Well, now that I have come out of my sexual haze from reading this book... I have decided it needed a higher rating...because let's face it...I am a sucker for Blakely men done right...and Nate is just the best.

Nate, of course, is charismatic handsome, built, strong and has great taste in clothing and smarts in business. He also has an aversion to boxers, briefs, togas or anything which comes in contact with his dick while wearing clothes...so yes, he goes Commando... all the time...sigh....

He has been best friend and confidant with Casey, his best friend's sister. She is now the head of Joy Delivered, an up scale, high class sex toy business. He has also been attracted to her for years... but has maintained the Best Guy Friend status with her... because hanging and doing things with her is the best for him.... and he isn't romance and long term relationship material...

Casey has the A Type personality down pat... she is driven, likes things done right the first time and runs her company with a sure hand. This has worked well for her in many ways...except when it comes to her love life. She does not fit that mold of being shy in the bedroom... hell she runs a sex toy company for god's sake... of course she has used all of the toys, knows how her body works and likes... So she is use to being verbal and direct in bed...and it seems that has not gone over well when trying to have a long term... possibly the one relationship.

Casey is a little down on herself personally right now... and she needs to focus on a huge presentation with a lingerie company president to propose a marketing concept of matching their top pleasure toy with the new undies line of the company. She is lucky to have Nate to talk her off the nervous ledge... and he does ... like always...

Casey does the presentation and while it is happening, the man is eying her like a starving man... he is sending all kinds of sexual interest signals and even though she is pitching the proposal... she is feeling the interest and possibly returning it...He is very commanding... but she is trying to be careful... this is business. During the meal, she is wanting to move things along and she starts to get some mixed signals from him. He puts her in "Her Place" when she makes "aggressive moves" in any way... and opens the subject of his personal interest in her. How he would like to pursue her and if she understands she should let him take the lead in ALL THINGS. Casey listens, nods and leaves with concerns of whether she will ever be able to give up control in bed.

This leads to the major focus of this story... Casey confides in Nate her inability to let others lead in the bedroom and what her exes have said...and then brings up Grant, the CEO; how he wants her to be submissive...and how she doesn't know what to do...She wants this possible relationship with Grant to work... so maybe... well maybe... Nate could give her some lessons????

Nate looks at Casey... who he has been lusting after for years... and needs to take moment... he makes sure he understands what is being asked... Casey confirms she wants him to teach her to give up control and we are off to the races...

Ok... I have to take a moment myself.... because thinking about what I read... and what Nate did with Casey... I just need to breathe....

I am back... This is where Ms. Blakely works her well crafted talent....she has Nate take Casey on a magic carpet ride of intense foreplay, physical and mental. He starts with her slowly, changing his demeanor and using a voice she has never heard from him before... He introduces her slowly, playing her like a violin... plucking at breasts... stroking like a bow on her thighs and causing her moments of singing out loud. The kissing is such a thing of beauty it will make you think your lips are swollen after reading about it. The things he does... and her reactions... all work. This is not rushed... he takes days, using her mind and anticipation to create the fever.

Yes, there is a story, more than this... and it is crafted well... and we are invested in it,too. The main draw for this book is learning how people can actually love one another but call it different things ... because actually calling it love is scary...It puts you out there raw and vulnerable... but when you do reveal yourself to the one you love.... oh the rewards are so worth it.

So I rounded up for Ms. Blakely... this is a delight of sensuality, acceptance of who you are and letting your freak flag fly... because the one who loves you will love ALL of you.

Wow just wow is all I can say. Everything I thought I knew about Casey and Nate was totally or at least halfway wrong..Lauren took me for the most passionate friends to not only lovers but best lovers ever story. Nate was perfect .. oh gosh I loved how much he adored Casey. She was the luckiest character of Lauren's to date. This guy spent days worshiping her.. nights making all her erotic dreams and fantasies and more coming true. Then when things look like they will make that stupid mistake in books like some do.. Lauren proved why she's my go to author for loyal perfect alpha males.. the characters step up and stay true. Loved every moment lady. You'll be getting another crazy hug from me when I see you again. Thanks for keeping the R in Romance xxoo

Every time I sit down with a Lauren Blakely book, I get that butterfly feeling in my stomach. A warm rush of happiness and excitement. Because Ms. Blakely has never let me down. And Forbidden Nights is just another in a long list of Blakely books and Blakely boys that I have loved, that’s made me smile and swoon, that’s held me all the way to the last page, and that has left me completely satisfied and yet somehow still wanting more.

Casey Sullivan knows what she wants and goes for it. But when what she wants seemingly conflicts with who she is she turns to her best friend, the man she trusts above all others, for help.

Nate Harper has long appreciated Casey for her brains, her beauty and her balls in business. Her friendship is important to him; he’d do anything to help her, and to protect it. So when she turns to him for help in the bedroom, he’s not about to say no.

It’s supposed to be a friend helping a friend, except beneath the surface is a trust, an attraction, and a chance at a future that these two can’t seem to ignore. And leaves them wondering, what’s it like to fall for your best friend?

I actually let this book sit on my Kindle for far longer than I expected to – for far longer that I assumed I’d be able to – because I had other books to read and because I knew I’d love it. I knew from the synopsis and from the teasers and snippets I’ve had the pleasure of seeing on Facebook. I knew from past history and from being a reader/lover of all Ms. Blakely’s books. I knew I would be able to open Forbidden Nights when I needed a pick-me-up read and be completely thrilled by it.

I don’t have to tell you I was right. Simply read this fifth installment in the Seductive Nights series and see for yourself. Read the flirty banter, the so-hot-I-need-a-moment-alone-with-BOB sexy times, the playful and sweet interludes with crossover characters from her other books and the brow scrunching, you’ve got to be kidding me climax, and see that I was right.

The worst and best part of this book is the end. Forbidden Nights ended on a wonderful high note, a passionate reward for a reader that’s stayed through the whole journey, that’s fallen for these characters and who merely wants to see them get everything they’ve wanted since the first page. But then it’s over.

I’m left feeling a little bereft; I want more. Not because it didn’t end well, but because it did. Because I’ll miss that feeling that this book gave me and I’ll miss knowing I’m reading a book that’s guaranteed to be everything I want it to be…and maybe even a little more. ~ Beth, 5 stars

Holy hell! Every time I read a new book by Lauren, I don’t think there will be any way that she can top the last one, but she does! Every. Single. Time. Forbidden Nights was simply fantastic! It was sexy, HOT, sinful, romantic, and full of passionate love!

Nate and Casey are best friends; they have been for years. Nate is a one-and-done guy after a horrible end to his marriage, while Casey is a fan of true love, but can’t seem to find Mr. Right. When a man that Casey has been crushing on shows interest, she decides she wants to learn how to be less in control, so she turns to her best friend for help.

“I don’t want lessons in seduction. I want lessons in submission.”

Casey thinks she needs to give up control to get a man to want her. Since Nate has always found her attractive and often fantasized about being with her, the lessons are the perfect solution for him.

The “lessons” between Casey and Nate are explosive, sizzling, off-the-charts!!

“Say my name,” he commanded, breaking the kiss, his voice rough and needy and so d*mn hungry for her. “Nate,” she moaned, as he gripped her hips. “Say it again. Say my name as you come. Tell me who’s f--king you.”

Yet again, we have a swoon-worthy, dirty-talking alpha who can make you wet just from his words. Make sure that you have spare panties and extra batteries for your BOB while reading this one.

“F--k you into submission. F--k you until you come again and again. F--k you until you beg for me to do it again.”

While this story burns up your e-reader, it is so much more than just sex. It is about friendship, love, learning how to trust again, letting go of the past, and accepting yourself as you are. And I adored that we got to see so many of the past characters through Jack and Michelle’s wedding.

Forbidden Nights is officially my new favorite Lauren Blakely book! This was extremely hot (as in, I thought I might burst into flames!!!). Filled with real, vulnerable characters that learned to trust and love and I don't think I can give it enough praise. Loved this so very much!

This was an excellent story with awesome characters! I loved Casey and Nate! From the sweet to the sexy I could not put it down! This had everything: friendship, love, and off the charts sky rocket you to the moon hotness. I could not have asked for a better story. It was perfect for me!

Casey was such a strong woman. I loved her attitude and vibe. It made me want to be friends with her. Nate was just fantastic. Sexy and smart and so sweet and carrying. I loved (LOVED!) watching the friendship that the two of them shared really bloom and grow and turn into so much more. They had that chemistry I love to see and it made me melt. I loved the details of how it all started, the issues they had to work through, and then coming together. Everything was just laid out so well and I was pulled in to it all.

Nate and Casey together took hot to a whole new level. Between her letting go and his romantically dirty mouth, let’s just say that “panty melting” doesn't quite cover it. Lauren Blakely is the Master of HOT.

I adored the character connections from other stories and getting updates on everyone. All the little details that were laced throughout brought a smile to my face and just made me so happy.

This was just so well rounded and had a great pace. Excellent read with lots of passion and heat! 5 fantastically hot stars!!!!!!

I am too lazy these days to write proper reviews . Partly because I have exams and the other part is .. yeah .. too lazy :D !

But I wanted to say something about this book. Although it contains a hero with an ex-wife. I still really enjoyed this book. It was the perfect read for my mood. It was incredibly hot and passionate. I loved both the hero and the heroine . Great friends to lovers story !

PS. The hero is not still in love with his ex. ( Although he did really love her at one point which of course ..me being me I didn't like but moving on .. :D ) His pride is still wounded though from what she did to him so he doesn't want to let any woman in but his best friend Casey was a different story ! They both have issues that they try to get over but I understood all their actions and was rarely frustrated at them which is really rare these days !

Safety of the book OM :: At the beginning of the book, the heroine was interested in a business colleague , that's why she propositioned the hero for "lessons of submission" , but after one night with him , she lost her interest in that other man and nothing ever happens between them. He does cause the hero to be jealous which was extremely hot :D !

OW :: We do know that the hero was a player after his divorce but we don't actually see any of it. His ex-wife is in the story but not a lot. She just causes him to be a little distant but not for long. The heroine always brings him back. There was a mention of how much he used to love his ex-wife and how passionate they were with each other at the beginning of the story . I think that's the only part I didn't like but I moved on because he says more than once that he didn't want anyone as much as he wanted Casey.

I really enjoyed this best friend's little sister/friends with benefits romance. Nate and Casey's story was so sexy and I loved their magnetic chemistry. Casey was a fantastic heroine. She's a strong and confident businesswoman and even in her moments of vulnerability, she is mature enough to admit when she's wrong. I loved that she went after what she wanted and was direct and honest. I found Nate a little frustrating at times, but given his past history, it was understandable. He really showed his growth in the conflict at the end of the book and I appreciated that his initial reaction was realistic, but also mature. Catching up with Jack and Michelle was amazing too and having their wedding play a role in the story was awesome. Jack and Casey's relationship, as will as Davis and Michelle's, were 2 of my favorites in the book. The love between the siblings was so sweet and really tied all the stories together. The epilogue and bonus epilogue were absolutely perfect and so uniquely Casey and Nate. I loved the collection of kisses.

Sebastian York stunned me again with his amazing performance. There's nothing quite like hearing the unicorn narrate an intimate scene. He is so passionate and enthusiastic that you will be fanning yourself for sure. This is book 2 in the Joy Duet, but can be listened/read as a standalone. It would be best appreciated though after reading Nights with Him since that's where our characters are introduced and previous characters do appear. In fact, that's one of my favorite things about Blakely's books, how old favorites appear in her other books. These fun little connections and Easter eggs are such a treat for the listener/reader.

Forbidden Nights by Lauren Blakely was sinfully sexy!!! I was completely blown away with how passionate, sweet, and sexy the storyline was. As a big fan of friends to lovers story, Ms. Blakely left me swooning for Nate Harper. From the first page to the very last page, Ms. Blakely left a big fat smile on my face. Though this book was oozing with sensuality, steam and sex, Lauren was able to take this book up a notch when she made the simple act of KISSING so seductive. The kisses between Casey and Nate left goosebumps and hearts to flutter. What can I say but go read Forbidden Nights because this book was a mixture of romance and erotic writing at its best. Prepare to get seduced by Nate Harper and have your world rocked by his kisses!!!

Just like the previous book I reviewed, this book may be my most favorite from this author yet. LB has been delivering win after win for me. Although there might have have been a few that didn't come up to my expectations, I don't think I have ever read a really bad book from her.

I loved this series and this book was a great way to close if off. The friends-to-lovers plotline is always a personal favorite. The way Nate and Casey decided to take their relationship to the next level was a joy to read--because of what Casey wanted to learn and with how Nate tried to delay the inevitable for as long as possible...or necessary; that it was Casey who wanted to start something physical while Nate was the one who always had feelings for her all that time. I was seduced by the natural progression of their relationship even if it was already expected. I guess LB just had a way of spinning the narrative--that it was still enjoyable to read even if it wasn't the first time I've read something to that twist.

It's sad to say bye-bye to this character but with the way LB's worlds intersect with each other, I'm pretty I'm going to bump into some of these characters in her other books. I am most definitely looking forward to reading more of her stuff when I can.

Erotica by Lauren Blakely always puts a big smile on my face. I've loved every book in this series but this one is definitely my absolute favorite! This is a perfect choice for fans of friends to lovers storylines. Nate and Casey are so amazing together... the chemistry between these two was extremely erotic and steamy!
Casey is an Alpha Female business woman... she knows what she wants and goes after it but she has a little trouble in the romance department. She took a hit on her self confidence in the bedroom by an ex. Having decided she needed to learn to be more submissive and give up control, she turns to her best friend Nate for guidance and lessons.
Nate, having been burned by love in the past is perfectly content with his playboy lifestyle. He's always been fiercely attracted to Casey but never crossed that line due their strong friendship. But, he simply can't turn down an opportunity to be with her, even if it is just temporary.
Each time they come together, the emotions and connection that they feel for each other gets stronger and stronger. The author did such a beautiful job describing their intimate connections, feelings and emotions. I could feel their passion, need and love for each other so strongly. For me this was so much more than just erotica... it was a beautiful love story as well.
I really liked that Nate helped her to understand that she should never change who she is for anyone else. I loved his character immensely... a lover of animals, a juggler, a babysitter! But most of all... a man who knows how to love a woman with all his heart. He's my new favorite ideal man!
There is one scene in the book that I have gone back and read several times because I loved it so much... I have to share it but I'll put it in a spoiler tab... it is the best kissing scene I've read in a while: The kiss told her so much... that he was sorry for being late, that he'd missed her for the last several hours he'd been without her, and that this was the best part of his day. Hers too. This kiss was air, it was breath, and it was her heart on her sleeve. In the soft, slow sweep of his lips, in the hungry sighs they both made, in an instant, this kiss was everything. Her heel popped up. There it was. The final proof that no one had ever kissed her like he did, and no one probably ever would. **sigh** I heart you Lauren Blakely... :)))

Do I recommend?? Of course I do...

The full-cast duet style audiobook EPIC. Sean Masters is my all time favorite male narrator- I will pick up books just because he's narrating them, and I'd honestly listen to him narrating his to do list for 5 hours. He's magic to the ears. He delivers Nate with a smoldering, commanding presence. He has undeniable charisma- able to deliver swoony and sweet moments with charm, banter with just the right timing, and dirty talk that would legit melt paint of all wall from the heat. Andi Eloise I'm less familiar with, but she gives Casey a voice that’s both strong and full of heart, just like the character. Samantha Brentmoor and J.F. Harding round out the cast with great energy and their trademark charisma. The result is a dynamic, immersive listening experience—flirty, fiery, and deeply satisfying. Definitely one of my favorite Lauren audios- which is saying a lot because her audios never fail to wow me.

If you’re a fan of forbidden romance with heart, spice, and strong willed leads, Forbidden Nights is absolutely worth a listen. Or if you also just worship Sean Masters. Cause duh.

Lauren Blakely has quickly become one of my favorite authors. I've been listening to the Seductive Nights Series as they go on sale, then I grab the audiobook upgrade, so I am sadly listening out of order, but I'm still loving it. Sebastian York narrating just makes a sexy book even sexier....sigh.

Nate is a hotel CEO, and Casey is the new head of Joy Delivered, a high end sex toy company. Both powerful businesspeople who travel a lot, they have been close friends for a while. Nate has always had illicit thoughts about Casey, but kept it in his pants for the sake of friendship.

When Casey gets rejected by another guy who thinks she is too controlling in bed, she decides she needs to learn how to please men better. So she turns to her good friend Nate.

Nate takes that challenge, even though he thinks she's awesome submissive or dominant. But he takes the challenge well.....mmmmmmm....I can't not moan here.

“Say my name,” he commanded, breaking the kiss, his voice rough and needy and so damn hungry for her. “Nate,” she moaned, as he gripped her hips. “Say it again. Say my name as you come. Tell me who’s fucking you.”

I loved that Nate and Casey were both professional, experienced businesspeople, not kids just starting out. Their friendship, trust and respect for each other shone through in every interaction.

Nate can be so, so dirty and delicious. He is an amazing dirty talker, and the things he does in bed are so hot. He has no problem with her taking the lead, even though he is a total alpha, because he respects her as an alpha too. But it's Nate's knowledge of how to take care of a woman that I fell for the most.

"Romantic is taking care of a woman. It's being attuned to her needs. It's listening to her. It's making her feel beautiful, inside and out, because she is. It's knowing her favorite dish, and picking it up on the way home. It's giving her your coat when she's cold, and holding open the door, and it's making sure she has everything she needs before a big meeting."

Sigh....he's just so perfect!

•I want a Sebastian York, or Nate. Either or both is fine :)
•Perfect friends turned lovers story.
•SO.FREAKING.HOT.
•Nate is dirty and delicious, yet romantic and a good friend.
•Despite the good amount of sex, there was a lot of story, and I love how both of their businesses were worked into the storyline.
•The story was light and fun.
•Loved the last words before the epilogue.

Dislikes:

•3rd person (but really good 3rd person).

The Down & Dirty:

I need to gobble up every Lauren Blakely book. She is quickly becoming a top top favorite author. Nights With Him stood very well alone, and I loved reading about a slightly older, more worldly, experienced, professional couple vs. the oh-so-common virgin and the bad boy. There was a great friends-to-lovers story which also included some great details about each of their businesses; but it was HOT, made even hotter by Sebastian York's sexy voice.

God, I missed Nate!
This book is one of my favorites from Lauren Blakely and when I knew there was going to be an audiobook I was utterly happy about it, because I would be able to relive my love for Nate and Casey, and the best news was that it was going to be narrated by Sebastian York!! My Top #1 narrator ever!! Should I have to say more?  

So… This audiobook was awesome!! A perfect companion to Forbidden Nights!! I loved Nate and Casey's friendship. They were best friend before they started their lessons in seduction, so when the feelings came, their relationship was just perfect. And Oh. My. God! The sex scenes in this book were scorching HOT! Their sexy encounters were sooooo hot and Sebastian York made them all hotter!!!

So I'd recommend this audiobook to all my friends because it's Lauren Blakely and it's Sebastian York. Best combination EVER!!

One more time Lauren has proven to me why she is in my top 10 favorite authors! I’ve read almost all her books – yes, i can’t believe I haven’t read Far Too Tempting *face palm* - and I love all of them, it’s hard to decide which one is the best or which book boyfriend is my favorite – Well, not so much, my fav has always been Davis from Playing With Her Heart, until this book, now my book boyfriend #1 of Lauren’s book is NATE – Every book Lauren writes touches my heart with the romance, makes me laugh with some crazy moments she creates for her characters and Oh. My. God. she really knows how to write a very steamy sex scene!! *fan self*

Being part of Lauren’s FLovelies is awesome, and one of the best thing about it is that she shares with us her thoughts while she’s writing a book, and I loved every post she made of Forbidden Nights. I knew I’d love the book, first of all, because it’s a Lauren’s book *duh*, second, her posts were sexy and romantic and awesome, and third, I had a hunch… And that hunch was right. I didn’t only love the book for all those reasons but also because of NATE!!! He is just amazing!! He’s the best friend and the best lover a woman could have – Casie is a lucky lady, I want my Nate, please -

I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t love Nate this much if it wasn’t for Casie. I felt so related to her in so many ways. She’s a very successful, powerful, confident and smart woman, she likes to have the control in all things – Just like Christian Grey, yes, i’m sorry, i’m just in the Fifty Shades crazy state of mind -, and most of all, she always says what she wants. She was this way in her professional life, and also in her private life. There wouldn’t have been a problem with all of that if it wasn’t because her luck with men wasn’t always the best one. Sadly – or gladly, because this was what brought them together – that made her think that she needed to submit to a man in her private life, submit sexually and in all relationship things related. She wanted to change her best self for a man *shakes head*, and she asked Nate to teach her how to submit. It’s so funny because just by asking him this, she was showing how in charge she was of these “lessons”. I didn’t agree with what she wanted to do, I mean, she was amazing the way she was – AND THANK GOD NATE ALREADY KNEW THAT - but this was exactly what they both needed, yes, “they”, because this arrangement helped them both. It helped Casie to learn how to let go, how to give control and not take it, how to submit, how to surrender, things she didn’t feel comfortable with. And it helped Nate to trust again, to trust in love, to trust in a woman again, and most of all, to fall in love again.

This book was also like the HUGE REUNION to all the characters of Lauren’s book – OK not all, but most of them - . Being able to read Bryan’s POV again was just the best!! Kat was as amazing as I remembered her. Julia and (My) Clay *sigh* were there too, *happy dance*, with one little addition *woohoo*. Jack and Michelle’s wedding was beautiful and very paradise like. Reading about all of them, how they are doing in their HEA is always a joy for me. THANK YOU LAUREN FOR THIS!!

Everybody has to read this book. It’s just amazing. 500% recommended.

Hot & steamy

This was full of hot steamy sex, dare I say it... maybe too much!
I enjoyed this, but i would have liked more depth. Something was missing for me. I absolutely loved Nate and Casey, lots of dirty talk, sex tutoring and finding love again after heartbreak. A solid 4 star.

WOW!!!! Lauren Blakely has done it again. She gave us another EXCELLENT addition to an already stellar series. Forbidden Nights is book 5 in the Seductive Nights Series but can be read as a standalone.

This book is a friends to lovers story that was so unbelievably HOT that I thought my kindle was going to melt. I honestly have to say that this series is one of my ALL TIME favorite series. Lauren has created such amazing characters in all these books, that they just draw you in and make you feel a part of the story. I absolutely love Lauren's writing style. She has the ability to create a story that will have me laughing one minute, crying the next, and then yelling at my kindle, all while melting my panties :) Her writing is seamless and flawless. Her books move at the right speed, she doesn't drag anything out but you never feel rushed. I like that she adds just enough drama to her stories to keep you turning the page, but it isn't so over the top that I want to roll my eyes.

Like I said before this book is a friends to lovers story between Nate (Jack's BFF) and Casey (Jack's Sister) (Jack is from Nights With Him #4) Nate and Casey were such lovable and relatable characters, who were also kind of broken on the inside. They both have some trust and insecurity issues due to past relationships. I loved watching these two learn how to trust and love again. They were so perfectly matched. Even though this book was EXTREMELY H.O.T…..it was also a very sweet and romantic story between these two. I absolutely love when best friends fall in love with each other. Now it wasn't all smooth sailing for these two, they did have a couple hurdles to overcome (mostly personal ones) but it was great to see them so happy in the end. All I really have to say is that Lauren Blakely truly sets the bar high when it comes to the ultimate Book Boyfriend. I have loved all three of these men…Clay (Book 1-3), Jack (Book 4) and now Nate (Book 5). She has also given us a glimpse of the next hero Brent (Book 6) I can't wait to meet him ;)

I could probably go on and on about this series and this book….but I will just leave you with this one comment…..READ THIS BOOK/SERIES NOW!!!!! You won't be sorry.

Every time that Lauren Blakely comes out with a new book, I immediately fall in love with it. Thus, when Forbidden Nights showed up in my inbox I 1) about died with excitement; and 2) immediately changed all of my reading plans. I couldn’t keep my hands off of Nate.

This book did not disappoint! With sizzling heat and an ocean of sentiment, Forbidden Nights may be some of Lauren’s best writing yet.

Casey is an alpha female, meaning she’s a woman in a man’s business world. She likes to be in charge and she likes to get things done. Unfortunately, some men have a problem with a woman who is straightforward and in control. Casey has struggled to find a man who is willing to accept who she is, so she begins to wonder if she should try to let go of control. When she’s confronted with a potential business partner who also proposes to be a bed partner when he returns from an overseas trip she decides it’s time to try a little experiment with her best friend, Nate.

Nate’s divorced & has been burned by his ex-wife. He has sworn to never let this heart hurt that way again and so he keeps things light, casual and meaningless. He’s always had eyes for Casey, but they’re best friends – he can’t go there. Until she asked him to. She wants Nate to teach her how to cut the strings, be submissive, and overall – let go. How can he refuse when he gets hard just looking at her? So, naturally, he doesn’t.

Forbidden Nights is fantastically hot. The chemistry between Nate and Casey is explosive, and each page left me begging for more. Nate is basically perfect, even with his rough edges, and Casey is the perfect alpha woman to smooth them out. As their relationship starts to take on a new shape – from a casual affair of the body to a meaningful relationship of the heart – both Casey and Nate wonder if they can make what’s happening between them fit into their lives.

There’s a great story behind all of the steamy heat, which is par for the course with an LB book. Nate and Casey’s story had me laughing, cheering, and fanning myself. Firey passion & romance….this is one Big Love story you must read.

Lauren Blakely has mastered the steamy romance with such a good story!!! I am hooked on her books and look forward to what is in store for us as readers from Lauren.

Nate is a good looking, sexy CEO of a hotel chain. Nate has been married and carries his past with him and holds it against other women he has tried to date. Casey is a young lady that works at a very reputable sex toy company and has become very good friends with Nate, but that is all it has been for several years, a good friendship. Nate has had very steamy fantasies about Casey but has been able to restrain himself from acting on those feelings because of their great friendship that he does not want to mess up. When Casey's boyfriend leaves her because he thinks that she is too much of an Alpha female, Nate gets to reap the benefits. Casey asks Nate to help her to become submissive and learn how to take orders from a male. Never in Nate's wildest dreams did he expect both of their feelings to develop as strong as they did in such a short amount of time.

Nate teaches Casey to allow someone to pleasure her and enjoy her experiences without having to be in control all the time. The way that Nate takes care of Casey and shows her all the ropes is so moving. Nate can be an Alpha Male but he can also be submissive. Nate quickly realizes that he is not going to be able to let Casey go after their agreed amount of time because he has such strong feelings for her. Both Nate and Casey become very jealous of each other and can not stand the thought of th other being with someone else.

Once Nate and Casey admit to the feelings that they have for each other, they make a promise to each other to talk things out instead of holding things in and letting them build up. This was their smartest move as a couple and they quickly learn that because they have a relationship where they can talk to each other, they can make it through almost anything. This story ended in a HEA and I am so glad. Nate and Casey so deserved it!!! I love how Nate was so in tune to Casey and knew exactly what she needed and wanted. Thanks for a great read!!!

Forbidden Nights is the fifth book in Lauren Blakely’s Seductive Nights series, and it’s Nate and Casey’s story.

Followers of the series will remember Casey as Jack Sullivan’s sassy sister, and the new CEO of Joy Delivered, a company devoted to boutique sex toys. Casey and Nate have been best friends for years, but when Casey proposes a friends-with-benefits arrangement, neither of them anticipated what crossing that line would mean.

I love Casey Sullivan. Her take-charge approach in the board room turns out to be her weakness in the bedroom, but I’m a sucker for a strong female character, and Lauren Blakely delivers that with Casey. If Nate could teach her the finer points of submission, perhaps she could find success in her quest for love. Nate is game, of course, even though his ex-wife did a number on him emotionally. Love is for fools, but Nate is certainly not opposed to physical pursuits, and that’s all this is, right? So, when Casey suggests a no-strings-attached tutorial, Nate is all in. Of course his best friend’s body for sin hasn’t gone unnoticed by him. Neither has the fact that she owns a sex toy company. Nate has hit the trifecta!

Okay, and can I just say that I love that Lauren Blakely fans can count on her to give them cameo appearances by some past favorite LB characters. It’s like catching up with old friends while reading a new story. Forbidden Nights definitely delivers on the sexy. Nate and Casey are explosive in the bedroom, Yankee Stadium, and anywhere else they find themselves.

A smoking hot best-friends-to lovers gem! Lauren just keeps knocking the ball out of the park. And who doesn't love a home run? I loved Casey and Nate's best-friends-to-lovers adventure.

Below are two favorite moments among many that really sum up Casey and Nate's relationship journey and sexiness for me:

“You’re going to ruin me for anyone else.”
“Good.”
“No! It’s terrible,” she said jokingly. But she wasn’t entirely joking when she added, softly, “No one will compare to you.”
“Again, that is good.”

And later in the Maldives:

“Mmmm,” she murmured. “We do good make-up sex.”
“We do good every-fucking-time sex,” he said on a soft laugh.
“That too.”

I'll definitely be reading Clay and Julia's 3 books Night After Night, After This Night and One More Night that began this deliciously sexy Seductive Nights series soon. And I'm certainly down for Shannon and Brent's story in Sweet Sinful Nights (Seductive Nights #6) debuting this summer on June 30, 2015.

What a fabulous book! I love Lauren Blakely's writing style and her charismatic characters! These books are so light and fun that you can't help but read them in one sitting. Forbidden Nights was exactly that way for me and I loved every minute! Nate and Casey are the perfect BFFs, teacher/student/lovers and eventual soul mates. Nate was hilarious, "I like everyone. I'm equal opportunity," but also had such a soft and sweet side for Casey that made my heart melt, "It's knowing what matters to her, whether it's her collection of kisses, or the way she likes to be kissed." See, so sweet! This book had me captivated from the second I started it and I literally could not put it down. We also get to see all of the other characters from previous books, which I always love. Looking forward to her next one, Sweet Sinful Nights. It can't come out fast enough for me!

I've followed this series from the very beginning and have enjoyed each and every book. Each story has delivered big in the sexy and seductive department but Nate and Casey's story was the steamiest of them all. Lauren has definitely left the hottest book until last. "Forbidden Nights" was scorching and I am not going to complain one bit, I loved it!

Nate and Casey were just good friends. They were the best of friends, trusting each other the way best friends do. So when Casey asked Nate for some help in the nookie department there was no way that Nate could say no. Especially when Nate had been secretly crushing on Casey for some time. He was finally getting the opportunity that he had always wanted. To be Casey's lover at night but continue to be just good friends by day. Nate could act out all of his desires without ruining their friendship. Sounds like a great idea. Right?

This was the chance to drive her wild with pleasure and know that the next night, next week next month they'd still be in each others lives. This was having your cake and eating it too.

As soon as I reached this part of the story I knew that Casey and Nate were going to drive me crazy and I was absolutely correct. There is nothing that frustrates me more than a couple who a clearly mad about each other but refuse to admit it. It drives me nuts so I knew I was in for an infuriating ride with the couple. Despite being driven slightly crazy, I did enjoy reading about the sexy couple's antics together. The pair were hot. Smokin' hot!

"No one has ever aroused me like like you do."

Once Nate began his sexy lessons with Casey, they were insatiable, finding it impossible to keep their hands of each other. It soon became pretty obvious that the couple were perfect for one other. They not only had amazing sex but they got along so well out of the bedroom. As lines began to blur and the couple became even closer, I wondered who would be the first to realise that there was more to their relationship than just best friends.

"God. Casey. You are my weakness. I can't deny you one fucking thing. You say one word and I give it to you."

I loved Nate and Casey. They were both such fun characters and I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know them so well in this story. Nate did drive me a little mad at times with his refusal to give into his true feelings for Casey but I totally understood the reasons behind his reluctance. After a disastrous marriage that left Nate completely heartbroken and humiliated, he was determined not to travel down the relationship road again. Nate was better off being single, or so he thought. Despite the strong attraction Nate felt for Casey he knew that he couldn't give her what she wanted so he drew himself an invisible line that he could not cross.

He was all wrong for Casey. She wanted love, and tenderness. She wanted commitment and the possibility of forever.

Casey was a sweet but strong woman. She was ready to take on the world in her new role as the new manager of Joy Delivered. Everything was looking good for her apart from her love life. With fears that her independent and confident personality turned men off, she came up with idea of asking Nate to help her give up some control in the bedroom. Casey was desperate to find her Mr Right, she was a hopeless romantic searching for her big love. Her plan was to let Nate teach her some lessons in submission allowing her to be more appealing to men. But in reality, Casey didn't need any lessons to attract a man because Nate was the perfect man for her. Gaaah!! I really wanted to bang their heads together!!!

"You didn't need to let go. You didn't need to figure out how to give up control. You're perfect the way you are."

I loved that I got to catch up with the previous characters from the series. Julia and Clay and Michelle and Jack were all featured in this last book. I loved that Lauren included them all. It gave me the opportunity to see how they were all doing and it reminded of the brilliant characters that I have met in this series. But don't worry if you haven't read the previous books in the series because this one can be read as a standalone.

"I want to be everything to you because you're everything to me."

"Forbidden Nights" was a steamy and swoony story and the perfect way to end a very sexy series. It gets ❤️❤️❤️❤️ from me!

Forbidden Nights was a deliciously hot and very entertaining story! Sometimes when you read erotica the story takes the back seat to all the scorching sex, but Lauren Blakely doesn't follow this line of thinking (thank goodness), the story of Nate and Casey had me instantly invested in these characters (and the sex is Kindle melting hot)! It is no secret that I love a good friends to lovers romance, but once again Lauren Blakely takes a common plot theme and makes it her own in a delicious and addicting way. I had a VERY hard time putting this book down!

Forbidden Nights, while a part of the Seductive Nights series, can be read as a stand alone (I read it this way and had no problems). For some reason I haven't been good keeping up with this series but I will definitely be going back to read the other books in the series soon! Silly me, I had forgotten how AMAZING Lauren Blakey's books are! You are guaranteed to love everything she writes!

Lauren Blakely's writing is easy to get swept up in and in a blink I was done and left craving more! Nate and Casey are a refreshing change to your typical main characters in contemporary romance. I loved that there was no angsty drama, just the perfect amout of tension combined with heat and a bit of romance. Nate and Casey are friends, but Casey needs help learning to let go of her "control issues" in the bedroom and Nate (being the best friend a girl could want) decides he can help Casey learn to "let it all go" with him. Nate was playful, patient and willing to try anything with Casey to help her with her "mission". Casey wasn't a doormat, just the opposite, she was a "go get them" type and scared off many men with her take charge personality. Watching Nate and Casey come together and learn how they bring out the best in each other was a great time (but get some ice water because, whew, things get HOT!)


Lauren Blakely writes one HOT story that proves you can have heat and still have some sweet. If you are looking for a story that has heart, heat and an interesting plot, then Forbidden Nights is for you! Fans of Lauren and the Seductive Nights series will fall in love with Nate and Casey and enjoy the peaks at past characters too. Lauren Blakely is one of my auto-read Authors and her writing NEVER disappoints! I can't wait to see what she comes out with next!

Can Lauren keep writing such great characters in this series? I loved Clay & Julia in Night after Night, Julia became my first girl book crush, Clay was so freaking sexy and the series was so enjoyable, I loved this style from Lauren.

Then, along came Nights with Him, and Jack & Michelle, now, I thought, mmm I am not going to like this, as i didn't really like Michelle, but she completely changed my opinion, didn't knock Julia off her perch, but Jack did become my new dirty filthy favourite Blakely boy.

So I had my favs : Jack and Julia.... so how do you top Jack from Nights with Him and Julia from Night after Night? (Yep, different partners lol.)

You can't.....they are all great characters, I love them all. So going into this I was like, it is going to be good, no it wasn't....

It was PERFECT Lauren. Nate was everything I would pick out of the best bits from all the Blakely men molded into one... Casey was the ideal Blakely woman, and together they were dynamite, flaws and vulnerabilities and all.

Has to be the best for me, I flew through it, loved the chemistry, the writing, the other characters involvement. The sex was HOT, but Nate, oh sweet baby, he is my new Fav Blakely Boy and he is going to take some knocking off that pedestal i have him on.

Lauren Blakely has set quite a standard for men in her Seductive Nights series...Clay, Jack, and even the hints to come of Brent...and she has done it again with Nate Harper.

He's sexy, charming, successful, witty, and totally has the hots for his close friend, Casey Sullivan (who also happens to be the sister of his best friend, Jack). But he would never tell her. He's been burned badly in the past and does not plan on falling in love or being in a relationship again. Due to his trust issues, he knows he can't be the man to give Casey everything she deserves. So he plays the field and never gets emotionally involved.

"When it comes to women, you could say I'm an omnivore...I like everything. I'm equal opportunity."

Casey is a powerful, outspoken alpha female. She runs her company well, but her personal life is not as successful. She and her profession as a sex toy company CEO often intimidate men and her need for control makes men run or want to change her. Her past relationships have scarred her and left her doubting herself. But when a new man shows interest in pursuing her and hints at the fact that he would like be the one in control, Casey has a limited amount of time to try to learn how to not to be so demanding and let go of her need for control.

When Casey wanted something she went after it passionately with everything she had. Ironic that the strategy had worked well at her company, but her approach hadn't gone as swimmingly in her rather dismal personal life. A string of bad relationships trailed behind her. Yup, Laugh it up. She was the Sex Toy Princess who didn't get any action beyond the battery-operated kind.

Nate is Casey's "Best Guy Friend" and one of the few men she completely trusts. They have a good rapport, similar work ethic, and truly enjoy spending time together. So she comes up with a plan that would help teach her to lose control. Little does she know it also allows Nate to act out some of his fantasies about her. Tutoring. No Strings. No commitments. All with the idea of ultimately preparing Casey for future relationships.

"I don't want lessons in seduction. I want lessons in submission."

Anticipation. Pleasure. Submission. Reciprocity. Spontaneity. Exploration...all in a safe environment among friends. It seems like the perfect solution. She needs to learn to let go. He needs to get her out of his system. What could possibly go wrong?

"Your whole body is a playground....For now until you learn to thoroughly give up control, it will be my playground. Isn't that right, Casey?"

Trust, intense chemistry and a sense of adventure lead them to explore each other in very intimate ways. And along the way their needs become more and more apparent. But they are crippled by fears, and lack of trust in their own judgment keeps them stuck in limbo between the friends zone and a real relationship. But in their middle ground they share some scorching hot sexy times. Will Nate's fear of relationships and Casey's need for a HEA ruin any chance of more between them?

He was all wrong for Casey. She wanted love, and tenderness, she wanted commitment and the possibility of forever. Those were notions that had no appeal to him. He'd been there, done that and had the ugly scars to prove it.

I really loved these characters. Nate was the perfect Best Guy Friend who was sweet, understanding, and protective, but he also had a sexy, alpha edge. He had a vulnerable, broken part hidden under his charismatic, successful, playboy exterior. He was confused and conflicted, but he could surely be sexy and swoony too. You could tell how badly he was hurt and how it kept him from wanting to be that vulnerable again, but also how affected he was. He won over my heart. I really fell for Nate and loved his magnetic personality.

Casey was so sassy, strong-willed, and outspoken, but deep down she was insecure and just wanted to be loved for herself. She wanted to be able to have her own opinion and ask for what she wanted and not to have to be some docile version of herself for a man. But her need for a real relationship and insecurities made her more willing to change if she had to in order to find true love. I had a girl crush on Casey. She was such a dynamic heroine. And the fact that she could be so open about sex and toys due to her profession made it even more interesting.

I loved the fact that they were friends first and they had such a strong connection and could truly be themselves together. Their love scenes were hot and their connection was intense. But because they had so much already invested in their friendship, it was definitely a big risk.

Hope was risky, and led to things he didn't believe in. He didn't possess any hope himself, so it made no sense why he'd want her to think in bigger terms that went beyond the here an now.

There were so many fun cameos in this one and each one brought a big smile to face. So many crossovers due to friendships, business relationships and family not only in just the Seductive Nights series but from Lauren's other series as well. We especially got to spend more with Jack (Casey's brother/Nate's best friend) and Michelle (Nights with Him) as they were an integral part of the story line. I might have been most excited to see one of my favorites, Michelle's brother, Davis (Playing With Her Heart). And Nate's sister Kat and her husband Bryan (Caught Up in Us) were featured. But there were plenty more characters around for some visits and special events. It is always so much fun jumping back into the Blakely world and seeing how all of these characters fit together and see some progression in their lives. But it could easily be read as a stand alone story as well.

This installment has a bit different vibe from the other Seductive Nights books since this one is based on friendship first and is not as suspenseful or darkly emotional as its predecessors. But it has the same sexy banter, seduction, steam, and connection that the rest of the series has. I liked the more fun, playful feel of this one. And there were some tender moments that brought a tear to my eye as well. Lauren's writing style flows effortlessly and just sucks me right in and I become part of the story. It was told in both points of view that was so important as these characters struggled with their own fears and emotions, but had such a hard time expressing them,

It was humorous, sweet, heartfelt, and passionate. It had two people who needed to learn to trust, not only in a partner but also in their own judgment. It was an exploration in the bonds of friendship, lust, love, and pushing boundaries while establishing trust. I was completely invested in Nate and Casey's story and loved getting more with the other characters. There was even a little tease for Brent's upcoming Vegas based story Sweet Sinful Nights . I can't wait!

Ahhhhh

I loved this! The audio was perfect and made the book come to life.
I was in tears at the end. Happy tears though and I found once the book was over I sighed and held the book close.

The Joy Delivered Duet is now my favorite books of Lauren’s.

I’m going to set up the story and just know you need to go read it. We have best friends of the opposite gender. She decides that she is too controlling and needs to learn how to let go in the sheets. She asks her best friend to help her.

I’m sure you can imagine how great this one is!
