Razor's Property

Rate this book
Regret is a brutal companion.

It gnaws at your insides, steals your breath and leaves you with nothing but silence. That’s why I left. I needed space. Needed time to breathe. To figure out how to survive the pain.

But the loneliness has a way of finding me— dragging old memories back into the light. My thoughts becoming too heavy to bear. So I did what I always do when the guilt gets too loud. I went in search of a distraction, something to numb the ache.

Instead… I found my past.

The source of my pain standing right in front of me. Dancing up on the stage. Moving like sin. Seducing every man in the room.

She’s not supposed to be here. She’s supposed to be off chasing her dreams, making something of herself. Not stripping her dignity away for tips. That ever-pressing feeling creeps in, and jealousy consumes my thoughts.

She’s mine.

No one is allowed to look. No one is allowed to touch. Whether she wants me to or not, I’m going to keep her safe. I’m going to take care of her.

But… hatred protects her heart. An armor so thick it’s impenetrable.

I don’t know how to get past her walls. Don’t know how to get her to let me in. All I know is that I’m done living without her. I won’t go back to the loneliness. I won’t go back to the pain.

Even if it means locking her away with me.

I think the problem with this book is that you were told not shown… so it lost all of the gut punch. All of the angst was lost in the narrative… we were told the H was cia 8 years ago—so in addition those angsty feels were watered down by years of separation. I want to be immersed in the angsty feelings when I read this trope. Also I thought her Moms house that she’s been living in for 6 years was next door to the Hs grandparents?? So it doesn’t make sense how he hasn’t heard anything gossip about her mother being sick and dying… I mean they were childhood bffs since they were 8… meh I liked the first half fine but then it got boring.

I think this will be enjoyable enough for anyone that likes MC books. Though they're supposedly one percenters they don't act like it. So I think the author shouldn't have called them a gang because that's not what they were or acted like. Reader's will probably be frustrated because it's such a short read, and the characters maybe not fully developed, but I enjoyed it for what it was up until around 85%. Two reasons I took off two stars. First being how fast the h Kensington changed her mind about the MC. She's all of a sudden salivating over it even though a paragraph before she was against it. It's a novella so I kind of understand, but still didn't enjoy it. Second she becomes bff's with the stripper Kitty from the beginning of the story. Kitty was panting over the H even telling the h he was coming to see her strip. Giving her the impression he was hands off for her. So that came out of left field at the end. Yuck.

Safety: cheating when they're 18. He cheats with two sweetbutts as they're called here. On page through memory. H Sean never goes after her because he thinks he's not good enough. 8 year's separation until he sees her at a strip club. She's desperate for money of course. h is celibate for 8 year's though she slept with guy's in college before everything went to shit for her. H is celibate for two year's in the present, but before that he was having lot's of fun with the sweetbutts. His words. He only went after her in the present because he saw her stripping. Other than that piece of fate he never would have. But their HEA was convincing enough.

I love stories of betrayal and groveling. This is a MC romance about Razor and Kensington. He betrayed her a long time ago and years later he finds her working in a str!p club. And he definitely wants her back. Will Kensington be able to forgive and forget what happened to them in the past. He had cheated on her years ago and it was a low blow when she witnessed it firsthand. I love a second chance romance with a side of groveling.

Eek! If you don’t like to read about cheating, then you probably won’t like this. (Spoilers ahead) This was a short read.

H and h were childhood sweethearts. They’ve always been in love. When H turned 18, he got involved with the MC club. h was not happy about his involvement (she was actually a little snobby about it but considering what happened, I get it )

H wanted her to come to his birthday party at the club and she said no. Later, she showed up. He was kissing one woman while another woman was giving him a BJ. Even though he saw h, he still finished his “release” (nice guy 😩)
She ran from the party. It still took him over 2 hours to come see her and then he has the nerve to blame her (later he explains he was really drunk and the guys had been joking about him and he felt pressured)

8 years pass and he goes into a strip club (he’s been celibate for 2 years) but he still goes to watch. 🤷‍♀️
Guess who is the newest, most popular stripper? Yep, h.
H is shocked because he thought she would be somewhere successful.

So what’s a guy to do when he wants his woman back? He kidnaps her 😬🤪

The rest of the book is the MCs trying to work things out.
His dixk is hard, A LOT.

There’s a HEA

Not really my vibe

If this were longer I would've given it one star, which I very rarely do. Because it's a novella I can be more understanding with the pacing, but it doesn't explain the content. Dude literally kidnaps her and forces her to give him lap dances, while also insisting that the biker gang he joined isn't made up of criminals (they're good men, he's a good man!).

Maybe the author doesn't know what "one-percenters" means, considering the hero also calls his biker gang that. One-percenters doesn't refer to biker gangs in general, it's the one-percent that actually are involved in criminal activity and are considered outlaw biker gangs. So I was pretty confused when Razor suddenly started insisting that they were just one big happy family of vigilantes trying to clean up the streets, but also he has hundreds of thousands of dollars in liquidity he can use to pay off the heroine's debt??? Sorry, he got that kind of money stopping people from selling drugs? If only the world worked like that.

I'm not invested enough to go back through and get quotes to prove my point, but just know that both the hero and heroine were dumb as a bag of bricks and I forced myself to finish this since it was so short anyway.

Landry Hill gives a story of pain, regret, hope, and redemption in Razor’s Property. She holy on a hope many of us feel to be chosen over anything else. To be more important to someone than anything else. To be desired above all. She writes how it feels to have that hope smashed, be betrayed, and feel despair. And she writes on fighting back to conquer the demons in our heads, heal the scars that cover us, and becoming whole again.

In a sensual tale, Razor betrayed Kensington when he first joined the Savage Knights MC. Her refusal to accept this part of him led him to giving into some sweetbutts who wanted to make him feel good for his birthday. He regretted that choice every day of the last 8 years. He hated himself and couldn’t see her ever loving him again. So when he finds her dancing for a living, in danger, he refuses to let her continue.

We watch healing take place and love winning in the end. The how is perfect. The why even better. Razor and Kensington bring the sunshine.

This book has something I don’t normally read buuuut I read everything from this author and I loved this book!

Kens is amazing! I felt so bad for her, she’s strong though and does not back down. Razor made me mad but I will say I love the grovel and growth with him!

"ɪꜱ ᴛʜᴀᴛ ᴍʏ ʜᴇᴀʀᴛ ɪꜱ ʏᴏᴜʀꜱ. ᴀɴᴅ ɴᴏ ᴏɴᴇ ᴄᴀɴ ᴛᴀᴋᴇ ᴛʜᴀᴛ ᴀᴡᴀʏ ꜰʀᴏᴍ ʏᴏᴜ."

There’s so much chemistry between these two is was beautiful to read about….and hot! The spice was amazing. Razor will do anything for her…I just love that. I’m pretty obsessed with these two and I’m SOOOO excited for the rest of this series!

"𝗬𝗼𝘂'𝗿𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗮 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝗺𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁."

If you want a sweet, emotional second change romance with lots of redemption and growth you’ll love this book!

Romantic

Second chance gone right. Years of pain and resentment turned into one of the sweetest and most romantic story for this bad boy and feisty FMC. Yes, he messed up and yes, she forgave him and both were able to heal in the end. On top of portraying a sweet romance it's also a testament that real love heals and forgives, even when the ending is not always what we expect. In their case, it was a good ending, in real life I would have made a different decision from what Ken's decided but! I do would have agreed to forgive in order to heal and grow in life. This is a short and enjoyable read, if you want MC vibes, low spice, second chance and a angsty slow burn then I recommend this book, happy reading!

I did not expect that al all!! What a fabulous little number !! If you looking for a top notch GROVEL book this is it!!

For a book on the shorter side this packed a real punch for me. The depth of tension & chemistry between these two characters was 100% . At first his alpha dominance I thought was over the top but it developed into something so heartbreakingly emotional I was blown away.

The deep guilt & regret razor had for what he did to her years ago was so strong I felt his pain. This is I guess you could say 50% SAFE as the crime was committed off page and in the past .
I felt betrayal for her when she described how her heart was ripped from her when these two collided in chaos when they were younger .

Like I said - packed a punch! A stunning book of second chance

This was a new to me author and while second chance romance is one of my least favorite tropes, I did enjoy the writing and story. It was done really well.
I did not like Kensington throughout most of the book however. She seemed too self centered and it was all about her. Also she seemed pretty manipulative to me. I will admit she did redeem herself in the end.
There was almost no club action and very minimal introduction to other members.

I look forward to reading on in this series. It's become very difficult to find MC romance authors who engage me enough that I want to continue their series past the first book.

A Good Straightforward Read

I’ll be honest it wasn’t quite what I was expecting, it felt a little short to me and wouldn’t hurt to have had more in depth knowledge of both FMC & MMC’s lives. As is often the case with the club events it felt like coming in half way through a different story but that’s not a bad thing it gives the feel of the MC characters being firmly established.
I did expect some 3rd act drama but that didn’t happen and frankly it was nice to avoid the cliche. I expect that over the course of the series that readers will get to know the characters better, making the series bigger than just individual stories.

Razor’s Property by @authorlandryhill
Another 5⭐️ read… but are you surprised? I’m not! I will gobble up anything by Landry and love every second! This one was so good! Glad to be back in the land of Savage Knights! Razor made a huge mistake back in the day, and has regretted it ever since. So what does he do when she won’t listen? Kidnaps her to make her listen! Real life red flag, but oh-so-juicy in books! Keep these bangers coming, Landry, and I’ll continue to be your biggest cheerleader! 🥰

I wanted to love it

Grovel is my favorite trope, but this didn't do it for me. He gave nothing and lost nothing. He cheated, but it's ok heno felt really bad about it. So we are back together and live HEA. No character growth, just a selfish man that wants what he wants. The joy of grovel is realizing she was worth more than what he wanted to chase. In the end he still defended the club over her and his family. After 8 years and a loss he will part ways if she demands, but he's still acknowledging her place in the beginning is secondary to the club. Pass

Book is Ok - Everything wrapped up in a weekend after them being apart for years.

Opens with the MMC at a strip club. See the FMC has not seen her in years. They grew up beside each other and she was always there for him until he cheated on her.

MMC Cheating is shown in a flashback
He started with the MC she was not happy about it. Goes to see him at the clubhouse and he is with two other girls, one is giving him a BJ.

Present time he kidnaps her to his cabin eventually they work it out, all is good. She is now good with the MC because she realizes they do good

Honestly this book wasn’t a bad book it’s just that I couldn’t grow past my dislike of Razor. His I’m making this happen even if she doesn’t want it to attitude. I get it he messed up and he wanted to make it right but still I guess I was just pissed at him for that and it was hard to get past it. Also I feel like there was more drama that could have been brought in by the strip club but I also know it was a short book and there wasn’t room for that. Not sure about the remainder of the series I may keep it on the TBR for when I want a quick fast read.

I almost forgot to write my review 😱 but I finished Razor’s property in a matter of hours 🤣 IT WAS SOOOOOO GOOD! I can’t not wait for Skully 😢I’m so excited to read his story! As for Razor and Kensy? Their story touch me! I love how they never stopped loving each other. I will admit I wasn’t too excited about the infidelity at first but like the pro she is, Landry handled it beautifully! Thank you Landry for another great read!!! 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/5

MC romance

Not sure I was going to like this afternoon Razor's betrayal. I'm so glad Kensington didn't make it easy for him. She made him grovel. And then when she tried to tell him to leave his brothers, I was distraught for him. Luckily it all worked out for the best. Can't wait to read the rest!

Buckle up for a wild ride filled with betrayal, forgiveness, and some serious groveling! Razor and Kensington's story is a twisty turny tale that'll keep you on the edge of your seat. He cheated, but now he's back and willing to do whatever it takes to win her back. I devoured this steamy short story - my first time reading Landry Hill - and I'm already craving more sexy bikers!

I read this in one sitting. It was SOOOO Good! Exactly what I needed to get out of my book slump. I was rooting for Razor, but I’m glad Kensy didn’t make it easy for him. This was so hot and I was fanning myself in parts. Such a good quick read.

Has the cheating trope. If it wasn’t a novella I would have DNF’d. I’m glad she didn’t forgive him right away but I kind of wish she didn’t forgive him at all.
