Gabe Nelson would be a great district attorney, but his public image is too boring to get voters' attention. Tattoo artist Devin Padilla can help him show off his fun, sexy side, but she needs something in return—his legal expertise to track down her missing brother. She's not Gabe's type, but they can't keep their hands off each other, whether it's good for his image or not.
At first, Devin thinks she got the easy end of the bargain. Gabe's the sexiest stuffed shirt in Manhattan, and his kisses practically set her on fire. But every deal has its fine print. As their relationship goes from business to pleasure, Devin realizes this one won't cost her soul…it'll just steal her heart.
Regina Kyle knew she was destined to be an author when she won a writing contest at age ten with a touching tale about a squirrel and a nut pie. By day, she writes dry legal briefs, representing the state in criminal appeals. At night, she writes steamy romance with heart and humor.
A lover of all things theatrical, Regina lives on the Connecticut coast with her husband, teenaged daughter and two melodramatic cats. When she’s not writing, she’s most likely singing, reading, cooking or watching bad reality television.
I liked that Devin could affect Gave, "Jesus Christ. What the hell was wrong with him? The woman was distraught, and here he was acting like an overeager teen on his first date." I also liked that Gabe didn't hold out on what he was thinking, "I’d like to be noble enough to say I’m more interested in your artwork than your body. But I’m not sure I can wait that long to touch you." I liked that Devin got Gabe and that she is always looking for ways to save some money, "or I could just stop wearing underwear altogether. Save you the trouble of destroying them." I liked this book I loved these characters.
An enjoyable read. There were a couple things I would change but both leads were likeable which is the important part. Gabe was a good hero and Devin had her moments but for the most part I liked her and how assertive she was. I always appreciate heroines who don't turn into stuttering idiots in front of the hero.
This is the second in Kyle's The Art of Seduction series for Blaze. This time, the Art in question is Tattoo artist and secret painter Devin Padilla. Our hero is the stuffy assistant DA Gabe Nelson. This is very much an attraction of opposites, with free spirit Devin, who has come from a tough background and is tattooed, pierced and dresses way too sexy stirring up straight-laced Gabe who has been dismissed as boring and predictable by both girlfriend and boss.
Devin needs a favour from Gabe and she hates to owe people. She prides herself on her independence and willingness to do things on her own. As it turns out, Gabe does need a reciprocal favour so they make a bargain. He will help her find her brother and she will help him loosen up and become a "man of the people".
Which would have been fine if they didn't want to rip each other's clothes off and do stuff every time they are within reach of each other.
It was really nice seeing these two bond and find how much they had in common outside the bedroom. Gabe is a real sweety and Devin has a heart of gold hidden under her brash exterior.
The were some lovely moving moments in this story and even though the black moment was fairly predictable, it worked well and was believable. It was nice catching up with Nick and Holly from Triple Threat and meeting Cade from the next story, Triple Dare.
Overall a lovely story with plenty of heat. Kyle does well with the smexy which is hot but not nasty. I liked the characters and look forward to the next stories in the series.
Yay for Triple Time. Regina Kyle definitely has a winner on her hands with this book. Gabe and Devin are hot together. So hot, that you will be fanning yourself during chapters. Not only are the characters full of heat, but there is also a great deal of romance in it.
I admire Devin as a character. She’s not afraid to stand up for herself and for others, she marches to the beat of her own drum…so to speak, and she’s tough as nails. Devin has all the characteristics that I adore in a heroine. Not to mention I LOVE her name! Gabe is no slouch either. He’s hardworking, intelligent, and perfect for Devin. These two couldn’t be more different, but everyone knows opposites attract. She’s exactly what he needs to loosen up.
As for the book itself, it’s well-written, the characters are well-developed and refreshing, and the storyline will capture your attention and not let go. Triple Time gets five stars for me and I for one can’t wait for the next book by Regina Kyle.
I really loved Regina Kyle’s second book, Triple Time (her first was great, but this was even better). Her writing style is honest and fresh and real. The characters are extremely relatable and it was so easy to cheer Devin and Gabe on in their personal quests and their journey to finding love. The whole opposites attract theme was perfect and Ms. Kyle did a wonderful job showing how easy it is to except others for who they are, that stepping out of your comfort zone can be a good thing and to follow your dreams. I’m already looking forward to her next novel.
Disclaimer: I received an ARC in exchange for a honest review (and I would have bought it anyway after reading the first book, Triple Threat).
This was a smokin' hot book. Devin is a great heroine who gives Gabe a run for his money. The tension was off the charts. A fun, sexy story. I'm looking forward to her next book.
Devin Padilla was a girl from the boroughs and a rough childhood. She was tattooed and pierced. Now working as a bartender, a semi painter and a tattoo artist. Her best friend had just moved away and reinforced the belief that nothing and no one stays around forever.
Gabe Nelson had just proposed to his girlfriend only to find out she thought he was boring. Sure he was an attorney who was planning to run for DA. Yes he lived an upstanding life in Tribeca. Of course he had goals and plans, but that didn’t mean he was boring, did it?
Gabe was Devin’s best friend’s brother, so when they ran into each other in Central Park it wasn’t that big a surprise that Gabe insisted on taking Devin home. What was a surprise was what happened at the door. Would these two be able to work together to help each other achieve their goals? Or would friendship and family stand between them and happiness?
WOW. This is one hot story and Ms. Kyle definitely has the ability to draw you into it. The Nelson family is one I can’t wait to see her expand on. I think we are truly blessed with the writing style of Ms. Kyle. She has the ability to make her story become so vivid you would think you were there. She gives you details enough to have you imagining what is going on while allowing you to refine the world. Her characters are flawed and have insecurities but are able to work with them and to achieve their happily ever after. This is a great book, a good example of the best friend’s brother trope and a fun read.
Regina Kyle has a winner here with Triple Time. The characters jump off the page and drag you back into their contrasting worlds. Gabe and Devin are an engaging pair of opposites—a smooth-talking, staid top attorney with the New York DA’s office and a sassy tattoo artist, the product of foster care. They join forces to find her autistic brother and to loosen Gabe up for the race to become DA.
And the trouble they get into loosening him up. ☺ No spoilers here. You’ll have to give it a read to find out for yourself.
I’ve never been to a tattoo parlor and enjoyed being shown a part of that world, along with Devin’s snappy repartee. Never knew you had to go back multiple appointments for certain tattoos. And I was on pins and needles worrying about how it would all turn out—if and when—Gabe would find Devin’s brother. Most of all, I loved how Devin conveyed a damaged, in your face artist while still managing to make me laugh and feel deep empathy for her.
Gabe has his hands full with a backstabbing coworker, a boss who thinks Gabe is too conventional to give his endorsement for the DA ticket, and Devin, who heats him up like house on fire. Even though she doesn’t realize it at first, Gabe is exactly what Devin needs, a solid, upstanding man to scare away the irresponsible ghosts of her past. I was drawn in by Ms. Kyle’s writing from page one to the very last line. I hope you enjoy Triple Time as much as I did.
Stepping into a Harlequin Blaze book is like stepping into a promise of a sexy romance. And that promise? It's always kept. Regina Kyle made sure of it with Triple Time.
The story starts with Gabe proposing to his girlfriend only to be turned down on account of him being "boring." He hears the same thing at work, which makes him want to do something to change that. Who better to help than Devin--his sister's best friend? She's absolutely the best kind of heroine a story could have--a no nonsense girl who isn't afraid to speak her mind. Devin draws Gabe out while he helps her find her brother. All the while, sparks are flying between them and neither one can contain the reaction they have with each other.
Triple Time is a sassy romance. I enjoyed the opposites theme that it had going, along with Gabe and Devin's personal journeys. The romance was definitely hot stuff from the very first kiss--fanning yourself will be required. Great novel from Regina Kyle and I can't wait for more!
Gabe might be a bit straight-laced, but he is also thoughtful, kind, caring, protective, hot man in a suit and glasses! If that is not swoon worthy, nothing is. Devin is survivor, in all sense of the word. She can take care of herself, she can talk to and relate to people, she's sassy, and smart, with a big heart, and lots of piercings and tattoos. The connection they have is fragile, and sizzling hot. But Gabe wants more than just a physical relationship, and the way he goes to romance Devin, is truly adorable. Devin is supposed to loosen up Gabe for the election, but soon she realizes, that there's not much that needs changing. The story has lots of great, smart, and entertaining dialog, that moves the story nicely along, and made me laugh out loud several times, and smile for the rest of the time. There's several sub-plots in the tale, that gives the story more layers, that brings Devin and Gabe closer together, and shows how much they have in common. Witty, lively and enjoyable story with rather high heat level ~ Four Spoons!
I loved the sparks Devin and Gabe created in Regina Kyle’s Triple Time. That old saying of opposites attracting is certainly true of this couple. Thank goodness because these two were perfect for one another. Gabe, the sexy straight arrow, was the perfect man for tattooed, street-wise Devin. From the museum to the tattoo parlor, New York City was the perfect backdrop for these lovers. If I hadn’t already been in love with Gabe Nelson, I definitely would have been a goner after that scene in the Met. Devin’s love and concern for her missing brother and Gabe’s willingness to help her search gave depth to this hero and heroine. Sure, their chemistry was off the charts, but you knew there was more to these two than what happened between the sheets. Triple Time is a sexy, witty romp with characters you’ll care about, root for and think about long after you finish the book.
I loved Regina Kyle's first book Triple Threat and this sequel was even better. This fairly new author has found a way to create stories and characters that leap off the page and pull you deep into their lives. This book is about total opposites helping each other and the author conjures a tale of them falling in love. Not only do you root for them the whole time but you absolutely believe that they would do this. And then she does the almost impossible, with me anyway, she makes me cry. With just a simple scene I got teary eyed and emotional. I hated this story to end but I understand there is another in the works. I hope it comes soon because I'm sure it will be fabulous. Regina Kyle just keeps getting better.
I am a big fan of Regina Kyle's. Her first book Triple Threat is one of my favorites, and her latest book Triple Time was instantly added to the same list. I love her depth of characters, the interesting storyline and the fast pace of the book. And enough steamy chemistry to make the pages explode. I loved that Devin was unexpected. She's got attitude and a mind of her own, but she's also got a big heart and is on her personal mission. Gabe is the perfect partner for her. He might think he's boring, but he's anything but. I love the chemistry between Devin and Gabe is what propels them to pursue their separate goals together. This is a book that is definitely making it to my "keep" shelf.
I was given an ARC by the author in return for an honest review.
I could not put Triple Time down! From beginning to end, Regina takes us on a whirlwind ride of falling in love. A straight-laced and smoking hot district attorney and a streetwise tattoo artist with a heart of gold prove that opposites attract and hearts want who they want. There is excitement on every page and Devin and Gabe pull you into their story, get you hot and bothered one minute, and break your heart the next. And always have you rooting for their happily ever after with every twist and turn.
Breathtaking, exciting, and emotional ~ Triple Time is the best book I've read in a long time. And Regina Kyle is at the top of my favorite authors list!

From their first kiss on the porch (HOT!!!) I was hooked. I love opposites attract themes, and Regina got it down in one pat. I loved Triple Threat and would have purchased Triple Time anyway (I will, just to have a hard copy). Regina's Devin and Gabe are very believable characters with relatable flaws and I enjoyed the journey through their eyes. The humor was outstanding. They always say the clothes makes the person, but I believe what's underneath tells the true/whole story. Thanks, Regina for a good read (pun intended).
This book was great! It was funny and the chemistry was smokin' hot! I could feel the steam coming right off of each page. Definitely recommend this book to those who love romance. Great job to the author of this book, Regina Kyle.
I received an ARC copy of this book from the author in exchange for my review.
"This seemingly unmatched pair play to each other’s strengths well, and fall straight and honestly into each other’s lives with no unnecessary games or deception, providing an admirable, pleasing love story" (RT Book Reviews, 4 stars).
I received this book free from the author. I am voluntarily choosing to review it. This is my first book that I've read by Regina Kyle and it won't be the last. I found this to be a good, well-written story about how opposites can attract. I thought the main story itself was really well done and the back-story just as satisfying. The romance had wonderfully sexy scenes that were tastefully done. This was just an all-around well-written, sexy story that leaves you totally satisfied. I definitely recommend this book and will be reading more from this author.
Man nesuvokiama, kam tai reikia įvardinti oficialiai? Kodėl negalima tiesiog mėgautis be tų pavadinimų vistiek gi apie santuoka čia nekalbama juk Amerika.
Devin didn't have long term relationships. It's from everyone leaving her. Gabe needed helped... They make a deal to help each other. Lots of lovin'. Not much drama or threats.
Extremely well-written with a dry, snarky sense of humor that had me laughing and smiling all the way through the book. Of course, there were tender moments and tears, too. Quite hot and plenty of plot to go along with all the sex!

This was a book that I lucked out in getting a crack at reviewing. I thought originally that someone else was going to review it after I had read the synopsis and was massively disappointed because it looked so good. I love those romances where opposites attract and how appearances can be deceiving. I happened to see that this book was still available and I asked if I could review it. I got it and I was so not disappointed.
There was another book before this one about Gabe’s older sister, (which by the way looks really good, go check out our review of Triple Threat), but each book is a standalone so no worries about missing out on any pertinent information if this was the only book a reader planned to get.
I loved Gabe. I’m going to paraphrase what Devin stated in the book, he wasn’t boring, he was steady. That was a true enough statement. He was there whenever Devin needed him. He was a good guy, and was a character that was truly likable. He was charming, adorable, transparent, he was a guy that any woman would be a fool not to hold on to. Devin is not a fool. Gabe was also flawed and vulnerable, but he was a character that this reader believed in and cheered for.
Devin was another character that was likable. She had a hard exterior but was soft as butter underneath; she just needed a man to seek out her hidden depths. Gabe was that man. She was tough, smart, compassionate, vulnerable as well, and had her sweet moments.
Their story was truly entertaining and I found myself giggling my way through their romantic journey. As I stated above, I love stories where appearances are deceiving, and everything isn’t always as it appears. Situations are similar to that in reality as well and I love that in a romance. We all can learn that sometimes the way a person looks isn’t indicative of who that person is as a human being, good or bad. I think were all guilty of that, I know I am. Gabe and Devin fight with what their appearances say and who they are on the inside with their bosses, people they meet up with, and with each other.
I hope that you give this story a chance, if this is the kind of romance that appeals to you, and that you enjoy it as much as I did.
Disclaimer: a free copy of this book was given to me by the author in exchange of an honest review. Thank you so much. Also thank you for the dedication I found inside the book.
It's been years since I last read a Harlequin because I often find them too cheesy, especially when there's this absolutely perfect man who swoops the girl in his strong arms and they live happily ever after.
But damn, if this wasn't hot. I tend to forget that when an author can really write, it can be the cheesiest thing ever written but you couldn't care less.
Lucky for me, Devin isn't the usual damsel in distress: she's tough, she knows how to survive and to prevent a broken heart. I found a lot of myself in her: I like tattoos as well, the word "commitment" makes me shiver in fear, I swear a little too often and a little too loud, I'm not exactly "girlfriend material" and I have a tendency to build walls around me to protect myself from others and disappointment. But Devin is a lot braver than me.
Gabe, what can I say about him? He's almost perfect, maybe a little too much and it was this aspect that helped me to remember Gabe was a fictional character and not a real person. But hey, if someone like him really exists, count me in!
It was difficult to leave Gabe at the end of the book and it's the reason I stopped reading books like this one: Gabe's attitude and the way he's protective of Devin are exactly the qualities I fall for, the ultimate dream I allow myself to have about someone loving me one day.
But enough talking about me and my sorry story.
Gabe and Devin's chemistry is undeniable, they're so good together - so different but perfect for each other because they brought up sides of one another they didn't know exist.
Like I said, I avoided this kind of books for years but I'm glad I read this one - just to remind myself that somewhere this kind of love can exist.
English is not my first language, so feel free to correct me if I made any mistake along the way.
Triple Time by Regina Kyle is the second book in her Art of Seduction series. This series can be read as a standalone, as it has nothing to do with the first book.
Devin Padilla is our heroine, and a very likeable one at that. Devin is not your girl next door. She is pretty, savvy, tough, and very street smart, and looks the part with tattoos and pierced. Devin works as a bartender and as a tattoo artist.
We meet our hero, Gabe Nelson when he is in a restaurant proposing to his girlfriend, who embarrasses him by turning him down as not being her type and boring. Gabe is mortified, and decides to take a long walk to calm down. He sees Devin, who is his sister’s best friend, being accosted by someone. He comes to her rescue and refuses to let her walk home alone.
All this is early on, and what follows is a very sweet romance between two very unlikely people. Gabe is planning on running for District Attorney, and asks Devin for help to become more outgoing and able to win over voters. Devin makes a deal with Gabe to help her find her brother from whom she was separated with when they were very young.
The chemistry between was evident from the start, as the sparks flew immediately. Devin finds Gabe hot, and does not find him boring. Gabe begins to fall for Devin, realizing that she was the real thing, not the rich socialite that he was proposing to. It was a great story, as Gabe pursues his political career and tries to find Devin’s brother. Devin knew she was falling for her hot sexy attorney, but was not looking for anything more, since she felt she wasn’t right for him and his political ambitions. Will Gabe be able to convince Devin that their relationship will work? Will Devin ever see her brother again?
Regina Kyle has written a very nice story, with a wonderful couple, who were steaming hot together and total opposites. I wholly recommend that you find the time to read Triple Time.
Another fantastic winner! This series by Regina Kyle is perfection!
This is the epitome of opposites attract. In this story we meet Gabe (Holly's little brother), a straight laced attorney who has his life all mapped out, and Devin (Holly's best friend), who lives by the "fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants" motto.
These two people are so different from each other that they just mesh so well together. Gabe needs more spontaneity in his life, while Devin needs the stability that Gabe can give her.
The result is a heartwarming story that will have you falling in love with these characters. Don't worry. It's not all sweetness though. Who knew underneath that suit Gabe was such a naughty boy. Trust me. You'll be fanning yourself often while reading this book. Gabe may need some spontaneity, but his bedroom skills are top notch. ;)
Triple Time delivers on the promise this author made readers in Triple Threat--when you pick up a Regina Kyle book, you're getting extremely well-drawn characters with believable, relatable conflict and chemistry between the main characters that leaps off the page and straight into your ... never mind. Let's just say the heat level between Devin and Gabe is high, and so are the emotions, and combined with a structurally sound plot and clever dialogue, Triple Time is a book you won't be able to put down. Can't wait for the next in the series!
Regina Kyle did a good job of taking two totally different individuals and showing you their strengths, weaknesses and similarities. Devin knows how to push Gabe's buttons to bring him out of his buttoned up shell. Gabe is drawn to Devin's brash, outspoken, tough girl persona. He see's through her tough exterior and she tunnels through his stuffy persona. Opposites attract has never been told in such a sexy, fun and over the top package. Triple Time is worth a look. Received an ARC of this story for an honest review.
I read this book in one afternoon because I could not put it down. I loved how flawed, in different ways, Garrett and Devin are and how they managed to soothe and contemplate each other. I've read many Blaze books over the years and this is one of the best I've read in a long time. I can't wait for the next one in the series.
A fantastic book. Worth your time and effort. The girl gives the hero a run for his money.... Spoiler Alert....I am hoping to see the old girlfriend find her non-boring man.... A winner...I encourage everyone to get this book you will love it!!!!
