A special thank you to Lake Union Publishing and NetGalley for providing an ARC and the introduction to this outstanding series, in exchange for an honest review.

A Must Read Series! It is rare to discover a series with each book as dynamic as the previous one, and all 5 Stars+. David Johnson speaks from the heart and has created a suspenseful, compelling, and inspiring series, with flawed and beautiful characters which come alive; detailed and highly visual.

As we pick up from the previous book, March is still working on coming to terms with his dark past, his blindness, and the psychological damage of his life on the run in Vegas. Debbie, his finance also has a disability; however, she is always there to provide support and love (these two make a great pair)—each with their own insecurities.

April is now in college and takes on a part time job, caring for a family as a nanny, her former counselor at Spirit Lake, James with his twin sons, and a wife dying of cancer. April, looking for a father figure, is falling for her new boss, which leads to her infatuation which is one sided. Plus readers learn the identity of March’s real father and what a connection of the past.

In the meantime, one night turns into a nightmare for the Tucker family, when a past comes calling to collect for March, which will ultimately affect Tucker, Smiley, April, and March for some twists and turns which will keep you on the edge of your seat, with lots of humor to keep you laughing.

Smiley gets caught in the crossfire, Tucker is taken hostage, and her past comes back to haunt her, April makes wrong choices, and March has to face his demons once again head on, for some sizzling family drama.

Has Tucker met her match and can she escape this mad man? Will Debbie and March find their happily ever after? Will the preacher help Tucker, March, Smiley and April? A possible future connection with the preacher and April? Will Smiley and Tucker remain living together? Since we do not hear much from August, will we learn what he has been up to in the next book (possibly an exciting new legal career and some intriguing cases, and since this is such a diverse group, possibly gay)? Cannot wait, as sure there are more surprises coming from this eclectic southern family.

MARCH ON, Book Four, is the most suspenseful and fast-paced, thus far; a page-turner, with a cross over to crime-psychological thriller, for a roller coaster ride of emotions and intensity.

Last but not least, I enjoyed the author’s special dedication of MARCH ON, to violent trauma victims and with his message for hope:

“What happened to you does not define you. You are much more than that. If you are reading this, you are indeed a survivor. Never give up your journey of recovering your life. Healing will come. Allow your fear to give way to trust, your doubt to faith and your resentment to forgiveness.”

The Tucker Series would make for an ideal book club choice, as so many what ifs; fun exploring possibilities, for engaging group discussions. Publishers: Please get this series in audiobook format with a true southern narrator, as would love to listen again even after reading, as would be dynamite!

Looking forward to his next in the series, #5 coming 2015, "Who Will Hear Me When I Cry."

I really enjoyed this series

I loved the Tucker character. She is a put them in their place with a heart of gold type of person. Tucker has had a tough life and is now raising her grandchildren after their mother dumps them there. It follows the grandchildren through early adulthood. I really enjoyed the whole family, blood kin or people they choose. I would recommend this series. There are some pretty awful things that happen to the characters, but these things happen in real life.

Once again, this series continues to amaze me in that every book is better than the last! We get to learn more about March, and the time he spent away from the family. This book has much more action and we find that the characters are even more intertwined than first known. Can’t wait to read the last one in the series!

A lot happens in this book. March has had a very interesting life, met a lot of different kinds of people, yet manages to get past the bad and dwell on the good. Now on to Book #5.

Tucker and her family find more trouble.

I only gave this four stars because there was just too many bad things happening. I still enjoyed it, but it didn't feel quite as balanced, good verses evil, as the first four original books. I couldn't tell how old April is in this book, but her behavior seems to portray the emotional maturity of a high school girl instead of a young woman who has already endured and overcome many difficulties in her life. August and March seem to be coping much better with their troubled lives.

I enjoyed what happened at the end, but it needed more of Tucker's personality in it and less written music. During the end, preacher's personality seemed a bit dull to me. However, I would still recommend this book and definitely the series.

Worst book I've read in a long time. The characters weren't believable. The plot wasn't believable. Couldn't wait for this one to be over. Sad,too, because the first book in the series was so good.

This final book about Tucker and her family is a perfect finish. It’s been a while since I have purchased and read every book in a series one after the other. I just couldn’t waste time reading any other book while there was another “Tucker” book waiting to be read. It was like wanting to finish one really great book without a break. Strong characters, wonderful story, and life lessons, come together to create suspense, enjoy true love, and show us the way. I like that God is a main character. We can experience a faith-filled life along with the characters without preachy “religion” being force fed. A wonderful, wonderful series to warm the heart and fill the soul. Loved every book in the series. For me, it also took me back to my roots. I highly recommend this whole series.

I have read all of the series without stopping!

Where have I been to have missed this inspiring author? This author has a gift with words that makes you use all of your senses as he describes every detail. I fell in awe with his main character, Tucker. The Tucker series is so endowed with real life situations good fighting evil; overcoming obstacles in life that are meant to defeat us. Biblical quotes that reinforce strength. Thank you for this series Mr. Johnson. I highly recommend this series. Then compare your owe life and perhaps you can be thankful for your small blessings. Mr. Jordon hits just about every aspect of life situations.

I started reading this book, the fourth in the Tucker series, and quickly realized that it’s purpose was to be sensational rather than to tell a story with depth and characterization. It appears to have some of the same problems as the third in the series, April's Rain. The first two books in the Tucker series are warm stories highlighting the pleasures of family, hope and faith. So, I chose to close this book and spend my time reading a worthwhile book.

Best Tucker to date

In the fourth installment of the Tucker series David Johnson weaves a story that only his masterly created characters could live. The story starts slow and seemingly too happily, but with the introduction of a character from March's past the story gains speed and excitement, becoming impossible to put down. Johnson refuses to take the easy path and spins a tale with a few unexpected turns and enough complexity to make even far-fetched coincidences seem believable. His best work so far.

March’s Triumph

I enjoyed seeing light triumph over darkness but the dark portions of this story were almost overwhelming at times. The description of the characters made them come alive.

It was unique when I realized that I had gone to college and sang in a chorus with author. Thank you David for an interesting series. You made the areas of West TN come alive that my grandfather grew up in and of East TN where I have lived for over 40 years. I also had an English class under Dr. Porter King and I am sure he has appreciated your literary efforts.

I bought all 5 books at the same time. I have enjoyed them all but find they are getting more and more unbelievable because of all the coincidences. Also each book is preachier than the last.

An awesome series!

Tucker’s 4 book series was absolutely amazing! Though some content was difficult to hear or fathom I know it happens in the real world. I am an educator in a small rural town with many hollers and I often say that we have children at our school that have been through more in the short years than I have in my 50+ years. I appreciate that the author included a testimony for each character and that no matter the sin the Lord forgives us. I am a fan!

March On

Your stories about the Tucker family are wonderful reads for me. I'm looking forward to reading the 5th in this series. The characters are great and I feel their emotions as I'm reading just as though I were right there with them. Like a southern backwoods family would really be like.

Fascinating and Captivating!

I chose this as a five star story. I couldn't put it down until I finished it. There wasn't one thing I didn't dislike about the book. I liked the book for its sense of adventure and smooth transition from the last book in the series. The characters seemed like people you might meet anywhere in the south.

Yet Another Great Story!

I really enjoyed this story of March, Debbie and The Tucker Family. Your connections to people in your life can turn out to be Angels or demons that has an affect on you. But how you handle those connections can decide your future. March overcame the demons and lived as a Protector and keeper of his Family.

Characters are very well developed

I am really enjoying the Tucker series. The p!ot is well developed and I enjoy the faith based writing. Some passages are a little unrealistically written in their simplicity and happy endings but then again who needs more reality? All in all I really loved these books and would recut anyone!

Really enjoying the Tucker Series!

The Tucker books are one of the best series I have read in a long time. It has to be new and interesting for me to stick with a series. When a story starts becoming predictable, it loses my interest. That being said, the Tucker Series keep me interested, involved, and inspired!

{Tucker Series book #4}
Probably my favorite of this series, yet. 🥰 I don’t want to share too much in case you want to read the series but I love learning more about the Tucker family and seeing them turn to the Lord over and over in the midst of struggles. I also really enjoy how the author returns to the theme of a forgiving God.

Loved it

Wow! March found his mate and was able to put the past behind him. It did catch up when Red came looking for him and shot Smiley, then kidnapped Tucker. April made it through a horrible event. Preacher stepped up and helped March rescue Tucker from his evil brother. March and Debbie got married!!! Sad that there is only 1 book left!!

If you've read the previous books in the Tucker's Way series, you'll need/want to read this one as well. However, the story became a bit more tedious and holier than thou than prior books in the series.

A great ending to an outstanding Series.

I loved this whole series! The characters were so real, I felt like I knew each of them intimately. Sometimes the speech of some of the characters seemed a bit stiff, but the storyline and descriptions more than compensated for it.
