Clara Whitmore thought her love story ended the night Gilbert died in her arms. But when grief lingers long enough, it becomes something else—something hollow, something hungry.
Now, shadows move where light should be. A symbol etches itself into the walls. And Gilbert... he's not resting.
With a mysterious funeral director watching too closely and an old friend bearing warnings wrapped in silence, Clara is about to uncover a truth darker than death some souls don’t pass on.
They wait.
They remember.
They return.
Step into the haunting world of The Neverdead with this gripping prequel that reveals the night everything changed.
This short Prequel story seems interesting, but is very confusing. Perhaps it will make more sense after reading the actual story along with this, but this didn't inspire me to want to buy it. The characters are misleading and not well established. For example... From what I read in just the first chapter alone, it seems like Gilbert is cheating on his wife and about to leave her. But whatever is really going on with him before he dies is not clarified entirely, so it's easy to misconstrue. This Prequel shouldn't be published separately from the story, and I wouldn't recommend it.
