romance stories she always wanted to read. Excited to be a member of the Hearts Collective Publishing team, she brings her incredible imagination, unparalleled work ethic, and sassy personality into the mix!
Jo is a divorced woman who was left with practically nothing after her cheating EX left her living in poverty and she is desperate to be on her own two feet again. Wrong place, wrong time puts her at the corner store/gas station and she witnesses a double murder, hiding behind some fixtures in the store, praying nobody saw her. Fish, an "out of control" member of Hell Hounds MC had shot them during an altercation because one of them was "insulting their brotherhood" and was in HH territory, and he was sure nobody saw him do it...until video surveillance shows the pretty woman hiding and then it becomes a challenge for Holt, the womanizing sexy but deadly brother in Fish's club to find her, charm her into getting answers and then ultimately getting rid of the witness. Things do not go as planned and of course once these two get together, sparks fly and Jo finally feels like she has met a man she can be with and he is torn between his attraction for her and his duty to his club to wipe her out. Fish getting back into the mix and deciding to take matters into his own hands causes some major violence and Jo is left to fend for herself while realizing the man she has fallen for has been lying to her the whole time. I REALLY loved this book from the Vegas Titans series more than some of the others I have read...it was suspenseful, action-packed, really steamy and romantic and kept me interested until the very end. I love a biker book where a weakened woman becomes strong and an alpha-male biker has to become soft to make things work...and when loyalty is tested and choices are made that will affect outcomes and life or death decisions. A good read for biker/romance/suspenseful book lovers alike!
***** 4.5 ***** "falling for the wrong guy...maybe" stars
Going under cover to sweeten up a girl get her to trust you was all Holts assignment entailed see if she will ever speak about a murder she witnessed that one of the phsycho Brothers from the MC had done.
What Holt had'nt planned on was falling for the balsy little blonde called Jo.
A good read not rude or crude like other MC reads fast paced with elements of danger & drama and a sweetness in its own way.
Jo is a young woman (25) who has lead a sheltered life. Divorced 18 months from her high school sweetheart and only lover, she's existing without really living. She is struggling to work and make enough money to pay her basic living expenses. On a spur of the moment decision she walks to the closest convenience store one night and witnesses a murder. She runs and tries to go on with her life while reliving the horror of the shooting and feeling scared someone will come after her. Holt belongs to the Hells Hounds MC and is delegated as the one to locate Jo, get to know her and kill her if necessary. We see Holt and Jo begin a journey where they get to know each other and we see that Holt, while a hard man, is not totally without feelings. Their relationship grows as does the attraction between them. You can see Holt gradually realize he couldn't hurt Jo for any reason because he's falling in love. Same with Jo. I really enjoyed this book. The author was able to draw me into these characters and really feel them as they journey to their HEA. Yes, I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a good love story with well developed characters, even if you don't read MC romances.

Jo is twenty-five years old, divorced and working as a bartender to get by and as if her life wasn't sh** enough already she then witnesses a double murder and she's nowhere to turn since the police are in on it. Holt is sent to find out what she knows, is she a threat to his club, can she identify the killers, the more Holt gets to know Jo the more he likes her and Jo can't help but be attracted to him as well but can they build a relationship from such a rocky start, after all it's was no accident that Holt was in her bar that night. I really enjoyed this book just wish it had been longer.

Jo is walking around life like it's a dream. Never really living it. Ever since her divorce after finding out the her husband was cheating on her she just can't make herself get back out there. Until the night she witnesses a crime. Wrong place, wrong time. Not knowing who she can trust she tries to just hide in plain sight. When she meets Holt at the bar she works at she realizes that she's tired of living in a haze. And maybe Holt is just the person to help her break out of her shell.
After one of Holt's MC brothers kills two people in a convenience store shooting he is given the task of finding out more about the only witness... Jo. If she's a witness she has to go. She could destroy them all. But as he gets to know more about her the line between taking care of his club and protecting her start to blur.
In the beginning Jo was kind of timid. Just coasting by her life. As the story progresses you see that there is more to her than just a pretty face. I liked that she was sometimes sassy and had some grit to her. Holt was hot! It was interesting to have an alpha male showing such a caring side from almost the very beginning.
There were some grammatical errors that were a little distracting at times. But nothing major.
All in all is was a really good read. I'm hoping to see more about the Hell Hounds MC.
Honestly, I have read all of the books (which are all stand alone's) in the Vegas Titans Series and "Destroying Beauty" is my favorite.
Jo (who is still very young) has had a rough life, her mom is in prison and she received nothing in her divorce from her wealthy, cheating ex-husband husband. She is a bartender who lives a boring life. One night she walks across the street to a gas station for a frozen pizza. While she is there, a fight breaks out between 2 guys (from different MC's) which leads to a dead MC guy and a dead gas station attendant. Jo didn't really see the men involved but she did hear a unique clicking sound that came from the one who survived.
Holt (WOW) - is a hot, alpha MC brother who is suppose to get close to Jo and do WHATEVER it takes to see what she actually witnessed during the gas station shooting. In order to gain her trust, he gets close to her - very close to her!
Will Jo have to die because she knows too much? Will she have an HEA ??

Jo is just going through the motions of life in a dead end job with a crappy boss. She might have friends but getting out there and having fun just isn't high on her list of things to do these days. When Holt walks into her work, she knows he doesn't belong there but there's something about him that has her wanting to know this man. Holt was expecting a pretty girl from her picture, but he wasn't expecting what he found - a drop dead gorgeous girl with a way about her that has him in knots. Holt has never felt this way about a woman and as thing progress between them he knows he needs to start telling her things. Unfortunately, some outside sources beat him to the punch each and every time. Things get dangerous for Jo and even know she is running from Holt he is trying to keep her safe. Everything comes to a head, and Jo now knows that Holt wasn't lying about his feelings for her. She's still unsure of Holt, and he has a lot to prove, if she can just let him back in. Hot, juicy, steamy sex scenes. Fantastic ending.
Great MC story! Captivating from the beginning. Jo just happened to be at the right place...wrong time to see something bad. She's on their radar now and doesn't have a clue one of their guys is her new lover. Holt is out to find the truth, but he's not so honest about who he is. The chemistry and sparks are there between Jo and Holt...will it last? These two try to fight being drawn to each other because they think it will protect the other. There is lots of suspense and hidden secrets. The writing...captivating, riveting, suspenseful, outstanding, and hot! The scenes are steamy, lustful, raw, deep, hard, and hot!! The chemistry is WOW! I love this book. Celia Loren always delivers an MC perfection!! 5 ☆☆☆☆☆. Yummy and Hot!!! These Hearts Collective ladies are amazing and fantastic!!! Thank you and I can't wait for more!!!
Jo and Holt meet after she is a witness to a double homicide committed by one of his Hell Hounds' brothers. Jo really could not identify the murderer but Holt is sent to see what she knows and if she is going to go to the police. Jo does not suspect anything when Holt shows up at her work and asks her out. After a few dates, they both start having feelings for each other, however, Holt does not fess up to belonging to a club or why he befriended her. As usual, when it all blows up, Jo is left trying to come to grips with the deception of Holt and the club. It was well paced and the plot was interesting enough to keep me reading when I should have been doing a few other things. Well done and would recommend it. Not over the top in its violence or steamy scenes which is a nice bonus with MC books.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Holt is in the Hell Hounds MC and is dedicated to his club. Then his path is forced to cross with Jo Anderson , a pretty blonde who witnessed an MC brother commit murder. They develop feelings for each other that are outside the bounds of the task Holt was set. The synopsis caught my attention and I was not disappointed. Jo was an interesting heroine and a well written character that was instantly likeable. Holt was gorgeous- alpha, protective (ironic , all things considered) , he adored Jo and that shone through. I really felt for him when she discovered the truth-best scene in the book for me. Lead female- 5 * Lead Male. - 5* Story/ plot - 5* Heat Factor -4.5* Editing- 4 stars Overall- Really good read but would have liked a bit more. Would I recommend? Definitely Cliffhanger? No Ending? Gorgeous.
First off I had the option to get a free review copy but declined after reading the synopsis. I know stupid huh? After reading the synopsis I had to have the book and knew this was right up my alley. Well the story definitely did not disappoint. I love MC stories. Especially when the mix is just right. You know with club life, drama, killings, love... You get the idea. Jo is the sole witness to a double murder. The shooter belongs to the Hells Hounds MC and now he and the club want to know what Jo knows. Can she ID the shooter? Can she not? Holt is the lucky MC to be assigned to Jo and find out what she knows. Now the tricky part... Can Holt not get attached to Jo and Jo not get attached to Holt. Especially since Holt ultimately has to decide if she is a liability to the club. Which means depending on what she knows could be the difference of life or death for Jo.
Destroying Beauty has all the ingredients required for a really good MC story & Celia Loren does not disappoint. Holt, a hot Alpha landscape gardener & respected MC member & Jo, a local, innocent, barmaid, ignorant of MC life, fall for each other when Holt has to get to know her for his club. They quickly form a relationship - something neither has much experience with, until events get out of hand. At this point you might think "So... What's new?" The characters are alive in this story & their reactions to changing circumstances aren't typical. They actually think about what they're doing & minor characters serve to enhance the main story rather than take the reader off on a tangent. This was my first Vegas Titans book. It definitely won't be the last. This was an ARC provided for an honest review.

The book started out with so much action and excitement at first I was shocked then I was so enthralled by the story I couldn't put it down. When Jo witnesses the crime, she is so scared and didn't know what to do. I felt like given the situation she sis the right thing. When we learn the MC is involved in a way and Holt has to get info from Jo I knew things were going to get crazy!
First of all I have to say I am so addicted to MC books, I just love reading about the lifestyle. This book was almost calm feom half the books I've read on it lol. I loved it though, all the characters are awesome. ..even the bad guy lol. I love the names so of the guys have so inventive on the authors part. I will be reading more by this author soon I'm sure. I'm rating this in at four hearts!
It was one of those things that start out with the Alpha Hero going in "undercover" to find out if the heroine knows anything that can hurt him kind of things that turn into something a WHOLE lot more. Best part? You know it's totally going to backfire.
Loved it! Very exciting, suspenseful, fun and SEXY! I loved it and can't wait for more in this series.
My only complaint - if you can call it that - is that this author (who's obviously awesome) has SO many series out right now that it's hard to keep up with what story is where and when and with who - and what's that club's name with that guy and that girl....yeah, you get where I'm going.
So with that said, you don't have to read anything before this one to get THIS one :)
Destroying beauty is another excellent MC book. I waited a long time to purchase this book and it was worth of wait. The story was unpredictable interesting until the end. Jo just doesn't have luck in her young life. And when she is able to hide in the moment of the murder she thought that she can go one without anyone knowing. But the murderer MC knows and Holt get the assignment to find out what all Jo knows. The job becomes something deeper for Holt. And wild sex leads to something he has never felt before. But there are so many lies and what will happen when Jo finds out? Both characters likable and I fell in love with Holt. Jo was strong women although of her tough life. Great MC read with HE.
This is one of those stories that will have you glued to each page until the end. It has intrigue and suspense. When Jo is a witness to a murder, all she wants to do is forget. Besides she didn't see the shooter. When Holt shows up at her job, he is drawn to her. He only wants to protect her. But when the killer comes after her, she only wants Holt. Can she forgive Holt's lie about who he really is? Will Holt be able to leave her if he feels that is what is best for her? I loved this one and can't wait for more. **Copy provided by the publisher in exchange for my honest review**
This is a good read in some ways. Made me think, which is a great thing; however, the author needs to spend time developing the story. Characters felt real but not fully developed and the author's choppy style really pointed to the missing information. Needs some GOOD editing, not just beta readers. Author needs to learn from her previous reviews. I like the author, because she has great potential, but her learning curve seems slow. Perhaps she is dishing the meal, before it is ready to be served. Presentation is everything to keep your audience coming back for more.
A good read that entertained and was interesting about a M.C. member and a naïve women struggling from her divorce. The heroine on a late night visit to a nearby garage witnesses a fatal altercation. Hiding in the aisle behind a display she is concealed from the perpetrator and rushes home when he leaves the crime scene. Unbeknownst to her she is now on the M.C. radar and deemed a threat. What ensues afterwards is a good story of finding what you wish for in an unusual way. The drama unfolds and entertains with a happy ending but not before a lot of heartache in between. I will look for more books about this club.
Jo is just trying to get through each day. She ends up in the wrong place at the wrong time when she witnesses the murder of two men by someone from the Hell Hounds MC. Holt is part of the Hell Hounds MC and is sent to see if Jo can identify the killer or has spoken to the police. What he doesn't expect is the spit fire that he ends up falling for.
This is a is not only a steamy romance but also a book where two people discover what they truly want and deserve in life. It also contains action, suspense, and angst.
Can Jo and Holt make it work? Will they get an HEA? Pick up this book and see.

GREAT BOOK! I like the way this story started. I had completely forgotten about it until the end! I was so scared that Holt was going to die. I did not like that Fish guy one bit. Holt was right. That guy was more a liability than an asset to the club. He could have brought them all down because of his ignorant temper in the gas station murder. This was a great story that just drags you along with the action. I can’t wait to delve into the next installment! Well written. There are a couple typos but they don’t kill the flow of the story like it does in some books. Excellent wording. This is my first book from this author and I’m thrilled to read more of her stuff!

Jo witnesses a crime committed by a member of the Hell Hounds MC. Since she didn't report it to the police, the MC needed to find out if she was going to be a liability. The MC's resident heartthrob, Holt, is assigned the task of getting friendly with Jo. Things heat up between them quickly, becoming a relationship the MC is not happy about. Jo doesn't learn about Holt's original intention until after an altercation at the clubhouse. The member with the most to lose decides to take matters into his own hands...
I received this book in exchange for an honest review. I love MC books. It's pretty much all I read. When I read the synopsis for Destroying Beauty, I knew I wanted to read it. Murder, bikers, sex, a HOT book cover...I'm there!! I liked the story. The sex scenes were smokin'! What I had a problem with (hence the 4-star rating) was the end of the book. It seemed to end abruptly and I was left with questions. This was my first Celia Loren book and I will definitely be checking out the others!
This was a relatively quick read (one afternoon for me). It is the first biker book I have read since reading the series by Madeline Sheehan. Her books were a five star read for me because the stories were so full of angsty characters. This book by Loren was not nearly as emotionally engaging for me. The characters were ok and the storyline was good but I just didn't get into it as much as I have done with a biker book before. A decent, quick read.
Innocent girl and bad-boy biker get thrown together due to crazy circumstances type of book. I read this one rather quickly, and I thought it was pretty good. Characters seemed to be well thought out. Writing style was slightly "choppy" but not too much. Time line moved well. Sex scenes were spicy, but not overdone. I also really like the chemistry and the buildup to the relationship--I could see this couple together. I will probably read more from this author.
One of the things I realized I really liked about this book is the heroine has never had anything to do with a MC before she meets the hero. The contrast of their worlds helps to make the conflict/drama more interesting. Jo was a great heroine with just the right amount of self-preservation and vulnerability. Holt was... Holt. Sigh. the book had great character development, perfect pacing of the overall story, and a suspenseful what will happen element to keep me on the edge of my seat.
