Witaj w nowym, wspaniałym świecie! Świecie AI O sztucznej inteligencji jest ostatnio bardzo głośno, to nośny temat, nierzadko przedstawiany w tonie sensacyjnym. Czy AI nas zniewoli? Czy wymknie się spod kontroli? A może zabierze nam pracę i zmieni nasze życie w bezproduktywny koszmar? Rzeczywistość wygląda zgoła inaczej, niż zdają się sugerować clickbaitowe nagłówki w prasie i mediach społecznościowych. Ta książka w przystępny i rzetelny sposób wprowadzi Cię w fascynujący świat sztucznej inteligencji. Bez skomplikowanej matematyki, odwołując się jedynie do niezbędnego minimum na poziomie szkoły średniej, autor przybliża zasady działania i uczenia się sztucznych sieci neuronowych, funkcjonowanie dużych modeli językowych i generatywnej AI, jak słynny ChatGPT, a także omawia ich dzisiejsze możliwości i nadchodzące wyzwania. Odwołuje się przy tym do własnej praktyki zawodowej - od wielu lat współtworzy rozwiązania służące proaktywnej ochronie przed cyberprzemocą i wsparciu osób w kryzysie suicydalnym, dokładając tym samym swoją cegiełkę do prac nad rozwojem sztucznej inteligencji.

June 16, 2025If you only have to read one book on artificial intelligence - you have just found it.
I've been wanting to reach for this book for a long time. I had come across a lot of positive reviews on the internet, so I was curious to see how the author managed to tell the story of such a popular yet complex topic.
My expectations for this item were high. After all, the description promises to ‘introduce you to the fascinating world of artificial intelligence in an accessible and reliable way’. I had been looking for a long time for a resource that would help people, not involved in AI on a daily basis, to understand how it works and the specific mechanisms involved.
At first, after reading a few pages, I was under the impression that this was another light book about the applications and operation of AI. I've been through a few such items - enjoyable, but with little concrete knowledge. After a quick look through the whole book, I realized that it contained a lot of mathematical formulas and technical diagrams. I then thought that maybe it wouldn't be reading for non-technical people after all. This kind of detail often requires some prior knowledge and can make it difficult to read. This clashed somewhat with my first impression of the loose style. All the more intrigued, I set about reading carefully.
And it was then that the book enthralled me.
Today, I believe it should be compulsory reading - at least in high schools. Although it requires basic mathematical knowledge, it is written so well that it could successfully introduce young people (and others) to the topic of artificial intelligence.
Why did it make such an impression on me?
The whole book is written in a light, clear language that makes page after page a pleasure to read. The author's style not only draws you in, but also motivates you to continue reading - because you want to understand to the end the mechanisms he writes about.
While reading, I had the impression of climbing a “ladder of abstraction”. We start with an introduction to the problem and the historical context, then move seamlessly from technical details to apt analogies that clarify even very complex concepts. This makes it not only easier to understand the concepts involved, but also much easier to remember them.
This makes even such complex issues as recurrent networks or embeddings comprehensible.
In a world full of simplistic and superficial content about AI, this book shows that it is possible to combine accessibility with depth - without giving up technical but fascinating details.
