They say that you can choose your friends, but you’re stuck with your family. That is both true and false. Sometimes you get to choose your family as well. As all of us chose one another. Our family – it is both a gift and a choice.

As Cole and Gabe go above and beyond to deliver Devlin from the anguish of heart and mind…Angel, Abel and Caleb develop a deeper bond in their quest to rescue Dane from the demons of his past. When Max finally comes face to face with his half-brother, Darius – the man isn’t quite what Max had expected, and brings with him unsettling truths about Max’s real father. And Clint – a man of ruthless loyalty – continues his discreet vigilance over Gabe and his family, while battling emotions that are both foreign and unsettling within the world he exists, yet continually draws him back to source of his growing desire.

The spirit of the Phoenix reaches out to all facets of the family as established relationships are strengthened and new relationships develop, steeped in love and forgiveness, and trust and faith in one another.

Pen name of author A.M. Snead.

Born and raised in scenic Coos County, Oregon, CJ enjoys the small town atmosphere and down-to-earth country folk who populate the area. She is a single mother and lives with her 18-year-old daughter, 1 horse, 4 dogs and 6 cats deep in the country woodlands which gives her plenty of time to write.

She is a Christian and a strong supporter of the LGBT community and favors gay erotic romance when it comes to writing. She hopes that her stories of love and acceptance will help further compassion and understanding for LGBT people who she feels is greatly misunderstood and persecuted - in a large party by the Christian community.

Most of all, she is hopeful that her stories will bring comfort to those who have been told that God hates them because they are different. It is her strong belief that God loves everyone and His love covers all.

Loved, loved, LOVED it!! This series has been superb apart from the occasional error with punctuation, spelling and grammar, which luckily as the series has gone on, have been less and less.

Example - naval - meaning...of, relating to, characteristic of, or having a navy whereas navel - meaning...the scar in the centre of the abdomen, usually forming a slight depression, where the umbilical cord was attached Technical name: umbilicus. EVERY SINGLE TIME in this series, the word used was naval, oh dear.

Example - the phrase 'here, here' is meaningless. The correct term is 'hear!, hear!' meaning an exclamation used to show approval of something said.

However, my gripes about silly things that could have been corrected before publication aside, the characterisations have been amazing, the sex absolutely awesome and the

LOVE shown by all the characters to each other has definitely gone way beyond the norm. Family is what you make it, we can't choose who we grow up with but we can and should choose who we have in our lives afterwards. The guys at the Phoenix Club are one big family, with more lucky people joining that family as time goes on. 5 MILLION stars.

Waiting for news about Axel and Clint, Maddy and Savannah and our new couple Riley and Darius. It would appear that all the other couples are completely loved up and marriage is on the cards for everyone. YEEHAW!!

CJ Bishop's book are like crack...I barreled through all the Abel and Caleb and Max and Angel books etc etc...I should have waited until all the books were out then read them but I couldn't (because they're like crack)

The end of another trilogy for The Phoenix Club Boys and clearly there's more still to come as new relationships are starting to develop and I need to know what happens with them. The individual stories are rounded off as the boys heal from their own personal tragedies and a lot of the couples are now engaged to be married. At times there was possibly a bit too much sex and too little story - those guys seem to be horny 24/7! but I loved seeing how the MC's all got their happily ever afters and I will definitely read more about them and the new characters that were introduced.

Heartwarming ending to a wonderful series. Can I just say, that I LOVE Angel? What he did for Dane, and what how the men came together for Angel's birthday brought tears to my eyes. I am ready for Clint and Axel's book next. Now I gotta know how the stone cold killer cowboy, who strikes fear in the hearts of many, can melt, and become a partner to Axel. Looking forward to the next set of books.

ok I admit, I continued this series for Clint and Axel. I CAN NOT wait to read the book dedicated to the two of them.
Clint is a badass, and i love these kind of characters.
Axel, despite what he did in the past, (his behavior towards Angel and Maddy), is a good guy!

I finally got to finish this trilogy. I had take time away from it after my sister Vicki died. She got me into these and it was a our thing. I still miss her terribly, but reading this helped some.

We get Dane's healing in this book with Angel breaking through those walls that are holding him back from forgiving his self from their past. Dane was a victim too of that awful night on stage. He couldn't look past that and blamed his self for how Angel suffered.

Caleb and Abel helped Angel with the dance. It was rough and Dane fought it freaking out at first but with Cole, Gabe and Max's help of getting him on the stage with Angel to dance and take back the stage he had once loved he came through the other side.

We got to see more of Darius, Clint, Axel, Oliver, and his wife. She was wonderful and like a mom to Maddy and Savanah. Oh and Maddy agreed to be adopted by Max and Horatio which was the best. I can't wait to read more in this world. They are a great family. Angel's birthday was epic.

* 5 stars, perfect ending!*

What's not to love about this series? One of many series I have never bored to read.
This is #15 of the series and I craved more. Give me 50 more, I'll read it all.

This family Max has is an extraordinary family, and what they had been through all these years and 15 books on the road (phew!), finally, this one i a perfect ending. Though I will miss all the boys, and all the love they shared.
Still Max is the lucky one, but they're the luckiest having found Maxwell in their lives.

The boys deserved their HEA. Cole and Gabe are the guardian angel for all of them, with all their unconditional love for the family, especially Gabe and all his sacrificed for them.
Angel and Dane are finally let go of their nightmares, and Dane forgive himself from his past sins.

Max and Horatio built a perfect family with their new 'kids'.
And Carl and Lex (oh, bless that man,), they're finally got they're looking for.
As Abel and Devlin , Caleb and Samuel, good future await for them.
I'm still curious about Darius and Riley, Maddy and Savannah, and the trio Ricky, Tommy and Levi.

There's so much stories unfold, and I hope in the future, CJ make some stories about them.
We're still going to see a glimpse of them in the next book about Axel and Clint I hope. And as for Axel, I think he's in a good hand in the future.

I'm addicted to this series, one of the best cry in the world.
It was painful heartbreaking stories, but also heartwarming in the end.
You're going to have a hard ride, a roller coaster, but it's all worth the tears.
The boys will definitely stay with me forever!

Highly recommended!

Some of my favorite quotes:

"“You’ve totally got him wrapped around your little finger.”
Angel licked his lips and smiled. “I got him wrapped around something.” He looked at Abel and laughed.
“Shit,” Abel busted up. “And I bet he’s got you wrapped around something, too, huh?”

"The three half-naked boys dancing in the living room, bare torsos lightly glazed with sweat, bodies touching and moving in ways that completely short circuited Samuel’s brain – he wondered if he had died and gone to a heaven no one had told him about.

""I always remember your birthday, Angel And Maddy's,"He whispered, sudden emotion squeezing his words.
"They were the only days of the year that I ... prayed. The only days that I figured God would listen to someone like me.""

And of course, my reaction during my reading...

This review contains no specific spoilers. Phoenix Reborn (The Phoenix Chronicles part 3) is a triumphant celebration of family, forgiveness, and, most of all, love.

For new readers, I highly recommend The Phoenix Chronicles, of which this, Phoenix Reborn, is the third and final part. The author provides new readers with needed details into each character’s past for the challenges and issues faced in the Chronicles to make sense and be successfully resolved. (On a personal note, I can’t imagine reading the Phoenix Chronicles without immediately wanting to know the detailed backstories of these wonderful characters! See my other reviews for more details on those.)

For CJ’s long-time readers (since the very first introduction to the Phoenix Club with Abel (trilogy, or in 3 parts), Phoenix Reborn is the perfect culmination of everything that came before. Fans following the series from the beginning know the deep, heart-breaking, heart-wrenching, sometimes violent, often brutal, lives of these characters, and have been with each as they have been able to rise above their pasts.

For all readers, love continues to bloom, acquaintances have grown into friendships, and new characters have become full members of the Phoenix family. And when three of them hatch a plan to help one of their own heal – WOW! CJ Bishop excels at balancing multiple plots and a multitude of characters. Whether making lunch or making love, every scene moves the story forward. And real-life details (such as popping the top off a Snapple) help me, as a reader, sink further into the characters and their stories.

In a busy life, pulled in many directions, I love a book that makes me laugh, cry, and lose track of time without regretting it after and Phoenix Reborn does exactly that and more. Above all, Phoenix Reborn, left me smiling. I’m sad that this is the end of the core series (although I’m hopeful we’ll see more of these characters!), but I’m feeling the love of each couple, and believing in their happily ever afters, and this is why I read romance novels! And, BTW, did I mention that there’s smokin’ hot sex and lots of it?!?!

Although I have been reading another series, that I LOVE (The Hammer Series, Sean Michael), when I found out Phoenix Reborn was released, I stopped right in the middle of a page, purchased it and began reading....that was 36 hours ago. It wasn't the only thing I've done, but I can honestly say reading this book is the only thing I have WANTED to do until I finished this morning. I was not disappointed, at all. The reviewer that said the Phoenix Club series is like crack....I 100% agree....whole-heartedly! I'm so happy that, for the most part, the boy's lives were wrapped up with a big, beautiful ribbon, just in time for Christmas. I'm so looking forward to continuing with the other books to come... the story for Clint and Axel, and of course, Maddy and Savannah. I'm also hopeful that we will get a story for Darius and Riley, as well as Christopher and Nick....although, I don't remember Nick being mentioned anywhere but towards the end of Max's journal entry. Lots more of the boys to love and look forward to in the coming year. I'm very thankful to CJ Bishop and her love of weaving a wonderful story to touch our lives. This series is a definite re-read over and over again! Enjoy!

What a fantastic end to an amazing series !!
Cole & Gabe are definitely the glue, when others are hurting or need help they are their giving them what they need, whether it be loving or words of wisdom.
Max & Horatio are the parents of them all, doing similar to Cole and Gabe but in a more laid back capacity.
Each and every couple, not just the main ones from the past series ( The Phoenix Club) but also the side characters such as Clint,Seth and Carl are given their HEA's too but not without overcoming a few hurdles first.
And then we have Maddy......This boy has been through so much at such a young age but is wiser beyond his years, especially when it comes to affairs of the heart ( his love of Savannah ) and forgiveness (Axel ), how he's evolved throughout the series is phenomenal, and he made me cry with how wise, forgiving and loving he truly is.
This has been an emotionally charged read, written in such a way that it pulls you in straight away. You feel every emotion each character goes through, you experience the highs and lows of each of them with them.
Absolutely FANTASTIC and well deserving of 5 stars if not more !!!

I hope you keep writing this story. These boys are some of the most loveable men to get lost with..Every book in this Series has me in tears and hoping that things are going to work out for the best in the end..I tend to stick with the m/f/m or close to that when reading erotica but when lately when I read books written like yours that show so much love and compassion it just seems to make me feel like I'm right there with everyone and my feeling just get lost in the book...Please keep up with the books and let me know what happens with the rest of the guys...

Love The Phoenix Books,

P.S. Would have given more stars but 5 was the most you could get...

Still wish I'd read this groups of books before The Cowboy Gangster but I was still able to enjoy it.

It gave a semi-satisfying continuing stories of the men of the Phoenix Club... semi-satisfying because those stories you never want to end, you just want to crawl into their lives and be there forever.

We got to see more into everyone's lives and how much they do to help and support each other... grant it some of their methods made no sense to me, but the idea that that type of love could exist is amazing.

I also loved how CJ Bishop could bring God into a story that makes my love for God so much stronger.

I loved the Phoenix Club series so read this follow up series. You need to have read the Club series to enjoy this one. In my opinion it's not quite as good. What I loved about the Club books was the combination of gripping angst ridden plots and the developing characters of the sexy men from the Club. Now this series tied up some lose ends & is more sex than plot, which is ok as I love the characters but the series doesn't really add anything new. Despite my criticism I still give 4 stars overall for the series.

I read on the authors fb page that this was a sum up about the different characters lives but if that's so I feel cheated. More characters were added and no real story about them were explained.
