I Live on Fruit

Rate this book
First published in paperback format by Dr. T. C. Fry in 1981, this classic tells of the experiences and research work of two 20-year fruitarians who co-led the world in fruitarian diet education. Ms. Honiball originally authored several versions of a similar book with the same title in her native country of South Africa. This e-book contains additional writings by Dr. Fry’s disciple, Dr. David Klein on fruitarian mastery. It presents proof that the fruitarian diet is not only nutritionally adequate in every respect, but is actually superior to any and all other diets humans may eat! Humans are fruitarians--our most important food is sweet fruit. There is no other diet to teach, learn about and master if we are to fulfill our ultimate potential and live up to our lofty biological heritage. Live as the fruitarian that you are! Herein are the scientific facts, the empirical evidence, the fine points and the inspiration.

An old-school book about living on fruit! It was a charming read - I liked reading Essie's experiences, and another view on the diet - I don't agree with all of the things in this book (like the lack of greens) but most of it still rings true - also the amount of nuts was too much in my opinion.

[firsr read] My god, I would rate this wee book with 20 stars, easily ⭐️ This is a short book but I consider it the bible of fruitarianism. You will find on it great testimonial and scientific and biological foundation about the fruitarian world. It is a MUST read.

[second read] I had to read this book again to have some source of motivation and it did a great work. I love this book so much!

A concise, albeit detailed enough, personal account on why and how Essie Honiball decided to embark into a challenging yet rewarding journey that has eventually set her free from the heaviest burdens on her health.
A must read for all those who are inclined to adopt this nutritional approach, this books clarifies the misconception that this lifestyle must be easy otherwise it doesn't work and at the same time a big encouragement to those facing tough times during the conversion process from traditional dietary habits.
