After surviving their hair-raising drive across Canada, Ellie and Oliver have almost made it back to Seldovia. Sam and Darien are hard on their heels, abandoning their Hawaiian honeymoon to join the fight against the monsters infesting every corner of the earth. But returning to Alaska is more difficult than any of them bargained for, especially since home no longer means safety. As Sam and Darien grapple with their growing abilities, and as the demon attacks intensify, the four are forced to make decisions that will shake them to their decisions about what secrets are worth keeping, what truths are worth telling, and ultimately, what’s worth dying—and living—for.

This was action packed from start to finish and I was flipping pages so quickly I got whiplash!!
I was genuinely on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen!
Caitee has written a beautiful story which has captivated me from the start. The writing is tense and eerie and made me feel all the things. Thank you so much for taking me on your journey with you!
Note: this was written after finishing all three books in the trilogy.
A refreshing and highly imaginative story! I loved how character-driven this book was, but the highlight for me was the metaphors. The author takes internal struggles like anxiety and depression and turns them into physical obstacles, making the emotional stakes feel tangible and new. A truly unique read.
I usually don’t read trilogy’s but this was incredible. Caitee followed the story from start to finish and the conclusion was not what I expected but so what I needed! Laughed, cried, and can’t wait for another book.
If you like thrill adventure and a little romance this trilogy will not disappoint. It was such a fun read. At one point I wanted to stop reading because I couldn’t figure out how it was going to end. I know it’s my own character flaw.
