Blimey! My edition of this book is circa 1997, ah-but a smidgeon away from being two decades out of date, and what folks were worried about back then meant they were living in cornflowered fields of ripening cereal compared to the reality which is 2016. The most informative section was Chapter 2: Why Do We Panic? That 'sudden and excessive feeling of alarm or fear' that we usually associate with panics is clearly reflected in surveys and opinion polls. Polls conducted in the UK and USA suggest that people are anxious about the future and are afraid of a variety of dangers.
Ain't that the troof!
