Okay listen—I knew I was in for some heat with Falling for My Ex’s Dad by Ava Hawkes, but I didn’t expect to catch feelings along the way. And yet… here I am. Blushing, swooning, and absolutely cheering for Jonny and all his sexy, silver-fox swagger.
From my point of view? I went in looking for a spicy little fling between a curvy, confident woman and the last man she should be undressing—but what I got was so much more. There’s something intoxicating about that moment when Jonny is just a handsome stranger, dripping with that smooth, grown-man energy. And oh honey, when the slow-burn turns into a wildfire? I needed to set the book down and go hydrate.
Then the bomb drops. That ex we’ve all mentally set on fire? Yeah. That’s Jonny’s son. Cue the gasp, the angst, the gut-punch realization—and yet, I was still rooting for them. Because their connection? It’s not just steamy. It’s deep. It’s emotional. It’s earned.

They have a hot one-night stand that leads to more...unfortunately, unbeknownst yet to either of them, Jonny is her ex's (Tyler) dad. When they find out, both are shocked and know they should pull back. But they have hot chemistry and a deep emotional connection. Can they make it work? Tyler surprised me and the ending was so happy. I loved it.

What a story this is. And it’s my first time reading Ava Hawkes and I’m disappointed at all.
Jonny went bar called The Badger’s Den and that’s where he met Bree where she work as bartender. They quickly get attracted to each other. Their flirting and funny banter had me laughing. Their instant chemistry. There was a slight awkwardness when Bree and Jonny discovered that Tyler was Bree’s ex bf and was Jonny’s son but at the end they got together. I’m so happy to see that Tyler didn’t make it difficult for them. He accepted them happily. It was a quick good read.

This is my first book by this author and I'm hooked! It takes a special person to be able to write a 70 something page book and have it be better than some full length books I've been reading lately. I could have read hundreds of more pages about Bree and Jonny because their chemistry, bond and banter were EVERYTHING. I wholeheartedly believe you can fall in love in a few weeks of knowing someone if the connection is there. Sometimes if you know you just know and they both make me believe that even more. When Jonny walked into the bar and saw the beautiful Bree behind the counter after him being away for decades working on a rig the most he expected to come out of their flirting was a one night stand given the age gap and him just coming home to settle down and build a family as well as better his relationship with his son. What he got was a soumate instead. Bree didn't expect her hot one night stand with the gorgeous buff tattooed Jonny to turn into two nights and then three and so much more. They were having fun but that fun started turning into them looking into the future and seeing each other. The only thing standing in their way? Jonny's son who they find out casually dated Bree for six months ages ago. Both feel guilty and realize what they had may be over before it could even fully begin. Except the chemistry they have makes it hard to keep their hands to themselves and their hearts from feeling more. The author did so well showing how deep their bond got and how bad they felt about how Tyler, Jonny's son, would react. Tyler surprised me with how amazing he was and I really loved him and how he handled Bree and Jonny together so much so I'd love for him to have his own story. This was a beautiful, steamy and passionate short story that had me hooked from the beginning and ready to read more of this author's books!.

The book series I’m reviewing today is titled, Falling for My Ex's Dad which is written by Ava Hawkes. This is my first story that I read by this author and I throughly enjoyed it! This story was sweet, sexy, and charmingly tender. While it’s a shorter story , it doesn’t have any shortage on heart or heat. Solid trying up the story with a perfect happily ever after.

New to me author Ava Hawkes did not disappoint. Age gap romance about a soon to be college graduate and a man who just wants a calmer life after a career in an oil rig. Well written and interesting. I can’t wait to see what else Ava puts out.
