Another amazing story!!! I am really excited to start reading the third book as soon as I get it. If there was one thing I didn't like about the second book was that Falcon seemed a little more childish than in the first book, and he seemed to get angry a lot more often. All in all, it was still an amazing read that I finished in one day. I really hope Falcon ends up with Aya, but I guess I will find out soon enough.
Well, the sequel was no let down. It was great and flowed well from beginning to end.
I found Keira to be a great addition to the Element Wielder family. She's so sassy and strong, and seeing her go toe to toe with Aya was a joy to experience. Two very strong female characters matched in a battle of wits. I loved every second of reading this book, so will you.
Kept me reading and unable to put it down. I was on the edge of my seat for the action and motions ran rampant. The losses were sad sad doses of reality coupled with fantastic gains as well. I can't wait to read the third and final book.
And here I am, bitter that I let my curiosity get the best of me. I mean, I should have stopped on book one, for nothing has changed. The writing is still bland as a raw potato, (try biting one, you'll know what I mean). I continued to read, because like some, I have a tendency to push through impossible obstacles. I know, I'm harsh, but come one, a love triangle. Worst yet, I don't see why there is a triangle, to begin with. Falcom is an arsehole. Why anyone would want to help him is beyond me, nonetheless, love him. I think this was some fantasy that was being fulfilled in this book. I mean, A princess, a warrior, and a fucking Holy wielder come one. Falcon is an arse hole at best, a hot-tempered, idiotic moron at worst. Why anyone would find that attractive is beyond me. Falcon, continues to be the same dull character from before, he's made zero progress. He is a weak, wielder and has no redeeming qualities. Everyone around him can see he is the world. Really? All I see is a spoiled boy who wants respect and throws a tantrum when he doesn't get it. Please! Aya, there is no reason for her to like him. He acted like an arse since he met her, but then she's like totally in love with him. Talk about pointless romance. Then there is Faith, lets not focus to much on the name, I know, I know, but lets move past it. Faith new Falcon since they were little, right? Like when she was four years old, and then she leaves her family behind, to follow a boy she only knew for four yEAR, AND THIS IS COUNTING WHEN SHE WAS A BABY, LIKE RIGHT OUT OF THE WOMB. He can't make up his mind between his friend from puberty or his friend from childhood. I saw nothing in Aya; I don't get it. I disliked this book with a passion, but I have to see it to the end, and I have, I've read the last book and found it just as pointless as this one.
I had high hopes for that second book, i was really looking forward to that, but the story felt like pointless, no goal or end, falcon went out to warn someone instead he found himself doing nothing in the middle of nowhere... I really don’t know if I should read the book 3
Falcon wanted to be able to control his elemental powers and protect Faith from Shal Valeshok. But he learned from his new teacher that with the help of a holy wielder he will be able to control and master his element. So he practiced everyday with Faith (the holy wielder) until he became stronger and stronger. Then he got to realize that his city was under attack so he went to help.
Next book hasn't come out yet, so there is no ending.
The three themes are: Determination, Brave, surprising.
I liked this book a lot. There were a few typos and Grandmaster Zoen was referred to as K'ran at one point, but a good plot. Personally, I think I may have enjoyed it better if Falcon, Faith, Aya and Sheridan stuck together rather than separating to do different things, as they seem to kick more ass together as a team.
