A good mix of many genres of poem presented in the form of a life-journey!The poems included in this poetry collection have an irresistible appeal to the readers. The poetic thought in these poems is often packed with depth of emotions. The expression and style is quite fluent and spontaneous. The rhetorical style has disappeared in these poems marked with an admirable simplicity. Poems like Mahlon ko bikte dekha hai, Sattu, Wo badli, Gam tumhare paas nahi are superb! Even for those who are not very good at Hindi but love poems, the book is easy to read and understand.

‘Mahlon ko bikte dekha hai’, a Hindi poetry anthology comes across as a simple collection of poetries at first-sight. It is only when one starts sifting through the pages that one realizes these poems in their simplicity carry profound and insightful meanings. The poet has brilliantly divided his penned thoughts that touch upon topics like life and its intricacies, the mature and immature phases of life; bitter-sweet life-changing experiences, and human emotions like sadness and hopefulness into appropriate sections. The subtle messages in these poems bring forth the two sides of the coin called life. In subjects ranging from death, first crush, seasons, relationships, anger to socially relevant topics like poverty, politics and inflation, the poet vividly brings forth the feelings, fears and sufferings of the common man. Such grandeur expression of the overall facets of life from a young writer like him is indeed commendable. The explicable style of writing with use of different meter and styles for different poems make it highly appealing to the readers. Also, the introduction offered to the sub-sections and individual poems help the reader relate to the poems better and give a sneak-peek into the thought process of the poet. Certainly, a refreshingly wonderful way to connect with the readers! In his debut book, the poet has reinforced the fact that Hindi-a language scarcely used by the newer generations, is an equally effective medium for expression of thought and feelings. In fact, young and motivated writers like him can give a much-needed new lease of life to Hindi literature in the near future.
