My Thoughts
This story keeps getting better and better, with a growing animosity between Malcolm and Victoria, yet where there's hate, there's always hot passion right? We see the journey continue with these two when Mal forces Victoria to do his bidding - giving her literally no choice at all in the matter, and as a result ,there's progress being made - she's starting to uncover new tracks to find Malcolm's daughter. How they are going to get her back and actually find her - well we don't quite get there in this 2nd installment.
The 2nd book is often the bridge - the one that continues the journey just enough to keep you interested, giving you the set up to something great in the next, and i think that we have that here. Like the title says - Secrets begin to be exposed, yet the way that our author writes in things, we don't ever really get a full sense of what those secrets are and what they mean. In actuality, we find that there's a lot of stuff that Malcolm won't tell Victoria - 'to keep her safe'. So that means that there's going to be danger and fear and all of that great stuff.
At the same time as all of that though, there's a chemistry between these 2 that you know is going to be explosive - based on how they related during book 1 when they just met, and how they just love to hate each other. their sceneing is hot - and i think that there's something really sexy about a woman who knows exactly who she is and what she wants, while having a man who's exactly the same way.
We get a GREAT cliff hanger here - there's an explosion, murders and a bit of a fear of who's going to survive and who's behind what. That's what i think is perfect about this story - you really want to get the next one and read it fast. so....Enjoy!

WOWW !! What a roller-coaster wild ride !! This second book was indeed a close step to the end of Malcolm and Victoria's heart stopping story but alas !! the end was not to be ..what a horrible cliff hanger ..again !!! Book 3 has already started an onfolding horror story as Victoria is left for dead in a huge rainforest with no one to turn to !!!!

Wtf was this? I’m not sure what kind of drugs the author was on when she wrote the second book but she cranked the dramatics meter up to 10 when she drafted this one. Surprisingly minimal spice in this book.

I mean, this is miles better than the first one, holy cow. This is action movie style stuff all in 158 pages 🤣
Looking forward to reading the next one however I am hoping the use of the word ‘champ’ dies down. I think 4 times on one page is 4 times too many.

Overall opinion: This book has much more storyline than the 1st book of this series. You’ll find some erotica too, but much less. Things get a little cold and serious. The author kept surprising me with the story. And I enjoyed it very much.
It ends in the most annoying way… I got so, so, so pissed up!
Book 3 is not out yet and that’s the only reason I haven’t read it yet, I’m looking forward to.

Malcolm is still a nice surprise. I like him very much and overall find him well built.

Recommend: YES. Not for everyone though. ONLY MATURE READERS. Could be a taboo reading for some people.

I liked this one better than the first book even though there is less steamy action - although i personally like the fact that she held back. There is something sexy about the waiting. I keep yo-yo-ing between liking him and hating Maclolm. he can be so detestable but then in the next moment can be very sweet and caring. Still undecided whether i like him or not but i am definitely more invested than i was in book 1. I love the ending... that was a total omg moment. obviously with an ending like that i have to read book 3 straight away! Has all the makings of a great series - i guess i'll find out when i read the rest if it lives up to its potential.

WOW! I thought part one was hot and fast paced! The suspense is absolutely killing me! After loosing her identity thanks to Malcolm, Victoria has no choice but to follow his bidding and help him track down his ex and his daughter. But danger lurks right around the corner, and they are oblivious of the fact. As the heat is turned up, and the hate portion of the love/hate relationship smoothes out, both are finding it extremely difficult to be away from the other. Will they ever get to enjoy each other? Or will there always be a dark cloud hovering above them. So much action and suspense that it is almost impossible to put this book down. Part three please!

I truly hate cliffhangers but now I need the next book.
The intensity grows in this book. The action has picked up and I am truly anxious to see what happens next.
I think I have come to like Malcolm more, but I am guarded like Victoria, and reserve final judgment. His actions though seem to be good hearted.
Victoria has continued to stay strong and true to her values. I appreciate that. This is not a typical love story since there are multiple stories going on in this book.

I really enjoyed this first book in this series but was slightly disappointed with the second. I didn't find the book interesting until the last 5 pages. Of course I will have to read the next book just to find out what happens to their relationship.
One thing that really bothered me about the book was the overuse of the nick names they gave each other it is really not necessary to use the name in every sentence.

After being gifted Club Luxe 1 by Net Galley, I had to know how this story turns out! This was number 2 in the series! I love this author..she doesn't play around with sex scenes!! Can't wait to see who is it that has a hold over Malcolm and caused his good friend, Jason, to try and kill him. This series seems to have it all! Sex, mystery and UGH cliffhangers!!! Looking forward to reading Book 3

TERRIFIC.
Loved this one. And can't wait to read number three. Bought all six so i did not miss anything. Not crazy to read a book like this but o centuries you are hooked you have to read them all.

Definitely better than book one. The story is maturing and this book did not hinge around the sex but rather Victoria searching for a way to regain control over her life. These books are not stand alone stories but installments of one story.

Not a bad read. Very quick, maybe in an hour or so to read. Maybe author should of condensed books more as a 154 or 160 page book just goes too quickly.
