Sacred Places:
Sometimes fated love requires some good old-fashioned magikal meddling.

Coyle O'Caha, a seven-hundred-year-old immortal, druid sorcerer, is a famed warrior among his kind and a legendary ladies' man--but that doesn't mean he hasn't spent his life looking for his soulmate. That one woman who will make him feel whole. When Deri walks into his seaside pub, clearly running from something or someone, it's all he can do to not sweep her off her feet and claim her right then and there. It's as if the goddess is mocking him. Not only is his mate immune to his charms and his magik, she's human.

Deri Sullivan's new boss has a Scottish lilt that makes her knees weak. The problem is he's a certified ladies' man. And she's sworn off those types--for good. If only she could stop dreaming about him in ways that would make any girl blush. See, she has a secret, and even if she wanted to let Coyle into her bed, she couldn't actually let him into her life. Witches and humans imply don't mix.

Goddess of the Grove
Sacred, worshiped...hunted.

All Korey O'Caha wants in his immortal life is to keep evil at bay, protect the witches he was destined to teach and to bed as many women as possible. He doesn't want love but he didn't plan on Gigi. Her very presence calls all he vowed sacred in life into question. She quickly becomes his reason for existing but can she ever fully accept him and who he is-a seven hundred year old immortal druid sorcerer? Will the secrets she's hiding be his undoing?

Gigi, the daughter of a great god, could not stand idly by and allow innocent druid children to be slaughtered. She intervened, placing them under her protection. In the end she was imprisoned in a place where time moved differently than here on earth. That was almost seven hundred years ago. Once freed, she ran as far from the old country as she could. Never did she expect to find ties to the land, let alone a man who stirs her blood the way Korey does.

As shadows from the past resurface, bringing news of an uprising, truth and passion ignite, leaving Gigi at the mercy of Korey.

Winter Solstice

Powerful, immortal, magikal and cursed to the shadows of the night. Gordon O’Caha, a seven-hundred-year-old druid sorcerer, fell in battle centuries ago. When he recovered, he found he wasn’t as he’d once been, purely magik. He was much, much more. Now, he shares his body with darkness—a demon gifted to him by the blood drinkers he’d been attacked by. His family and clan haven’t turned their back on him. It’s Gordon who has shut himself away from them. This hardened man does what he has to in order to survive—he drinks blood, feeds his sexual lust and exists. Nothing more. That is, until a sassy slip of a woman careens into him on the street, spilling her hot coco all over his groin. It’s literally hotter than he can handle. The minx isn’t what she appears to be and when her secrets are revealed, so is a dangerous plot.

Chelsy Riley is doing her best to get by. Her grandmother’s passing left her without family and with a tiny used bookstore to run. She thinks it’s as hectic as it can get. When she slams into a sexy, gruff man who seems oddly out of time and place, she learns what secrets her past holds and that her future is full of endless possibilities. That is, only if she doesn’t become a sacrifice for dark mages.

The Druid Series: An Immortal Highlander Box Set: Mandy M. Roth

Reviewed by SFF Dragon

Magic, Mayhem, Love, Laughter, Action, steamy bits and Happily Ever Afters... What more could you want?

I love this series, and to get all three books in one bargain price bundle is fantastic. Worth every penny and then some.

1 - Sacred Places (Druid Series, Book 1) - 5 Stars

A great start to a new series...I absolutely loved it.

The first in Mandy Roth's Druid series, I loved this book when I originally bought it in May 2014 and devoured it in one sitting. I've read it quite a few times since and every time I read it, I love it just as much as I did the first time.

The story is that of Deri, an immortal witch falsely accused of using her magic against a human. Framed for the crime by the seriously creepy Chad, a dark sorcerer who preys on witches and who kept hitting on her. She kept turning him down and this was his revenge. Everyone believed Chad's version of what happened, even her own family. Sentenced to years of being unable to use her magic or contact anyone from her past, and still stalked by Chad, a grieving Deri goes to Grove Bluff, a small east coast tourist town she'd passed through as a child and which had made a lasting impression on her. It felt safe, and she needed that right now. She gets a job at the local pub, The Dagger's Edge, where the Landlord, Coyle, makes her knees go weak every time she sees or hears him, and settles down to a life of unrequited love in the quaint seaside town.

Coyle O'Caha is a 700 year old Druid sorcerer, warrior and supposed ladies man who has spent his life looking for his soulmate. He trains new witches, protects humans, sits on the High Council of Magiks, hunts dark sorcerers and demons, runs his pub, and in his spare time, he saves fallen Oak trees and carves them into beautiful objects. When Deri walks into his pub, The Dagger's Edge, looking for a job, she makes the magical wards around the place shake and Coyle thinks he's finally found his 'one'. He wants to claim her immediately, but she's masked her magic so well, he thinks she's human and he was mistaken. Then his cousin Korey jokes about his womanising, Deri hears him, and a very different kind of relationship begins. Friendship of the purely platonic kind, if you discount the steaming hot dreams.

This is the way of their lives, until 3 years later.... No spoilers, you really need to read the book. Yes, this is a short read, but as usual Mandy has packed a lot of information into a small space. Written with her usual humour, action and great characters, there is so much background information that I don't feel like I've missed out on anything.

Full of humour, action and steamy bits, I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a really good paranormal romance to fill a few hours.

2 - Goddess of the Grove (Druid Series, Book 2) An Immortal Highlander Novella - 5 Stars

I love Mandy Roth's books, she's one of my all-time favourite authors and I originally bought this in April 2014, when it was the second book in the Sacred Places series, because I loved the third book so much. Yes, I actually read them in reverse order, but they can easily stand alone and I didn't feel like I'd missed out on anything because of it. The first two books have been redone or revised and re-edited and have now been released as the Druid Series and I loved 'Goddess of the Grove' just as much as I loved 'Sacred Places' and have read this one quite a few times too.

Korey O'Caha is a 700 year-old Druid Sorcerer who, along with his cousin Coyle, fights evil, protects humanity, trains new witches, and likes to think of himself as a womaniser. But, the sad truth is that he's had a thing for Gigi, one of the waitresses in his cousin's seaside pub for over four years. He really likes and wants her, but thinks she's human, which in his world means she can't actually be his mate, no matter how badly he wishes she was. But he doesn't want anyone else.

Gigi is a Goddess in hiding having escaped her uncle's prison and the daily torture and pain he inflicted on her because she refused to allow him to slaughter innocents and gave her protection to a Druid village 700 years ago. Time moves at different rates between here and there, but all is explained in the book. Gigi really likes and wants Korey, but thinking he's human, she's afraid to get involved with him any more than she already is and put him at risk from her pycho uncle.

Gigi and Korey have met before without either of them realising it and I loved the story of how they first met. I loved the characters in this book and found the Friday night movie sessions really sweet. I really like all the other characters too, with the exception of the totally insane uncle.

This is a terrific paranormal romance with some steamy bits, humour, action, death and destruction, as well as some really great twists I didn't expect, along with the HEA that's always in Mandy's books. There are no cliff-hangers here. Each book in the series can easily be read as a stand alone and Mandy always packs so much background into the story that I never feel like I've missed anything by not reading the previous books. I actually started reading this series with book three, Winter Solstice, having read a trailer for it at the end of another book, and bought the first two books because I loved it so much.

This is a great book with unexpected twists that you really need to read for yourself.

3 - Winter Solstice (Druid Series, Book 3) - 5 Stars

I originally bought this book in April 2013 and absolutely loved it. I devoured it in one sitting, and have read it time and again since then, but I don't generally post reviews for books I've bought because I'm too engrossed in the story to make notes. This one is no different, grabbing me on the first page and not letting me go until I'd read the last one. Written with Mandy's usual sense of humour, it has action, steam and a happily ever after for Gordon and Chelsy.

Gordon O'Caha, powerful, immortal, magical and oh yeah, vampire, had just finished a quick meal and used compulsion to get the cop nearby to notice his meal now needed help when someone crashes into him, spilling hot cocoa on his groin, but he doesn't even really notice. Why would he when the person apologising and trying to clean him off is his mate. But she isn't quite what she appears to be, or thinks she is, and she's in grave danger.

Chelsy Riley is doing her best to get by. The death of her grandmother left her without family and with a tiny used bookstore to run, as well as being guardian of her grandmother's archive of rare books one of which she foolishly decides to dust off and put on display in the shop. She should have been taught about herself and the books by her mother, but the responsibility fell to her grand-mother, and there wasn't time. When she bumps into a strange guy and tips her hot chocolate down his pants, she learns the secrets of her past and the potential future that awaits her, but only if she doesn’t become a sacrifice for dark mages. It's a good thing Gordon is one of the good guys and he has powerful relatives who want him to come home and jump at the chance to help.

I absolutely loved all the books in this set and despite originally reading them in reverse order, there's so much background in each story that they can easily be read as stand alones, each with their own happily ever after and I never felt like I was missing out on anything.

Read this a long long time ago. It was so good just reread it and realized my review was missing. Fabulously written. Full of angst, drama, action, smexiness and plenty of WTF. Each story is separate but reads greatly one after the other.

Sacred Places - Deri is a witch, who has been banned from using her magik or contacting her family after her former boyfriend, Chad, used Magik that harmed a human, and promptly blamed her for it. Paranormal Bureau of Investigations enforces the sanctions and she ends up in Grove Bluff, a town she's passed through years ago and had felt at home in.

Coyle is the owner of the pub Deri goes to looking for work. He is a 700 year old, tattooed, Scottish Druid, who protects the local humans from things that go bump in the night.

I thought the story was great, I've never really read anything about Druids before. However I thought the confrontation with Chad was kind of short and could have been more in-depth. The story is short but there could have been a bit more on this as there was a chunk explaining Deri's background.

It is a quick break from reality with a sexy Highlander (as a Scot I sometimes found the word usage a bit weird but this will fill your nothing that would put me off. Sexy rolls off the page with Coyle and looking forward to the others in the series.

Goddess of the Grove - Korey is the cousin of Coyle from book 1 - Sacred Places. He is also an immortal Druid sorcerer, with a serious thing for the very human (or so he thinks)Gigi.

Gigi is a waitress in the bar that his cousin owns. She is hiding some major secrets and will not let any harm come to those she loves so is keeping everyone, including Korey, at arms length. They have some major fantasies on both sides and when someone from her past turns up to warn her of impending doom, Korey will do anything to protect the one he loves.

I loved the movie night they both endure just so they can be near each other - so cute!!!!

This is a neat little story and leads on well to the 3rd part - Winter Solstice. There is action and a few sex scenes, enough for everyone

Winter Solstice - Gordon O’Caha, a 700 yr old druid sorcerer, fell in battle centuries ago. When he recovered, he found he'd been bitten by a vampire. He hates what he has become and ostracises himself from his family , even though they still love him and believe he is still the good man he once was at heart.

Chelsy is missing her grandmother, who has passed on, and now runs the family bookstore. She careens into Gordon on the street, spilling her cocoa all over his... groin. When she brings him to the store to clean himself up, he finds that she is not quite as normal human as she thinks. Her grandmother once told her shoe would marry a vampire, which she put down to her gran being a bit batty. However, there are dark mages on her trail who want to sacrifice her in some ritual or other.

I really did love Chelsy, she just kind of takes things in her stride, must come from all the books she reads LOL. It would have been nice to see more of the ritual that Chelsy was evading but other than that it was a compact little gem of a story

Mandy M. Roth proves that she is an author who is here to stay. Every time I log on amazon I see her Immortal Ops series that is spanning over a 10 yr period and is still topping the amazon charts for each new addition.

This series is no different, except it is a very different world. I loved the first book Sacred Places. I expected to hate Coyle, but wound up loving him. Deri was a great character. The description given for this book is nothing as to what it contains. I never saw some of it coming.
The second book with Korey and Gigi...ok with a name like Gigi, I expected singing with a french accent, what I got was a story that I wanted more of. Book three was shorter than I wanted it to be, but sometimes characters just don't cooperate and do what they want.

This is an awesome buy from a really great author. You cannot go wrong with buying for yourself or gifting.

I enjoyed this series sooo much. If you are a lover of paranormal (witches and Druids and magical beings) then this is definitely for you. With misunderstanding and laughter, longing and fights....of course don't forget the steamy sex scenes. I wasn't able to put the book down until I finished it all.
You get to see the characters grow over the series and yes, still love, laugh and want to slap them silly sometimes.
I loved especially that they weren't long books as I was able to finish in a couple of hours at bedtime (no kids to interrupt)

I absolutely love paranormal romance novels involving Druids! This series is so much fun! There's nothing sexier than 700 year old immortal men falling on their arses upon first glance of their mates!

This boxed set is super HOT, very dramatic, and contain HEAs for each of the tatted, muscled, powerful Druids!

Five stars!

a woman walks into a bar ,,, no this is not a joke, she walks in and changes the owners life, he has been alive for thousands of years and his mate just walks in now just to keep him being a druid sorcerer, she has secrets of her own. this box set shows even old magic needs a woman's love and touch, it doesn't hurt when she has her own

All I can say is way to short

These 3 short stories were rich but as I said, WAY to short. Especially the last one..

That being said I loved them! The interplay between the characters was well written and fun, even if a villain or 2 popped in.

Please tell me there are more stories than this. I totally love this series. I really did want to smack Kory though. Idiot. But I really want more about Gordon and Chelsy. They were adorable!

Whilst the beginning starts off well it quickly appears that he story line is lacking greatly and it quickly moves to a book which feels rushed and only about sex and then abruptly ends.. The second just repeats a similar story line.. Do not recommend

This was boxed set of 3 immortal highlanders. It was good. I enjoyed each book but thought it was too short. I would like to have seen more to each story, and thought it hastily put together. I enjoy all of Mandy Roth's books so I would recommend this series too.
