Victoria and Jim get married in Las Vegas with their close friends Jillian and Brian in attendance. When they all get back from Vegas, Jillian and Brian try to adjust to her pregnancy and the issues it is causing to their sex life. Meanwhile, Victoria throws herself back into her practice as a Sex Therapist.
When Jillian’s best-selling novel gets turned into a film, she has more drama to deal with when an old nemesis shows up on set as a stand-in. But that’s not even the end of drama on set, the movie’s leading lady starts having issues with her tennis coach for the movie, Brian steps in to help her. What does Brian do when the actress makes a pass at him? Can Jillian trust Brian to not fall for the gorgeous leading lady?
Omg, I love this series. The situations each couple gets into individual, as a couple or as a group is hilarious and sexy all at the same time. Jillian and Brian are trying to navigate the changes in their relationship dealing with her pregnancy and everything that goes with it. The funny things that keep happening to Brian is beyond hilarious and I wonder if there can be someone that has as much bad luck as he does. The author had me laughing and crying at the same time with things that happened to him. I could completely sympathize with Jillian and her nausea she was experiencing.
I love how Victoria isn’t afraid to just say whatever she wants and just put things out there with her friends. She had all of this random knowledge on things that just makes you want to blink a few times and wonder how she knows this. I could see what drew Jim to her, she is someone that is hard to forget or let go.
I loved how real the conversations were, like it was entirely possible to be having these conversations with your wacky friend. I think the men in the each of the relationships are my favorite characters. They aren’t these super-alpha types, instead just men who enjoy sex, want to make their wives happy and somehow get through life the best that they can. Yet somehow have the funniest things happen to them and still manage to live to tell the tale even if it was extremely painful.
I definitely this book, but I would highly suggest that you start with book 1 so you can read about how both couples came to be together.
