Welcome to Gravity Hills, where love is the main attraction. Here is where black love is the standard, and all hearts beat unruly. Of course the nature of love doesn’t come so easy.
Here, we meet Reign Harrison, the beautiful divorce attorney who has the courts on lock. She’s the best in her field, but with being the best comes assumptions. She can’t be for love if she ends relationships for the right price. For Reign, that assumption is furthest from the truth. She’s a lover girl at heart who hasn’t found the one, but that’s all about to change, because there’s a guy… or maybe two… who want to win her heart.
Chasing Reign is the game, and may the better prospect win!
The story was the first that I've read by this author, I think she is new... Oh baby, any way, I enjoyed this story completely. I have never been happier than to see the MMCs dad get humbled. Sharif was a lawyer who gave up his career to make his own choices. When he met Reign, she was a lawyer at his father's firm. No spoilers, but the storyline takes us through it and back again. You will like the ending.
A love story to chase, Ahmad and Reign gave me all the feels. After a amazing conversation Ahmad just knew he needed Reign, applying the perfect amount of pressure. I truly Love when a man goes hard for the women he believes in and shows her support in multiple ways.
This was my first read by the author and I loved this story. Sharif applied pressure and was so confident in himself and that he and Reign should be together that he didn't care that she was dating someone else, he just knew she would choose to be with him in the end and I loved that. I loved the way they could just sit and talk about any and everything. The vibe between Sharif and Reign was just easy and organic. He encouraged her and she was able to live her lover girl life the way she wanted. The way his father tried to cause strain between them was just as diabolical as him trying to control Sharif and make him come back to the firm. I love that Sharif stood ten toes down about his decision not to return to working for his father and allow him to control his life. I also loved that he stood up for not just himself but also Reign. This book is a definite must read if you love easy and uncomplicated main characters who just want to be loved and give love in return.
This book is the introduction to the authors work for me and while I really liked the FMC and MMC, their dialog and ultimately their chemistry together, the storyline of the FMC juggling men wasn't a favorite for me. Understanding that just because that wasn't something that I liked however, didn't take away from the writer's craft. Sharif and Reign's characters were detailed- giving us readers a well rounded view of who they were and what brought them to where they were when we met them. The overall story had a little bit of everything to hold my interest from beginning to end and I enjoyed the sum total of it and would definitely check out more of this authors work in the future.
I just loved this debut book from Truly Cerys. When Sharif and Reign met, they were both intrigued with each other. From that moment on, Sharif applied pressure on Reign because he knew who he wanted. Reign was still looking at her possibilities, but eventually, she ended up knowing who was the right person for her. Reign's ex, Jamie, and Sharif's father both got on my nerves sooooo bad. Both of them needed to come into the 21st century. 🙄 With the both of these men plotting, Sharif's loyalty to Reign was something she needed and deserved. The author did a wonderful job with this book, and I can't wait to visit Gravity Hills again.
Just what the doctor ordered. This was such a great read. I know I’ll revisit these two in the coming time. Ughhh, Reign and Sharif were everything. The way the came about, him applying pressure, her trying something new. That ending!! I’m here for something more from this group.
