Anna Goodwin wasn’t supposed to be spending her first vacation in three years alone in a rented house in Michigan’s snowy Upper Peninsula, but thanks to a series of events outside of her control, that’s what’s happening. Or it was, until her solitude is invaded by the one man she never expected to see again—Grant Snow, the Dom who made plans to play with her eighteen months ago, then ghosted her.
Grant is just looking for some rest and home cooking—he didn’t know his mom had rented out her house and fled to sunnier shores. Layering shock on top of surprise, the woman renting it is Anna, the submissive who vanished from the Chicago BDSM club he belongs to last summer before he could make good on the scene they’d planned.
She’s mad because she thinks he ghosted her. He’s mad because she won’t let him explain. What else are they going to do but hate-bang it out on top of the kitchen island?
Sex with Grant was everything Anna had known it would be: exciting, more than a little wild, and wholly satisfying. But it wasn’t a scene, and it’s a scene she craves. After a year and a half, she doesn’t want to wait any longer—and neither does he.
But one scene isn’t nearly enough—for either of them. So they decide that for the next two weeks, while they’re cut off from the rest of the world, they’ll live as Dom and sub. She’ll be under his control, at his beck and call. His.
They can do this without catching feelings. Right?
Hannah has been reading romance novels since she was young enough to have to hide them from her mother, and decided to try her hand at writing one when she realized the book she really wanted to read lived in her head. That was a dozen years and as many manuscripts ago, and there are still more stories to be told.
She lives in the Pacific Northwest with her husband—former Special Forces and an OR nurse who writes fantasy fiction, and acts as In House Expert for his wife on matters pertaining to weapons, tactics, the military, medical conditions and How Dudes Think—and their daughter, who takes after her father.
Hannah loves to hear from readers, and will answer questions here on Goodreads.
This erotic romance book was very kinky, in the most respectful way. The overall plot was enjoyable, towards the end it was a bit confusing and rushed. But, the characters kink dynamic was authentic, consensual and educational. This is a good read for anyone who's looking for a good amount of spice, without too much drama.
Thank you Netgalley and Hannah Murray for the ARC 🫶🏾
This was a good time—definitely fun and kinky, just how I like it. BUT the third person POV kept tripping me up. It pulled me out of the story more than once, and honestly, I think I would’ve been way more into it if it had been in first person.
That being said, everyone needs a Lola in their life. She was such a highlight—funny, bold, and just gave the book a little extra sparkle. I love her sm. Thank you to NetGalley and solitary vice publishing for the arc! ⋆. 𐙚 ˚ pre read ⋆. 𐙚 ˚ Picked this up last night but ended up crashing before I could get far.
ARC I couldn't get into it fully since it was in 3rd pov and when it comes to romances or spicy novellas I prefer 1st pov, it makes me get into it more and more believable to me.
Anna (FMC) went on 2 week vacation and at this rental house, her family was supposed to be there, but there was a change of plans, so she was by her self or, so she thought. Until Grant Snow (MMC) turns up early for thanksgiving to suprise is mother, but ends up being surprised with the women he was supposed to go on a date with after meeting at the BDSM club.
I liked their d/s dynamic and found the fmc bratty in the best ways and mmc sometimes a bit too rash and I didn't feel a lot of soft moments with them. I think it was represented really well and the kinks thought our with care.
The Insta love at the end felt out of no where because they don't even know anything about eachother than what kinks they like, not even their favourite food or colour. I don't think they even know eachother moms names. I didn't feel anything other than attraction and I think they would've suited better just keeping the d/s dynamic and not getting into an actual relationship.
wow, i did not expect to like this. it was in 3rd pov which i usually hate but something about this book made me like it. was spice the plot, fuck yes, but im not complaining. i loved our characters relationship. and this book had me GIGGLING. i love how the book started too. now for the badish bits. after 3-4 weeks of knowing each other they move in?? like thats early as fuck. and the misscomunication?!?!?!? ARG they both liked each other but didnt tell each other. it pissed me off sooo much.
Thankyou netgalley for providing me with this SRC in exchange for my honest review!!!🫶🏻
What a time to be alive!!!! Sometimes all you need is a fun, kinky book to get you out of a slump!!
Honestly this book completely surprised me. I didn’t really know what to expect when I started reading this other than the fact that it was a snowed-in/forced proximity plot line. Those kinds of stories are my absolute favourite, so I was excited to read this. And it honestly was even better than I could’ve imagined. If I had to describe the vibes of this book, it would be if 50 Shades of Grey took place in a snowed-in cabin!!! So if that’s your cup of tea, you’ll love it.
When Anna’s family bails on her family vacation and Grant doesn’t realize his family cabin has been rented, these two decide to make the most of their two week stays, especially when they have an intense connection and an unexpected link in their past.
Since this was an erotica book, there were lots of spicy scenes, as expected. However, I think they were very well written and well-conceived to fit the storyline and the characters. I think the BDSM topics of the book were extremely well written. There was lots of communication between Anna and Grant and a whole spectrum of kinks that were discussed and covered, which I loved. The scenes were also very hot and Grant and Anna had such great chemistry.
I surprisingly enjoyed the plot of this book as well. I really loved Anna’s best friend and I hope she gets a story, in particular with a certain club owner. I would read that IN A HEARTBEAT!!
Anyways, this was an unexpected surprise in a book and I enjoyed every second. It was an easy and quick read.
The start of this book was great, but it got a little rough because at some point, one of the main characters was having a phone call with a side character about something the side character shouldn't know by then. I got the sense that the author got that call mixed up with another one between two other characters. It took me out of the story, and I almost DNF'd by then because I didn't always love the way they spoke about one another either, but I decided to stick it out and ended up having a fun time. I loved the discussions around kink and consent and feel like they were handled in a way that was both graceful and realistic. That was by far my favorite aspect of this book and something I greatly appreciate, as I tend to think BDSM is a subject that authors have a huge tendency to handle in what I find to be incredibly problematic ways. Obviously, the romance moves incredibly fast, but for an erotica boo,k that's to be expected and didn't bother me that much. Good read, overall.
Thank you, Netgally and Solitary Vice Publishing, for the ARC.
Wow just wow!!! I really enjoyed this book I only say it down to sleep and work and then picked it right back up finishing it in 2 days. I think It would have been just as good if it was written in first point of view vs 3rd maybe a little better.
I was hooked from the beginning for sure. At first I thought what was the trigger warning for but I soon found out.
This is by far the best ARC book I have read and I’m so thankful I got the opportunity to read it early for my honest review
A decent read. I'm not usually in BDSM waters, but I like to break my genres from time to time. This one was a good read, but maybe the fact that I'm not into BDSM books a lot was the reason I didn't feel connected to the book at times, especially when the MCS decided to make their whole vacation a scene. The spicy scenes were hot, but I wish I had a more emotional connection between them. 3 stars.
ARC was provided via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Even when the particular kink isn’t for me, Hannah Murray’s erotic romances are so well done in terms of the research she does to make them authentic and the level of consent. I really enjoyed this book and am eagerly awaiting the rest of the series, especially firecracker Lola’s book. The sex was deliciously hot and filthy, and the romance was no angst and mostly just all vibes.
Thank you to Netgalley, Hannah Murray, and Solitary Vice Publishing are an advanced copy of Snow Bound in exchange for an honest review.
What I appreciate about Murray is that she does not just write smut or kink. She depicts the consent and agreements within the kink community (if done right) and the negotiations of a scene. It's educational and also a reminder that that there is a right way to do kink and a wrong way that might cause trauma. I liked Snow Bound because it depicted Anna confronting her existing traumas within a scene and Grant recognizing that. I am intrigued by the psychology of kink and so Snow Bound was a good read. Yes, it's steamy and I love 10/10 spice but it was more than that. The kink scenes did feel a little long but I think that was due to Murray trying to set the intention of the scene and explaining the non-sexy parts of kink (odd thing to say), which are necessary to establish safety and trust.
BDSM readers will love this book. I like the book cover. the story was OK. I didn't feel that connected to the characters. There was something missing. The book has a lot of steam from the get-go. It was still enjoyable.
(ARC Review) I did not expect this to be as good as it was. Anna ends up spending her two-week vacation alone in a rental house after her family ditches her. Grant shows up, completely unaware his mom rented out the place finding Anna in the house. But it’s actually not their first time meeting. After a chat (and some mutual vibes), they decide to spend the two weeks together in a D/s relationship.
This was such a fun, light read with solid banter and very satisfying spice. Really nice seeing a healthy D/s dynamic for once—no toxic alpha a-holes or broken, voiceless heroines. Just two consenting adults having a good time. It felt a little bit rushed towards the end with how quickly their feelings progressed in only two weeks.
That said, it does need a bit of editing. The POV shifts mid-chapter caught me off guard more than once, so some cleanup before publishing would definitely help.
Also, I wish Anna’s relationship with her mother had either been left out entirely or explored deeper—it felt like a heavy topic that didn’t get enough page time in such a short book.
Overall? 3.5 stars. Enjoyable, steamy, and refreshing in the way it handled kink and communication.
Thank you NetGalley for this ebook in exchange for an honest review.
Short and sweet. Maybe too short. I know this is probably not the book where you want a background story, but I did. We knew nothing at all about Grant and barely anything about Anna, just that she has issues with her mother which was spoken about at the beginning and then ever again. It would have been nice to dive deeper into this as I felt the characters didnt have much depth, which made me indifferent towards them and this did not help in appreciating the story. Everything started too fast for me, which is probably because the book is so short but I wish things had happened slower.
This is the second book I've read by Hannah Murray and was a change of pace from the romantic suspense and PNR books I've been reading lately.
There were several scenes in this book that had me laughing and any book that has a dog gets bonus points from me. The book was more spice than plot, which I expected based on the blurb, and it lived up to that expectation. I still would have liked a bit more character development, but what was enough to tell the story.
Spoilers -
Overall, the book allowed me to escape reality for a while and I'm sure I'll read other books by this author in the future.
Thank you, Solitary Vice Publishing, for providing this book for review consideration via NetGalley. All thoughts and options are my own.
I’m so sorry but I didn’t enjoy this book as much as I thought I would, the smut was decent not complaining but I feel like with Anna having past trauma for such a short book mainly focused around smut such themes shouldn’t be delved into.
When going into darker themes especially with emotional issues, these need to be addressed more but obviously it’s a short quick read so it’s quite difficult to explain deeper more complex themes.
This would be great for a short quick read for those who are in reading slumps since there’s not much to actually read and isn’t too complicated. However, I would’ve preferred for a slower pace of the story or that might just be my personal preference.
Overall didn’t enjoy this book, felt draining to read but liked Anna and Grants chemistry and would definitely be up to reading more books by Hannah.
Book Review: Snow Bound (Odyssey, Book 1) by Hannah Murray
Snow Bound is a gripping and atmospheric debut that blends survivalist tension with deep emotional resonance. Hannah Murray crafts a tale of isolation, resilience, and the unyielding power of nature, set against a stark winter landscape that feels both beautiful and treacherous. The novel’s tight pacing and vivid prose make it a standout in the survival fiction genre, while its introspective protagonist adds layers of psychological depth.
Premise & Themes The story follows a lone traveler stranded in a remote, snowbound wilderness after a brutal blizzard derails their journey. Cut off from civilization, the protagonist must confront not only the lethal cold and dwindling supplies but also the ghosts of their past—regrets, losses, and unresolved wounds that surface in the crushing silence. Murray explores themes of self-reliance, human fragility, and the transformative power of solitude, weaving in subtle mythological undertones (nodding to its Odyssey title) without overt allegory.
Execution & Pacing Murray’s writing is crisp and immersive, with a relentless pace that mirrors the protagonist’s fight against time. Flashbacks are deftly interwoven, revealing the character’s backstory without disrupting the urgency of the present crisis. The tension builds steadily, culminating in a climax that is as emotionally charged as it is physically perilous. Some readers might crave more expansive worldbuilding beyond the immediate survival struggle, but the narrow focus heightens the novel’s intensity.
Setting & Atmosphere The frozen wilderness is rendered with breathtaking precision—every gust of wind, every creak of ice, and every desperate footprint feels visceral. The setting becomes a character in its own right, both antagonist and mirror to the protagonist’s inner turmoil. Fans of The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah or The Terror by Dan Simmons will appreciate the chilling authenticity of Murray’s winter wasteland.
Character Depth The protagonist is compellingly flawed, their vulnerability balanced by moments of fierce determination. Though secondary characters are minimal (by design), their absence amplifies the emotional weight of the protagonist’s solitude. Murray avoids melodrama, instead crafting quiet, introspective moments that resonate deeply.
Score Breakdown (Out of 5) -Concept: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4/5) – A fresh take on survival fiction with psychological depth. -Pacing: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) – Propulsive yet balanced with reflective pauses. -Atmosphere: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) – The winter setting is hauntingly vivid. -Characterization: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4/5) – Protagonist shines; side characters are sparse but purposeful. -Emotional Impact: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4/5) – Leaves a lingering chill of catharsis. Overall: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4.5/5) – Snow Bound is a standout survival story that transcends its genre, offering both pulse-pounding tension and poignant introspection. Hannah Murray announces herself as a writer to watch.
Who Should Read It? -Fans of survival fiction or wilderness thrillers. -Readers who enjoy character-driven stories with lyrical prose. -Those drawn to themes of isolation and redemption.
Who Might Not Love It? -Readers who prefer ensemble casts or sprawling narratives. -Those seeking heavy action or supernatural elements.
Acknowledgments: Thank you to NetGalley and Hannah Murray for providing an advance review copy of Snow Bound (Odyssey, Book 1) in exchange for an honest review.
I didn’t know what to expect going into this book as this is a new-to-me author. I requested it as an ARC from NetGalley because it sounded heavy into BDSM and that it takes place in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. A majority of my family is from Michigan and I have visited the Upper twice, so I definitely felt drawn to this book. And having that setting, loving books with BDSM, and seeing that gorgeous cover, made me automatically request this book.
Thank you to NetGalley and Hannah Murray for the privilege of reading this book. I am so grateful that they granted me my request because I LOVED this book!!!!!! I fell in love with the main characters, their chemistry, and their banter. But, what rounded out this book (for me) and pushed it to all the stars were the secondary characters. I NEED to know about their stories! I want them to find their HEA’s! I will absolutely be continuing with this series and read Ms. Murray’s back list when I have a chance.
Anna Goodwin and Grant Snow are the stars of this book. Anna rents a house on the Upper Peninsula of Michigan for her and her mom and step-sisters to spend two weeks together for vacation to celebrate a birthday. Only, Anna’s mom decided to take her kids somewhere else, and Grant shows up to his mom’s house for a surprise visit. You guessed it- they are now at the same house. And after Grant gets the shock of his life (I’m not going to spoil it) you have to read it. There meeting scene is absolutely hilarious (and then hot). The crazy thing is Anna and Grant know each other (again, I’m not going to spoil it). They come to an arrangement where they’re going to stay at the house and also experiment. It starts with one scene and progresses from there.
I loved the humor that all these characters had (including Michael, Simon, and Lola). But, most importantly I was SO HAPPY to see how Anna and Grant’s BDSM relationship was shown. There was a lot of communication of likes/dislikes, safety- including (but not limited to) the D checking in with his s), and the aftercare. This book portrayed a careful and caring D/s relationship accurately and that- without everything else- was worth it’s weight in gold. If you love to see a good BDSM relationship, love erotica, but also want humor and heart in your characters, I beg you to give this book a try. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. I don’t know when the next book in this series is being released, but I cannot wait!! And I’m SUPER curious as to which couple it will focus on next.
First Impressions: I was scrolling through NetGalley’s new releases catalog when I saw this cover and the title. Immediately I got an idea what the book might be about even before checking the genre or the synopsis, which is an absolute win. Steamy scenes in a snowy coming sounded right up my alley. Reading the synopsis, I thought this ticks all my boxes so I decided to put a request.
You best believe when I saw I was granted early access I was so giddy and excited to check it out that I opened it immediately
Story: The content and the main story is simple and I believe it works in the context and the parameters set. The whole book pretty much develops in this cabin/villa in snowy Michigan and I absolutely loved it. I did feel like the reason why they did know each other was believable and all the BDSM exploration and trust felt natural.
Steamy Scenes: This book was the perfect palette cleanser and the one to take you out of a reading slump. Everyone usually have different taste in genres but this book was the perfect pace and build up steamy scenes that I could ask for. They really made me flick through the pages as i wanted to see how it will develop further. I feel like there was a natural development in the scenes they did and also I really enjoyed how much Grant was caring for Anna. I believe BDSM was portrayed very respectfully and enjoyed every second of it.
I felt the end was a bit too fast in terms of saying “I love you” after only 2 weeks of generally knowing each other, but ow hey there are some loves from first sight out there. I believe if it ended them saying that they wish to try to date/be together outside the bubble would have been more believable. Also Anna disappearing at the end did not make sense especially if she did not plan to ghost him and told him where she is. That is the only reason why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. And there was some conversations in the beginning between their friends where I am not sure how for example Lola knew they had a steamy scene on the kitchen counter when she did not discuss this with Anna prior.
Summary: Really happy to have stumbled upon this ARC and story. I definitely want to buy the book and will follow this author in the future. If you love easy erotic romances where you don’t have to think much about the plot this is the right story for you. Really nicely surprised and I had Ana amazing time with Anna and Grant.
~ Second chance romance with a bit of kink ~ Not everyone’s cup of tea but a great escape for me today ~
What I liked: * Anna Goodwin: accountant, hoped for a family vacation, often let down by her mother, accountant, was a member at Odyssey Club but left when Grant ghosted her, has trust issues, attracted to Grant, perfect for and with Grant * Grant Snow: employed by Hastings Security Company, travels for his job, Dom, member at Odyssey Club, strong, caring, attracted to Anna, good for and with Anna * The supporting characters that I hope to see again: Anna’s friend Lola (Lawyer) and Grant’s friends - Michael (owns Odyssey Club), Simon (owns Hastings Security), and Zach (employed by Hastings Security) * The plot, pacing, setting, and writing – steamy with some trigger warnings but perfect for this story * That Grant was responsible, communicated clearly, was careful and caring, and was there for Anna * That the friends of both main characters were there for them when and if needed * That emotions became involved even though Grant & Anna were not expecting it * Wondering what it would be like to be in a s/D relationship…did give me food for thought… * All of it really except…
What I didn’t like: * Anna’s mother who was distant, selfish, and put herself first * Having to wait for the next book and wondering who will find their mate next
Did I like this book? Yes Would I read more in this series? Yes
Thank you to the author for the ARC – This is my honest review
It was vacation time for Anna Goodwin and her family but at the last minute her mother and sister backed out…as usual. They had rented a house in Michigan for two weeks and Anna had already arrived before her mother backed out. Anna decided to stay at the house and enjoy 2 weeks of solitude. Grant Snow did not know his mother had rented the house. He arrived expecting to find his mother there along with her list of things that needed to be done. Instead, he and his dog quietly walk in on a barely dressed Anna. He realized Anna was the submissive from the Chicago BDSM club. They had planned a scene last summer, but he couldn’t be there and did not contact her to cancel. She was upset thinking he ghosted her. He was upset because she didn’t want to listen to his excuses. They ended up going at it on top of the kitchen island. Grant was a Dom and sex with him was even better than she expected. It was exciting, wild and so satisfying. They decide to spend the next two weeks enjoying each other’s body. They decided on a 24/7 relationship for the next two weeks. It was obvious from the beginning they were meant for each other. Unfortunately, this type of book is rarely well written. Kudos to Hannah Murray, she has talent and knows how to write. I enjoyed the characters. Where is my Grant! Thank you NetGalley for the ARC.
This spicy BDSM novel is a good, quick palate cleanser and exactly what I needed right now. Anna and Grant have great chemistry and outside of the spicy scenes, their banter is hilarious. I also found the interactions with the side characters really entertaining and the perfect set up for upcoming books in this series that I’m sure will happen.
One little itch that wasn’t scratched; Anna clearly has some emotional issues that are connected to the relationship with her mom and that never gets any closure. I get that this book is basically all smut, so why bring in a potentially deeper topic if that’s not going to be fully explored and eventually resolved? The book basically ends with Anna and Grant promising to talk about it together and that’s it. We don’t get to see him help her resolve those deep seated issues or her confronting her mom at all. Seems like both a wasted opportunity and a waste of time.
Overall I enjoyed this and I think I’ll explore some other works from this author!
Thank you NetGalley and Solitary Vice Publishing for the complementary ARC in exchange for my honest review.
There's nothing better for a palate cleanser than a quick, easy smutty read! This is a really good spicy read for my darker, smutty book lovers. Anna is the fmc with a trauma-based past she's sassy, submissive, yet can be a brat. For two weeks, she's left in a winter retreat as her family bailed on her. Enter Grant, the mmc whose family's house Anna is staying in. Grant is a hot ( HE HAS DIMPLES) dominant mmc who likes what he likes.
One of my highlights for this book (other than the hot spicy scenes) is how the author displayed what healthy kinks look like. Many readers like me, read smutty books because it helps us dive into taboo topics that we may not have known before (kinks, dom/sub etc.) Being able to convey a type of kink and what it SHOULD look and feel like is so important as readers then know what it should be if they choose to try to do something new in their own lives. (wink wink)
Read if you like: -SPICE SPICE BABYYY -A sassy, submissive fmc -A hot dominant mmc -Forced proximity
If you are looking for romantic erotica, this book will deliver on the promise of the genre.
The romantic relationship here blooms through their various interactions in the cabin over two weeks. At one point she thinks “But she needed more. More pain, more pleasure. More Grant.” The relationship is nurtured in the nuance. Anyone reading this and thinking it’s insta-love at the end, wasn’t paying attention. Come read this book for characters who figure out how to express themselves physically well before they find the words.
But the author knows how to use her words sparingly. I love a tightly written book. In the beginning of the book there is a series of phone calls that helps establish personalities and gives background information. At one point it could have gotten repetitive but the author chooses to simply indicate “he filled him in” to avoid a common writing trap of repeating the same thing over and over again.
Don’t let the title fool you, there is no reason to wait for colder weather for this book. It’s hot all the way through.
I needed a quick spicy palate cleanse and this book definitely served it up! Thanks to NetGalley, the author and the publisher for the ARC. All opinions are my own.
Anna is on her own for 2 weeks in an isolated winter retreat after her family bails on a planned vacation. Grant is just looking for some downtime at his mother’s home, not realizing she’s left town and rented it out. These two have a brief mixed-signals past. Anna might be mad, but she gets over it really fast.
This is erotica, so expect the doors to be wide open with multiple spicy scenes. What you might not expect is how well-written those scenes are as they describe the physical and emotional and the drop into sub space. The author’s attention to consent and safety is so appreciated. This isn’t just smut for smut’s sake.
Especially loved the side characters! Fingers crossed Lola is getting her own (hopefully from Michael and Simon, because yes. Yes!)
I was lucky to read an advance copy, thank you Net Galley. Everyone needs a friend like Lola. Lola where are you and can we be friends. Whoa! Is all I can say. Snow bound is 90% smut and 10% storyline. I wish we knew more about Anna’s family and what happened. Anna is left to spend time alone in a rental where she was lucky enough to have a nice unintended guest, Grant. After a painful first day for Grant they agreed to have some kinky fun for 2 weeks. I won’t spoil what happened during the 2 weeks, so just get ready. At the end Anna has a panic attack and leaves before their 2 week stay. Thankfully her best friend Lola is there to save the day. (Yes I will give her all credit, he he, he). They work things out and they live happily ever after. I gave it a 3 out of 5 because while the smut was wild I felt like it was missing a lot of the story line and found the last chapters the most exciting. Congrats Hannah on your new book!
Well this book was definitely fun! There was an enjoyable amount of plot, even if it did feel rushed at points. The kink dynamic felt very well written and thought out. This honestly would be a good book for people wanting to start reading BDSM romance tropes to show a healthy line of consensual and proper communication dynamics. ( I know this isn’t an educational book, but hey it works! Lol) Like others have said. The 3rd POV definitely pulled me out a bit… I would have preferred 1st POV to let my brain connect with it a little more. I was giggling, blushing and dang near sweating through most of this book but the ending is what really hurt my rating. The instant love at the end felt so rushed. But over all I did enjoy this story!
Thank you Netgalley and Solitary Vice publishing, for providing me with an ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review. All thoughts are my own and are in no way influenced by early access to this title.
What a blast! Fast paced and full of all the shenanigans right from the get go.
The main characters are fun - a bratty FMC and a dominant MMC that knows how to handle her.
The side characters that make appearances are great - I hope we see more of them in this series.
I read this real quick too - it's not chunky, there's not too much waiting around or excess of anything, we're just down to business and getting jobs done 😉
It's a romance but weighs heavy with sexy time content and a very specific type of that kind of content. The writing of all the play scenes is great - it doesn't seem to go overboard and we get enough in-between that the romance that builds between Grant and Anna seems believable.
What a start to a series!
Thanks to NetGally and Solitary Vice publishing for the review copy of this book :)
