This book is part one in a four part series. The series follows Jacob and Leila from the His Submissive series. First if you haven't read that series don't read this book yet. I was seriously lost a good part of the book.
Jacob tends to keep secrets and Lelia never confronts Jacob with how she feels. Lelia has the mother in law form hell and jealous woman to contend with. The "secret" Jacob was keeping is finally revealed leaving just as the book ends. It was an interesting book just not for me. If I had read His Submissive first I think I would have liked this better. If you've read His Submissive I would recommend this to you.

Leila and Jacob are such great characters that I'm glad to read more about their lives.
Ava Claire is the master of serials. This only works because in the beginning, she obviously knew where she wanted these characters to go and how to split the story into parts so every single book brings something new. She writes with a passion for her characters. She doesn't sell them out, she keeps them consistent so you know what they are thinking, you know their insecurities, you know how they handle different situations.
I love Ava Claire's writing style. She has the knack of making you feel like you are part of the book. She's not overly descriptive and her vernacular is spot on for every character. I read every single word in her book because every word is meant to be there. There is no padding and no repetitive prose. She also writes a great bedroom scene!!
I can't wait to see where this story goes and how Jacob handles his latest curve ball.

Okay so I received an ARC for an honest review...
Let me start by saying I am a HUGE fan of Jacob and Lelia but with that said...absolutely nothing has changed with them, Lelia worries about things without confronting Jacob about it and Jacob refuses to tell Lelia his "secrets". Then you have have Nicole who is STILL jealous because Lelia is now Jacob's wife, and Jacob's mother is STILL an entitled bitch.
If you didn't know then this book picks up a year after the ending of Ava Claire's serial series called His Submissive...so if you haven't read that 12 part serial then I don't advise you reading this just yet...as you will be completely lost where their backstory is concerned.
Jacob pissed me off in the beginning of the book, BUT Lelia SHOULD have confronted him about her feelings instead of skulking like an abused Sub. Oh and you really don't want me to get started on Jacob's mother because seriously I hated her the moment she showed up in the previous series. I'm just glad Rachel hasn't shown her face in here...I am prone to cussing and throwing tablets where she is concerned.
They do end up revealing Jacob's "secret" which in my opinion was pretty anti-climatic...I was expecting way more of a dramatic cliffhanger, BUT I'm glad there wasn't a huge cliffhanger because I can wait patiently for the next installment.
While I do recommend reading this if your a fan of Jacob and Lelia I recommend you definitely read His Submissive if you have not already.
As far as the rating goes...I wish I could give half stars because this is between a 3 and a 4 star for me. A little bit of a rough start but I have no doubt the rest of this will be great.

I loved reading about Jacob and Leila, it was so wonderful reading about them as a married couple. I don't however like that they were already having trouble, what was up with that first sex scene and him acting like a jerk??? I will say the other sex scenes are super hot and as I remembered them from before. I still cannot stand Natasha and I think it is awful how disrespectful she is, why is she still allowed to be there? Then of course we have the wicked mother in law, she is down right nasty, even though she knows Leila loves Jacob and isn't after his money she is still so mean, I hope she gets hers in the end. I was happy that Ava did not let this problem Jacob and Leila had run into drag on, I was happy that she stood her ground and demanded that he tell her the secret, I am really curious what this "secret" will mean for this couple.

When I saw that Ms Claire was writing a spin off from His Submissive about Leila and Jacob, I was chomping at the bit for it to be released.
I have waited patiently, or maybe not really too patiently, for all 4 parts of this series to be released before diving in and reading them straight off.
I love the way Ms Claire writes her alpha men. Jacob is strong and protective of Leila. He is a passionate man and a Dominant. Even when he is in full Dom-mode, he is still looking after Leila and making sure she is alright. he respects her even when he is dominating her and that's a good trait to have. So many books portray Dominants as arseholes who don't give a shit about their subs, and that couldn't be further than the truth.
Leila is the feisty sub, the devoted wife who likes to wind Jacob up so he gives her what she craves. She worries when it looks like she is being shut out of something in Jacob's life, which could affect their life together.
A brilliant start to the series.

5 Amazing Stars.
I was given this book for my honest review.
As the story continues between Lila and Jacob this brand new series becomes more sexier by the pages. Jacob and Lila have been through so much together and as the title hold become one. But as the new journey begins another puzzle erupts will this loving couple be able to withstand another fork in the road and come out stronger or will the fork forget different paths for them all together?
Love is their essence and sex can be a center for the both of them but as this new journey begins can and will they finally find their forever within each other and the nights skies above?
This is the first in this series.
I look forward to this new journey with them as man and wife..
Did I mention that the sex is out of this world mind blowing hot hot hot?

Of course, if you love Jacob as much as I do, then you are VERY excited for more Jacob and Leila. And Ava did not disappoint.
Throughout this read I found myself actually getting very angry at Jacob. How he was acting towards Leila and keeping secrets, it bothered me. He made me mad and he BETTER make it up to me soon. ;-)
Of course at the end we learn his secret. And its a BIG one. Cannot wait to see what happens with that new information. It had humor and hot scenes like always. A wonderful new addition to Leila and Jacobs story and excited for more! a great, short read :-) <3

I was extremely excited for more Jacob and Leila. Getting to read about their 'happily ever after' is a treat! Jacob and Leila are still working out their issues, and while Jacob has grown, I love how Leila's character has developed. We are re-introduced to Jacobs mother, and see a glimpse of hope for her character. The book ends with a cliffhanger "secret" being revealed. While the cliffhanger was a bit anti-climatic, it did leave me with enough interest and questions to look forward to book 2.

Yea! We get to continue with Leila and Jacob's journey as they traverse the world married. Their love and connection is just as strong though Jacob exhibits some behavior that has Leila concerned. Jacob's mother makes an appearance and she is just as evil as ever. I love the spunk that Leila shows us when she feels Jacob is hiding information and pushes him to reveal what is really going on. Jacob still has a lot to learn about how to be open with Leila, remembering it's ok to include her with his troubles. Their love and connection is just as exciting and off-the-charts sexy as Leila continues to submit to Jacob.

Let me start off by saying that I missed Jacob and Leila. The make such a erotic couple. Jacob is such a no holds bar type of Dom. He does what he wants when he wants and Leila jut the type of woman for him. This book is a good start to the next phase in there relationship. I'm sitting on the edge of my seat waiting to see what comes next. The love/sex scenes are so hot you get drawn into it. Read His Submissive to get the full story

As you know Jacob is my whole reason for being such a huge fan of Ava's. This is a must read feel good kind of book that lets you catch up with your friends and learn what's been going on one year later. It's packed full of fun, tears and lots of drama. FYI, you will need a box of Kleenex and your mad hat for this first installment because you will definitely feel!!! Well worth the wait and the read. !!!

We meet up with Jacob and Leila once again, the happy married power couple. I love this couple. Leila has grown and not so naive and Jacob is still the powerful CEO!! And the sex is still steamy! We get a glimpse of Megan as well and her relationship with Cade is still going strong!

I have been a big fan of Jacob and Leila for awhile. I was super excited to see what was new with them. I found it difficult at times to read when Jacob was being cold. I felt for Leila and could understand her frustration. We find out why he is acting the way he is. I'm curious to see how the new series will go.

I loved Jacob & Leila's story from the very beginning. I am a little pissed at the length of this story & the fact that it will be in 4 parts drug out over 4 months. I don't don't know if I'll continue with the series or not.
