I liked this book and I feel like it's been awhile since we've gotten a "training" book. There have been more of the Branding books I think. . I enjoyed reading training James bc I had been looking forward to Chief Andersons story since he came out to his sons. But the chief Anderson in this book is NOT the chief Anderson I remember! I don't think that becoming someone's sub means their personality will be changing so drastically. But tbh he felt different to me even before he entered a relationship with Layton. A police chief doesn't get where he is by being meek or quiet and unsure of himself. But that's how he came off in this book and he had never been that way in the past. I do applaud Tatum for taking a stereotypical dominant man and making him the sub in the relationship. But I don't think submitting sexually means he becomes submissive in Life. I also wanted to see more interaction with him and his sons. I felt that was a major point that was noticeably missing. When he spoke with Reed he came off distant and I thought that could have been explored. Otherwise the book was good. Entertaining but basically predictable.

I wrote a whole thing already and is disappeared of course bc this sites' tech sucks. But i can remember that I liked the book but I felt that the former chiefs personality seemed drastically different than what we had known. And that the description of both characters was very slim. I also remember that I like how the Dom in the relationship was the opposite of what was stereotypical. A little bit of a twist. ..
