Georgia thought she knew what love looked like. She believed in happy endings, in forever, in the kind of romance that wraps you in safety and never lets go.
But when her picture-perfect engagement begins to crack, Georgia is forced to confront a truth she never saw love can be tender, and it can also be terrifying.
As the man she once trusted begins to unravel, Georgia clings to the hope that she can fix what’s broken—until the night everything shatters. Left with questions, fear, and a journal full of secrets, Georgia must find the strength to reclaim her voice, her future, and the pieces of herself that nearly disappeared.
If Anything Happens to Me is a heart-wrenching, beautifully written story about love, survival, and the courage it takes to walk away. A poignant reminder that sometimes the bravest thing you can do is choose yourself.

I loved this book so much, If Anything Happens To Me is a must-read! I was hooked from the dedication page! While there are some serious topics (read the trigger warnings) in this book, you can truly feel the authors compassion and sensitivity.
When you think you have it all figured out... you don't.
I absolutely loved the FMC and could relate to a lot of what she was going through as far as body image and self-doubt. She is such a strong woman, especially with everything she goes through. She is so compassionate and kind and only wants the best for those around her.
I can't wait for more amazing books from the author! Way to go on your debut book. @RG Prince! Thank you so much for the privilege of being a part of your ARC team!
This has me gripped from the start! The authors dedication was so beautiful it had me in tears. There were so many things to love about this story.
First impression, I loved the way she paints the picture for everything. It was so easy to imagine in my head it was like a movie playing and I absolutely love when authors can do that!
Without giving any spoilers I will say that I was intrigued the entire way through! At like 80% I wasn’t sure if I wanted to cry, if I was actually really angry or just ready to throw up! Lol. There were so many emotions. Emotional rollercoaster at its finest! The way the author built up the anticipation had me wanting to know what was happening next! I just couldn’t put it down!
This story is tough but also it was beautiful in its own right. The FMC and her relationships with people in her life were truly enjoyable. They were funny and down to earth and completely relatable! It’s got some heavy moments for sure but the in between with her family and friends were beautiful!
I can’t wait to get the physical copy of this story to add to my trophy shelf 🤭
I loved this ARC and hope I can continue to be a part of their upcoming stories!
This book was so good! From the very beginning I was hooked. When reading I could relate to the FMC in some aspects. I wanna talk about this but I don’t wanna spoil it. I cried reading this and I couldn’t put it down. This was an awesome read. I can’t wait to read more of her story.
Thank you so much RG prince for this arc read! I can’t wait to read more from you
This story hit me hard in the feels. It's a tale of how seemingly perfect lives are not really that. We see the story unravel via diary entries telling us how the main characters got together. I was sobbing for the last few chapters. This author has a well honed craft to bring characters to life on page. I hope it gets popular and it becomes an audiobook. Please read the trigger warnings. It could be very triggering for some. This book would appeal to fans of the themes like It Ends With Us.
Absolutely LOVED this book!!! It definitely is a tear jerker. The way I could relate a little bit to the FMC made it such a good read & relatable. The author did so good at portraying Georgia and RG Prince is amazing at writing. Definitely give this a read but make sure to look at trigger warnings 🤍
This was a story full of emotion and hard topics, which the author told with empathy and grace.
It’s definitely a slow burn that perfectly portrays the silent suffering so many women face in this type of relationship.
The FMC is strong, intelligent and extremely relatable. You can totally feel her change as the relationship goes on and her desperately try to hold everything together.
I can’t believe this is RGPrice’s first book. I can’t wait to read more!!!
I was hooked from the first page! Definitely a must read!I love the FMC so much and I hope we get more from her in the future. Please do check trigger warnings
From chapter 1- end, Georgia wraps you in her beautiful story. I loved how raw she was with facing “love”. How true the cataracts stayed with her every day life, going thru the motions, and attempting to fix this person she loves.
This is a perfect explanation of self love and value!
R.G. Prince brings a rollercoaster of emotions in her debut book. Georgia, the FMC, is relatable and easy to fall in love with. Warren, the MMC, is everything a woman wants until he isn't. This is a story of finding love, but at what cost?
This story will take you on an emotional journey that will provide you with healing. Prepare to fall in love with the FMC Georgia she’s brave, resilient, and a virgin 😉. RG Price done such a beautiful job writing this story that you are able to visualize the ups and downs, twists and turns, and continuous flow of emotions. The author does a commendable job delivering a story that touches on sensitive topics. The icing on the cake is the wholesome friendships that foster feelings of joy and belonging 🫶🏼
This was a very quick read for me that I enjoyed. This is five out of five stars and let me tell you why.
This book takes you on an emotional journey and there are several triggers that you'll want to make sure that you're aware of before you start reading it. I feel like the author was able to fully capture the story with those triggers in a way that was balanced but still getting to the heart of the issue.
The FMC, Georgia, was written in a way that makes her so relatable. Georgia had such resiliency and she was stronger I think than even she realized that she was. Georgia just wanted what we all want and that was a relationship where you just felt truly loved and appreciated and mentally gave you that white picket fence setting. She wanted a love that she knew she could count on.
However, this book shows us that sadly sometimes the vision that we see isn't always what is real underneath. Sometimes the crack in the foundation becomes a big break. I was in such an emotional chokehold reading this book that I didn't know if I needed a box of Kleenex or a bottle of Xanax.
I love books that truly make me feel something and this gave me more than I expected. I highly recommend it.
This is a beautifully emotional story! But it touches on some sensitive topics. So please be sure to check the content warnings to keep your head and heart happy!
With that being said, I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I liked getting to follow Georgia on her journey. She is such a relatable character. Her journal entries were my favorite part of the book. Reading them pulled me into her story even more.
This book took me on an emotional rollercoaster in the very best way. If you like books with lots of heart and healing, this is for you. I definitely recommend it!
This book has my heart. I am an emotional reader, I need a book to take me on a ride and surprise me. This book has all the elements a love story, a feisty best friend, and a MMC that I can hate, love, and then hate again. The emotional roller coaster ride I have been on!!! The characters are so relatable, I have to say it has healed a part of my heart that needed closure. This story is more than worth the read it is needed.
R.G. Prince's debut novel will tug at your heartstrings, end in an unexpected way and leave you wanting more. This author takes us on a journey that describes a narrative we know exists and yet Georgia's story gives us hope as she discovers her strength when pushed down to her weakest. Beautifully written; this slow burn, love story will have you flipping page over page - taking a beat to pause and process the truths that are uncovered. To say that I am excited to see what Georgia's future holds is an understatement.
Wow, this story is for those who love getting their heart ripped out and feeling the feels. I really loved this book and I feel that it showed how people can change. I cried so many times while reading. I enjoyed reading Georgia’s story and can’t wait for more of RG Prince’s work!
I enjoyed the writing style immensely. It felt a big... cartoon-ish? in a way. Not bad, but the way Georgie described her feelings / interactions with Warren was cute in an inexperienced way.
My brain? Gone. My heart? Thudding My knees? Weak.
I enjoyed the journal entries, again felt very inexperienced in a way [like it was a HS romance] but it as sweet & wholesome.
I did feel like Warren was love bombing Georgia in the beginning. It didn't feel like insta-love. I'm unsure if that was the author's intention, but it did taint Warren. [As if the opening scene didn't already have me pre-judging him even if i didn't know if he did it or not]. Also, call me a cynic, but I didn't believe Warren's excuse for ghosting Georgia. Where was the PROOF? We're just taking his word on it?????????????????? I wanted to know the how/why Warren started using... Was he using during his first marriage? Did the first wife know and that's the reason for divorce? Why would he never update the courts?? Even with character witnesses... Seemed all too fishy and no evidence.
As the story unfolded, i was a bit disappointed we only recieved snippets. Georgia's instincts telling her something feels off, but nothing concrete on page. The ending scene, i felt could have been a bit more. A bigger fight, more detailed / more build up. It happened so quickly I was a bit blind-sighted about what actually happened. I felt like I was robbed because the build up had me feeling like maybe we'd get an explosion out of Warren [a why he did it, when it started, etc], and then the fight. But instead we get, "I told you to stop questioning me" then black. I also feel Warren going to Tom then turning himself in was cowardly. I can't explain it, but more should have been done / happened. It as a bit disappointing tbh.

Not your typical romance. Georgia is happy for her friend Valentina's sudden engagement, and more than happy to be part of the whirlwind wedding just a week later. What she isn't expecting is a chance encounter at her favorite coffee shop that feels like something out of a romance novel. The tall, handsome stranger with ocean eyes, happening to pick up a conversation with her, of all people?
Even more, she isn't expecting to meet him again that night. Warren, the best friend of Tom, Valentina's soon to be husband, is the best man and it seems like they'll be spending time together as the wedding weekend progresses. Warren is captivated by Georgia, and he's not about to let her slip through his fingers, even if it means coming on strong.
Georgia is swept away by her handsome stranger, feeling things she thought she'd never experience as she uses every chance to talk to him, long into the nights of dancing for both the bridal party and the wedding itself. Trusting her heart, she agrees to go with him for a week, to meet his son and find out if what's between them is real.
After spending the perfect week with Warren, she returns home, only to find silence from him. Years go by before their given their second chance, but will it be everything she's dreamed of?
A story about how people can change. How addiction can alter people. How you can find yourself in an abusive situation from the last place you expected - and how maybe you can heal despite it all. Maybe you do have the power to save yourself.
Thank you to the author, RG Prince, for the arc. All opinions are my own, expected publishing date June 3, 2025
If Anything Happens To Me by R.G. Prince is the story of Georgia, our FMC who is trying to balance life, work, and love, while watching everyone around her get their happily ever afters and wanting one of her own. But also realizing that maybe not all endings are happy after all.
I think we all want love, to love, to be loved. All of us crave that fairytale, that white picket fence, that one that becomes “the one”. For some, it’s a smooth road with such ease it seems unfair. And for others, like Georgia, the road towards our happily ever after is long, winding, and a little bumpy. We feel every twist, every turn, and every held breath that our FMC feels. We laugh, and cry, and hurt right along with her. We also hope, and want all the best for her as if she were our own best friend. That’s how well R.G. Prince tells this story.
Whether you’re a hopeless romantic or a straight, no frills cynic, this story is fast paced, engaging, believable and most of all - beautifully and respectfully told. Whether you know someone that has experienced what Georgia experiences or whether you yourself have, R.G. Prince makes you feel seen, understood, and valued. And whether you have triggers, or have none, as always - check the triggers anyway and take care of your own mental health.
And with all that said, If I didn’t know this was R.G. Prince’s debut novel, I would never have believed it based on her ability to tell a story and draw you in from the very first page. You’ll definitely want to follow this Author and read whatever else she comes out with.
Thank you to the author for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Wow. This book wrecked me—in the best way!
If Anything Happens to Me by R.G. Prince is one of those reads that grabs you by the heart and refuses to let go. It’s raw, emotional, and packed with moments that might hit a little too close to home for some readers, so definitely check those trigger warnings before diving in. But trust me—it’s worth it.
Georgia, the main character, felt so real. Her strength, even when she doesn’t fully recognize it herself, was both heartbreaking and inspiring. All she wants is something so simple—love, stability, that feeling of safety we all crave—but life doesn’t always play fair. Prince does an incredible job of peeling back the layers of what looks like a perfect life and showing what’s really underneath. Sometimes, the cracks in the foundation aren’t just cosmetic—they’re deal breakers.
I was emotionally gutted in the best way. One minute I was nodding along with Georgia’s thoughts, the next I was blinking back tears, and somewhere in there I wondered if I needed tissues or something stronger.
If you’re into stories that really make you feel—like, ache-in-your-chest kind of feel—this one is for you. It’s haunting, beautiful, and unexpectedly powerful. 4.5 Stars!!!
The story will make you feel, except, and acknowledge so many concepts that are so uncomfortable for people to discuss in social settings or in private settings. Truly appreciate the author for going there and writing on MULTIPLE topics that aren’t touched on in any book I’ve read.
Truly, such a beautiful love story that may or may not have ended in a HEA. (No spoilers)
The ways that RG PRINCE is able to make you feel the way the FMC is feeling through the entirety of this book is so special. Taking a characters feelings and making them raw and emotional within themselves and not with others is a very powerful message. We are hardest on ourselves and want to see the beauty and good in others and their plus ones.
Whether or not this message is something that you can relate to, this book will make you understand what it’s like to feel the lows and highs as an independent person.
Thank you and standing ovation for making something tragic and beautiful so worthy of reading.
(Side note…. It’s a page turner read this in one sitting, so grab snacks and get cozy because you’re in for a beautiful story)
Oh and PS read authors notes and acknowledgments… they are there for an important reason.
If there is anything that I know, first impressions are everything. This debut novel was gripping, emotional and will pull you in from the very beginning, start with the dedication page that instantly pulled tears.
The writing style of this story is what captured my mind that most. R.G is so perfect at wording things just right that you can see and feel them. What our FMC is going through is so relatable to so many readers and even if you don't follow her story in your own shoes, there are things she's experiencing that everyone can relate too, like body issues, insecurities, doubt and more.
After every page turn I became more engulfed in this story because I could never figure out which way their love was going to go and the emotions that I went through watching them, was just complete up and down! The building of this story had me on the edge of my seat and there were times when I couldn't decided how to root for their love. It's a tough and gripping read but one that again will connect with so many and hopefully give others the power to keep living for themselves and give their own happiness a chance above all.
Truly wonderful, quick read with lots of emotions but worth every single moment. I would give anything to be able to read this for the first time again.
If Anything Happens To Me is raw and heartbreaking. It’s a story of love, determination, strength, and never giving up. Our main character, Georgia, goes through a very isolating and difficult battle with the love of her life, Warren. The subjects discussed in here are difficult, ugly, isolating, and heartbreaking. Georgia’s sheer determination and love were so admirable and so painful to go through. You feel every moment of her heartache and hurt. You can feel her slowly start to break. R.G. Prince’s writing was so incredible, it was so easy to get lost in her book and feel the emotional gut punch. This book is more than just words, it’s an experience many people and spouses go through, that some never discuss, can never truly put into words what they’re experiencing and going through, and R.G. Prince did an amazing job of getting those exact feelings, thoughts, and emotions across, perfectly. Please, read her book, please experience Georgia’s story. Her story is one that so many silently go through, so many are able to hide and deal with alone. It’s one that will stick with you, forever.
This book honestly caught me off guard in the best way. I picked it up expecting a classic new aged romance, but what I got was so much more. It’s a love story, yes, but not just between two people. It’s representing love between strangers, friends, siblings, and even the kind we forget to give ourselves.
Georgia, the main character, feels like a little piece of all of us. She is such a relatable character. Her journey is emotional, messy, and beautifully real.
RG pulled me in from that very first coffee shop scene and I even woke up a few times way before my alarm just to keep reading. IYKYK.
What I enjoyed most is how real this story felt. It’s beautiful, but also crazy emotional. Sweet but heartbreaking. You see the kind of love that doesn’t always have a perfect ending, but still matters deeply. Honestly, thats what makes it standout from other books.
It’s one of those stories that lingers, that tucks itself into your heart and stays there. I have a few books tucked in that special spot and am happy to add this one to that mini collection.
I hope Georgia’s story isn’t over. Can’t wait to see where life takes her next.
The story builds around a toxic, abusive relationship, and then ends with a long, sappy letter from the abuser like we’re supposed to feel bad for him. He gets the final word. He talks about how broken he is, how much he loved her, and how he’s going to heal… like, are we seriously doing this?
Meanwhile, the actual victim gets nothing. No closure. No power. Just one last manipulative letter pretending to be love.
It’s giving “romanticized trauma,” and I’m tired of books acting like an abuser saying sorry is some kind of grand gesture. It’s not. It’s triggering, tone-deaf, and frankly disgusting that this is what readers are left with.
This isn’t deep. It’s not healing. It’s just irresponsible.
Do better.
TLDR; victim? silence. resolution? none. but hey, at least he’s healing, right?
this isn’t closure, it’s emotional manipulation with a bow on it. hard pass.

IF ANYTHING HAPPENS TO ME is a beautiful journey of love, heartbreak and healing. Georgia our FMC is a girl after my own heart. Her steadiness, kindness and strength truly is a testament to her character and makes you root for her through every page. Enter Warren who will charm his way into the readers and Georgia's heart. The way R.G. lays out their romance and story is so clever and you can truly visualize and understand their dynamic in a way that makes it like you're in the pages themselves. This book is a rollercoaster of emotions that will have you flipping the pages so fast. Thank you to R.G. for this beautiful and much needed story. I cannot wait for your next work and it's an honor to be a small part of your author journey. -Laura
Whew! This was a hard one, but beautifully written! I have been blessed to have never been in an abusive relationship but I know others who have. I never could understand how you wouldn't just leave. This story takes you through Georgia's relationship from the very beginning where everything is wonderful and she falls desperately in love with Warren (and I promise, you will too!) to the small changes. The gaslighting, the narcissistic remarks, when he puts her down just enough to make her question herself but not enough to call him out on it. This shows the slow development of domestic abuse. R.G. Prince did an excellent job at bringing this issue to light in this story. Check your triggers.
This book was gripping from the beginning! The FMC is easy to love and relatable from her introduction. This book address topics that may be triggering to some readers but the author is careful and intentional in her writings. It gives an honest look at the progression of relationships that start out picture perfect but slowly move to trying to keep everything together.
The writing keeps you enticed and wanting to know what comes next. The story starts with the ending event so you have a sense that this will come at some point but you never know quite when!
This was a fantastic, emotional read and I can’t wait to read more by this author in the future!
This honest review was written in exchange for an ARC.
Oh my sweet Georgia, she had me captivated in her story from the moment the book began. This romance is definitely not your typical romance and I urge you STRONGLY to read the content warnings. RG Prince does an INCREDIBLE job writing some pretty heavy topics with grace. I laughed, I cried, I yelled, I felt everything while reading this book and I would do it again. Absolutely 10/10 recommend and will always recommend!
Thank you SO much for giving me the chance to ARC read this for you! I can’t wait to see what other incredible things you write!
Love the book!!!!!!! I could relate to the FMC in some ways, had me on the edge of my seat of what was happening. You had me from the beginning of the book it also had me in tears I couldn’t stop reading this book I just had to know what happened next. Definitely would read it again. Thank you so much for letting me be part of your arc team @RG. Prince. I can’t wait to read more books from you.
This book was everything! The FMC was so relatable and I just couldn’t put this down once I started reading this. I loved the journal entries and the topics that this book touched were everything! For it being her debut novel this definitely set the bar high! Thank you for allowing me to be part of your ARC team!
