4 Solid Sexy Stars
I was honored to have been given an ARC copy and finished this sexy book last night! The story was a fairly quick and light read in the angst department and very naughty and hot in the sex department:) I love to be able to mix up my books from time to time and Terry Towers is an author who allows me to just indulge in some very wicked and delicious tales, wink, wink without all of the emotional turmoil!
The Prologue of this story was GREAT, I mean I felt every emotion and then some and as I read, my heart literally broke for Ivy. As I said the story was fairly quick and to the point and as soon as we meet Evan and Trey, bam, the sexy was on.... I truly enjoyed Ivy, Evan and Trey a lot but yet selfishly, I had wished after the initial threesome that Evan and Ivy had branched out alone... I know, I know, poor Trey, right lol, I absolutely mean NO OFFENSE to Trey but that was just my own personal feelings. I truly felt the "deep" feelings between Evan and Ivy and although Evan was fine in the end, I didn't get the "feeling" that Evan was totally 100% onboard even though he claimed to be and again that's just my opinion. Now Trey, I LOVED him and he was just so sexy and carefree and just so willing to be a part of this, I felt absolutely no hesitation on his part at all but again wished they'd left it as a "fun" fling and then Trey went on to find his own woman. I was also confused, although I did get it until a certain point in the story, but then I didn't understand the need for "secrecy" with the parents and felt that should have been addressed and resolved instead of feeling like it was a "dirty, guilty" deed if that makes sense too.
PS.... Can I just say the one thing/person I absolutely hated, I mean, despised was Cassidy, Ivy's supposed best friend. I was appalled and speechless and so damn hurt for Ivy when she found out what Cassidy did behind her back KNOWING all along Ivy's feelings.... Hello, I mean who does that as a best friend!!!!! I wish I would have been able to read more about that particular storyline and watch Ivy kick her ass to the curb (not sure if she did or not). That was a real sore spot for me!!!! OK, OK, maybe I take my stories too seriously, lol, but if I could have jumped through my Kindle...I would have punched her out, hehehe!!

First word that comes to mind when reading this book is Delusional. Ivy is in love with her best friend and Step-brother (ew), Ethan. On the night before she goes off to college, Ivy tells Ethan that she is in love with him. When he doesn't respond, she runs out of his room, locks herself in hers, and then leaves without saying goodbye the next morning. The second word that comes to mind with this book is Pathetic. Ivy is convinced that the reason why Ethan isn't in love with her too is because she is obese. Not because he considers her his younger sister. 15 months and over 100 pounds later, Ivy returns home to teach her darling step-brother and his best friend Trey a lesson. Apparently, they were G-d's gift to women when they were in high school, and Ivy wants to teach them that they are no longer deserving of that title. She has a love em and leave em idea in her head- of course, doing both men at once is also part of her plan.
Ivy's best friend Cassidy is all for the plan, but questions whether or not emotions will get in the way. Isn't Ivy still in love with Ethan? Ivy is convinced that she can keep her emotions out of the plan. Until she actually executes the plan. Then, predictably, emotions are all over the place. Ethan is in love with her, and so, conveniently is Trey. The boys love her now that she's thin and hot, and can be taken out in public without embarrassing anyone.
This wouldn't be a true romance story without a bit of conflict, so, the conflict is that Ivy is discussing the plan with Cassidy and Trey overhears them. Cassidy also confesses that after Ivy left, she spent a little time sleeping with Ethan. But of course, since this is more about sex than story line, everyone is forgiven really quickly.
Besides the fact that this book made me think of Cruel Intentions and every V.C. Andrews book I read as a child (where the brother and sister fall in love and screw like bunnies), this was just okay. The writing was nothing spectacular. The story line had the potential to be good if the author focused more on storyline and less on getting the characters into the sack. The bedroom scenes also left something to be desired. It was a little too quick to be satisfying, and there were a few cringe inducing scenes where I was so turned off that I felt the need to take a very hot shower to wash away what I had read.

I thought the h Ivy at the beginning was a little childish when Ethan knocked her back and I could understand why he did it in a way seeing as she was going to college and he wouldn't see her and he wasn't ready on settling down but even then I couldn't see the chemistry between her and Ethan and I thought the story would begin more than just 15 months later because I thought the characters might delevop and grow a bit more but that is where the story begins.
Straight away from there I thought Ethan and Trey were very shallow and I would have liked to have seen Ivy be a little more curvy and I thought the plot she made up to seduce Ethan and then dump him was extremely childish, Personally I would have liked to seen her move on with someone completely different and then watch Ethan get jealous more than Trey.
The sex scenes were steamy but a bit unbelievable seeing as the three of them were complete novices to menages and they automatically knew what to do when the time came, I thought the scene where her so called best friend came in and admitted her little secret to Ivy was untasteful and I would have liked to have seen Ivy lay into her a little about that seeing as he bff knew her feeling towards Ethan and she goes and does that with him, so not good especially when she confronts Ethan about it and he makes excuses about it.
I liked the ending but I think it was more a hfn than hea, I would like to see a sequel to see where they go and if she puts a little weight on to see whether they are no longer shallow or not.

This book was just ok as far as I'm concerned. It had a good premise but something somewhere got lost for me. I think I would have liked it a bit better if the timeline of their separation was longer and her weight loss wasn't so drastic. While the characters all had good chemistry and the sex scenes were absolutely scorching hot I just didn't get how they got from lust to love, I think if there had been more time for reflection I might have been able to see it. I just couldn't get past the thought “oh she's skinny now so now we can love her”. It just made everyone seem really shallow, her included. I also though that the idea of the guys sharing her long term would have made more sense to me if they had shared women before and not just with her. I guess it just seemed to me like a whole lot of change over not a lot of time. This book was cleanly written though and like I said the sex is scorching. I've enjoyed some of Terry’s other work and will certainly keep reading her stories. I received an ARC of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I couldn't put it down I had to finish the story. Ivy Sullivan finally tells her stepbrother (Ethan Rouge)how she truely feels about him but he doesn't return her feelings. A year goes by with her avoiding him. She comes home from college with the idea of revenge. Ethan and his friend Trey are now firefighters and both have their eye on Ivy. Ivy comes up with the idea to seduce them both. Will she get her revenge? Or will she get what she really wants Ethan & Trey? I gave away enough spoilers...find out by reading this hot, sexy book.

I was hooked after the prologue and just had to finish the story! Ivy finally decides to tell her step-brother, Ethan, that she is in love with him before she heads off to college. I was heart-broken for her when Ethan was caught off-guard and didn't return her feelings. After a year going by, she returns home with her new smokin' hot body and a revenge plan. Originally meant for Ethan only, his best friend, Trey, ends up in the cross-hairs too. They both hurt so many ladies with their take 'em and leave 'em escapades, teaching them both a lesson will be sweet. What she wasn't counting on was realizing she was still in love with Ethan, and her chemistry with Trey was off the charts! Oh what about the sex you ask?? Molten and yummy! But then the feelings emerge. What's a girl to do when your plan crumbles and you are in love with two men?? You must find out how this trio manages this new dynamic by picking up this book!
The only thing I didn't care for was keeping their relationship a secret from their parents. There was no real reason for the deception. I feel once the nature of their relationship is finally revealed, their parents would feel mislead and hurt. That being said, it did not have an overall negative effect on the story and was definitely worth the read!

I was blessed to read this in advance. I loved it. Ivy was always the fat girl with the pretty face or the girl who just hung around with all the others. Her step-brother was Ethan and she was in love with him. She was leaving on her scholarship and had one last chance to tell him how she felt. She finally took the matter in her own hands and did it. When she told him she loved him, he told her he didn't feel the same way.
15 months, no communication and 120 pounds lighter she comes home and sees Ethan and his best friend Trey for the first time. They can't believe it is her. Of course, she has a plan of her own to treat them the way they have treated all the girls by loving them and leaving them.
But is she the only one that has changed? Both these men seem to want so much more than just one night any longer. And Ivy is still in love with Ethan, and what Ethan tried to tell Ivy when she never answered his calls or text over the 15 months may shock her.

I was so excited to be given an ARC copy. I put down another book just so I could start this one! O.M.G!! That was one HOT story! Ivy Sullivan comes home from college to get some revenge. But, in the process, she gets a whole lot more. Two firefighters, Ethan and Trey, have been best friends since childhood, sharing everything. After a year of bad feelings and misunderstandings, the trio tries to repair the damage between them and build a relationship. In so many of the ménage books the relationship seems to flow too easily. I liked how this story felt real to me, that the characters thought out the relationship and mechanics of making it work. I felt I could really relate to the story. I don’t normally read books with characters so young, but I have to say, I really enjoyed this one! It was well edited, gave my emotions a workout by making me angry one minute and laughing the next. The only thing I could say I didn’t like was that it needed to be longer and I didn’t like bouncing back and forth between characters. I don’t think it flowed well like that. That may be just a personal preference though. Anyway, Great Job Terry! I can’t wait to see what you come up with next!

Hmmm...I've gave this a 2 1/2 stars.
Tower's stories are often a hit or miss for me. I never know which one I'm getting which is why I can't seem to not read her stuff.
But for me, this one was a miss. I couldn't connect with Ivy (any of the characters) at all. She seemed... stupid. I mean, where's the standard? I felt the book focused more on outward appearance, rather than inward. And it really pissed me off how she got into his bff even after saying they nvr noticed her. The friend just seemed...idk.
Ugh. Idk.
I liked Ethan, but the acceptance...the trio relationship?
The book was okay, but it's not something I was re-read. To me the Ivy girl was immature, impulsive, kind of sluttish (as sluttish as a virgin can get) and just... ugh

The 3sum was written well, and I loved the scene in the shower w/ Ethan :3

This was an excellent book, very well written and with an interesting story line. The characters Ethan, Trey and Ivy are great friends who have shared experiences in the past as strictly friends. Ivy declares her love for her step sibling Ethan and then goes off to college heartbroken. Ethan tries to reconcile his feelings and cope with the pain of losing all communication with his best friend Ivy. Trey is a supportive friend, and encourages the ménage relationship when the chance arises. These characters are believable, and the author is able to write in such a way that the reader really feels what the characters are feeling.
Very happy to have found this book and this author. Will definitely look for more by Terry Towers.

The story has laughs, M/F/M and heartbreak.

I recommend this book. I wish it was longer and the story was more in-depth. It moved fast and felt a little rushed.

This book is HOT!!!

I got this story as a bonus with "The Brothers Next Door", this story was a MFM romance with a little taboo. I liked it. I felt it was a story I would read again. I like the way this author writes.

Ivy finally gets the nerve to lay it all on the line and tell Ethan that she loves him. Only Ethan is dumbfounded and doesn't react well to the news. Ivy shuts herself off from Ethan and goes to college. While there she finds herself and also looses a lot of weight. Now she is ready to teach Ethan a lesson about how it feels to be dumped. Only she wasn't planning on realizing she still loved him. She can't help but falling for his best friend either. What's a girl to do when she is in love with two men? This book was so good that I couldn't put it down! Absolutely loved it! Isn't it every girls fantasy to have two men to love and be loved back?

2.5 stars. I know authors work long and hard on their books and I like to find good things to say about every book I read. This one was a cute, quick read. The characters were mostly appealing. I just didn't understand the point of the story line. There was a revenge plan that made no real sense and didn't last long enough to carry the plot. There were two best friends who are both attracted to one woman and yet although one has had feelings for her for a while, the other guy suddenly has serious feelings out of the blue. It was cute but I'd prefer it maybe be longer and give the story-line a chance to develop more.

When Ivy came home to visit her plan was revenge. Too bad that's not what happened, when faced with Ethan again the feelings were still there only she also had feelings for his best friend Trey too, the man she was going to use for her revenge on Ethan. Now she hopes to convince them that they can be a trio in every sense. When Trey overheard what she originally planned though will what they have be ruined before it even gets started or can she prove what started as revenge has turned to something very real.
This was a sweet if different love story. It was a bit short but otherwise very good. It had the ability to make me laugh while still being smexy.

This author again has written another ménage romance.
Little twist? How about a step brother? Okay, not the usual twist with this really good storyline. The sex scenes were great, hot, but it was a very well thought out storyline that made this book work so well that the stepbrother kink really faded and the romance worked on its own merit.
Loved the characters. They were real and it's a love story that really works and you get it! This isn't a dirty, filthy indulgence written just for the sex scenes. It's a romance I could understand. Hell, I might have followed the same path?
Don't write spoilers. This book is worth your time to sit, read and really enjoy

Terry Towers never disappoints! I have read several of Terry’s books and although every one is different, one thing remains the same – they are all highly enjoyable! Forbidden Indulgences is certainly no different. I loved the premise of this book, and found the characters to be totally endearing. I was hooked on this story right from the beginning, and simply couldn’t put it down. If you’re looking for a story that’s sweet, intriguing, funny, romantic, endearing, and sexy, this is the book for you.

Well Ivy came home to have her revenge on Ethan and Trey, the towns heartbreaking playboys, but things didn't go as she planned. After a year away, seeing Ethan, all her feelings were still there but also new feelings were for Trey developed too but then things change and now she wants both men in her life but Trey hears about her plan of revenge and now she has to try and fix the problem and convince them both that her feelings for them are real.
This was a sweet and fun book but she a bit short.

I actually read this book before and didn't realize it. It was part of a bonus book from Research Purposes Only. This time it is part of The Brothers Next Door as a bonus book again. So, I am writing the review under the actual title so I know that I read it already.
According to my original review, it seems I like it better this time. I really liked Trey and the way he embraced the situation. You could tell Ethan really cared for Ivy, but didn't know how to let her know. The sex was fun and hot. A good ménage book without any M/M.

I totally loved Forbidden Indulgences...the story of Ivy, Ethan and Trey...more than just the three of them being involved in a sexual affair(which was super hot), the story had substance....I loved the multiple point of views...each character was unique and the story was very sweet and heartwarming...definitely a must read...I can't thank the author enough for sending me a copy

Man this was a really freaky ass book and I loved it. The story line was extremely believable even with the step sibling taboo portion. The sex scenes were great too. my only disappointment was job quick the saga started. it literally went from I'm the HS fat chick to the hot "I wanna rock ur world" chick in the same chapter. It would have been nice to really see how everyone's relationship was for some time prior to her going to college. regardless, it was a great read!

Wow! Very good book, ivy had a plan but it backfired on her when she fell in love with Trey & even more with Ethan. Now they have to figure out how to make the relationship between them work. This book had me laughing out loud often, especially when Ivy first brings up the idea of a threesome. Great story had me from the start and couldn't
put it down, it also helps that Trey & Ethan were hot. Definitely recommending this to all my friends and family.

Very good story! I gave it 5 stars because it was interesting, funny and sexy. Let's be honest a story with 2 firefighters??? Hot hot hot baby! It was easy to read, funny and I couldn't put it down once I started reading it. I recommend it. If you are into threesomes, than you will enjoy it for sure.
