Lord Seth Welby had not planned to fall in love. But when he arrived at Withersfield Castle during a rain storm to find Olivia Shaw cowering in his courtyard, his plans changed.
She was in dire straits and needed him desperately. He had not counted on needing her more. Giving her his heart, however, proved to be a difficult task.
Unbeknownst to him, she had perpetrated a great deceit and was harboring an even darker secret beyond that.

I'm a domestic goddess by day and a writer by night. I make my home in South Carolina, where I live in an enchanted forest with my own real-life prince.
I grew up in a small town in South Carolina with big dreams of becoming a ventriloquist. I ordered my first and last dummy from a Sears catalog. It didn't take me long to realize that I was never going to be able to talk without moving my lips. Plus, the dummy gave me horrible nightmares.
I got married at the age of twenty-three and worked for a decade in the health field as a surgical technologist and later as a dental assistant. When I grew tired of looking at people's innards, I decided to give writing a try. As it turns out, I'm pretty good at it.
Predominately, I am an author of red hot romance. However, I enjoy writing a variety of books. My other publications include a 1920's period piece, a non-fiction self-help book and a children's book. It is my opinion that a good writer can write in any genre that he or she desires.
Of course my greatest desire is to write stories that entertain my readers and provide them with a temporary means of escape from reality. Other than reading, my favorite form of escapism is watching old movies. My favorite actor is Cary Grant. Between you and me and the bedpost, he is my cinematic boyfriend.
THE PEARL STRINGER by Lynn Cooper is chock full of romance, hot love scenes, revenge, murder and deceit. The hero, Lord Seth Welby, is every woman’s fantasy. He finds himself torn between the responsibilities of his title and a poor woman who desperately needs his help. Their love story is interlaced with intrigue, plot twists and surprises that will keep you fully engaged from the first page to the last page. This one is a must read for all historical romance buffs!
The Pearl Stringer was one of the best historical romances I have ever read. All the characters were strong, relatable and well-developed. I immediately fell in love with the hero, Lord Seth Welby and found myself pulling for him and Olivia Shaw, the beautiful but deceptive heroine. The storyline was super romantic with plenty of plot twists and turns. And, there was an exciting subplot that will no doubt be expanded upon in Book Two. Lynn Cooper’s elegant prose kept my mind riveted and my heart captured from the first word to the last.
The Pearl Stringer is a perfect historic romantic read. The plot was fast-paced and exciting. The main characters as well as the peripheral ones were interesting, gritty and colorful. And the author has done them full justice in filling out their personalities, making me feel as if I were part and parcel of their life. This is an intense tale of loves lost and found, with tons of romance and love scenes, intrigue and betrayal. I truly enjoyed this book and highly recommend it to those who love well-researched historical romance.
