Nova Travers built walls to survive. As a single mother and the Director of Nursing at a crumbling facility, she wasn’t looking for love. She was looking for safety, survival, and a sliver of peace in a world that had taken too much from her. Love was a luxury she couldn't afford. They say love conquers all. They never said what it destroys in the process. Nova’s life revolved around long shifts, whispered fears, and protecting her daughter from the ghosts that refused to stay buried. But Nova has a secret that could destroy them both and enemies lurking in the shadows who’d stop at nothing to drag her back into the life she fought to escape. In a city ruled by power and money, love isn’t given. It’s taken. In Timberline, power isn’t clean. Bloodlines are everything. And love? Love is a war zone. Then one reckless night with Crew Sanderson, a dangerously charming stranger at a corporate gala shatters everything she thought she knew about herself. Crew Sanderson stepped into her world like a storm wrapped in a tailored suit. A man who doesn’t ask permission, who doesn't know how to lose. Rich, ruthless, and carrying secrets darker than the scars on his skin, Crew isn’t just dangerous. He’s inevitable, not just a man. He was a force of nature, hellbent on claiming Nova and her daughter. Her moment of surrender leads to a collision of worlds neither of them are ready for. Nova thought running would save her. She didn’t realize Crew Sanderson was the kind of man who would burn cities to the ground to keep what’s his.
This was kind of a mess. I hate to say it, but 140+ pages and I still don't feel like I know these characters. The relationship moved way too fast like, we’re 9% in and they’re already getting busy in the back seat. Where was the build-up? The tension? The connection?
The pacing felt rushed from start to finish, like it was trying to squeeze a full romance arc into a lunch break. And the whole evil ex subplot? It had potential but didn’t hit. We barely got to know anyone before we were thrown into drama that didn’t feel earned.
And I still don’t know who the “savage” was supposed to be. The title didn’t fit, the plot was all over the place, and by the end I was just… disconnected.
Not the worst thing I’ve read, but definitely not one I’d revisit.
Overall an okay read. There was more details sex scenes than there was plot. Don’t get me wrong the sex scenes were great but I wanted more from the story. It was a cute story but there was some editing issues and the wrong words used a quite few times. There was also repeating of certain things that I felt were unnecessary. I hated how the FMC didn’t have the common sense to immediately be honest about what was happening especially once they had been married for a while. There were times where it felt like the author forgot what she previously wrote and decided to change some things up which was confusing. Time lines not syncing and Dels gender changed. Was that a man or woman? The ending was also lackluster. I wasn’t expecting that ending to be so abrupt and I was rather disappointed. I feel like this story could have been wrapped up with one book.
Yeah no! I no good and damn well she didn’t just do that to me! Had me up until 5:30 am and gonna end it like that! Done stressed me out. How she expect me to go to sleep after that? I read that entirely too fast! Where is part 2 she play too much! Sensational!
Bella Grace Recklessly In Love With A Ruthless Savage
Nova was an exceptional individual, embodying the essence of a devoted mother. She was striving to keep her life and family intact while managing a nursing home that was on the verge of collapse. The challenges intensified after the pandemic the facility had not been the same since. Despite her unmatched love for her daughter, Nova recognized that her demanding work schedule had hindered their quality time together. She was tirelessly working to create a better life for her daughter, who remained a beacon of light and resilience, never once voicing her complaints.
I wholeheartedly recommend this story as it provides a vivid depiction of the struggles faced by single mothers. It portrays the harsh reality of balancing the responsibilities of nurturing a child with the necessity of providing for them. The narrative captures the dilemma of single motherhood, showcasing the efforts to raise kind and loving individuals while ensuring a stable home environment. The inclusion of additional characters adds depth to the story the author skillfully develops each character, allowing readers to connect with them and understand their roles within the narrative.
Timberly truly embodies the heart of this story, as everything her mother did was motivated by love for her. She is portrayed as a sweet, one of a kind child.
The book certainly takes readers on a tumultuous journey. Kyle and his family were out of their minds. Nova sought the freedom to raise her daughter and move forward with her life, yet she found herself entangled with a troubled group that provided her with peace, love, security, and support. The story concludes with a cliffhanger, leaving me eager to follow up on the next installment after thoroughly enjoying this one.
From the moment Crew was introduced, he exuded BDE—commanding attention and respect without even trying. What really stood out to me was how, even though his marriage to Nova began as a business arrangement, Crew didn’t treat it like one. He stepped into the role of “husband” with purpose, presence, and passion.
His constant protection and genuine concern for Nova made me fall for him right alongside her. Crew didn’t just play the part—he embodied it. His loyalty, strength, and emotional depth gave the story heart and made him a standout character. I couldn’t get enough of their dynamic.
This was such an amazing read! I’m definitely looking forward to reading more from this author. The writing was strong, the pacing flowed effortlessly, and the character build-up was so well done. I was completely drawn in.
That said—I am slightly upset… I wasn’t ready for that cliffhanger! I usually wait until a whole series is out because I’m way too impatient, and now I’m left needing more ASAP.
The spice level? 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ — and it was HOT. I had to put the book down a couple of times just to cool off! 🔥🔥
Highly recommend if you love steamy, well-written stories with great character development and a twist that leaves you wanting more!
This is my first time reading a book from this author, but it will not be my last. This family is exciting, violent, and love. Crew is pissed and it's about to be on and popping! Get ya family back Crew by any means necessary. When you kidnap a man's family, you are not going to have a good day.
Nova tried her best to protect herself and her daughter from her ex Kyle. That man was evil and would stop at nothing. I hate how Nova and Timberly still ended up getting kidnapped I hoped Cree is able to find them in the next book before it’s too late.
Nova just wanted peace for her and her daughter from the dangers of her past, but when she cross paths with Crew. She thought she could run from him too but Crew wasn’t having it, he had to have her. I loved how Crew embraced Nova’s daughter and stood business about protecting his family! Also liked how August and his family was mentioned in this story. Can’t wait for part two 🔥
Whew! This book is keeping me enthralled from page to page! Crew applied pressure and got his woman and daughter, and now they are being threatened by an evil ex! I can't wait to see how Crew handles this next battle! I know he's coming hard! Nova is in the trenches now; she'd better fight when it comes down to it.
I really dont know where to start with this book. It definitely started off fast. It is a quick read. I was not expecting smut right at the beginning lol. There were some romantic parts and some questionable parts. I will read part two because I feel like I have to get to the bottom of the mystery. I do kind of wish that it gave a preview of Nova's life 1st then jumped into her moving.
I love me some Crew!! That man knew what he wanted and went after it asap!! They playing with his family now so we about to see old Crew come in!! I’m here for it!!!! I NEEDS PART TWO ASAP!
Oweeee I knew she was gone bring it! I love that in this book it was more sensual scenes. I hope Crew can take down Kyle and his family. Nova and Timberly deserve to be safe and loved
This was definitely my first book by this Author. The pace was steady and kept my attention throughout. Storyline was nice and had a great amount of spice… Unpopular opinion I don’t mind Cliffhangers so this didn’t deter me…Will continue into book 2!
This was a good read!! Nova and het daughter Timberly just wants to live a normal life. In steps Crew who has vowed to protect them with his life!! Crew is that MAN!! Nova may be on the run but she is backing down from crazy kyle!
3.5 ⭐️ 5 🌶️ A quick read that kept me engaged throughout. It leans more toward erotica than urban romance (imo), with plenty of spice. I’m hoping for deeper character development in Book 2 so I can really connect with the characters.
Only part was how fast they got together.I will recommend this book 100%. Know the next part will be just a good as the first one, don't wait too long.
Man, this book was so spicy and a very good read. Crew has been added to my long list of book baes. I have one question for Ms. Bella Grace…. Book 2 eta?
This was a sexy, wild ride. A mother’s love. The needs of a woman. A goal focused man. A crazy and powerful ex. I definitely need to jump into the conclusion.
