COME BACK TO ME is a complete standalone romantic suspense featuring a grumpy veteran hero and a sunshine quirky musician heroine with plenty of groveling!
Tee
I hate Butch because he let me go. Except I also love him because I imagined forever with him (even just as friends). So, basically, it sucks to be me. When my nonna tells me the only way to get over someone is to get under someone else, in strolls Cody Korhonen—my BFF’s brother-in-law. Roommate. Town marshal. All-round good (delicious) guy. Getting under him may be easy, but staying under him might cost us everything.
Cody
I fell in love with my pen pal, T. An initial on a piece of paper that kept me sane while I was deployed. To her, I was ‘Butch.’ My call sign. And with anonymity came safety—we opened our souls to one another. But war broke me and I loved her enough to let her go. Life had other plans. When I return home, I find my sister-in-law’s best friend is the woman I fell in love with. And she just moved in. Our small town is too small for the both of us, never mind having to share a roof when this secret is driving me crazy...
International Best Selling Author G. A. Mazurke is the crazy lady behind Serena Akeroyd, crafter of smexy heroes you just wanna lick. While Serena has us expecting dark romance with lots of twists and turns … G. A. is her more mainstream/contemporary personality.
She explores her sweeter side while keeping the sexy we love, where the women fall hard but the men fall harder.
Some of G. A.’s books will cross over into Serena’s universes… so expect a cameo or two from beloved characters, while discovering new bands of brothers, with the banter, the laughs and the tears you are used to.
We go back to the 7Cs and get some answers about a storyline that began in book one. I remember being so engrossed in discovering what happened between Colt & Tee. Now we get the deep dive into how they became Pen Pals, fell for each other, and then Colt broke her heart, before they ever met.
Tee is a spitfire and she has no filter. But she does have a sensitive heart so I wondered how Colt was going to explain himself and win her back over. Chances are high that he will be successful, but she doesn't let him off easy by any means!
I really do love the family in this series and they feel so alive in many ways. I think that is a real strength for this author. I also think that the chemistry between the characters is very well done.
However, this book was 200 pages too long. This was 623 pages and I was skimming the heck out of it. I was hooked in the beginning but as the couple got past their roadblocks, the secondary story took over and it was a HUGE bit of this book. I didn't care for it for the most part, which left me feeling bored and led to skimming. Even the excellent audio performance couldn't compensate for that completely.
I'm unsure if I want to read the next one, as this couple was the only other one I was interested in. BUT, we'll see how I feel when the next release is imminent. I still liked it more than not, but that length was a downer.
Narrated by Connor Crais & Stella Hunter in dual format. They are always great when paired together.
4 Stars 4 on the spice scale
CW: Violence, soldier injury, death, gang violence, drug dealing to minors
*Thank you to Must Love Audio and the author for an ALC of this title.*
I've been so excited for what was next in 7Cs and omggg was it worth the wait. Cody and Tee are just freaking everything and I loved them so much.
I feel blessed by the book gods because secret pen pals isn't a super common trope but it's one of my favorites and this is my second time accidentally reading it this week. This one is particularly fun given they knew each other prior to writing and Tee didn't know it was Cody until she was told and even he didn't know for a while. I love how Gemma sprinkled in their old and new letters throughout the story too, she's always so great at adding in exchanges into her stories.
While I still consider this contemporary romance, it does have a touch of darkness that I really enjoyed. We get to hear about some of our Sinners friends from her Serena books, which is always a treat. And it has me wondering if they're expanding into Canada to help contain the Wolves 👀
The audio was an absolute treat. Stella Hunter and Connor Crais were phenomenal and I loved this listen so so much.
Got to 51% I just couldn’t carry on with it. It was all over the place. I felt like I wasn’t following the book very well. Im really baffled to be honest. I anticipated the release of this too, as I’ve loved a lot of the other books.
Come Back to Me is the long awaited second book in the 7C's series by GA Mazurke and she didn't let us down! This was a very emotional read that was beautifully written with a dash of suspense. I loved Tee and her quirkiness and felt she was super relatable ❤. If you're a fan of small town romances with tons of angst, you definitely want to check out this series!
Back to Pigeon Creek and the 7c's ranch. Tee has been invited by her best friend in the world Zee and her boyfriend Colt to stay at the ranch until she can figure out her life. Colts brothers Callan and Cody are also there. Cody is retired from the Canadian army he was a pilot and he saw some terrible things. Cody was injured and it wasn’t pretty, but now he is back at the ranch. Tee and Cody both have tons of baggage. Tee is very creative and her personality is big and loud and amazing! The best part of Tee is she refuses to make herself smaller to fit in. Tee just continues to be her crazy over the top self and ends up finding her soul mate. A man who wants nothing more but her big, loud amazing self! So many beautiful scenes and witty banter! A joyous read!
Wow! Can I rate it more than 5 stars? This book is so utterly fantastic! I absolutely loved Cody and Tee. Tee kept me laughing with her and Callan’s antics. She and Cody were just perfect for each other. Cody was everything in this book. This book will just suck you right in and keep you on your toes. I absolutely can’t wait for another book!!
I had to give myself a little time before I was able to write this review. I just want to say a HUGE thank you to G.A. Mazurke for the ARC of Come Back to Me. I've been obsessed with this author's books for a while and had been eagerly awaiting this release.
Let me just start by saying Tee and Cody are perfect for each other. The rainbow of emotions G. A. Mazurke was able to make me feel while reading this beautiful love story. I sighed, laughed, cried, swooned and cursed lots while reading it. I cannot stress enough the building she does in all of her novels, not only the world building but the character building. Her characters are always ones you cannot help but fall in love with and you want them in your corner no matter the situation.
Tee might seem like chaos with how often her thoughts jump back and forth due to her ADHD. The laughs I had reading her innermost thoughts. They may seem chaotic but if one can follow the quick change in her thoughts like a bouncing ball they ended up being pretty simplistic. The way she represents the neurodiverse population in not only this book but some of her others is absolutely the way they need to be represented.
In comes Cody- the perfect man to tame the chaotic soul that is Tee. He is able to relate to how her brain processes events and stimuli and give her an outlet at times. He doesn't try to put her in a corner, he allows her to be herself and express herself in the way she needs to.
What started out as a pen pal friendship ended turning up into something more, something that wasn't expected at first- especially after the Dear John letter Tee received.
When it is discovered who they are to each other, Cody does what is necessary to humble himself and grovel to show Tee that he was the man for her. Through their relationship, each of them are able to work through their demons together.
I can write a long review spouting the love I have for this book, but to truly experience it for yourself this is a book you need to read for yourself.
I loved this book so much!! I can’t wait for the next installment of the series and to see where all the characters go. This book is only Dual POV but it has me obsessed with every side character and story line. It’s fantastic!!

If Top Gun had a soulful, small-town, slow-burn lovechild with deep emotional layers and just the right amount of sass and sweetness, it would be Come Back to Me by G.A. Mazurke.
From the very first page, I was hooked by the intimacy of the letters between Cody and Tee—two strangers who find solace in words during one of the darkest periods of Cody’s life. Their bond, built through anonymous letters while Cody was deployed, is raw, honest, and profoundly moving. It’s a beautiful reminder of how love can blossom not through grand gestures, but through vulnerability and connection.
Cody, a broken veteran turned town marshal, carries the weight of war and regret like a second skin. His journey from letting Tee go to discovering her as his sister-in-law’s best friend—now his roommate—is filled with tension, longing, and the kind of delicious torment only the best grumpy-sunshine romances deliver. And knowing Cody flew the same aircraft from Top Gun? That just elevated his character for me tenfold. I felt like I was right there with him in the cockpit—fearless, wounded, and fighting to come home in every sense of the word.
Then there’s Tee. Oh, Tee. She’s quirky, endearing, chaotic in the most beautiful way, and achingly real. A musician with a soft heart and a stubborn streak, she radiates a kind of eccentric charm that hides a deeper loneliness. Her character felt like a love letter to everyone who’s ever felt misunderstood—even by those who love them. G.A. Mazurke captured that nuance perfectly. Tee is messy, loud, awkward, and absolutely unforgettable.
Their dynamic? Electric. From fake undating to slow-building trust and that soul-punch of hurt/comfort, it’s impossible not to root for them. There’s angst, there’s grovel (yes, Cody—you better), and there’s a love story that doesn’t just tug at your heartstrings—it yanks them with every word.
I also loved the sense of community, the subtle suspense, and the emotional weight of healing after trauma. It’s not just a romance—it’s about finding your way back to yourself, and letting someone walk beside you when you do.
Come Back to Me is a beautifully crafted story full of heart, humor, and hope. It’s for the quiet romantics who believe in second chances, the damaged hearts who dream of being truly seen, and for anyone who knows the power of a letter signed only with love. I laughed, I teared up, I swooned—and I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who needs a reminder that love can find you, even when you’re at your most broken.
🎧 review Stella Hunter and Connor Crais were perfectly cast as Tee and Cody. They brought so much depth and feeling to the characters. This was a fantastic listening experience from start to finish.
📚 A blazing ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I was totally swept away by this beautiful, emotional, and oft poignant return to Pigeon Creek.
Cody - well you melted my heart - always so stoic, caring and hiding your suffering behind an impenetrable wall. You felt that no-one would understand, and you didn't want to bring your form of despair into your loved ones lives. You were hurting, and I was glad that you were able to find your person to calm the storm inside you.
I admired your grovelling skills, as boy did you need to redeem yourself to Tee - and you did it so well.
Tee, you are a star. I loved how quirky, loving, and loyal you are. But you do bear a grudge so well and that's pretty neat too! You were always different, a musical genius who showed your passion through your music. You were stifled at Juilliard and decided to return home. You found your soul mate who 'got you' completely.
These two were pen pals for years when Cody was serving his country in the RCAF. They revealed so much of their truths and could be themselves and their deep connection allowed them freedom to divulge complex emotional ideas and feelings freely.
After Cody was seriously injured and medically discharged, and eventually had to return home to heal, he thought there was no option but to set aside his previous life - and wrote his 'Dear John' letter. Two words 'BUTCH CASSIDY' tore his reality apart... and this addictive tale begins.
If you enjoy • Deep character development • Serious topics (PTSD ADHD) handled with empathy and care • Vulnerabilities explored • Epistolary romance • Found family • Humorous lol scenes 😂 and so much more. Then I can guarantee that you will be as hooked on this universe that G.A. is creating for us as I am. My favourite read of the year - hands down.
The book is painful, I'm sure I have whiplash from the going back and forth with the story lines. The story has huge potential but the writing is poor. "Mahoosive", "phat", "fuckboi" and "stahhhp" are not words. "The duh is silent" is ridiculous to have written at all, let alone 3/4 times in one book.
I don't understand how these letters they sent each other could have been that impactful. It might have been useful to have had some back story for each of them (maybe this is in the first book, I don't know and I refuse to read it). Like what was Tee's life like in Juliard? How did Cody manage being a pilot at war? The depths of Cody's mental illness could have been expended on so much. It just lacked in so many areas. Who the fuck is Marcy? Why would Clyde and have killed her?
Don't even get me started on the poor transition to "loving each other". Theres a lack of anticipation between Tee and Cody. Their relationship just isn't that good, there's no built up sexual suspense, it's just a bit average.
The beginning says it could be read as a standalone but it absolutely cannot. Theres so much to the backstory that I didn't understand, and the lack of context throughout it just makes it so much harder to follow. Realistically, I should have stopped reading this one and read the first book, then come back to it. I refused to finish this one and I will not read the first.
If the author had a proper editor, someone to help structure the book in terms of sentencing and paragraphs, that may have improved it slightly. Some sentences didn't even make sense. Randomly 57% of the way through the book there's a part that literally says "E3." What does that even mean? I assume maybe it's musical related but having some description and context to this would have helped.
Really loved Tee, and that she was who she was. She is someone who wasn’t going to let the world shape her or shove her into a box, and that he just loved her, for who she was. It was so simple and, yet, beautiful.
Also, as with any book by this author it was SPICY.
This family! 😍😍😍 Calamity Jane and Butch Cassidy are just perfect. My heart breaks for all these boys, their dad is a vile POS. But Cody especially. His father really did him dirty. As if he wasn’t already in a terrible place and then heaping on his garbage mentally was just the worst. Tee was exactly what he needed. I’m also excited to see what happens next with Theo and Kara. 💜
We return to Pigeon Creek for Cody and Tee's romance. I really loved Tee's quirky personality in the previous book, and I was interested to see how her romance would unfold.
Tee and Cody Korhonen were pen pals while he was a pilot in the Canadian army. They developed a deep connection through their letters, and Tee was always hopeful they could be together when he left the military. Unfortunately, Cody wrote a "Dear John" letter, cutting off contact with her after he gets injured and left service. Tee has returned to Pigeon Creek to be with her best friend and figure out what she wants to do with her life. She has no idea Colt was actually her pen pal, but he knows who she is when he hears her talking about him using his call sign. He feels horrible about ending things with her and wants to try and earn her forgiveness.
I loved Cody's grovel and hard he worked to be with Tee. They had such amazing chemistry, and he was so supportive of her love for music.
Things were pretty crazy with the ongoing plotline revolving their evil father. The reveals just keep getting worse, and who knows where it will lead in the upcoming books.
🎧 Audiobook Review 🎧 This audiobook was dual narrated by Connor Crais and Stella Hunter. Connor Crais did an amazing job as the grumpy but swoony hero. Stella Hunter brought to life Tee's quirky and chaotic personality.
Well I just fell in love with a dirty talking cowboy and i may have gained another book boyfriend. Cody is just everything , he is sweet , swoony and everything inbetween. Tee is just amazing , I loved everything about her. The two of them together are just perfection , they're eachother's person and its just beautiful. Once again I loved the Sister's from another Mister bond the girls have , they are just everything. Once again this author has drawn me into this incredible universe that I am hooked on. With the ending to this book I'm so excited for what's to come. Phenomenal five star read that I would definitely recommend. This universe is phenomenal and has a litte bit of something for everyone. All I can say is I can't wait for what's next.
Audio review :
This Audiobook is just everything I wanted and more. Connor and Stella have just given Cody and Tee their voices and wow it is just perfection. This will have you gripped and filled with all the emotions. Incredible listen that will have you blushing and desperate to find your very own Cody. Five huge stars that I wish I could rate more.
I have been waiting for this book to come out for what seems like forever! I love the characters in this series and was so happy to be back on the Seven C’s.
The secret pen pals trope needs to happen more often. It is my favorite thing about this love story of Tee and Cody. Cody was deployed and while he was he began writing letters to his friend T. Neither one of them knew the other’s real name so they were able to be extremely candid and open with everything they said. Once Cody is back, he realizes that the woman he fell for is none other than his sister in law’s best friend. Tee is sassy, intelligent, and unique which is why Cody is insanely attracted to her. She is one of my favorite characters of all time because she is not afraid to be herself even if she thinks she’s weird at times.
I love that Cody accepted every part of Tee and never tried to get her to fit a mold. He had his trauma that needed to be dealt with along with other nefarious things but they succeeded together.
This book was superb. The characters are so lovable, relatable and easy to care about. The town is small, quaint and tightly knit. I love the friendship between Zee and Tee, and how Tee cares so much about Callan. She really fell in to an older sister role with him, and it’s remarkable.
The relationship between the the Mc’s, Tee and Cody were rocky. The surprise about who they were to each other, the groveling and the tension. I love Tee’s character, she’s a person I wish I had in real life because she’s so funny, sweet and just everything you wish for in a friend. Cody is overprotective, caring and down bad for Tee.
This book was an easy read despite it being so long, and it’s probably one of my favorite books by the author. I received an advanced readers copy.
Cody takes the crown for being the most amazing book boyfriend in all of romancelandia. Honestly, why don't partners have this level of perfection IRL? Cody may have messed up with the Dear John letter that broke her heart in the previous book. But Come Back to Me is his redemption, his trust earning, his calm dominance, his dirty talking passion. Cody is a self professed Tee whisperer. He brings joy to her and is able to work with her neurospicy thought processes to support and help her flourish.
My absolute favourite thing about this book is how Tee is free to be herself. With so much pressure to conform from around her, Cody finds ways to help Tee just be her best self. He encourages her quirkiness and loves her purely for who she is without expectation of conformity. Gem will never let us down with her brilliantly unique FMCs and Tee's unapologetic feistiness is both funny and a little emotional as we can all feel her struggles.
Come Back To Me delivers a heartwarming love story told through letters between the main characters. A bond formed through friendship grows into a heartachingly perfect love between these two lonely and hurt souls. I have no doubt this is a romance I will turn to time and again to lift my heart and make me pine for this level of perfection.
As an aside, I've also listened to the fantastically performed audio narrated by Stella Hunter and Connor Crais. These two capture Tee and Cody with sensitivity and humour. Stella is perfect for Tee's quirkiness and her feisty retorts while Connor delivers a grouchy but hurting and torn Cody. He captures Cody's yearning for Tee gorgeously. A perfect duo for this smalltown love story.

‘I’m in the middle of an opera that he created for me, and I’ve neve wanted to be anywhere more in my life.’
Whether she is writing as G.A. or Serena, her books are lengthy, detailed, and will have your heart in your throat. G.A. is tying her Sinners world into the 7C’s Pigeon Creek series. I did not read the first book in the series and although I would love to and will, not reading it did not impact my following along or enjoying Come Back To Me as a whole. This book pulls at your heartstrings, has you laughing, has you loving/hating family dynamic, has you wanting a BFF like Tee and Zee, with some suspense thrown in for good measure. It took me a minute to wrap my mind around Tee. But, once I settled in and let Cody and Tee do their thing I was enthralled with this book. And, when this book heats up, y’all it is on. Plus, we get a small snippet of the next book….
For three years Butch Cassidy and Calamity Jane were pen pals while he served in the Canadian Air Force. Wounded, he returns home to Saskatchewan a decorated combat pilot with loads of tragedy covering him. Writing her a “Dear John” letter severing their connection believing she is continuing to live in New York despite the connection they both felt.
When Christy “Tee” MacFarlane’s BFF marries a Korhonen and leaves New York to return to their home in Pigeon Creek, Tee is close behind. Because girl is no good on her own. She needs her BFF to ground her. The Korhonen’s family are pretty much royalty in Pigeon Creek owning Seven Cs ranch. And, until they tire of her, Tee will be making the ranch her home.
All Tee wants is to make music. Her genius mind has no shut off valve, but her life in New York has stifled her creative juices.
Cody is her BFF Zee’s brother in law and the town’s new marshal. And, Butch Cassiday, although Tee does not realize it yet.
Thinking he is doing her a favor by not revealing the truth because his life is hella complicated. His family is enshrouded by secrets.
But, one evening he gives into the connection. When the morning after sets in so does the guilt until he decides he cannot keep the truth from her any longer.
Then Tee comes up with a way for him to apologize to her.
Tee craves love and acceptance, a family, and freedom to work on her music and be her authentic self. And, Cody he’s here for the long haul and he will be more than happy to prove it.
Come Back to Me is the second book in the 7c’s Ranch series. Tee goes to her best friend, Zee, and her boyfriend, Colt’s, ranch until she gets her life together. Colt’s brothers, Callan and Cody are there, and Cody is a retired fighter pilot in the Canadian army. He has now joined the town’s police depart. Cody and Tee started out as pen pals when Cody was still in the army, and their friendship turned into something more until Tee received a Dear John letter. They don’t know that they were writing to each other, but when they figured it out, Cody grovels in order to be forgiven. I like the ADHD representation. Tee is all over the place and chaotic, but she is a fantastic musical composer. I love how she doesn’t let people give her crap. Cody is a great hero! He had the equal amount of possessiveness and not being controlling. The plot and the character development were good. The audiobook is fantastic! Connor Crais and Stella Hunter were at their best narrating the audiobook.
Thank you to Must Love Audio and G.A. Mazurke for an ALC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
It’s official! I’ve fallen harder for the FMC than the MMC, and that’s a first for me. Tee is an absolute firecracker, and I adored every bit of her. Cody had his swoon-worthy moments too, but there’s just something about Tee that completely won me over. Though this was a longer read, it felt like watching a beautifully drawn-out movie, and I genuinely enjoyed being immersed in the characters’ lives. It was a refreshing shift from my usual lineup of dark romances.
Each character left their mark on me in different ways. And Callan…Cody’s brother, eek! I’m already counting down the days for his book. But first, it’s Theo’s turn, and I’m just as excited for his story. Honestly, even Nonna deserves her own spotlight! Gem has such a gift for creating rich, addicting characters, and it’s one of the many reasons I keep coming back for more.
💬 “While I disintegrate into the ether, he roars his release, filling me full. Draining himself inside me as my pu**y cossets and clings, wanting every drop because he. Is. Mine. And his seed. Is. Mine. And his pleasure. Is. Mine.“
this was the book that made me enter my serena akeroyd’s contemporary era and for good reason. i saw second chance and pen pals and was sold. so, of course i went back and read what i’d miss to go into this knowing everything i needed to. and that was the best decision i made because the crumbs of them in the previous book made finally getting their hea all the more delicious and angsty. she might’ve fallen first, but he not only fell harder, he fell knowing she’d hate him for what he did to her. and this man saw her, he saw all of her and he understood her like no one else ever could, or tried to. and she soothed him and his demons. and the letters? that's how he found her, lost her, and got her back. poetic.
Pen Pals, romantic suspense, and forced proximity!? Say less! I enjoyed this audiobook so much. Tee begins writing to Cody while he is deployed through an anonymous program and they connect instantly. Tee's outlandish letters, quick sass, and inappropriate conversations won Cody's heart and they fell in love through letters. When Cody is injured, he cuts of ties with his Pen Pal during a dark time. After recovering, he returns home and finds out that not only is the pen pal that he fell in love with best friends with his brother's wife, but she lives under the same roof!
Tee is a new favorite female character for me. I loved all her shenanigans and how she found true acceptance through Cody. She also loves Cody in such a loud way and it truly helps him heal from his trauma. I love how tough topics like ADHD and mental health were handled in this book. Both character's struggle in some way and they find understanding and appreciation in each other. I also love their chemistry and there was so much fun banter!
There's also a suspense element to this book that made it even more addicting!

🎧 𝗡𝗼𝘄 𝗹𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗼... Stella Hunter and Connor Crais were magic together in this audiobook. They played off each other so well while also bringing so much depth to the characters. There is so much back and forth banter in this book and both narrators handled it beautifully while making me laugh, swoon, and fall for these characters.
Thank you to G.A. Mazurke, Must Love Audio, and East House Productions for this gifted ALC.

Loved Come Back To Me so much and it's worth the wait. Because Cody and Tee are perfect together and I was obsessed with them from the start. Loved that Colt and Zee were part of their story and Callan , aka Baby Cowboy was part of all of it as well. It was funny how all of them forgot that he's only eighteen and not an adult. He was integral part of the 7C's ranch and he has his teen moments and all the adults were part of them. I loved it that he got the chance to embrace his college years. Tee was such a big part of Zee's life and I loved it that she came back to Pigeon Creek. Them living together at the ranch it was as though they are still roomies In New York. And Cody coming back at the same time. Um, Karma at work. Because those two were having a whole relationship with letters. Until he Dear Johned her . Now he's the one who knows the truth and him confessing made their relationship interesting. These two getting to know each other in real life was pure bliss. But to know that they already have a relationship with letters that was perfect is mind-blowing. That messes with Tee big time. But grovelling Cody and his gestures was so fun to watch. Tee composed music because she found her muse. Cody was slowly recovering from his injuries and the mental aftermath of them was the reason for the Dear John letter and now he's working to repair the damage he made. He was so sweet and swoony. And Tee is working through her hurt and fears to forgive him. Her being a genius doesn't help. But the other genius child Callan helped her. The whole dog heaven affair still lives rent free in my mind. But they were so right. And Cody helping Tee with her dog was so sweet. Tee finally forgive Cody and those two were pure fire together with chemistry of the charts and undeniable attraction. And the suspense in this one is over the top with more revelations about Clyde's crimes and the MC disturbing the town. With that epilogue and that last chapter I can't wait for the next book in the series.
Thanks to the author for the opportunity to read and review an early copy of this book.
I really enjoyed COME BACK TO ME. It’s a small town, pen pal, second chance, romantic suspense novel, featuring Cody and Tee!
I loved the story and I thought Cody and Tee were perfect for each other! Cody was your lovable grumpy Hero and Tee was a ray of sunshine! Both of the characters were unique and special in their own way. They were definitely memorable!
I especially loved Tee. She was quirky, a free spirit and I loved that she believed in the power of crystals. She had ADHD and I really appreciated that it was handled with such care in the book.
Cody was a fighter pilot in the RCAF. He was seriously injured and was discharged. After being pen pals with Tee for two years, he ultimately wrote her a “Dear John” letter, so he could go home, heal, and move on with his life.
Tee was a musical genius and studied at the prestigious Juilliard School in NYC. She ended up coming home and moved in with Cody, not knowing that he was her long lost pen pal.
Things come to a head when they both confess that they knew who each other were. Cody ends up groveling to Tee to prove that he’s the man that she needs him to be.
I thought their story was beautiful and I loved all the little snippets of their past told in the letters they wrote to each other. The story was deep and their character development was fantastic. Cody and Tee had so much depth, which I thought really elevated the story. I love this series and can’t wait for book 3! 4.5⭐️
Thanks so much, GA Mazurke, for the eARC in exchange for my honest review! 💕
Come Back To Me is book/audiobook two in the 7C's: A Pigeon Creek Series. It is a contemporary, pen-pal, second chance, small town romance with romantic suspense, emotional moments galore, an ADHD FMC, and a MMC with his own mental health struggles related to his prior career as a pilot in the Canadian Armed Forces.
Tee is a genius, and a music prodigy. She speaks her mind and doesn't know how to hold back. Unfortunately she has a mom and dad who just want her to be "normal".
Cody is a Canadian war veteran who has seen too many of his close friends lost. His mental scars, and abusive father, caused him to make some irrational and just plain dumb decisions that ended with two broken hearts.
I loved this book and the audiobook too. Tee and Cody are electrically charged when together. I adored them both as individuals and as a couple. I also loved that Tee and Cody's family play such a huge role in their story.
The casting for the audiobook was incredible. The narrators did a truly fantastic job bringing life and emotion to Tee, Cody, and their story. Stella Hunter did a simply amazing job voicing Tee and bringing her quirky, lovable personality to our ears. Connor Crais' narration of Cody was also equally terrific.
The writing, pace, and flow of the story make for a seamless read and listen. The plot, storytelling, storyline, characters, character development , and relationship development are all amazing and the world building is stunning. The narration is also fabulous and could not have been cast better.
I would definitely recommend this book and audiobook to anyone who loves a great contemporary romance.
Cody and Tee’s story is here!!!! I have been so excited for this book, and it was really good! It’s emotional and angsty and I completely fell in love with the characters. There are these great moments that you feel in your soul - some are funny and sweet and some are emotional and raw. The highs and the lows felt so authentic to me.
Tee and Cody have this beautiful relationship built via letters as pen pals. We see them fall in love as pen pals…and then their pen pal personas go in different directions…
Tee is s smart and talented and quirky and creative and doesn’t shy away from who she is. Cody is now working as the town’s marshal and had been struggling…these two ex-pen pals find their way back together…but can they work through the hurt and the trauma?
Cody was the perfect match for Tee and vice verse-a. He really helped center and support her. No spoilers so I can’t say anything else except:
▫️I love a good grovel ▫️The spicy scenes are so good!!! ▫️The audiobook is amazing and I’ll be doing a separate post on it. ▫️HEA!!!!
This book is part of The Five Points universe so expect to find some Easter Eggs and Cameos!! You never know who might show up!!!

This gifted wordsmith has a way of telling a story that draws me in, effortlessly captivates, and makes me a part of the story. Everything we're given is vital, without unnecessary descriptors or excess internal dialog. Because of this, I’ve yet to be bored with her writing. After I read my first GAM/SA romance, I blazed my way through the Five Points series and the New York Stars hockey world spin off. Then I met the Korhonen brothers, learned their backstory, and I’ve been addicted ever since.
Tee MacFarlane is one of my favorite kinds of sheroes. She marches to the beat of her own drum, sees the world differently, and makes no apologies for the unique workings of her gray matter. And Cody Korhonen is her perfect match, appreciating her uniqueness and wanting to see her shine. It all starts with an anonymous letter to a soldier while Cody is still enlisted. The friendship becomes something they both rely on, still not knowing each other’s identity. But then life happens, there're no more letters, and Tee moves to Cody's home in Pigeon Creek to be with her best friend.
I already raved about this crafty wordsmith's writing, but dang, Cody and Tee's story is so ridiculously good! Subplots and secondary stories with so many loveable characters really make this one stand head and shoulders above your average small-town romance. Funny, heartfelt, poignant, and steamy, you’ll love every second you spend in this world!
Tee and Colt… let me just take a moment before I completely spiral into my feels over this book.
I absolutely loved how different they were—total opposites in so many ways—but the way they complemented each other was nothing short of perfect. Their chemistry? Off. The. Charts.
It was the tropes that first caught my eye, but it was the story, the characters, and that insane chemistry that kept me hooked and desperate for more.
One of my favorite elements was getting to know Tee and Colt through their letters. It gave such a deep, intimate look at the foundation of their relationship—first as friends, then as something more. It made their bond feel so real and earned.
Every single character was written to perfection, and I loved exploring this world and watching all the different dynamics evolve and grow. Sure, the book had a few flaws (what book doesn’t?), but none of that took away from how much I adored this story.
“Tee is…I don’t think there’s an adjective for what she is. Luminous. Like a fireworks display on July 1st.”
I’m convinced that G.A. Mazurke (& her other pen name) is a freaking master at weaving beautiful, heartfelt, deep, clever, intricate, and unique love stories every single time. And her 2nd “small town” romance installment is no exception.
Cody & Tee are long time pen pals who very clearly fell in love by letter. But a darkness overshadowed them, a choice & a delayed receipt really put a hamper on their actual, in person meeting. I will also go on record that Clyde K (I refuse to grace him with the wonderful Korhonen name that the brothers are giving honor to) is the absolute scum of the earth and deserves EVERYTHING coming his way….
Tee & Cody are the exact opposite in so many ways - but find their perfect peace & acceptance in one another. Their “un-dating” made me a little crazy — like dang it just be together, out & crazy & loud & wonderful. But it’s part of their journey that we have to see play out. Another masterful part of Mazurke’s writing is how she leaves little “Easter eggs” throughout her stories that I try to pay special attention to certain details. Eagerly waiting for a future read where those things come into play! PLUS we got a little cross over action which I always love. I honestly can not wait to see Cody & Tee down the road — to see how their love blooms, to see them with kids, to see where Cody has built his dream home at now. I will never tire of this world - of these characters - of this brand of love story. So grateful - I received an Advanced Reader Copy.
