Adelaide Brook writes steamy, emotional “why choose” romances where smart, complex heroines fall for the kind of trouble that comes in threes.

She’s obsessed with morally gray alphas, found family dynamics, age gap and the delicious chaos of multiple love interests who refuse to play by the rules.

When she’s not writing intense romance novels that explode into heat, Adelaide can be found reading in a too-hot bath, drinking espresso past midnight, and plotting her next fictional obsession.

She believes love is messier than people admit, and no heroine should ever have to choose just one.

Holy cow. This is a new to me author and am so glad I stumbled upon them. The chemistry of these characters is off the charts. It was definitely a why choos kind of story because I never could have. So much steam.

"Claimed by the Bodyguards" by Adelaide Brook is an electrifying standalone reverse harem romance that gracefully intertwines themes of love, danger, and emotional complexities.

The story will capture you from the very first page, it introduces you to a heroine whose world is turned upside down overnight, transforming her from an untouchable diva into a target that draws in three brooding, ex-military bodyguards.

At the heart of the story is Jade, who despite being perceived as a spoiled diva, carries the weight of a dangerous past that forces her into the protective custody of three alpha males, (Ethan Cross, Mateo Rivera, and Declan Reid.) Each character has depth and intricacy, showcasing their own struggles and their qualities.
Ethan is the emotionally unavailable protector, exuding an intimidating charm that draws you in. 😉 Mateo presents the image of the "golden boy" turned grump, with a sharp tongue and an undeniable soft spot that adds humor and warmth to the story. And Declan, the quiet yet imposing figure, hides secrets beneath his tough exterior, making him a fascinating character to unravel. Must admit my favourite was Ethan, don’t tell the other two 🤫

The chemistry between the heroine and her bodyguards evolves from mutual disdain to a smoldering obsession, creating a tension that kept me on the edge of my seat. Each shared glance, heated argument, and intimate moment is vividly depicted 🥵

Each character, especially the male leads, grapples with their demons, making them relatable and human. The interactions are not just surface level flirtations, they delve into the battles each character faces, adding layers to the romance. The unresolved issues from their pasts influence their choices and interactions.

The author’s storytelling shines throughout the book, especially her ability to balance romantic tension with elements of suspense.

The plot is expertly woven, with a fine balance between romance and thrills. Just when we are drawn into the passionate dynamics, the looming danger becomes increasingly palpable, creating a sense of urgency that propels the story forward. The arrival of the actual threat not only tests the relationships but also forces the characters to confront their fears, desires, and the lengths they would go to protect each other. (On the edge of my seat for those moments, I can tell you.)

The pacing is good, mixing moments of high tension with quieter, scenes that allowed me to catch my breath.
The author’s ability to create vivid visuals and intense feelings brings both the romance and the danger to life, making it impossible to put the book down, I read well past my bedtime, once I picked it up, i wasn’t going to stop until I was done!

In conclusion, "Claimed by the Bodyguards" is a thrilling read that expertly marries elements of romance, suspense, and emotional depth.

Adelaide Brook has crafted a story teeming with steamy moments, beautifully flawed characters, and the unpredictable nature of love. The transformation of these four individuals each with their own battles navigating danger and desire will stay with me for quite some time.

It’s a must read for fans of passionate romances infused with character driven storytelling.

Highly recommended for anyone seeking a captivating escape filled with heart stopping moments and intensely felt love.

I would put this between a three and a four.

I don't know if I would reread it, but I did enjoy it as I was going through Jade's story. One of the things that stood out to me first was that it was reminiscent of Lily Gold's Triple Duty Bodyguards, but honestly, how many different ways can you do a stalker-based bodyguard romance?

Some other similarities had to do with the public perception of the person being guarded - cold, tantrum throwing, etc. But I do think there wound up being enough differences that I could have a "craving" to read one or the other without them universally scratching that itch.

One of the big differences was the stalker's connection to Jade's past, which you find out pretty immediately (not the intricate details, just the existence of a connection).

Brook gives us some depth to her leading lady, and we get to see that there's more beneath Jade's surface. She wound up being a likable character, and that goes a long way, for me, toward motivating me to continue reading a story.

Out of the three guys, Ethan and Declan were the hardest to tell apart at first, but that gets smoothed out once you're a few chapters in. Mateo, as the most carefree, flirty, fun one, immediately stands out, so you know when he's "in charge" of the POV. They all wind up being interesting, but I can't say we do a SUPER deep dive into who they are. There's just enough to tell them apart and give a little unique "flavor" to each character.

As far as the twist goes, I think I clocked the main villain from the first time there was a mention of the person, but that might just be a me thing. That didn't ruin my enjoyment of the story, though, because there's also the relationships on the line. So, even if you figure the villain out, there are other pieces to keep you invested.

"Claimed by the Bodyguards" grabbed me from the first page and refused to let go. Adelaide Brook delivers everything I crave in a reverse harem romance—emotional intensity, layered characters, slow-burning tension that erupts into explosive chemistry, and just the right dose of danger to keep me flipping pages into the night.

The setup is irresistible: a fiercely independent heroine (Jade) thrown into close quarters with three emotionally damaged, impossibly hot ex-military bodyguards. Ethan, Mateo, and Declan each bring something different to the table—control, fire, mystery—and the dynamic between all four of them is magnetic. The tension simmers beautifully, then builds into a connection that feels as real as it is intoxicating.

What sets this book apart is how it balances high-stakes suspense with deep emotional vulnerability. These characters aren’t just playing roles—they're surviving traumas, facing secrets, and redefining trust and love along the way. And the found family vibes? Absolutely heart-melting.

The pacing is tight, the spice is off-the-charts (seriously 🔥), and the multi-POV format adds so much depth to each character’s voice. Whether it’s a stolen glance, a whispered confession, or a moment of raw, protective fury.

Final verdict: "Claimed by the Bodyguards" is the kind of book that ruins you for anything less. Adelaide Brook nails the emotional highs, the sizzling chemistry, and the heart-pounding action. Highly recommended for anyone who loves their romance intense, unapologetically spicy, and filled with characters you’ll root for.

5-Star Review for Claimed by the Bodyguards by Adelaide Brook

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This book delivered everything I want in a bodyguard romance, protective tension, slow-burn chemistry, emotional depth, and just the right amount of spice.

Jade is a famous model recovering from a horrifying attack, and she’s still being threatened. She’s tough, resilient, and deeply alone and labeled an “ice queen” by the tabloids but really just a survivor with no one in her corner. Enter three very different bodyguards: Ethan, the hardened leader with a painful past; Declan, the scarred, quiet protector; and Mateo, the charming flirt who brings levity and heart.

The romance unfolds slowly but intensely, with each man connecting to Jade in his own way. The tension simmers while they try to keep things professional… until they can’t anymore. And when things finally ignite? Whew. Spice, high emotion, and so much payoff.

I especially loved the pacing, nothing felt rushed, and the emotional buildup was so satisfying. Declan stole my heart, but I adored all three. And Jade? She’s the kind of heroine I root for self-aware, strong, and not afraid to ask for what she wants.

If you love protective men, emotionally rich backstories, and a slow-burn why choose romance that actually makes you feel something—this one’s a must-read. 🖤

Look I am an absolute sucker for a bodyguard romance but when you multiply the bodyguards by 3, then it’s just a whole lot of fun🤭

This book follows Matteo, Ethan and Declan who are friends and started Cross security. Now these three are assigned to Jade who is a model and is in need of some extra security after unfortunate event occurred which placed her in danger.

Jade has perfected her ice persona for the media but she is a whole lot more beneath the surface in which our three MMCs soon come to realise. Of course there is instant chemistry between the guys and Jade but they try (and emphasis and try because they give it a good attempt) to remain professional but of course the lines become blurred.

Jade suffers from PTSD in terms of water activities due to the incident but our MMCs help her over come that fear and reclaim a part of her life.

I absolutely loved this book- the tension, the chemistry of the characters and the plot were perfect.

Congratulations to the author on the debut book.

I received a copy of this book from book sirens in exchange for my honest thoughts 💭

A new author I picked up via an ARC copy, and I really enjoyed this book; it's steamy, funny, and has suspense throughout.

Jade isn't happy that her Manager, Gloria, has gone behind her back and employed bodyguards to protect her after she was attacked. Jade has a reputation that precedes her, but is all that is written about her true?

Ethan, Declan, and Mateo know that they will have trouble convincing Jade to accept their protection, but that soon changes. The men soon find that their professional boundaries are blurring with the personal. There is something about Jade that calls to all three of them.

Jade finds that she relates to all three men, each bringing something out in her, whether it's safety, strength, or light-heartedness; they're bringing her walls down that she has carefully erected over the years.

Will the men be able to keep Jade safe from this unknown attacker? Will they find who it is and why they are so focused on her? Can the real Jade eventually live the life that she wants and with the men who have her heart?

Jade Sinclair is an international supermodel that has acquired herself a stalker that escalated to attacking her, which leads to her needing protection. Enter Cross Security, Ethan - the meticulous, control freak leader, Declan - the fierce protector, and Mateo - the techy jokester.

Jade is painted by the tabloids as the “Ice Queen” and the guys go into their security detail expecting a complete diva, however, they begin to very slowly uncover the true Jade layer by layer. As Ethan, Declan, and Mateo each become closer with Jade, the threat of the stalker drastically increases and they must figure out how to best keep her safe.

This was an extremely slow burn why-choose romance! The chemistry is there from the very first meeting, however, they each skirt around the tension that is present! I thoroughly enjoyed this free ARC from BookSirens!

ARC review
This review is 100% my own thoughts and feelings and haven’t been impacted by the author at all, thank you to book sirens and the author for this free ARC

I really enjoyed this book.

Jade has gained a few bodyguard much to her dismay after she was attacked. Jade has a reputation that precedes her, but how much of it is true?

The 3 bodyguards soon find that their professional boundaries are blurring with the personal. There is something about Jade that calls to all three of them.

Jade finds that she relates to all three men, each bringing something out in her, they're bringing her walls down that she has carefully erected over the years.

Will they find who attacked her?
Will they all have a HEA?
Will lines be blurred?

So many questions read the book to get the answers

⭐⭐⭐ 1/2
🌶️🌶️🌶️

It's a nice story with just enough spice to make it yummy. It's a bit of a slow burn but the chemistry between all four of them is sizzling.

The style of writing can be a bit off-putting for some. It did take a bit out of it for me and the reason I couldn't give it a full 4 stars. The continuation of dialogue when changing PoV (as in Jade said something and then, next chapter, it's Jade's PoV and the same sentence she said is written).

It was less about the threat and the action than about establishing the connection and relationship between them all and that was fine with me. The big reveal was a bit out of left field but, I'll be honest, the pool house scene.... YES!

All in all, enjoyable, nice spice, and three bodyguards. 😉

DNF @14%. I don’t usually rate books that I DNF but there was just too much to already dislike about this. First and foremost if you’ve read Triple Duty Bodyguards by Lily Gold, this is seriously copy and paste as far as I was able to get through at least. And I’ve read other books where people have said “this is copy and paste” and I’ve thought, oh well I can see enough of a difference where it doesn’t bother me. This one, No. This one REALLY bothers me. A LOT. WAYYY too much similarity. Second, already at the start one of the MMCs is such a whiney 14yo feeling character. And again, I’ve read characters like that where they had other redeeming qualities and I at least rode it out through their character development, but this guy, no. So insufferable and cringy AF. Okay. That’s my rant.

Claimed by the bodyguards.

I am new to the work of Adelaide Brook, but found this book very entertaining. Not too sugary sweet a romance story to be repetitive, nor is it too thriller based. It a rollercoaster of emotions that sweep the reader along. The mystery element and plot twist at the end is not totally expected so leaves you feeling good when you get to the conclusion. I look forward to reading more from this author.

This book is easy to read and moves along quickly. The MMCs are just as soft, caring, focused and protective as they can be in this story. The FMC is confident, strong and beautiful. There is plenty of suspense and drama in this novel. The spice is really good. There was a spot that broke my heart, but it worked itself out, thank goodness. I loved this book and would definitely recommend it.

I am all about why choose, and I loved the thrillery, suspenseful part of this book. Loved seeing how our FMC was judged incorrectly, and how we can see that she’s truly a good person who has been through a lot. For me, there wasn’t enough of a build up of the relationship with the FMC and the MMCS. I would have loved more exploration of their relationship

From the very first chapter, this book pulled me in and kept me turning the pages until I realized I had finished the entire thing in just one day! The writing is engaging, the pacing brisk, and the story completely binge-worthy.

If I could change anything, it would be to see the stalker subplot explored just a little more before the finale. That said, the conclusion was still strong, and the overall experience was incredibly enjoyable.

⭐ A must-read for fans of fast-paced, thrilling stories with just the right touch of suspense.
