The only thing better than being a rock star with two hot guys in your bed? Having two hot guys who still want you there when the sun comes up and every sunrise after.
Being a famous rock god has its perks, like private jets, adoring fans, and never having to work hard for a hookup. But finding someone who wants me for more than my autograph or what’s in my pants? That’s about as rare as me hitting a wrong note.
When I land in Sunnyside for my first movie role, I head straight to the local bar for some liquid courage. What I find is Duke, the brooding, muscular owner, who is looking at me like I'm trouble walking in skinny jeans. And his husband Early? He’s an angelic imp with a wicked sense of humor who flirts as naturally as I breathe.
They say three’s a crowd. I say it’s just enough bodies to properly fill a king-sized bed for a night of fun. But somewhere between Duke’s heated kisses and Early feeding me homemade pastries, I realize I want more than just one wild night. I want to turn their perfect duet into a permanent trio.
Can I convince this married couple I’m ready to trade sold-out tours for breakfast in bed? Because I’m officially auditioning to be the meat in their husband sandwich, and I plan to nail the callback.
Prelude of Love is a steamy, laugh-out-loud MMM romance featuring a flirty rock star with hidden depths, a grumpy bar owner who’s secretly a softie, and a sunshine husband who loves stirring up trouble. Get ready for witty banter, unexpected feelings, and a love story that’ll have you turning pages faster than a drumroll.
This is the sixth and final book in the Harmony of Hearts series and part of the Sunnyside universe. It can be read as a standalone, but reading the series in order is the best way to maximize your enjoyment.
Prelude of Love by Ariella Zoelle is the 6th book in her Harmony or Hearts series. It is the story of connection between a long-time couple who love what they have together and the 3rd man they add that completes their family, all with the background of music. Duke and Early have been married for 15 years and live in Sunnyside where Duke owns the Hurly-burly bar and Early owns the Bruhaha coffee shop across the street. Duke is all dominant Alpha and Early is a sassy submissive who likes to tease and push his buttons but there is no doubt of how much they love each other. Duke grew up around music and it is a huge part of his life. He has an extensive vinyl collection and listens to it all the time. They count as good friends famous singers and rock bands who live in the area and frequent his bar. He is especially enamored of the music of 22 year old Chance Prince and listens to it all the time, especially when he and Early are having some hot love scenes. Chance is coming to Sunnyside to film his first move as an actor and it is going to be set in Duke’s bar and Early’s coffee shop. Early has been teasing and pushing Duke’s buttons, something he does well, about adding Chance as their third as they were both broken hearted about the other man they shared who had moved away. Duke is pretty private and says it won’t work because of how young Chance is, but Early knows him inside and out and is pretty sure that it could. Chance comes to town before filming starts and comes into the bar. He is very sure of himself and likes being the center of attention and to flirt and when he sees Duke he sets his sights on him. But Duke says he has to prove himself before anything can happen. When he tells Early about their meeting, Early says he’s already training him to be theirs. The next morning Chance goes to Bruhaha and meets Early who is very intuitive and can sense the vulnerability under Chance’s bravado and knows they can offer him something genuine if he’s interested in more than a fling. Chance talks to Early and tells him he’s worried about not being good enough for the movie but Early bolsters his confidence by telling him to trust his talent. Chance’s attraction to the two men has become evident and he is starting to think that he may want more than a fling and sees having fun with them, too. Another encounter with Duke has Chance pushing back at him and showing his brattiness which causes Duke’s protective instincts to come out just as they do with Early. Another early morning talk with Early sends Chance to his first rehearsal, which doesn’t go well until he has a talk with his costar Rook who told him about his start and then things start to work. Duke invited Chance to dinner where Early senses that Chance needs people who see him as more than a rock star. He shows Chance his music room filled with records and how much music means to him. They have a great time talking at dinner which leads them to a very hot and steamy love scene where Chance learns to be submissive to Duke’s dominance as Early eggs them both on. All 3 of them are feeling the connection and sensing they want more than just a fling so are going to get together again. It has taken a while but Duke knows, just as Early had earlier, that Chance is theirs. They have a fundraiser for one of Duke’s workers where they sing with each other and realize they need to be together. Duke and Early want him not because he’s famous but because he fits with them and he realizes he can be his real self around them. This leads them to fall in love and the story has a great ending that cements their relationship. I enjoyed this story. Duke and Early have found a love that few have and they show it to each other every day. They do like to play and invite a 3rd into their bedroom but it has been a while and Chance seemed to be perfect, even before they have met him. Duke is dominant and protective, which Early knows and loves and Chance finds out. Early likes to push buttons and is quite sassy which both men like. Chance is vulnerable but soon realize that Duke and Early are just what he needs. His parents, friends, and the workers all play a big part in the story. I recommend this book, especially if you like stories including threesomes who have some very hot and steamy love scenes as well as a young man who is famous and trying to find his way and gets lots of help, encouragement, and love from the two older men who want to spend forever with him, all with the background of special songs and lots of music.
Chance, Duke, and Early's romance was a delightful journey full of music, love, and laughter. I went into this book without having read the rest of the Harmony of Hearts series, and aside from the very first chapter I didn't have any trouble following along with the storyline. Duke and Early had been married for fifteen years, and their love was as bright and strong as ever. As a polyamorous couple, they had brought thirds into their relationship a handful of times, but only when the chemistry felt right. Chance Prince was a rockstar who both Early and Duke had admitted to fantasizing about, and when he ended up in town to film a movie all the stars aligned for them to explore their compatibility. I was instantly smitten with the potential the three of them had, and I especially loved the way their personalities complemented each other. Duke was the possessive, growly one with a secret teddy bear soft side, Early was the sunshiney, bratty instigator, and Chance was the flirty, confident musician who tugged on both their heartstrings. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the three of them circle around each other, flirting and getting to know each other before deciding it was time to test out their physical chemistry. Duke was probably the most resistant to letting Chance into their lives, not because he wasn't interested but because he was afraid of getting too attached and getting his heart broken when the movie filming ended. I'm so glad that both Early and Chance were persistent about giving things a try, because once they let down their walls their relationship was even more incredible than I expected. The three of them had insanely good physical chemistry, but beyond that they developed a strong emotional connection rooted in their shared interests and trusting each other with their insecurities. It didn't take long for me to be certain that the three of them had something special that could last a lifetime, and watching it all play out kept a big smile on my face. This book has definitely convinced me to go back and read the rest of this series, and I'm excited to see where Red's return to Wintervale takes him!
**I voluntarily read an ARC of this book. This review expresses my honest thoughts and opinions.
Ariella Zoelle’s “Prelude of Love” joyously depicts my favorite aspect of polyamory – “compersion.” In our possessive society it is rare to find people who are truly excited to know their beloved is happy in the arms of another. And yet it is truth for all three of Zoelle’s men.
Duke owns the restaurant/bar in his small town, which several famous musicians call home and Early own the bakery/coffee shop. As a devoted couple, Duke’s growly exterior and secret caregiving persona matches with Early’s sunny, easy-going style. The first few chapters demonstrate their deep commitment, shown in part by their delight in sharing their love with others.
Chance, a young, sexy musician is about to act in his first movie, shot at Duke’s bar. Early angles for them to seduce the younger man. Earley’s reasoning is that it’s been a long time since they enhanced their bond with another, and Duke, a minor musician himself, needs someone who appreciates the art like he does. In fact, Chance has been Duke’s favorite for years.
Why does Duke resist Early and Chance’s seduction? He and Early are in a long-term relationship with gratifying polyamorous experiences, This is where “Prelude of Love” offers an interesting contrast to most novels.
Readers generally know character’s motivations, and read to learn if they get what they want. Here, we know it’s likely the three will sleep together. But what are their motivations? The twist made me hungry to understand Ms. Zoelle’s characters. I found the three personalities well-formed and put the spotlight on their strengths and vulnerabilities. It’s an interesting study for writers.
The thruple mix and match smoothly, another feat. It’s hard enough to invent two engrossing characters much less three!
Ms. Zoelle’s intimate scenes scorch, even as they reveal her characters. While the novel is low angst, there is enough tension to keep me fascinated by all three men. How will they dance together? Who will lead, who will retreat, and why?
If you like polyamory, “Prelude of Love” hits all the right notes, sweet, sassy, sexy and satisfying. Complete enjoyment!
4.5 stars I hadn’t read the previous books in the series, so the first chapter kind of freaked me out with all the unfamiliar names and relationships, but it eventually became clearer as I read further. Early and Duke are a committed husband and husband team, together for 16 years, when they meet Chance, and the spark is immediate. They have had threesome hookups before and one long term throuple, but have not had one recently. Chance is fourteen years younger, a rock star with a band of his own, and the agreed upon “hall pass” for Duke and Early for a casual threesome hookup, until they do and once is not enough. The challenges come with Duke worried about getting too attached, the instant attraction and desire for more, Chance and his career in LA, the age gap, and the logistics and possibilities once his commitment in town is done. There are a lot of intimate sexy times between Duke and Early in the first half the book, almost more than I needed, because it seemed the connection and developing relationship with Chance was second in importance for much of the book, with low angst, especially from Duke, hesitant to start anything, then continue with it beyond the initial encounter. The writing clearly depicted the love and commitment between Duke and Early, and that love shone through the pages when they were in the same place, whether public or private. I enjoyed the flirting and banter between Duke, Early and Chance, each giving as good as he got. I especially liked the part with Duke, Chance, and one of Chance’s songs, you could feel the heat and tension building and the lyrics were so appropriate for the situation. I did enjoy the book and especially the heat and connection between the three main characters, how it was so natural, making Chance feel small and safe within the embrace of these two men he desired, definitely wanted and adored. The vibe was really beautiful their relationship grew. From the beautiful depiction of love alone, I would recommend the book for an emotional, satisfied feeling throughout. I received an ARC from the author and this is my voluntary review.
“You used up your bargaining position when you told the guys about Chance being my hall pass.”
What a great 'outro' to this series, Harmony of Hearts. I'm sad to see it coming to an end. Ariella did a fantastic job with this entire series and if she ever decides she doesn't want to be an author anymore, she can get a job writing song lyrics. She's got to be one of the most gifted writers I follow, she definitely has a way with words.
It was fun to see all the guys again from Ariella's previous books, I'm sure this won't be the last time we see them. She has a way of pulling the characters together that doesn't seem forced or contrived.
I had trouble deciding which line, from the book, I wanted to use for my title... since I couldn't use both I decided to share the one I didn't use with you as well. "He may have expected me to be trouble, but I’d enjoy showing him I was chaos incarnate with a personal vendetta against his peace of mind." How can you not love Chance Prince?!? Don't even get me started with Early, Duke already has a handful without the addition of Chance.
This was a great 'prelude' to the new series featuring Red and his brothers. I'm so happy Red gets a book and his book just happens to be the 'intro' to the new series. See what I did there??? I used these musical terms; outro, prelude, and intro in my review, the series is called Harmony of Hearts after all.
Be sure to check out the bonus chapter link at the end of this book. The bonus chapter also has the link to the visual guide, which I personally love. These guides always contain such interesting tidbits about things mentioned in the book, you won't be disappointed.
Prelude of Love by Ariella Zoelle is the 6th and last book in her Harmony of Hearts series. It also is a prequel of sorts to her next series. Prelude can be read as a standalone, but characters from the earlier books cameo, and reading the other books is a great worldbuilding for this story. For context the character Chance has appeared in two other Zoelle stories (Gaycation in Paradise and Skip a Beat). Duke and Early have cameod in other HoH stories. Prelude is a sizzling way to end Harmony of Hearts. An established couple of 15 years, Duke and Early have included a third in their bedroom before, as an occasional thing. They had a third, but he moved away and broke their hearts. When rock star, Chance comes to Sunnyside to star his first film, they find a boy who fits into their daddy/boy dynamic. It's a lovely story. Sweet with a side of brattiness. Chance hides his vulnerability under his rock star persona, and Duke is reluctant to open his heart to a new third. Expect angst and maybe a tissue or two. Early is trouble, but he's also empathetic and smooths the way for Chance. The heat in their encounters just sizzles. Definitely fun. Prelude has a strong family and found family feel. A wonderful way to wrap up the series. Prelude needs it's own playlist as music is another way the trio bonds. Ariella Zoelle has a delightful way of writing. It's playful and melodic, she makes it seem easy. Absolutely loved it. Can't wait to read Red and Carmine's books. I received an advance copy of this book and this is my review.
I LOVED this book! It’s been a while since we’ve been to Sunnyside and this was well worth the wait! Duke and Early are happily married but when a discussion with friends brings up everyone’s relationship hall pass, Early decides to let the cat out of the bag with Duke’s choice. Who happens to be Early’s choice as well. And is coming to town to film a movie. Chance has an amazing voice that does things to Duke and when he’s in town, Early will do his best to convince Duke that it’s time they added a third to their relationship. The last time ended with heartbreak for Duke when their third moved away and he’s a little hesitant about trying again. But Early gets his way and the chemistry between the three of them is off the charts! I love the small town way of life and how much they care about each other. This will come out when one of Duke’s employees needs to head back to his hometown for a family emergency. I love the way Duke cares for Red and the send off the entire town gives him. Forever is the only thing on Duke and Early’s mind when it comes to Chance and I love how they show him just how good true love can be.
I read an ARC copy of this book and am volunteering my honest review.
What a great and hot way to end the Harmony of Hearts series.
We met Chance in Gaycation in Paradise and his father's story is Skip a Beat. Early and Duke were featured in various books prior and have their own prequel in For a Song. It does bring more to the story if you read the previous books beforehand.
This is a very fast insta-lust with Early and Duke very much in favour in adding a third but especially Duke is concerned about a long lasting emotional entaglement as he fears they will be burned again.
Chance is the love them and leave them, a bit bratty, guy who thinks seducing Duke and Early is easy. I love how he soon learns that there is a lot more ot Duke than what you see and Duke soon gets the possessiveness out in full force. They definitley aren't shy and there are plenty of hot scenes.
It's clear how Early is not just the enabler here but also the one who gets Chance and Duke to see that there is a lot more to the three of them than what they all think in the beginning.
I would have loved some Duke and Sir meeting about Chance.
I look forward to the next series which seem to bring us back to Wintervale and finally Red's turn.
If you are a Sunnyside Universe reader, you are already familiar with the couple Duke and Early. They have been married for years now and occasionally enjoy bringing another man into the mix. Chance is quite a bit younger and enjoys spending time with couples. So this is the perfect recipe for some fun.
Duke is a growly protector type who runs a bar, but has a special love for music and Chance’s songs already occupy a part of his brain that he can’t ignore. Early is a sassy instigator that is more than happy to fan this flame. So spoiler alert, fun times ensue and if you like spicy heat this is definitely the story for you.
Already having a fondness for Duke and Early, I especially enjoyed getting to spend more time with them here, plus finding a new happily ever after for them was a delightful reading time. But, if you don’t already know Duke and Early, you can still enjoy this story because any background you might need to know is provided for you. I would highly recommend Prelude of Love for readers who enjoy high heat between three men who start out just looking for some fun, but find out so much more is possible.
Duke, Early & Chance Polyamorous relationships are fascinating to read about to me because the interpretation of it is so vast that I could read ten in a row and be completely surprised by how its written each time (yes, similar can be said for MM, but that's not the point). I love that, because it makes them so fun to read, while being completely separate from the more typical coupled relationship. I love that Early gently encouraged Duke to reach out to Chance about their shared love of music. He knew that his knowledge was lacking, and wanted to give the other two men a connection all their own.
The tension and steaminess in this book were super fun to read as well. I loved the men's dynamics in the bedroom versus some of the way they act in public with one another. There's also a much higher level of affection when they are in private, even when not in the bedroom.
Prelude of Love was an incredible MMM romance. I had a lot of fun reading it, and while it's fun to have read the earlier books in the series to recognize some of the characters, this one can definitely be experienced as a standalone.
The last couple chapters with the special concert fundraiser were incredible and super sweet. Steamy too, but the main takeaway was the level of sweetness that we get to see out of Duke.
I received an authorized copy of this book and am volunteering my honest review.
I want to say I went in without having read the other stories in the series but that was absolutely not a problem. I didn't feel as if I was missing important informations.
The love between the established couple was beautifully shown in all their interactions – even the teasing - and was more than clear for me. Duke and Early are as solid as can be. They're even looking for a third without fearing that their relationship won't survive. The saying 'love is not pie' fits them perfect.
I absolutely loved the way those two managed to integrate Chance into their relationship, how they showed him that a relationship could be the right thing - even for him.
This story may have way more spice than I'm normally reading (in regards of quantities not heat level) but somehow it just fit. The chemistry between those three was hot and explosive, I could nearly taste it in the air while reading. I was fanning myself and that had nothing to do with the heat wave we're experiencing.
I was definitely rooting for the three and all too happy about that Epilogue.
An enjoyable, very entertaining story. I will now go and look up the other books in the series ^^
**4.5** I have loved this series throughout and am so glad to get to know Duke and Early even better than we already did, in all ways. Who knew they just needed Chance to come to town as seamlessly fit into their lives and relationship. It's a very low angst romance, though there is mention of grief when losing parents. The depth of connection that quickly develops between the three men is something that the author writes very well. it just feels natural for them all, not rushed and though there are strong emotions during a lot of moments, they also manage to keep things fairly light hearted, especially from Early. He lives to bring the lighter side of life to Duke, and with Chance now there, I have no doubt they'll succeed constantly. The chemistry they share is off the charts as well, so be sure to have something with you to cool you down whilst reading! One more thing shown well in this book is the small town/found family feel and the amazing community of people that has built up across the series's. Cannot recommend enough! The MMM is well written and fans of Ariella will know that sass and heat is coming your way. I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.
This was the conclusion to the Harmony of Hearts series, and worth the wait. It’s always nice to see returning characters from previous books, and Ariella has an engaging way of keeping them relevant in each book.
What starts as a discussion of celebrity hall passes for Duke and Early at a dinner with friends, escalates to making it a reality to bring Chance into their marriage as a true third! While knowing their love has a solid foundation that would become stronger by having this rock star join them, Early and Duke also want to give one another this extension of their marriage with the one person they both know they want as much as each other.
Chance may be young in age, but has an old soul due to his family and upbringing. It takes spending time with Duke and Early to understand what has been missing from his heart and he is able to find his true love and happiness in being with them.
The song lyrics written by Ariella were an added bonus. This was also a great introduction to her next series. Definitely an author worth following.
Spice 3.5 but emotionally intensity 4. Although they very cut and dry cliches of the stoic teddy bear and the sunshine. The adorable new golden retriever was a great add to it.
The banter was bantering! I COULD NOT stop laughing because they were snappy, sassy and is oh so sweet. Like hot chocolate with some baileys and burbon. (Best way to describe it)
I wish we had some more scenes with the three but I loved seeing the relationship with just Duke and Early. I love how it’s their book with their lovely third. Like it gives base couple developing feelings with another. I really enjoyed that refreshing take BECAUSE of how it was done. Tasteful and funny.
They really come alive in a different way as you feel you’re in the room watching right there and part of it. I’d say read it. Even if you’re not sure. Just do it for the plot (pun intended)
Thank you, Ariella & Neon Rainbow, for my copy of Prelude of Love. Part of the Sunnyside universe & 6th Harmony of Hearts book. We first meet Duke & Early in 0.5 For a Song. We met them again happily married & contemplating using their hall pass to invite a 3rd into their established dynamic. Chance Prince a 22 year old Rockstar is their hall pass!
Prelude of Love can be read as a standalone but I enjoyed knowing more about Duke & Early from reading For a Song. All three men brought something different & I loved how their dynamic complimented each others.
💗 MMM Romance 💗 Rockstar 💗 Grumpy/Sunshine 💗 Celebrity Hall Pass 💗 Opposites Attract 💗 Established Couple 💗 Age Gap 💗 Epilogue 💗 Multi POV 💗 Bonus Content
What I liked about this story's the characters. So many good ones. I liked the bar and coffee shop places. They showed Duke and Early's Character. I liked Chance's tenacity. It's a sweet romance with a loving couple looking for a third in thier relationship.
What I wish was different was the names mostly sounded like Fantasy names like Iason, Rook, mister, Sir,and the list goes on. And it talked mostly about s3x. Chance flirting with Duke or Early, Duke and Early getting it on ,eventually the three getting it on, constant talk of it and innuendos. I'm no prude but I like more story than heat...though I loved the age gap.
I recommend this book if you like Rock stars, thresome, a sweet hot romance.
Really 4.5 stars! One of the things I love about a series is seeing main stories for characters from past books... and seeing some old friends along the way. Duke and Early were a perfect couple....able to love each other to the fullest, yet being comfortable enough on their love to occasionally invite on a 3rd. Polyamory isn't always successful, someone always usually gets jealous. These guys didn't have that problem. So when the opportunity to invite Chance into their bed, they go for it. Duke has deep attraction for Chance, so not much convincing is necessary. Although Duke had the same desire, he had some worries. Thankfully Chance had the same attraction to them. I just love a good HEA with low angst.
This is the last of the Harmony of Hearts series. Although it says it works as a standalone, I'm not sure I'd recommend that. I really think you need to read some of the others to fully appreciate this.
It's a spicy love affair between Early, Duke, and Chance. Chance comes to town to film a movie, meets Duke, and then Early. Both Early & Duke are seriously attracted to Chance, and Chance immediately wants to become part of their relationship. There's a bit of snark, a number of pet names being thrown around, and a very sweet love affair.
If you’re looking for a spicy read with some instalove, this is it. Duke and Early have been living their HEA for years. They are hopelessly devoted to each but have so much love to give. Chance is a rockstar who is looking for a good time… but that good time turns into something he never expected… his own HEA.
The story was low angst and high heat. At times it almost seemed too easy how everything came together. I would’ve liked a bit more something… not giving spoilers but they kind of had limited interactions.
Talk about going out with a bang! What a brilliant ending to this series! I love a mmm romance but so many books just seem to be all about the sex! Don't get me wrong there is plenty of sexy times still but alongsidevthis we are treated to an engaging and at times hilarious storyline plus let's not forget the fantastic characters. Taking about characters you will benefit from reading the previous books as we have met them before!!! Loved it! I received a free arc copy and this is my honest review
This is a sweet story about finding something that you never knew you were missing. It was nice to see that Duke and Early are a strong couple who are open to bringing another into their relationship. When Chance shows interest in joining them for some fun the two begin to pay attention. I liked the way each man had a distinct and different personality yet they fit together well. As the three spend more time together they must figure out how and if they fit together. Their journey is a sweet and sexy one that is full of emotions.
So hot, so very sweet. This is only the second MMM story I’ve read that involved a long term married couple. I have to say that adding Chance to Duke and Early’s relationship was seamless. The three just fit together beautifully in every way. Early is trouble, in capital letters! Chance isn’t much better. It’s good that Duke is so strong, having to handle those two. He’s a caretaker down to his bones. Lovely, wonderful book!
Returning to Sunnyside and Duke’s Bar is always an adventure. Duke and Early are still happy and thriving and both interested in getting to know Chance a whole lot better. This book delivers another sweet and sassy story where three is most definitely not a crowd but is the perfect number for a happily ever after. The story keeps you reading and leaves you smiling. I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book
I am so stoked for this book! I have been eagerly awaiting this story and so glad that the author was able to overcome all kinds of struggles and write it. I love Duke and Early so much. They are such a wonderful example of what ENM, ethical non-monogamy, looks like. They are polyamorous but that doesn’t affect the love between the two of them. They are solid as a rock. Love isn’t pie and they have plenty to spare for Chance.
I loved that Duke and Early had a wonderful relationship. They were open and honest and teased each other, even about other men. But this time around Chance was a special addition. They both wanted to have fun, but they both definitely emotional connected Chance. Duke's protective side came out for Chance big time, and I swooned at that! I enjoyed the way this established relationship became a threesome.
This is the sixth book in this wonderful series by Ariella Zoelle! This is Duke, Early and Chance's story! Their story is witty, romantic, steamy and an all around great read! This book is filled with delightful characters and the story is wonderful too! This story is a wonderful addition to this adorable series! I'm hoping for a boxed set soon! I read an advanced copy of this book and this is my unbiased review! I loved it!
I always love me an Ariella Zoelle book, especially in the Sunnyside universe. Duke, Early, and Chance’s story was sweet, sassy, and emotional as goodbyes had to be said to a beloved character moving back home. I love Duke’s grouchy marshmallow vibes and his nickname for Chance. Early and Chance are both flirts who enjoy pushing Duke’s buttons. Put them all together and they make beautiful music together. Low angst, high heat, HEA.
So, this is the book finally telling us about how Duke and Early's marriage works. It is well written and similar in style to the previous titles in the series. The only downside for me is that it feels like some situations repeat themselves in similar ways. This could have been caught before publishing, but it does not take away from the fun. If you loved the other books, you will love this one too.
Steamy, sweet and low angst are Ariella Zoelle's stock in trade, but when she writes MMM she turns up all three! I love that Duke and Early's re-appearance gives them the third that they crave! And Chance is the perfect blend of sweet and sassy! I would have loved just a touch more angst and maybe a little tension between Duke and Chance's father, but overall it was exactly what you'd expect from this author and that makes it wonderful.
I already loved this series. Prelude to Love just added an even deeper layer to the Harmony of Hearts Series. I’ve reread this series many times and this new addition is the best of the series so far. What is even better are the lyrical poems. The words and cadence in the lyrics Ariella created are by far her best yet of all her rock star characters! Bravo!
