Alexandra Moody's BookTok sensation DARLING DEVILS series is back with the most devilish Darling brother of all — in a wholesome, banter-filled ice-hockey romance perfect for fans of Hannah Grace, slow-burn chemistry, and happily ever afters!
She's ready to take a shot at her goals. He doesn't realize that his heart is wide open . . .
Parker Darling is ready to take center ice now that his older brothers have left to play hockey in college. He shows up to the first practice ready to be team captain of the Ransom Devils, only to find a new coach at the rink—one who already hates Parker for a dumb mistake he made years ago. A mistake he made with the help of Coach Foster's daughter, Mackenzie.
Kenzie Foster loves hockey, too, and she's a ruthless goalie. If only her dad hadn't forbidden her from playing—not that she'd want to be on any team with that arrogant jerk Parker Darling. She can't believe she's stuck on the bench at a new school, watching the Devils struggle to win without the force of all three Darling brothers.
Parker hates losing, and when the Devils' star goalie is cut, he knows he has to step up and lead the team back to greatness. Kenzie, meanwhile, sees a wide-open net and an unused uniform just waiting to prove her dad wrong. They'll need to work together to reach their goals—without getting too close to making another big mistake.

WE'RE FINALLY GETTING PARKER'S BOOK!!!! 2026 CAN NOT COME SOONER
4.5💫 First order of business, chapter 1 is dead to me and I’m pretending like it never happened. BESIDES THAT you’re telling me he’s a playboy but he had eyes for only her when he met her? AND it’s enemies to lovers??? Say no more.
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷pre-read hopefully going to go buy this tomorrow 🤞🫡
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ pre-release YESSSS WE FINALLY GET PARKER!!!!! He may be my new fav after this (SORRY REED STILL LOVE YOU!) And the way they look into each other’s eyes!! Caught my single pringle self blushing. ☺️
its a long day. you just watched a high school hockey game and you want to leave bc school that week when a commotion breaks out. wondering why, you turn around and regret it. because one of your classmates, a hockey player is butt crack naked in the lobby. with nothing but a scarf (mind you we dont know how big uh this scarf is).
ᴡɪʟᴅ ᴅᴀʀʟɪɴɢ I loved this book so much and I honestly didnt think that I would which breaks my heart because I loved the rest of the series but I did end up coming around at the 2nd half of the book. I loved all of the representation we got with the women in hockey because I do think that women in sports isn’t talked about enough but its rare to see a female playing hockey in a mens league it almost never happens and I loved the fact that she was a goalie. The only thing I had a love hate relationship with is the fact that Parker was essentially told to back off from protecting her (Mind you this is the same girl that punched him in about the second chapter so she was more than capable of protecting herself) but generally most players are protective of their goalie but I loved that Parker was trying to protect her even though she did not need it in the SLIGHTEST. I also loved the cameos we got in this book (Grayson my baby ilysm) but it was just good to be back in Ransom. I do totally recommend this series because I am extremely picky with my hockey romances and I love this series. Side note: Parker calling Mackenzie different names reminded me of Practice Makes Perfect by Sarah Adams and how Annie is always trying to guess Will’s name.
🏒𝒫𝒶𝓇𝓀ℯ𝓇 😈 I didnt LOVE Parker in his brothers books because he was very playboy ish to me and I just generally don’t like that hockey players are perceived that way (although some are) I loved that we got to see him actually falling in love instead of going from girl to girl. I also loved that we got to see his art and how he was reluctant to share his art with Mackenzie. Also HE LIKES MARIAH CAREY?!? I loved the part where he was singing obsessed( looking back this would have been a better song choice but I thought that into you would have been a better choice because of their history together) I also loved that we saw a more emotional side of Parker without his brothers and the expectations that were put on him to play as the lone Darling Devil and live up to the name but I also loved how she wrote the team bonding scenes. But I liked Parker in his own book way more than his brothers.
🎧𝓜𝓪𝓬𝓴𝓮𝓷𝔃𝓲𝓮🥅 I loved Mackenzie so much, she reminded me of my best friend because she had such a bold personality but also very gentle once you got to know her. I loved that was able to get past her overprotective dad and play the game (although once I understood her dad’s reasoning for being that way I understood a little bit more) I do think her dad was being fair about the rules for parker considering Mackenzie’s history with him. I loved that her and Parker bonded over art and hockey because in truth sports (especially hockey) can help you find the one you love. I have had it happen to me twice (platonically and romantically) but regardless I loved the way that their chemistry was written especially as an enemies to lovers plot line.
(I NEED CAMMIES BOOK AND BASED OFF THIS BOOK I THINK ITS GOING TO BE BROTHERS BEST FRIEND OR HER FALLING IN LOVE WITH HER SKATING PARTNER IDK I JUST NEED IT NOW)
i love Parker so much. he's sarcastic, chaotic, and really earns the title of "wild" Darling. but i loved his determination. the way he wanted to bring the team closer together. a also really liked how Parker never once doubted Mackenzie. he wanted her on the team because he knew she was good enough and deserved that sport just as much as any of the guys.
going into this, i thought i wouldn't like Mackenzie but i ended up really liking her. she was relatable, strong and really matched Parker's attitude. they knew how to hand each other's personalities and they just worked well together.
i liked how their relationship when from "i hate you" to "i don't mind you, but i still have to hate you" to "i wish i hated you, but i actually love you."
there were also some good quotes in this book. one of my favourite was Parker's analogy about music:
"Have you ever hated a song the first time you heard it? And then the more it comes on the radio, the more it drives you insane? But then after a while, you start humming it everywhere you go. You know all the words. It's on all your playlists. And somehow, despite everything you thought before, it becomes your favourite song?" "Mackenzie is my song."
now, an explanation of why it wasn't 5 stars. as much as i loved this book, it just didn't have the 5 star kick. the ending felt rushes and cut short. i would have loved to see more of parker and mackenzie together after everything they went through. the pacing toward the end was too fast for my liking.
still, this was a really enjoyable read. it was light and a good clean enemies to lovers romance. i hope we get a book about Cammie, the youngest Darling, because i love her. (grumpy darling will forever by my favourite)
I really loved Parker though out this whole book and its a perfect light read. parkers character development was done really well. however I felt like the ending was really abrupt and unfinished, I would of loved to see more of parker and Kenzie. I also feel like Kenzie's conflict with her dad wasn't portrayed well. I feel like if your not talking to your father for weeks it would have a much larger affect on you than shown in the book, it was mentioned a few times but it just felt bushed over. overall I think is a good book but I'm going to have to stick with the second one in the series being my favourite.
4.25 ⭐️ omg I literaly couldn’t put this book down it was so addicting! I am in love with this series and I pray that cammie gets a book! I also absolutely loved the women in sports representation and kenzie is an icon
Pre Read! I loved Rival Darling and Grumpy Darling and I can’t wait to read Parker’s book! (Reed is my favorite brother tho lol tho Grayson is also really sweet)
Okay... genuinely what happened? I absolutely love The Darling Devil series, but this disappointed me. Starting off strong, what happened to Parker? I mean, sure, he was supposed to be wild and crazy and silly, but now he just comes across as immature, selfish, and kind of entitled. Plus, cocky characters never did it for me. Secondly, why are there so many nude things, and suggestive content? Sure, it's not spicy, but I don't like how we have to include these things in a YA book, keep in mind, for teenagers. And sure, teenagers typically like those things, but I don't, and I know so many other people don't as well. I felt no chemistry between either Parker or Kenzie, and I honestly can't stand either of them for holding onto a grudge for something that happened, four. years. ago. Like cmon, grow up. The tension and hatred was for basically nothing, and it didn't make sense. Also, what happened with Alexandra Moody's writing? This book didn't read, or sound, like Rival Darling or even Grumpy Darling. It was confusing, and the writing felt stiff. The only thing I did like about this book was Kenzie. Because at least she was cool ish. It sucks because I had high hopes, and was once again let down.
I absolutely loved the playful banter between Parker and Mackenzie, this book definitely inspires people that they can do anything that they put their heart and mind into, I can't wait for Cammie's side of her story, I hope it's between her and Seth ifykyk 😉 I always love reading guys that have that playful quirky personality that has a soft compassionate side as well, overall 5/5 stars, I also loved the older ladies at the end 😂
I loved them so much🥹 Alexandra Moody’s writing will never get old💕 Parker literally like a baby in my head and I love him! The only thing I could say is that I wanted more ending. Like it felt like a really quick ending. But other than that it was fantastic and I loved them. They were honestly probably my favorite couple in the series
