Tracey may reconsider her choice in choosing Nathan.

Just as everything finally seems to be looking up, Nathan and Tracey’s world is turned upside down when they embark on a suicide mission to rescue a friend. This is the second installment in the Burdened series and this one is so much better.
Tainted seems to flow better than the first book. The first was was beautifully written but this one is just amazing.
The first book was awesome but this one got much better. You get so many of your questions answered and problems are dealt with, especially that massive cliffhanger at the end of Burdened...Ann Peiri kept me wondering what would happened and I finally got my answers! This sequel was perfect to complete what was established in the first one.
Tainted expandes on the various abilities of the characters and more details are revealed. The characters are challeneged and have to use their new found gifts to defend their lives.
While the first book was pretty innocent, this one is more for an older crowd as there is quite a few scenes and langauge not meant for younger people.
I cannot wait to read book 3 in the serie and will keep an eye out on Peiri Ann's upcoming books.

*NetGalley book review*

This is the second book in the Burdened series. I was lucky enough to snag both from NetGalley so I could continue reading on from the first book. This one was so much better. Ann's writing is beautiful in this second book and the continuing story just grabs you from the first page. Excellent read.

****Actual Rating 4.5 Stars****

I want to say thanks to Xpresso Book Tours and Netgalley for letting me read this book in exchange for an honest review. This book is way better than the first one. I loved this book so much it was amazing. I need the third book now. As in the first book we follow Tracey more about her and the characters are in my review of the first book which will be linked below. This book had a fast start which was pleasantly surprising compared to the first. This was more developed into the world and just the right amount of detail to make it really good. At parts it did seem to drag, but other than that it was great.

In this book it deals with Tracey's connection to Roehn. It also focuses more on Scott and Glen too. It had some serious plot twists that make you second guess yourself. I kinda figured something bad was going to happen, but it wasn't predictable.  As the book goes on they experience some couple drama not to much to make it annoying. Which was nice. This book is based on a relationship, but more so the connection that they have as a couple. Besides them being bound and needing each other it's sweet. They really love each other and they would do anything for one another.

As I said before in my first review the world is so develop and different. I never read about these creatures before. I love this world. The aspect about everything is great. I can't wait to read the next book. I really which I knew why I waited this long to read this book. This is a 4.5 star book I would recommend it to people who love something different and a really great couple to follow.

I should start off by saying that I received a free copy of this book from the author.

I became obsessed with this series halfway through the first book, Burdened. And as I stated in my review of that book, this one was also perfect. I can't get over how much and how hard I fell in love with Peiri Ann's writing.

The second installment of the series deals with some of the problems in the first novel, I won't get into details but it was so fulfilling! The cliffhanger from Burdened was dealt with, and I'm super anxious to read the next book in the series so the cliffhanger from this series can be dealt with as well! This book was a perfect sequel to the first book in the series. And I'm aware that this one was just released, but I'm waiting impatiently for the third book in the series!

If you read the first book and loved it, I guarantee you will fall more in love with Tracey and Nathan by reading the second book. I will however again advise younger readers against reading this novel, there is plenty of language and scenes not meant for younger children.

I can guarantee however I'm going to be paying close attention to Miss Peiri Ann (and so should you!), I can't wait to read everything else that she writes. I'm becoming a biiig fan! Tainted, just like Burdened gets a well deserved 5 stars from me.

I received an ARC of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
Peiri Ann's first book in this series, Burdened, was a phenomenal paranormal read. Tainted definitely lived up to that standard and did not disappoint.
The main characters, Nathan and Tracey, continue in their newly found relationship. From Tracey's point of view, we experience every range of emotion possible, as their love is challenged. Many people and situations from the past and present threaten to disturb their future.
In Tainted, the author continues to expand on the abilities that are possessed by various characters in the story. There are many new and unique gifts that come to the forefront as characters are challenged to defend their lives.
Lies and deceit lace many of the pages of Tainted. Old truths are brought to light and new mysteries are revealed.
This is a must read paranormal romance novel. I cried, I laughed, I smiled 'til my cheeks hurt. I was enraged, stunned, and utterly taken by surprise. Book 2 took my on a roller coaster ride and landed me at the chocolate shop. Happy, happy, happy!!

What can I say without giving anything away? This follow up to Burdened was fantastic. It lived up to the first and did not lose any of the series luster like so many follow up books in a series.

Tracey and Nathan continue their journey together as they deal with Roehl and family issues. Several family secrets are revealed and many relationships are put to the test.

We continue to follow Scott and Glenn with their rocky relationship as well as the three, Scott, Glenn and Tracey try to finish high school without causing a scene.

There is a shocker in this book that I did not see coming. It was almost a relief in a way due to all the drama that was brought previously.

I really liked this book and Peiri Ann did it again. The pace of the book was great, the writing was wonderful and I had trouble putting it down.

Bound lovers, Tracey and Nathan return to face more threats and opposition to their relationship. Fighting off danger at every turn, these two come up against Nathan's half-brother Roehl, who is determined to have Tracey at any cost and other evil menaces that they never expected to encounter originating even closer to home. Facing off against danger, betrayal, and a loss no one saw coming, Tracey and Nathan once again have to prove whether or not their bond is stronger than all of the obstacles in their path.

So...although book 2 also has a bunch of typos and grammatical errors, this book was definitely better written than the 1st book. There are still way too many "you alls" thrown in here but you get used to them after the 1st book. Ms. Ann knows how to tell a good story and there are definitely enough twists and turns in this plot to keep you actively engaged.

Tainted by Ann Peiri

Independent reviewer for Paranormal Romance and Authors That Rock.
This book is the second book in the Burdened Series. I was lucky enough to get free copy for an honest review. I have to say that I didn't think this book was as good as Burdened, I had high hope for it after reading and falling in love with the 1st book. I not saying is bad but somehow the story line lost something for me, maybe there where to many characters and too many abrupt endings. Nathan and Tracey story sort of lost something along the way and sometimes ended abruptly when it could have been so much more. There are loads of little stories in the making and loads of adventures for all.
I will give it a 4 stars because i can't give 3.5. Not a bad book but not as good as the first.

This second novel was a bit better than the first. The sentence structures were a bit strange, as if the author wasn't comfortable using contractions, but once you get accustomed to that it was easy to move on.

These storeis are certainly busy! Lots of action going on, which meant I was never bored reading!

I really enjoyed the addition of Olar to the story, he brought some light-heartedness and humor to some stressful, dreary moments in the book. I've grown to really loathe Taylor, what a deceitful thing to do to your family. This author really knows how write the Villans in this story!

Overall, I enjoyed this story more than the first. I'm interested to see what other trouble Nathan and Tracey will get into in the next story.

This is the second book in The Burdened series.
It follows on from book 1, where we once again meet up with Tracey and Nathan. Tracey is still getting to grips with being mated to Nathan and meeting his large family. In between all this Nathan, Tracey and their burdened friends and family have problems with enemies that feel family members have debts towards them.
I just love this series, you read one chapter and think I will just do another until you realise you have been up all night reading a great book.
It’s very fast paced with some kind of event or disagreement happening in every chapter.
Characters are very well written. Well worth a read of the full series.

I loved this book, I think Olar and Tracey where my favorite characters. I found the book hard to put down and I loved that the drama and action was never dull. The book was freaking awesome. I give it 5 stars. My only regret is that I did not read book 1 first, now I have to go find it and read it. The story line flowed really well and the relationships between each character has its own presence. I can't wait to find out what happens with Lunis!!!!! OMG this book was great!!!!

It's hard to review this book without giving too much away. This one was way better than Burdened and I was excited to see the story develop. I think the writing flowed a lot better in this second book. We get to see the problem with Roehl get resolved. There is also a lot more with Scott and Glen and the other members of Nathan's family.

I really can't wait to see where book 3 takes the story.

Peiri sure knows how to weave a tale full of suspense. I gained an attachment for the characters in Burdened, & reading Tainted gave me even more insight into who they are, as well as who they were. I rode an emotional roller coaster, holding on tight, white knuckling from the suspense. With each new page, I was sucked into more & more of the world of sephlems, anxious, yet also nervous and a bit scared to find out what would happen next. And I loved every emotional, heart racing minute of it!

Better and better

This series just keeps getting better and better. Action, adventure, and the good old graduation. Things aren’t always as they seem, bonds are going to be tested to there fullest. Relationships that come and go. And the love of parents for both kids. I can’t get enough!

I understand why it was so slow for book one! This book was so intense! Glen and Scott had me in tears! That completely threw me! But where this ended has me wanting more!! Looking forward to book 3!
